For your convenience, parking and wireless internet are provided by the venue.
This venue is so unique and the way they decorated it for Christmas made it incredible. Our wedding was small (45 people) and had no problems with the space. We opted for the smaller (top) room with the bar just outside the room. This was great for the attendees. We opted for the 3 appetizer, with a carving station, meal. Our food selections included the meatballs, caprese skewers, the quesadilla and the beef tenderloin. Everything was delicious. Our guests all commented on how good the food was. The servers were polite, professional and very efficient with busing the tables throughout the evening. We had an open bar for the duration of the event and the available drink selections were perfect.Brian was a tremendous help during the process and made sure everything moved smoothly the entire evening. Here is my only criticisms. 1. There is no \"dedicated\" room for either the bride or groom to get ready in. We knew this was the situation before renting the space and Brian was kind enough to let us use his office and that worked out fine. This didn't affect my review, but it might for others.2. The bathrooms are a real disappointment. I didn't see the ladies room, but the men's room was a mess. The wallpaper has been partially ripped off the walls, the metal wall next to the urinal is severely rusted where the \"splash\" happens. Yuck. The mirror and bathroom counter were in rough shape. While they appeared to be clean, the run down parts don't make it feel clean. I deducted 1 star for this reason. For $5-$10K they could remove the wall paper, repaint, install a new mirror, new counter etc. It would not take much to spruce the bathrooms up and make this place impeccable and then 5 stars would be warranted all day long.None of our guests made any comment about the restrooms, it was just something that stuck out to me.The price for the venue, meal and staff was so reasonable, and was one of our primary factors for choosing them.Even with this criticism I would not have gone anywhere else and our day was the best. We loved every minute of our wedding here. Brian was so helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. He was very responsive to every email and question sent. We were able to have a tasting prior to the wedding to help us perfectly craft our menu. We held both our ceremony and our reception here. The food was AMAZING and the staff were very accommodating and helpful throughout the whole reception. We chose to do the buffet style and it was ran very efficiently. There was someone always at the bar able to provide drinks for us and our guests. We both would highly recommend this venue. Reviewed on 07-11-2023

We recently held our son & daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner for 30 guests (wedding party & families) at The Graystone Wine Cellar. From our initial meeting with Brian in November of 2022 up to the week prior to our event, we have been very pleased with all our communications-clear, concise & prompt. Brian also made very appropriate suggestions with regards to our appetizer & meal options. The rehearsal dinner was a huge success. The Graystone Winery was at the top of our list when my now-husband and I got engaged and began looking at venues. We both had been there before on separate occasions, and remembered its incredible ambiance and excellent food. Nothing has changed over the years, and the service, atmosphere and menus are still outstanding! Brian Johnson (General Manager) met with us more than once to discuss our plans and review their options. Their event packages were very customizable, and - knowing the quality of their services and food - were very reasonably priced. We had a perfect wedding and reception, and our guests raved about the venue, food and staff (they still talk about how beautiful the space is and how much fun everyone had!). We couldn’t recommend The Graystone Winery enough!! Reviewed on 21-05-2023

Danny Garrison(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-09-2021 My wife and I hosted our wedding at Graystone on September 4th, 2021, and it was everything we hoped for. We received tons of compliments about the venue, with the old European feel that you get in the wine cellar. The food was excellent, and all of our guests loved their meals. Brian at Graystone was amazing to work with, and let us shape the event exactly how we imagined it. The rest of the staff were excellent as well, with friendly service all throughout the night. We were able to execute the ceremony exactly how we wanted, arrange tables and seating to our own designs, and during both the ceremony and reception we were able to play our own music through our iPad on Graystone's great sound system. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they'd ever attended. The whole night went perfectly, and Graystone will always have a special place in our hearts. Reviewed on 06-09-2021
Alice Momenee(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-10-2020 Recommend 100%! Brian and his team made our experience for our daughter and son in law's rehearsal dinner top notch, catering to our every need and very flexible with our schedule. It was an intimate setting for our guest list (around 50) and allowed us to share video, music and celebratory toasts with everyone being able to enjoy and hear what was going on. Handicap access is something to preview before the event if that is a concern, but there is an elevator at the back and the steps in that area are newer and easy to navigate. Food was delicious - everyone enjoyed the lasagna dinner that we selected. They were also great with special dietary requests. We would definitely go back. Brian, the owner, has been an exceptional help during the whole process and graciously worked with us when we needed to postpone our reception. Serena Gluck(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-03-2018 We had our wedding at Graystone Wine Cellar. It was a great location for our smaller (75 people) wedding, with lots of ambiance. The owner/manager was very relaxed and easygoing about our use of the venue and what we wanted to do. His demeanor eliminated a lot of unnecessary stress that I had felt touring other venues. Dinner service wasn't super fast (we had a sit down dinner), but the food was really good and the drinks were strong! I would caution brides about using candles though at any venue! One of our centerpieces caught fire before the ceremony. LOL. No one got hurt so it's a funny story, but even with having to evacuate the building, our wedding still started on time and the staff remained calm and professional. Reviewed on 19-09-2018

Tina Smith(wedding party)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-11-2017 I'm the Mother of the Bride and I felt it was important to voice my concerns. First of all, the venue staff was very unprofessional. I will make this short. My daughter sent a pic of how she wanted the cake (nothing bundt cake) set up and how she wanted the tables set and it didn't happen. We had to tell them to put the cake out and when they did, they just threw flower petals on the table. The tables were set up wrong so it was crowded. When we gave them the \"25 min warning\" and they were suppose to move the slide show table from in front of the sweatheart table, they didn't. They \"served\" salad when it was suppose to be a buffet and instead of putting the salad plates on the table, they \"served\" us which took a long time. The salad was a joke. Literally a few pieces of lettuce and a sliver of onion. They finally released us to eat and the roasted potatoes were dry and hard, the pecan chicken was dry. The Beef tenderloin was good. When the bridal cake was cut, they were suppose to have cut the other cakes and put them out in the buffet area. They decided to serve the cake(only 1 kind) and I asked about the other cakes and they said they were in the buffet area. Why??? Then I was later told they didn't even \"serve\" cake to everyone at the table, just a few and never came back. I walked to all the tables and told them there were other cakes in the buffet area. To end the night on a bad note, because of the dinner fiasco, we ran 30 min behind so we had less time to dance. The groom told the staff to remove 2 tables from the dance floor because there wasn't enough space to dance. When the DJ stopped playing at 10- we started cleaning up. We had a cookie table set up in front of the bar and my sister in law was sitting there and the waitstaff started complaining saying, \"when are they going to clean up these cookies, we need to leave\". She informed them she was the Aunt of the bride and they shut up. The person my daughter worked with, Brian, was on vacation so there was suppose to be someone else there as her point of contact and it was chaotic! Well, my daughter sent Brian an email telling him how bad everything went and I'm interested to find out his reply. If I didn't know any better, I would think this was the FIRST wedding they ever did. Reviewed on 21-05-2018

Everyone is still talking about it.\rCons: A little dark for ideal photos. Not very handicap accessible if you plan to use both levels. Although Brian was accomodating to most any request we had, I felt like I had to drive the entire process with him. I felt like there should have been some sort of checklist we needed to review. As it was, I ended up going through my own list and asking him what our options were. I felt like I was bothering or annoying him every time we spoke, and I really don't think I asked for that much. I considered Graystone Wine Cellar for my son's rehearsal dinner because of its character & charm; I selected it because of its value & straightforwardness. Brian is a joy to work with. Every detail, including linens, is covered & included in the price so there are no add-on costs. The prices were fair and extremely competitive. The food was incredible--best filet mignon in town, and the pecan chicken is phenomenal! The lighting and music were exquisite. I chose to decorate the tables with fresh flowers, but it really wasn't necessary--the tables are tastefully appointed without them. Almost every guest came up to me to tell me what a great choice I had made in Graystone Wine Cellar--they were right! I hope my second son marries a Columbus girl, too! Reviewed on 07-07-2014
Jenny Germann(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-12-2013 We wanted to keep our wedding under 100 people which is what turned us on to this location. The price was right and it is definitely a unique space. There are truly no hidden costs. You have to see it in person to get the full feel as the pictures don't do it the full justice it deserves. We ended up with 90 people and, although dinner was a little tight (which we expected), once people were able to get up and spread out, it was perfect. \r\rBrian is very accommodating and the staff is very nice. They know what works best for the space so I highly suggest going with their suggestions. We received so many compliments from friends and family. Ashley Pritt(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-10-2012 I would HIGHLY recommend Graystone for a small(er) wedding for under 100 people. We had a 50-guest wedding there and it is perfect. It has a very romantic feel to it, a little dark inside and has a wonderful mood for a wedding/reception. The package options for dinner are extremely reasonable for the portions of appetizers/dinner/champagne toast/open bar that is all included in the price. Our guests RAVED about the food. I've been to so many weddings where the food has been terrible/bland and this is not that type of venue. They are very easy to work with, quick to call/email when communication/questions arise and all around I can't say anything negative about my experience. When getting married it's a stressful enough time and to work with a venue that is this flexible, reasonable priced and reliable, it makes things so much easier on you. Also, for the bar options, they have a great selection of wines (about 8-10 I think) available for guests to choose from and about 6 different types of beer (Columbus Brewing Company, Guiness, Strongbow, etc., not just your traditional Bud Lights). The location was spectacular; I had many out of town guests and my husband and I were very proud to introduce them to Columbus through this location. The food was spectacular, the open bar stocked with top shelf, and the layout intimate and cozy. It is truly one of a kind!\r\rI did, however, have several guest complaints about the bartender. He was rude and impatient. I spoke with the owner, so hopefully this issue was resolved because it would be a shame for someone to miss out on this wonderful location because of a rude bartender. \r\rThe packages are so convenient!
