Our wedding was completely what we expected and more. Lourdes was there every step of the way and made things happen for us that turned our vision into a reality. If you are looking for a venue that offers a DAY-OF coordinator, this is NOT the place. They will tell you that they do offer a wedding coordinator, but in fact that is a LIE. My husband and I just recently had our wedding there and up until the reception, the wedding was a shit show due to lack of assistance and guidance from our \"wedding coordinator.\" I had stressed to the coordinator for months, the importance of starting the ceremony on time. From the moment I arrived to the venue to the moment we started the ceremony, 20 mins had lapsed and yet the ceremony hadn't started. Our court stood in the lobby for 20minutes with no instruction on what to do. I had to tell my mother multiple times to go to the lobby to see what the hell was going on and why we were starting so late. Our hour of photos was a shit how because we had no one helping us to organize the family members we needed for our pictures. As a bride and groom, we did not want to have think of anything other than having fun on the day of our wedding. Instead, we stressed about time and attempted to coordinate our entire wedding. In addition, our \"coordinator\" then went on to ask us, right before the reception, if we had chosen a soup or salad as an appetizer for the guests. Imagine our frustration when our \"wedding coordinator\" didn't even remember a simple detail of our wedding even though, it had been discussed in MULTIPLE EMAILS days before the wedding. She even missed simple decor details that again has been discussed THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING. The venue states that \"on the day of the event, the main priority of the coordinator, is to oversee all the event details and to remove stress from the bride and groom\" This venue FAILED on all counts to alleviate any stress from us and help us through the most important day of our lives. Wedding planning for my husband and I began in April and we never felt loss. We always had someone answering the phone and the emails promptly and offering alternatives to ensure our vision came to life. Along the way, we switched venues 3 times and the management team at Grand Salon was nothing but exceptional and accommodating to my family and I. We had a lot of hiccups along the way including getting Covid 3 days prior to the event and finding out we were expecting all at once, and right there, when we thought everything was lost, Shayla and Grand Salon were there to support us unconditionally. I never in my wildest dreams expected the support my husband and I received from them and having our special day with them was the best thing that happened to us. We never felt pressured to add extras, we never felt like we were a bother, we honestly felt a genuine connection and Shayla was God sent for us. As you can imagine our wedding was a dream come true and more thanks to the amazing team at Grand Salon. First, the venue coordinators, Lia and Shayla, were the best to work with – they were easygoing and professional from the start, and made us and our whole crew feel very welcome. They were also very quick to respond. You couldn’t ask for such amazing ladies to work with and anyone who has planned a wedding knows you have a LOT of contact with your venue prior to the event. All our expectations were met and then some. They also work with a lot of great vendors that they recommend to you.The venue is a great location and has plenty of parking. It was so beautiful for our outdoor wedding, and then an easy transition to the indoor reception. The indoors is great for dining and dancing. The price is very affordable and I appreciate how accommodating they were to some of my requests. The photo opportunities are plentiful to get amazing shots with a lot of different backgrounds. On the day of our wedding, Lia was amazing and so helpful the entire time making sure my dream wedding came to life. Lia, very quickly, became like part of the family and jumped in when we needed any help throughout our wedding. Planning went well but the day of was a shocker. The air conditioning was not working properly and I was ignored numerous times by an employee. After the event I was sent videos of the room while being decorated. While watching the videos, I heard a staff planner referring to me as a “B-TCH” numerous times. I was also advised that she had taken treats that were prepared for my guests after being told not to more than once. Once this was bought to the owner’s attention, I was just advised the member was disciplined but essentially thanks for your $ but we won’t be refunding anything for the bad service. This event was not a small event nor has any other event I have thrown there. Lisbeth Perez(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-11-2020 The team at Grand Salon Ballroom we’re incredibly helpful and kind through the entire wedding planning process from the bartenders (shoutout to Alex) to the waiters to the cleanup crew and most important, I cannot thank enough my AMAZING Event Producer Lia for making sure everything went smooth and exactly how I wanted it. They responded quickly to emails and were happy to accommodate my requests. Due to COVID19 my food was uncertain for a long time but they MADE IT HAPPEND and we were able to have what we wanted and paid for and let me tell you, paying the upgrade for the food was worth it, the food is FIRE and SO DELICIOUS. I can’t thank them enough for ensuring my day went so smoothly. As for the venue(s), beautiful setting, delicious food, great vendors! The entire event surpassed my expectations. Had a late November wedding on a Saturday night, originally was suppose to be an outside ceremony but the weather had other plans so Lia made sure that everyone quickly moved everything inside so my wedding can continue and came out even better than what I had hoped. The downside was that I didn't get to see the room before it was full of guests and enjoy the small details we worked hard on, but that's what the photos were for. Its a full service venue with preferred vendors you can choose from and the staff is incredibly patient and kind! Lia guided us on selecting everything from the table linen to the plates and accessories . Highly recommend, no pressure into upgrades, they do give suggestions, but ultimately supply you with everything you need in their packages to have an unforgettable wedding. We were told our cocktail hour would be outside and the day of that did not occur and we were told we had to reserve it although we did. Although the food was great, the sides that accompanied the food were not what we were given the day of our food tasting. We were provided a risotto option and were told by multiple wait staff and the day of coordinator it had crab in it, and for religious purposes a majority of our party did not eat. We wrre not told until the end of the food service that it did not have crab (clearly it was to late at that point). Our uplights were not provided and were only turned on after we discussed it with the day of coordinator. The day of coordinator was of no help. He kept trying to rush us through pictures to follow a timeline we never saw and waited on our say so to begin cocktail hour. He didnt even understand what a bustle was and just stood their trying to rush us to bustle the dress. We were given no time to set up table numbers or any last minute details until an hour before the ceremony. Our cake was also switched with the wedding from the day before and although the bride informed several different people no one thought to contact the cake vendor to inform her the cake was incorrect so she would have time to prepare the right one for our wedding. They waited until we saw the cake to say anything which was beyond disappointing. We were hoping someone would call and at least apologize for the things that went wrong but no one has or even followed up to see how everything was. The only positive was the food. KRISTIN VARA(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-01-2021 MISREPRESENTATION OF PRICES AND PACKAGESI have been looking at venues for two months and have consistently spoken with Killian/Grand Salon for a month and a half. Over that time, I traveled approximately two hours each way to visit the venue a total of 4 times - bringing my fiancé, mom and sister on different occasions. After our first visit I began speaking with the venue staff via email, phone, and in person to iron our details about our wedding. Then, when we finally got the contract sent to us, there were a number of additional charges that they never mentioned previously such as required security, vendor meals, no kids pricing, requiring most of the money for the entire wedding months before the wedding date, not allowing the DJ to speak during the event, and allowing cancellations on their side for any reason. Naturally, we had questions about these additional provisions in the contract but we were able to get answers to the questions and still liked the venue.Additionally, during these conversations I also indicated my potential wedding dates on multiple occasions. When I inquired about dates the venue staff informed me that one of our potential dates was a premium day (New Years Eve) but never mentioned anything about the other days that we were looking at (1/17/21 and 2/14/21). We were looking at these dates because the venue informed us that there was a discount for Sunday weddings.We went back this weekend with the intention of signing the contract and securing our date for the venue. When we arrived and met with the event coordinator that we have been working with we started workout out the pricing/payment schedule. It was at that point that I realized she had added an additional $15 per person to the price we had originally received. I pointed it out and noted that was the incorrect price and she then stated, for the first time in over a month or speaking with the venue, that there was a surcharge for that particular Sunday (1/17/21) because there was a holiday that Monday (MLK Day).I noted that she had never mentioned that surcharge pricing in the past and her reply was that she didn’t tell me about the surcharge because I was interested in multiple dates - mind you two of the three dates I was interested in ended up with this surprise surcharge price.At this point the manager, Tony, chimed in as he had been sitting in the room the entire time. We again noted the issue with this surprise surcharge and Tony’s solution was simply to pick another date or pay the difference. No apology, no offer to help remedy the clear misrepresentation about the pricing on the dates I was interested in, no nothing. By the end of the conversation Tony essentially told us pay the surcharge or go somewhere else. In fact, the only solution that Tony gave was to get a less expensive package and add multiple additional upgrades.I am unbelievably disappointed in Killian/Grand Salon business etiquette especially since I was initially so hopeful about the venue and my ability to have a great experience there.Some people would certainly consider their business practices dishonest - though I would hope that others do not experience the same lack of tact when dealing with this venue. FYI: If dealing with Tony be prepared because he is hands down the most arrogant and condescending individual I have yet to meet in my wedding preparations and I have been to over 20 venues at this point. Its a full service venue with preferred vendors you can choose from (shout out to Chaple Photography for the amazing work they did capturing all of the amazing moments! Another shout out to DJ Willy for keepjng the party going and for giving our guests the best experience ever!)and the staff is incrdeibly paitent and kind! They guided us on selecting everything from the table cloth to the lighting of the room.They were very on top of emails and responding to us. To the point that the few times I had sebt my husband to go in on his own, they sent me an email to recap what they talked about, which is amazing because he didn't remember everything lol.Only downside...we had an outdoor receptikn planned to get married under their grand oak tree... it is literally a dream guys... but it rained so we had to move it inside. Super missed out on a beautiful evening (night time...daylight savings and all...) but it was a seamless transition from moving everything inside, including our floral arrangements. The downside was that I didn't get to see the room before it was full of guests and enjoy the small details we worked hard on, but thats what the photos were for (shout out again to Chaple Photography for capturing all the small details I missed! So amazing). So be weary of planning an outside weather, here at Grand Salon they had a back upplanned that worked beautifully.Highly reccomend, no pressure into upgrades, they do give suggestions, but ultimately supply you with everything you need in their packages to have an unforgetable wedding.Thanks again to the amazing event producers: Lisette being on top of everything, Kat answering all of my ridiculous emails crazy fast, and especially Miriam who made sure everything went as smooth as possible the day of! I was having a destination wedding in Miami and I lived in Chicago. Their communication was horrible and every time I let them know how upset I was, nothing changed, nobody cared. If I wanted to get things done or get the answer I was looking for I HAD to come in to the office and speak to them face to face. Meaning, I had to make flights to come in. Not one single person attends to you, the emails get responded by whoever sees it first so the back and forth communication gets very confusing and repetitive.The day of my wedding Lisset was helpful in coordinating everything for the day, especially when my mariachi band did not show up. But when it came time for my cake cutting my cutlery for the cake cutting went missing and I was assured,by Lisset, that their staff were not allowed to take anything from off the tables. So in order to not waste time I went ahead and used one of their cheap plastic sets to take my photos and video. Once the photo and video left for the night that is when my cutlery APPEARED. Apparently the staff took it to the back to \"shine\" it. Dinner came out extremely late which meant that everyone was sitting around waiting to eat and my dancing time was cut short. The DJ even came up to me and asked me what was happening with dinner. Their excuse was that the toasts took too long, which really has nothing to do with why dinner wasn't ready to be served. If it wasn’t for their help AFTER the wedding and providing security footage for a serious issue, I would have given them a 2.Overall, I wish they cared more and payed more attention to the clients needs and wants. The location was great, The food was great, the venue is affordable (love that it comes with all the vendors), the reception hall is super nice but the SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION IS NOT GOOD. Our vision was getting married under a beautiful oak tree and it doesn't get much more beautiful that theirs. From the start, the staff worked with us to help make our rustic wedding vision come to life. They exceeded our expectations with helping us plan, giving us suggestions, taking our indoor decorations to the next level, and making sure everything ran smoothly the day of. They are extremely easy to communicate with and always respond promptly. The vendors that we used were all amazing and exceeded our expectations as well. We couldn't be happier with the staff, the venue, or the way our wedding turned out. Danae Soler(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-12-2018 Very early on on the process of wedding planning we fell in love with the reception halls and ceremony places of Grand Salon reception Hall and even though we live out of state decided to go with them since most of our family and friends live in Miami. Grand Salon event coordinators guided us the entire process and made sure that we had everything we needed to make our wedding day a perfect one. I loved that they provided everything you need in their packages (food, flowers, table set up, cake, security, servers, etc) and all the vendors that they work with and recommended were very professional and did excellent work. Also their packages, for everything they include, are very very very very fairly priced, it was one of the most beautiful venues that we looked at and the only one that didn’t exceed our budget for the things we wanted. The food was absolutely delicious (we did the bourbon glazed chicken, rice pilaf and roasted potatoes) our guest LOOOOOOOVEEED it, there was not a plate that had food left in it. They also provided an open bar for the whole reception time which was also AMAZING, the cocktails and liquor provided were of excellent quality and guests absolutely enjoyed it (we are still hearing about it days after). We had our wedding ceremony at the gazebo and then did the reception at their other location in front of Miami Dade College and it was absolutely stunning, guest had no issue finding both locations and parking was plentiful. Since we live out of state we only went for the tasting and went to pick our flowers and cake on the same visit, they were super responsive to e-mails and phone calls and answered every question we ever had. They also provide an event producer and day off coordinator which will help make sure all of the major decisions are done (who is the florist, who is bringing the cake, etc.) as well as talking with you and seeing what do you want for wedding day to look like in terms of colors, how you want your napkins folded, what color ties you want, basically all the little details. Honestly my husband and I could not be happier with our decision of holding our wedding at Grand Salon. If I could give them 100 out of 5 stars I would, if you are even considering holding your event here please do; you won’t regret it. Theres not one thing I would change about my wedding day and that’s almost entirely due to Grand Salon and their excellent service. Thank you GS for making a wedding day the best day of my life. The upkeep of the place is excellent, everything was very clean and in very good conditions. People were commenting on how good it smelled as well. We chose the Ciudamar room due to our guest count and the room, though smaller, has its own private bar (which is beautiful) and people kept raving about it. The packages they offered us were great and very well priced considering what you are getting. Each vendor that we chose, we paid additional fees to because the package only covers the basics. (We bought our getting ready photos, bouquets and boutonnieres, plus flowers for the cake). We ended up using an outside vendor for our wedding cake, and it all went smoothly. Our reception was beautiful, the table setups, the flowers, the uplighting, all of it. During our rehearsal, they let us walk around the reception hall so I could point out to my bridesmaids where I wanted things set up for the wedding. A coordinator even walked around with us and offered suggestions and ideas to help our setup be even better. They called me the day before the wedding to confirm what they were removing from the room for us and if I had any other questions. One concern I have is with their system of having event coordinators rotate the events rather than having one assigned to you. I felt like I had to repeat things in emails because I was not sure who would be reading it that day. The day of the wedding went smoothly for the most part. Our ceremony ended earlier than the time set aside, so our happy hour started earlier as well. Our event coordinator told us that our reception would be ending sooner because of this. But then our emcee showed up almost 30 minutes late, so it put our schedule back on regular time. Our dj, hired by the venue, tried to end our reception early several times, which was frustrating because they kept turning the lights on. The up keep of the place is excellent, everything was very clean and in very good conditions. I chose the Cidumar room due to my guest count and the room though smaller has its own private bar (which it beautiful). I first approached Miriam the owner when I was looking at the venues for my wedding. She was a true professional and true to her word. One of my concerns were the curtains in the room, they looked very out dated. I told Miriam and she that they will be changed before my wedding (which she did and they were perfect). They offer you as an option a list of vendors and give you the choice to choose from them. Some are great and some are very unprofessional, I made a comment about it and in order to defend their vendor they started to treat me in differently and send me an email about it. When a client feels a certain way about a situation I believe it should be taken in consideration. I don’t agree with their system of having event coordinators rotate the events rather than having one assigned to you, it causes confusion and disorganization. I was the type of Bride that knew exactly what I wanted and how, you would think it would be an easier transition in planning. Though they treated me like if I were putting more on them or as a bother, because I was so specific and organized. I came across a very nice and helpful event coordinator but sadly she left the company before my wedding. They also make you pay an additional fee for not using one of their vendors. On the day of the wedding the event coordinator that was assigned to me, was very attentive to me. Though gave my family a difficult time when they were trying to set up the wedding, which they had limited time because the person in charge of the items was late (they only provide 30 minutes previous to the wedding and I do not think it’s enough time) and even through the rush the event coordinator was being very demanding to them. The food was excellent and the service was good as well. But one of the events of my wedding that was truly devastating to me was that the staff broke my cake topper and did not tell me about. They handed me the top layer on the cake with only the head of the groom, when I had asked what happen. He replied \"Why are you so upset, it broke and you can just purchase another.\" No remorse at all, I asked why he didn’t remove the cake toppers first before taking the cake. He had no answers. I do understand that in a big event there is always mistakes, but I truly believe the company in the process of planning the event should have been more understanding. Reviewed on 21-07-2018

We had a great time dancing and the food is very good. The ballroom is beautiful and so is the outside area under the oak trees. My wedding there became more stressful for me than it should have been. The event coordinator you get here doesn't do as much as coordinators at other venues I've been a bridesmaid in. The venue also did not answer their phone one time that I called over the 9 months that I booked them through the wedding day. You pretty much have to email and wait for a response - they didn't always respond to all my numbered points either. The rehearsal on Thursday evening was very stressful for us - we were told we got an event coordinator who would help us at the wedding and at the rehearsal also. None of the staff members came out of the office to help me. I went in there several times trying to ask for guidance with timing, where to stand and walk in case of rain, etc. and came out with barely any help. The coordinator should have been helping with the scheduled rehearsal - not sitting at her computer. This was very upsetting.I was told multiple times, including on the morning of my wedding day, that we were the only event scheduled for that night. I asked if my bridesmaids and I could come to the venue early and hide out in the circular bar area while our guests arrived. I was told this was no problem and would be perfect. When I arrived at the venue that evening the coordinator told me this was a problem because there actually was another event going on in there - I'm not sure how this was overlooked every time the staff looked up the schedule and how they didn't know there were multiple events even on the morning of... we ended up squeezing into the small bridal room to wait and probably would have made other arrangements had we known the bar area wasn't available to sit in. I gave the coordinator an order of events for my reception since I was told I had to plan all of that. I typed out a whole script according to that order for my MC, who was a family member (which they suggested). The day of the wedding the coordinator tried changing the order of events - we felt like she wanted to change it so all the events were scrunched in the beginning so she could go home earlier. I told the staff prior to the wedding that I would have personalized napkins to be handed out with the cake and I was told this was not a problem. They were set out around the cake ready to go. When it was time to cut the cake the event coordinator could not be found - the photographer had to run back to the kitchen to get a plate for us to put the cake on. Not one of the napkins were handed out.Multiple guests had a hard time communicating with servers because of a language barrier. Several people could not get more water because the server did not understand what they were asking for. This was also a problem with the DJ - I tried asking for her to change the style of the music and she couldn't understand me and I couldn't understand her. For the amount of money we spent we felt like there were a lot of mistakes and a lot of extra stress for us in the days leading up to and on the day of the wedding. I didn't expect everything to go perfectly - I understand there will always be mistakes in such a big event. The main thing that could have been improved on was more support and communication with the event coordinator assigned to me. Reviewed on 17-07-2018

Jocelyn was a dream to work with. From the beginning they addressed every detail and kept in constant communication. They honestly don’t leave much to stress about. I was supposed to have an Oak Tree Ceremony but, being Miami, a huge storm rolled in that day and we had to move the ceremony inside. They made sure everything was set up to my liking and walked me through all the changes. Grand Salon made it super easy for us because they include everything on the packages so you don't have to be looking for hundreds of different vendors all around; they give you different package options in three beautiful rooms. You only have to worry about meeting 2 of each vendor (cake, photo, and flowers) and decide who you prefer; they take care of everything for you. The DJ also makes everything super easy for you; you only have to fill out a form on their website and write any special song or request you have. During the organization process the Grand Salon staff is always available to answer questions. The day of the event, you have event coordinators at all times to make sure everything goes smooth and perfect.They are also very accommodating with any special requests you might have. Grand salon and they're vendors are very professional. Another very important factor is the price, I don't want to say is cheap but it is very affordable.If you are planning your wedding, I really do recommend Grand Salon; you will have a beautiful event, with excellent service at a great price. I planned this wedding from out of state and the event planning ladies were there for me with every question or concern I had which made it so easy. I had an outdoor oak tree ceremony and my reception in the Ciudamar room. On the wedding day I had my own event coordinator there to make sure everything was running smoothly and took so many wonderful pictures as well. The food was fantastic and i had such wonderful upgrades which the guests enjoyed (chocolate fountain, ice sculpture and luge, photo booth). The ceremony was beautiful and my guests were amazed with the fireworks! I used Frank Nunez as my MoC who was amazing and Concept music DJ kept everyone dancing all night. There were a few hiccups in the beginning of the planning but they were quickly sorted out. Drawback is that you don't have complete flexibility in the vendors you can bring in but the vendors that they have available are excellent...at least the ones I chose from the options available. From day one, Jayde, Liset, and all of the staff made sure our vision would become a reality. They worked with us to ensure that our elaborate event went smoothly. All their vendors were also a dream to work with—M&J Custom Events, Tina’s Original Cakes, and Concept Music. We also worked with some of their recommended vendors—Weddings by Marty, Frank Nuñez, Kristy and Vic Photography, Sunflower Entertainment, and Best Fireworks. We could not be happier with all of them! The day of our wedding was perfect and even better than we could have imagined. Everyone was amazed at how beautiful the ceremony space was in their new area by the oak trees and how elegantly the ballroom was set up. The service was impeccable and everyone loved the food. Our wedding guests, my husband, and I enjoyed the evening so much, we did not want the night to end! We are so thankful at how hard the staff worked leading up to and the day of our wedding. When we choose our venue we wanted to make sure we choose a place that was gay friendly. When we went in they treated us with respect and answered any question I had no matter how many times I called or emailed them. We were supposed to have our ceremony outside in the gazebo area. Well on my wedding day it decided to rain so as any bride would do I freaked out. I called them to ask what was plan B. They said they would move the ceremony inside where we would have our reception in the Ciudamar room. Not what I wanted to hear because of course I wanted my ceremony outside. Let me say when I walked down the aisle from what my watery eyes could see (from crying lol) it was beyond what I expected. Having the ceremony inside made it more intimate and turned out great. They set everything up quickly and took everything down just as fast when we were ready for the reception. I couldn't have asked for it any other way. I don't think any other venue could have done such an amazing job as they did. All we had to do was show up and the rest was taken care of. They made everything so smooth. It was a hard process because I was not in Miami to see and speak with the coordinators in person, but they were able to work out with me and get everything ready for our big day. Lorraine was wonderful! She is such a sweetheart and very helpful. My husband wanted to do a backstage entrance and she talked to the master of ceremony to allow us to do what he wanted to do. I had a Gazebo \r\rCeremony at Killian palms Country Club and then I had my Reception at Grand Salon Reception Hall. As \rsoon as I saw the Gazebo I fell in love and I knew that I wanted to get married there but I also loved \r\rGrand Salon Reception Hall and I didn’t want to have to choose. Thankfully, Carolina, one of the event \rcoordinators was quick to tell me that I didn’t have to choose. The event coordinators and people \rworking on my event made sure that the transfer from one venue to another, and the whole event in \r\rgeneral ran as smooth as possible. The DJ, the MC, the Waiters, and the Bartenders were very \r\rprofessional and flexible with everybody’s demands. The food was wonderful and was exactly what I \rwanted. Carolina helped me choose my colors and was very helpful throughout the coordinating process. I loved the setup of the salon; the elevated stage was beautiful and gave a majestic look to the venue. The waiters were extremely professional and the food was exquisite! Although some people may not like the shopping center setting, I personally thought it made it more intimate. It didn’t even feel like a shopping center because all of the stores were closed, except for Grand Salon. However, after looking at many places throughout Miami, picking Killian Palms Country Club became easy. Nothing else came close. We decided to have both our ceremony and reception there. The Gazebo was a wonderful setting for the outdoor wedding I always wanted and Ciudamar room was perfect for our smaller guest list. Every detail of our wedding met our expectations. The food was delicious! In fact, my guests told me multiple times how impressed they were. The staff at Grand Salon are all professionals! From planning our wedding to the day of the event, my husband and I were extremely satisfied. They even sent us beautiful photos of our event before we had gotten any from out photographer! We immediately felt in love of the fact that it was not surrounded by any shopping centers. The location felt so private and right for such event. The entrance and lobby are super elegant.For our ceremony we picked the gazebo at the Killian Country Club. It had the perfect indoor lobby for guests to mingle before going out to the ceremony and the white Gazebo was surrounded by beautiful greeneries which gave us perfect pictures. Our master of ceremony was Frank and he did an excellent job. Not only was he very energetic but his words were precious. For the reception and cocktail hour we picked the Grand Salon Reception Hall. The high ceilings, chandeliers and spacious room gave it a castle touch. We picked Glamour for our florist and we couldn't have asked for more, she paid extreme attention to every detail we wanted and that day was more than we envisioned. The food was delicious during our tasting and like every person we were nervous the day of was going to be different except that the day of the wedding the food was even better. The music was impeccable due to the non stop dancing. For cake we chose Devine Delicacies, our cake was not only gorgeous but tasty too. The waiters and staff were extremely attentive, specially our captain who made sure to not serve our food until we were sitting down at our table so it would 't get cold, saved us some delicious hor' derves from the cocktail hour, saved us cake to eat and saved us the top of the cake to freeze back at home for good luck without us having to ask for it. Our coordinator's name was Carolina, she was so helpful and made every step easier. She even saved my veil for me when my nerves made me leave it behind in a corner. The workers were amazing and fixed a tiny problem that came up the day of the wedding with no problem. They were fast and the DJ was great. Everyone was so helpful. The food was amazing, I had people coming up to me telling me how that was the best food they have ever eaten at a wedding (so compliments to the chief). My flowers were beautiful, and my cake was so simple but elegant just what I asked for. But the best thing I can say about this place is the price! So affordable, with awesome packages. After the first review I gave which was honest, Grand Salon turned the experience around,our concerns where heard and they immediately took action to help this wedding perfect, from decoration to the food to the music, EVERYONE cant stop talking about how beautiful the wedding was, the delicious food, and the exceptional service from waiters and the bar tender, the dj was the best part of the night he only played the music my sister requested, on time and processional, hopefully in the future since it is a beautiful location they can talk and understand conversations in person from the first time, over all it was a perfect wedding thank you to their amazing service that night, we will be back definitely for more since my brother is planing to get married soon too. There is only one horrible issue with this place & that is the people at the office who you deal with during the event preparation. There are 3 woman on the office who will only be willing to help you on two occasions. The day that you are signing the contract, & the day they are collecting your money. For example, when my wife first asked them for the packages, we learn that asking any question will be too much of a burden for them. Their attitude was horrible most of the time & they made it seem as if we should already know all that is needed to know for a marriage preparation. Also getting in contact with them was impossible, you have to call 8 to get an answers, if I ever get them to pick up the phone. When they were confronted about this their response was that they were too busy & we should send emails instead. When we sent emails they also took days to respond. When we had to do the wedding invitations, there were mistakes repeatedly. They said the invitations took a week & took 3 to print. Even the day of our wedding they had a car parked in front blocking the entrance. When I asked them to move the car as my soon to be wife was about to arrive they lie saying they moved it. In general they were the hardest part of my weeding.\rOn the other hand all the other people were excellent. The food & waiters were good, the recommended vendors are all excellent. Personally we went with Lopez photography, Mr. Bee’s cakes, concept music, Weddings by Frank, and M & J flowers. These vendors make dealing with the people at the salon’s office worth the effort. They will even give you more information on how to conduct the weeding than the 3 women at the office. Not to mention the vendors are extremely flexible, nothing like the 3 woman at the office who would not even take more than a minute after 6 if you needed any information. This place should be a 5 star reception hall, but dealing with irresponsible, arrogant, & reticent at the office made it to be a 1 at best. \r Reviewed on 25-05-2015

They provide all inclusive packages, which can be a good and bad thing. You have the option to not go with some of their vendors, but the credit they give you does not come close to what you will end up paying for an outside vendor. Other than that, the staff is very friendly, responds to emails in a timely manner. The food was well perceived at our wedding, our guests are still talking about how good the food was. \rWe had our wedding ceremony at the gazebo, which would have been perfect, if it wasn't for the kids on the golf course on the other side making a lot of noise. The staff had advised us that they inform the golf club when weddings would be going on, but I guess that didn't make a difference. I mainly dealt with Katherine, who has an uncanny memory and always remembered my name as well as the party date.\rI received many positive comments about the entire wait staff. \r\rTwo people I have to mention:\rRene was there early enough to let us in so we could put a few favors out. Rene was a joy to deal with and extremely helpful. \rThat is saying a lot since I was a nervous wreck, and very concerned no one would be there to open the door.\r \rBatista (Head waiter) was wonderful. No other word comes to mind. \rWhat a professional person. He handled the few issues that came up \rwith calm and composure and immediately came up with solutions. First of all I need to thank Katherine and Lorraine for their amazing customer service from start to finish. They are a real asset to the venue. \rI am going to try to be very specific in my review so that it can be as helpful as possible. The first thing you should understand is that I live in Las Vegas and was planning the wedding from very far away. This is the main reason the venue appealed to me – it is great value for an all-inclusive wedding! I could not spend time going to 100 different vendors finding everything from flowers to invitations. From this end the venue was perfect for me. However, if you want something that is 100% customized with a very distinct vision this may not be the venue for you. Switching costs for not using their vendors can be high, so you need to understand that before selecting. For me it was an easy decision, and having pre-selected vendors worked.\rSome items to consider:\r-They have a lot of upgrade options. I selected quite a few, but there is a 20% service charge on everything so consider this before booking. If you want a lot of upgrades like Chiavari chairs, these are much more expensive than if you went direct to the vendor. For some items they allow outside vendors, but will charge a $100 outside vendor fee. However, I found that a lot of the vendors were overpriced so I was able to find cheaper options externally even with the $100 fee (specifically I found very high quality photo booth and hora loca vendors for up to 40% cheaper than what the venue offered). This is not a huge deal if you are willing to use their vendors for most items, which I did.\r-Katherine and Lorraine are great, but they are not the ultimate decision makers. Everything you request has to be passed through a manager. This can be a bit annoying and some of the decisions do not make a lot of sense. I think management would benefit from giving Katherine and Lorraine more responsibility on this end.\r-Parking is plentiful, the dance floor is HUGE and the large ballroom has its own bathroom. This is great for large weddings! I had 200 guests, and the venue accommodated everyone perfectly\r-The banquet staff is a pleasure to work with. The day of the event Katherine and Lorraine were there to make sure everything was perfect, and the banquet staff added an element of fun to the event. \r-I cannot recommend Glamour Floral Creations, which is the approved flower vendor I used. They left out a few of my requests (flowers on the cake and several votives during the ceremony) and then did not say anything! As if the bride who has spent hours thinking of every detail would not notice that some items were missing! I complained, but they only gave me a partial refund for the items I did not receive.\r-Mr. Bee’s cakes were amazing, the DJ was top notch, lighting and décor was perfect, the fireworks show was definitely a ceremony highlight, and invitation options were plentiful – the other vendors were great!\r-I chose to go with my own photo/video-grapher because this is an area I wanted to splurge on, but they do have 5 options to choose from.\r-I used Frank Nunez as my officiant and MC. He was amazing! I received many compliments about the bi-lingual ceremony he performed.\rOverall my wedding day was perfect and Killian Palms Country club really delivered. While the venue is not for everyone and it could benefit from being a bit more flexible, at the end of the day they produced a fantastic event. Reviewed on 20-03-2013

The dance floor is beyond compare, large and gorgeous! The food was better than any other wedding venue I've been to (we served churrasco or chicken). The employees were great and they had lots of extra options available. Our package included cocktail hour with hor d’oeuvres, five hour open bar, dinner, wedding cake, coffee, DJ, wedding invitations, linens, dinnerware. Champagne toast. Everything for around $100 per person.. maybe less, we had 100 guests. There was more included in the initial package but I chose to use other vendors for flowers, photography, etc. So they gave me a credit for the items I removed from the package. As soon as I arrived on the day of my wedding I was greated by Lorraine, and was treated as a princess. My guest all loved the food and the drinks where great with good liquor amount. If you are a bride that wants a one stop shop, this is the place for you. Katherine and Lorraine, answer all your emails and questions, fast, are very friendly and knowledgable about there job. My husband and I mostly worked with Lorraine and she always returned emails and phone calls. Once you booked with them, they gave you a list of vendors to work with. You set things up, taste the cakes and such, and then they took care of almost everything else. They set up the linens and such. Though we had to set up our favors and guest book, which wasn't so bad. They have 3 options and a gazebo for weddings - weddings and banquets are definitely their business! We loved having our small reception (maybe 75 people) in the Ciudamar room. It has a great round bar and the dining room was intimate (evening for an afternoon reception). Our reception ended as another wedding began (at their Killian Palms location) and it got a little awkward and very busy with people, but it was okay. They offer an amazing wedding package, as do many other places, but here we had so much to choose from! We have two different cake places, five photographers, two or three flower places...and so on! They included invitations, DJ, photo, video, cake, food, open bar!!! We were a little bit worried about the DJ, but they were beyond wonderful!!!!!!!!!!! The DJ's gave our party the over the top party feel we wanted!!!!! Olga helped us out every step of the way, she was patient and kind....the staff, the day of the wedding was great!! The servers and bartender were on point!! No one could believe what a beautiful wedding we had!!! I cannot talk enough about how perfect it was! Everyone loved the food, the music, the cake and our centerpieces!!! I just wish it would've lasted longer!!!
