The team at GHK exceeded expectations for our ceremony and reception and made destination wedding planning a breeze. Even with a late-in-the-game switch of (included in-house!) wedding planner, things went smoothly and every detail was attended to wonderfully. Brenda, Ella, and Ihilani were kind and accommodating from start through finish. They sensed any time I was getting overwhelmed or anxious and were able to quickly smooth things out. It was a pleasure to work with them.

The Grand Hyatt is by far one of the most beautiful venues out there. It was hard to choose which ceremony and reception spot we wanted as all of them were breathtaking! Amy, the wedding coordinator, was absolutely wonderful. She made sure that everything ran smoothly and perfectly.

This hotel is the most amazing hotel I have ever seen. The stay and wedding at the hotel exceeded any expectation I could have had. The hotel employees and hotel wedding coordinators are all so very nice. The wedding coordinators took care of everything and the wedding went smoothly. They responded very fast to any requests or questions I had while planning the wedding from Colorado. I got married at the gazebo overlooking the ocean and had my dinner reception at Tidepools. It was a perfect stress free day! I would highly recommend this venue.

Our wedding reception was held at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, Kauai ballroom. The wedding event planners were great to work with. Ella really catered to exactly what we wanted with food, decor, table arrangements, bar, etc. The food was absolutely great and our guests enjoyed. The only issue was that the bridal party didn't get their plated meals till later.

I was the coordinator for my sister's wedding. She was married on Shipwreck Beach, just outside of the Hyatt grounds, and had her wedding dinner at Tidepools Restaurant. When we first started looking at sites, the Hyatt was her dream location, but the prices on their website were way out of her budget. I decided to call and see if the prices were negotiable at all, and found that instead of booking a \"reception,\" we could make reservations for a large group at one of their restaurants. When I looked at Tidepools special group menu, the lowest price was $65 a person. But I found that they were willing to adjust and remove some of the items offered on the menu to create a slightly lower priced menu package for us. \r\rWe had 21 total in our party, and they accomodated us extraordinarily well. Tidepools is a gorgeous restaurant, perfect for a wedding reception, and they sat our party next to the giant Hyatt waterfall. They let us drop off our favors ahead of time, and they were all set out at each place setting when we arrived. We ordered a beautiful \"special occasion\" cake for only $72 to feed our group. The pastry chef made it in the wedding colors, and it was a beautiful, large, round, one tiered cake. If you're willing to pay more, you can get a made to order tiered wedding cake. We were happy with this option though. The staff was wonderful and brought out vases so that we could set all of the bouquets on the table, served us for the toast, and brought out a special knife for the cake cutting. The service was impeccable. We got the wonderful experience of a Grand Hyatt Kauai wedding reception at a very reasonable cost. \r\rThere were a couple of drawbacks doing it this way: \r\r1) The Hyatt will not let an offsite professional photographer come on site if you do not pay their wedding site fee, which is thousands of dollars. This was ok though for us. We knew it ahead of time, got all of the wedding photos with our photographer out on the beach, and for the reception dinner at Tidepools we just took our own photos. \r\r2) We weren't in a private room. They told us ahead of time that we \"probably\" would have our own room if the restaurant wasn't too full that night, but that even if we weren't in our own room it was ok to do our toast and cake cutting . As it turned out, Tidepools was busy that night, and there were a couple of small tables of people near us. We were warned that might happen, so it didn't bother us, but I did feel a little sorry for the people who were sat next to such a large group and hoped they didn't mind too much. \r\rAll in all, the staff and food at Tidepools was fabulous, and the cake was lovely. \r\rAnd we learned it is possible to have a reasonably priced wedding reception at the Grand Hyatt Kauai.

This was the most beautiful property I have stayed at on all the islands. We stayed here for our honeymoon. The people were so friendly and accommodating. It probably is a bit more to stay here than other places but well worth the price. The place is huge with lots of different places to eat and huge pool area that leads right out to the beach. We would definitely stay here again!!

This was the most beautiful property I have stayed at on all the islands. We stayed here for our honeymoon. The people were so friendly and accommodating. It probably is a bit more to stay here than other places but well worth the price. The place is huge with lots of different places to eat and huge pool area that leads right out to the beach. We would definitely stay here again!!

Best vacation ever. They upgraded our room. Gave us champagne. Plus, there are lots of other perks there for being on your honeymoon. It's definitely the place to spend your honeymoon! All I have to say is just go!

My Husband and I were over the moon pleased with the service and accomodations at the Grand Hyatt Kauai. Our honeymoon started in Kauai at the Marriott, but once we checked in to the Hyatt, we felt like our honeymoon had really just begun. The pool, the beach, the restaurants, the rooms, and the staff were superior to any Marriott property we had stayed at in the past. I can't say enough positives about our honeymoon stay here, we can't wait to go back!

My Husband and I were over the moon pleased with the service and accomodations at the Grand Hyatt Kauai. Our honeymoon started in Kauai at the Marriott, but once we checked in to the Hyatt, we felt like our honeymoon had really just begun. The pool, the beach, the restaurants, the rooms, and the staff were superior to any Marriott property we had stayed at in the past. I can't say enough positives about our honeymoon stay here, we can't wait to go back!

Hi had my wedding at GHK and I highly recommend this site for any wedding or event. There are many ceremony and reception sites to choose from and they don't charge a rental fee per se- instead you select a package and go from there. The wedding planner Jennifer is super organized and responsive for all your planning needs. She was also a rockstar the day of the wedding and all vendors were synced up seamlessly. I had a so much fun at my wedding and was relaxed thanks to the staff and the site was absolutely stunning. It was like a dream. Many of my guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We even had a stunning rainbow over the ocean for our ceremony.

Jennifer Schwartz our wedding coordinator at the Grand Hyatt was amazing. She was completely organized, responsive and had every last detail executed flawlessly on the wedding day. Besides the hotel being absolutely gorgeous, she was one of the reasons we chose to get married at the Grand Hyatt. Coordinating a destination wedding is hard enough when you are not there to plan, but she made everything so easy for us.

The Hyatt in Kauai is absolutely beautiful and the garden area is very pretty but for the money you spend to go to Hawaii for your wedding, you should get quality service from the wedding planner. In the midst of our planning, the wedding planner changed and I had a terrible time coordinating with her on any extras that we wanted. When we arrived, they had plastic white chairs for the guests and we didn't feel very \"taken care of\". It rained about an hour prior to the wedding and they wanted to move everything inside without waiting for it to clear up (it was sunny shortly after the rain).Everything was fine, but the wedding planner didn't seem to have much control and that is something you want on your wedding day. On the positive, the food at the Tidepools restaurant was fantastic, the guitar players were great during the ceremony and the Reverend was great as well. We loved the hotel but for $400 + per night for an average room was hard to pay for.

The hotel grounds are beautiful. We also had the ceremony at the hotel and the ceremony location had beautiful ocean views overlooking the beach - breath taking. The reception food was excellent - delicious! The ballroom we used for our reception was privately located on the opposite side of the hotel decorated with ancient Hawaiian motif. Large room ample space. Hotel staff is very easy to work with and accommodating.;If you have your reception in one of the ballrooms note that they are away from the oceanside so there are no views of the water from the room. We only had somewhat of a garden view. There were mosquitos outside the ballroom due to the small garden area in the front I received a few bites before the reception began! Of note - we had a difficult time with Audio/Visual. Apparently the hotel does not own the A/V equipment in the ballrooms so you have to pay extra (it can add up quickly!) and work with an outside vendor for any A/V you might want to use - that includes music hook up slideshow hook up and screen microphones special podiums etc. You can choose to have your reception in one of the gardens outside with oceanview but those venues are more expensive.
