Grand River Hall is a wedding and event venue in Freeport, IL. Located in the historic Rawleigh building, this setting offers a blend of old-world, industrial-chic charm and modern details. Their three event spaces, multiple packages, and in-house services will help you ensure you have all you need for a successful celebration. Grand River Hall's building was first built in the late 1800s and was carefully renovated over the years to host an array of businesses. This family-owned venue is nestled on the sixth floor and features plenty of floor space to host events with up to 300 guests. You will be welcome to host your ceremony in the Pearl Room, which features large windows, marble-style flooring, and painted brick walls to create an elegant, metropolitan atmosphere. After exchanging your vows, you and your guests can make your way to the Emerald Room, a warm, eclectic setting to dance the night away. The exposed brick makes for a stunning backdrop, while the vintage bar area makes each sip your guests take rich with style. For a memorable photo-op, the Rawleigh Rooftop is a picturesque option. The private setting offers an unobstructed view of the Freeport cityscape for you and your partner to enjoy the sunset. Sisters and co-owners Holly and Shelly will work closely with you to help you bring your nuptial vision to life. You will be welcome to select your vendors, from caterers to DJs, to match your style. Custom bar packages are available in-house. Chairs, tables, and linens will be provided to complete your design.

I just recently had my wedding at Grand River Hall and I most definitely recommend them. Holly and Shelly were both so amazingly helpful. GRH is such a beautiful place to have a wedding. I’m so happy we found them. All of our guests kept complementing how beautiful the venue was the rooftop bar is also a very nice touch.

We used Grand River Hall for our wedding and it was absolutely amazing! All the staff were so friendly and helpful and kept us on track. It really helped our stress level to have so many people making sure our day went perfect. We highly recommend this venue!!

Holly Alber & Shelly Edler (Owner) Meet the sisters and faces behind Grand River Hall! Holly is a mother to a spunky and energetic 5 year old Jackson, while Shelly, with husband Bradley, wrangles four kids - Maximus (5), Ruby (3), and 1 year old twins, Indie & Aksel. With our combined knowledge of event planning and coordination, we will be sure to deliver the perfect reception at our establishment. We love people, we love parties, and we love fun.
