Me and my husband had our wedding here two weeks ago. We toured their banquet rooms last Summer and choose their facility because at our initial meeting they offered us a package we couldn't refuse. They were also going to fully renovated in time for our special day & we loved the renderings we saw and could picture ourselves creating wonderful memories there. We had no major issues throughout the year leading up until our final walk through meeting. When we sat down with the coordinator it was apparent that things like setting up our ceremony, even though we were told set-up would be included, was going to be an inconvenience also not to mention the fact that we had to come in for our rehearsal on a Sunday which was her day off. During our actual rehearsal I tried to communicate how I wanted certain things to flow & felt like I was constantly getting dismissed and told how I should change things and do it another way. I thought maybe I was just being unfair about my feelings of being unheard, but my entire bridal party said that she was being rude and dismissive as well.She also kept hinting that it would be ok if we stayed after she left and set-up the reception space so she had less to do the next day. On our actual wedding day she did check in a few times but during a few moments where we needed someone there was no one to be found. My brother and our other vendors actually took on those tasks for us which we are tremendously grateful for. I spent the first hour of my day setting up my ceremony anyway to make sure it would be done right because at the point I had no confidence it would be done correctly. We also had no one to direct our guests as they arrived, (which was promised before we signed the contract), & a few guests that needed to use their elevator were left walking around not sure where to go. Our main course was also not prepared the same way we had experienced during our tasting. For the price you pay for a plated dinner it shouldnt have tasted like a freezer meal.But to be fair, even though this review may get deleted,there were parts of our day that were truly amazing & that's why I have given the rating I have. Our coordinator did in fact set-up our reception space for us the way I had asked & was able to make another last minute change. The waitstaff was phenomenal & treated everyone like royalty. I didn't make it to the bar but was told the bartenders did an amazing job all night. Our cocktail hour selections were very delicious & our guests are still talking about those dishes.I wish we could have had that food the entire night. We did get a discounted package with extras included & the the venue itself and it's renovations are absolutely stunning. We do have beautiful pictures and video to look back on and it was a beautiful day. Overall our guests, me, and my husband enjoyed ourselves, but feel our money could have been better spent elsewhere or been directly given to the staff and vendors that made our day so special. I know most people have had better experiences overall throughout their interactions with this GB, but these are both the good and bad moments we experienced. I'd recommend really doing your research on any venue you may be considering and look at all of the reviews you may find. Other bad reviews stated similar issues we had and I wish we would have looked a bit closer before booking. Our troubles may have been entirely avoided if we had gone with our 2nd, or 3rd choice from the beginning.

We were one of the first weddings after their major renovation! The venue is absolutely gorgeous! Serving staff was absolutely so amazing throughout our entire wedding day there beginning at 9 am - our waitress Maria always made sure we were taken care of and Paul was the absolute best! My husband and I did not miss any food as we had plates prepared for us by him and always a drink in our hand! Service is top notch here! So many compliments! Sharon and Danielle are amazing at their jobs and are very helpful (especially in the stressful situation of renovations and making sure everything was complete and perfect for our special day)! I am so happy I chose to have our special day at Greate Bay after touring many South Jersey venues - they are truly so Greate!!!

We were one of the first weddings after their major renovation! The venue is absolutely gorgeous! Serving staff was absolutely so amazing throughout our entire wedding day there beginning at 9 am - our waitress Maria always made sure we were taken care of and Paul was the absolute best! My husband and I did not miss any food as we had plates prepared for us by him and always a drink in our hand! Service is top notch here! So many compliments! Sharon and Danielle are amazing at their jobs and are very helpful (especially in the stressful situation of renovations and making sure everything was complete and perfect for our special day)! I was Part of a bridal party for my best friends wedding and let me tell you, I have never seen such a well executed wedding! The team they have in place for this venue is top notch!!!! Shoran organized the ceremony perfect and flawlessly and Danielle, the wedding manager was phenomenal!!!!! The servers were very professional and we could tell they were trained properly and skilled. We are all in the business and It’s not easy to find good banquet staff. The food was delicious as well and the night went perfectly. The main server Maria was FANTASTIC (and that is an understatement). Danielle set the room up with such care and she was around whenever we needed her. She even offered to go to the store for us when we needed some extra items we were missing!! That is true service right there! Kudos to Shoran and Danielle and the rest of the staff at Greate Bay for making us all feel just as important as the bride and groom!!

My wedding, just a couple weeks ago, at Greate Bay Country Club was honestly everything I ever wanted, and more! Sharon and Danielle were just fantastic throughout the entire planning process from beginning to end. Sharon was extremely responsive, helpful, and attentive to every question and concern my husband and I ever had. Danielle was phenomenal at executing my wedding-day vision perfectly, to the point where guests and myself were wowed at it all! They both had the honesty and professionalism my husband and I needed to make our vision come to life in the best (and least stressful) way possible. Greate Bay’s food and bar service was excellent. We honestly can’t think of ONE complaint from the entire wedding night. It went so perfectly and smoothly for us and our guests! We got tons of compliments on how beautiful the recently renovated venue was, the food, the service, and everything in between! We truly had a flawless night. It was all made so easy for us that, as a bride, I didn’t have a single worry! The entire staff at Greate Bay made us feel so special and cared about as the Bride and Groom. It was such a nice, relieving feeling on what is basically the most stressful, yet amazing, day of your life. We could not recommend Greate Bay more for your wedding or event!!! We are just thrilled thinking back at all of it.. Thank you again Sharon & Danielle!

When we first heard the choice of a venue was a country club golf course we were hesitant to say the least that the ambience and food would not be wedding worthy. Contrary to what we thought, Great Bay Country Club was above and beyond what was expected. The wedding service was on the beach, we had the rehearsal at GBCC all the details were covered and everything worked out perfectly at the beach. Sharon made sure that guests were bused to the beach for the service and returned to the venue for the cocktail hour and reception. The service was phenomenal, the preparation and decor were astonishing and their product was visually delightful and tasty. The cocktail hour was amazing with plenty of seating for the guests to mingle and move around. The main course was awesome followed by fabulous dessert islands. We danced and sang throughout the evening and then sadly the night was ending with a cheesesteak, french fries and pretzels as a night treat as guests were leaving. Many thanks to Ron the General Manager, Sharon the Catering Sales Manager and Danielle the Banquet Manager for a phenomenal day and night just sensational.

For my wife and I, the wedding planning process started out like everyone else’s with an overwhelming number of choices for wedding venues. When we met with Sharon at Greate Bay Country Club (GBCC), we loved how “at ease” she made us feel. When we decided to go with GBCC as our wedding venue, at that time did not know how lucky we were in making that decision. We were one of the countless number of couples impacted by the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Our original wedding date was April 4, 2020. After 4 rescheduled wedding dates, we finally got married in person on March 19, 2022. Throughout the two years of rescheduled wedding dates, Sharon was incredibly understanding, sympathetic and accommodating. My wife and I just wanted everyone to be safe at our wedding, but also understood that GBCC is a business that needs to generate a profit. The pandemic hit everyone hard financially, and the wedding industry was no exception. The cost of everything went up. We were speechless when, through the multiple rescheduled dates, GBCC did not raise the price over the course of the two years, when in fact, they would have been perfectly justified in doing so. We were so thankful for choosing GBCC as our wedding venue. Sharon was easy to work with throughout the wedding planning process. She returned emails and phone calls quickly and answered all our questions thoroughly. You could tell that she has a vast knowledge and great deal of experience in all facets of planning a wedding. We appreciated her attention to detail and suggestions. My wife and I got married at GBCC and the reception immediately followed the wedding. The day of the wedding, when my wife and I arrived at GBCC, we were blown away by how amazing everything looked! The room where the ceremony was to be held was beautiful, as was the reception and cocktail areas. Sharon, Danielle and their team implemented our vision for our wedding flawlessly. No detail was overlooked. Throughout the day, the staff gave excellent customer service. The end of this review is going to be unlike any other review that you will have read because at our wedding, my Mom fell on the dance floor and broke her hip. My sister went to the hospital with my Mom, and my wife and I helped to load her in the ambulance. Throughout the whole ordeal, Danielle from GBCC was right by our side, even getting my Mom a table cloth to use as a blanket when we were outside waiting for the ambulance because she was cold. Danielle navigated an extremely difficult crisis with grace and class. When we went back to the wedding reception, Danielle informed my wife and I that GBCC was going to extend our wedding reception by a half hour at no cost to us. No one had asked them to do that – they just did it because they saw how awful the situation was and wanted to help. To this day, my wife and I cannot adequately put into words how much we appreciated that beautiful gesture. Through that experience, we were able to see that not only was the staff at GBCC able to provide excellent service, but in addition, they were really exceptional people who genuinely care for others. If you are looking for a beautiful wedding venue, who will provide excellent customer service, who were absolutely amazing to work with, and who are genuinely good people, then my wife and I give GBCC our highest recommendation. Sharon and her team will not disappoint, and you will be so happy that you selected the best in the wedding industry!

After our wedding, we had MANY guests reach out to share that it was \"the best wedding they have ever been to!\" From the early planning stages to the day of, Sharon and her team were total pros. They took care of everything, truly. I was so calm through the whole process because I had total trust in the Greate Bay team. Not only are they pros, but the renovations to the ballroom are gorgeous! It is a fantastic venue if you're looking for a beautiful and fun wedding experience!

Sharon was a great help and very professional along with the rest of her staff. The food was delicious and the great ballroom looked beautiful. I would recommend this venue to other couples looking to get married as well. The pricing was reasonable for the amount of guests we had.

The team at greate Bay made my planning and day so easy ! All my guest spoke very highly of my wedding day and wouldn’t of been like that without the awesome venue I had . If I had to choose a place for and an event I would most def choose greate bay hands down. Food is awesome !

Greate Bay was absolutely perfect for my wedding. Sharon for the months leading up to the wedding was on top of it and kept me well informed all through the various changes in Covid Restrictions. My day of team with Maria and Danielle (and Sharon) as well as a gentleman who I didn't catch his name were all so accommodating and considerate of me - making sure I had a drink and food all night. Everything went very smoothly and it was overall a very easy day with no stress. Danielle had even set up some extra table arrangements for me for the cocktail room with leftover flowers from earlier in the week and Maria went out of her way to see if I wanted to keep the flowers at the gazebo from the day before' s event (which was awesome as I didn't get flowers for that area) All of my guests had great things to say about the food! Greate Bay was absolutely perfect for my wedding. Sharon for the months leading up to the wedding was on top of it and kept me well informed all through the various changes in Covid Restrictions. My day of team with Maria and Danielle (and Sharon) as well as a gentleman who I didn't catch his name were all so accommodating and considerate of me - making sure I had a drink and food all night. Everything went very smoothly and it was overall a very easy day with no stress. Danielle had even set up some extra table arrangements for me for the cocktail room with leftover flowers from earlier in the week and Maria went out of her way to see if I wanted to keep the flowers at the gazebo from the day before' s event (which was awesome as I didn't get flowers for that area) All of my guests had great things to say about the food! After our initial wedding caterer went out if business due to COVID and losing out deposit we nearly gave up on having a reception. We decided we would do a small Covid wedding and then a big reception on our one year anniversary. We were looking for a venue that would work with our new significantly smaller budget and Sharon at Greate Bay made it work! Our wedding ended up being much smaller than expected (100 rather than 170 guests) so we were able to add back in some of the things we had taken out. In the end , Greate Bay was the best decision we could have made. The bridal suite allowed us to get ready at the venue, the pub allowed us to have an after party with Mancini an d Manco pizza. And let me tell you about the food! Best wedding food I’ve ever had. We scaled back to fish, chicken, and ravioli and several guests commented on how perfectly cooked the salmon was. The service was outstanding , the outdoor space is ideal for pictures. The giant windows in the reception area are gorgeous. Several people commented on how nice the venue is. Our third time is a charm wedding reception was perfect in every way. Highly recommend!!

I have to say Greate Bay has been hands down such an amazing venue. Sharon and her staff went above and beyond for us. The greate bay country club was the absolute perfect venue for my wedding!! The location is perfect being right outside of ocean city, the outdoor ceremony space is beautiful with the lake and fountain and gazebo, and the ballroom inside is gorgeous! Sharon Ireland, the event coordinator was so helpful and amazing throughout the whole process. Getting married during covid was stressful but Sharon made sure to come up with creative solutions to every problem we faced and to always keep me calm throughout every step of the process. She gave us so many deals that allowed my dream wedding to happen at an affordable price and was so flexible and willing to make everything happen just as I wanted it to. The day of the wedding sharon was there to make sure everything went smoothly and it all did go fantastic! I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful place to get married and incredible people to work with and help make it happen!! Our wedding at Greate Bay Country Club was the best day ever!!! After having to totally re-arrange our wedding plans due to COVID, Sharon helped us to plan an amazing wedding reception. Since we had to cut back our large guest list, our original plan was to have a smaller reception (about 90) people at Greate Bay and then have a larger reception next year in Philly where we were originally supposed to get married, but our smaller reception was so fantastic that we no longer feel the need to have another reception. Highly recommend!

We had so many issues with planning our wedding because the wedding coordinator was not very helpful. She spent more time talking to us about other peoples’ weddings than our own. We asked her at least four times to see their decorations for centerpieces and every time she would say that their decorator wasn’t there even though I would tell her weeks in advance that we were coming. We just ended up buying everything for our centerpieces and other decorations. We had a beach ceremony, which she clearly was not happy about. She complained about other couples having too many decorations to bring to the beach. The day of our wedding we were getting on the party bus to go to the beach and we were basically loading our own decorations. When we got to the beach there was a giant pipe blocking the view of the ocean. She kept saying how it would be fine and that the bridesmaids and groomsman would block it in pictures. You couldn’t even see the water - that’s how big the pipe was.After we payed the final bill she told us that their bridal suite was being renovated and we couldn’t use it. They have a locker room area so she said we could use that for hair and makeup. When the makeup ladies got there half of the outlets didn’t work, there were no tables for them, and it was very hot. The coordinator was no where to be found because she was not coming in until later. I saw her once the entire day before the ceremony.During our reception when the DJ was in the middle of introducing us all, she came up to me and asked me how much my hair and makeup cost, totally uncalled for. The food was pretty good. One of the entrees did not taste the same as it did during our tasting, which was disappointing. The decorations we brought were set up very nicely by the decorator and everything looked great at the reception. The venue as a whole is very pretty and the staff was great. We used their two decks and outdoor bar for the reception. Overall, the whole night was great and everyone had a great time.

Greate Bay gave us a fabulous dinner celebrating our daughter's Wedding Mass. We decided to do the big reception next year because of the virus but wanted some type of celebration. It was very difficult finding a venue for even our small party but Greate Bay came to our rescue! Amazing ! Great Bay helped us plan our daughters wedding in less than a month. The staff was very professional. They became part of out family for this once in a lifetime event! They made our special day fit our budget as well as keeping it beautiful. Our guests wanted for nothing. Food was great...venuje was beautiful (ceremony outside by gazebo) , staff catered to us...our daughter and her new husband were so happy. The wedding venue it’s self is beautiful. However the wedding coordinator absolutely sucks. She promised things that never happened. For example, one of my brides maids went looking for her so we could start the ceremony and found her in her office on her phone!! I’m sorry this is an event, you shouldn’t be on your phone in your office!! Manny other terrible things happened but I am not going to waste my time.

DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE. Disappointment doesn't even begin to describe our experience for my sisters wedding. As per stated in her contract, the bridal party arrived at 3pm. Sharron (the coordinator) was no where to be found. We continued as planned with pictures.I can personally say that I did not see the coordinator until we walked down the isle. That is COMPLETELY unacceptable. As wedding coordinator she should have been at the venue several hrs prior to the bride getting there make sure that everything was up to snuff. She then had the audacity to ask the groomsmen if the guests were all seated so we could begin the ceremony. This woman was expecting everyone else to do her job for her. Luckily the ceremony went smoothly. Now, this is where I start to get angry. The bar lines were 30 min deep. AT LEAST. We gave a head count several weeks prior to the wedding. They were not staffed to accommodate the 200 guests. When the reception was supposed to start, the DJ and I started going around cocktail hr telling guests to make their way to their seats. As the matron of honor and the DJ - we should NOT have been doing Sharon's job for her. She is PAID TO DO HER JOB. Once everyone was seated and dinner was about to be served... I WAS SERVED BEFORE THE BRIDE AND GROOM. It took well over an hr close to 2 to serve all guests their food. They also didn't serve a whole table at a time. Food was handed out at random. Best part right here - THEY RAN OUT OF DESSERTS. I have never once been to a wedding where they ran out of desserts. NEVER. I also had to feed the vendors granola bars because they did not get fed until 10:30 pm. All I can say is - stay clear of this venue. You will surely regret it. Luckily I was able to hide everything from the bride and groom but guests are also starting to complain to them. Save your money and go to a better wedding venue that has a competent wedding coordinator that knows what she's doing.

My wedding was on October 6th 2018, and can I say that Greate Bay was awesome. Everyone raved about the venu and how great the food was as well as how everything turned out. Sharon helped me so much especially since I was planning this wedding from out of town. She was easy to reach and always answered every question. Their staff their is amazing I was waited on hand and foot but the waiting staff I always had what I wanted and never had an empty drink. The place is beautiful and using the bridal suite and locker rooms made getting ready so much easier. My ceremony was even held on the beach and they did everything to make sure it turned out exactly how I evvisioned it. They even used all my decorations that I had bought and wanted out. POverall, I would recommend greate bay to anyone who is planning on getting married!

Had our wedding on 10/13/18 and hands down the best day of our lives. Beautiful venue, lots of indoor/outdoors space, and best of all, responsive staff (we didn't even need to hire a wedding planner!) answered all our calls, emails within 24 hours. This was very important as we were mostly planning this wedding remotely, living about 3-4 hours away from the venue. This place has one of the most competitive all-inclusive packages we have seen in terms of ceremony, decorations, cake, premium open bar, tons of included appetizers during cocktail hour plus we received special discounts for booking late on a date that happened to be open! All of this inclusive without sacrificing quality. We were even able to throw in a custom made ice sculpture for a very reasonable price, which they lighted beautifully during our cocktail hour. Also their recommended DJ was phenomenal and the venue was also very accommodating to our 2 videographers and 2 photographers who all arrived a little early to take some first look photos. Can't wait to post pics, it was truly a beautiful day.

Ocean City Yacht Club was absolutely breathtaking for our wedding!! Our guests were raving about the incredible views, and the ceremony outside on the dock was perfect. The space inside is ideal for dancing, and the whole place gives an intimate feel. Greate Bay Country Club took over the planning and catering halfway through our planning process, and did a great job of making sure we got exactly what we wanted! The food from Greate Bay was incredible, and the entire day ran flawlessly. If you’re looking for a unique venue at the shore, we would highly recommend OCYC and Greate Bay!

Sharon and Tammy are the best and were so helpful through everything, which was awesome for me because I had to plan my wedding from 6 hours away. Tammy sat down with me one day and went over all the decorations we wanted to have at the reception and cocktail hour and everything was perfect. The day of was raining off and on and Sharon assured me all would be good for an outside ceremony and when the rain finally stopped she was out there quickly setting up chairs so the ceremony could start. Tammy and Sharon go above and beyond to help with whatever you need and I could not have planned a wedding without them. I would highly recommend Greate Bay and cannot thank them both enough!

Greate Bay CC in Somers Point, NJ, did a fantastic job on my daughter's wedding reception on Saturday, May 5, 2018. We were thrilled with the professionalism and courtesy we received as we planned a large (180 guests) reception in a fairly short engagement of six months. We received great advice and support from Director of Catering Sales Sharon Ireland and Banquet ManagerTammy Seuff. Between the two of them, they have close to 60 years of experience in planning events. That experience really helped us. Our guests raved about the food, the service, and the courtesy of the waitstaff to a disabled guest. Tammy Seuff took our idea for centerpieces and executed it flawlessly. She also decorated the cocktail room and the main dining room exactly as we had discussed. She even added some nice touches we had not thought of.We were also impressed with the help Greate Bay provided with our beachfront wedding ceremony in Ocean City. Greate Bay provided the chairs, the decorative trellis, and the manpower to set up and remove them. The chairs arrived as planned at 3pm for a 4:30 ceremony and were removed promptly afterwards, which was important because our daughter got married on a very popular public beach.The club also had a comprehensive list of recommended vendors. We used their list for the cake vendor, the DJ, the photographer and the transportation.Greate Bay was the first call we made based on its reputation and we are very glad we did. As the mother of the bride who did the planning for my out of town daughter, I was very impressed.

The weather was not cooperative (20mph winds on the beach and cold), but Sharon went out of her way to set it up and make it beautiful! All of the guests enjoyed the great happy hour presentations and the buffet dinner was fabulous. I would recommend this venue to anyone that asks!! Great job!

My wedding was on August 12, 2017. Great Bay went above and beyond to make sure everything was just perfect! They were so easy to work with and anytime I had questions they quickly got back to me. My bridal party got ready in the suite which worked out perfect. We were able to relax and just enjoy the day and not feel rushed to get from one place to the other. It poured all morning long and through out the time I was getting ready they continued to check on us to make sure we were ok and to reassure us that everything would work out for the ceremony. It stopped raining 2 hours before we were set to be married outside. It turned out to be the most perfect day the sun came out just in time! I made most of the decorations for my wedding and the added touches they put in to it and how they arranged it all was just how I envision it. The food was amazing from what we had in the bridal suite, to cocktail, dinner and the dessert we had with our cake. The staff was amazing throughout the whole day I highly recommend having an event at Greate Bay.

We had our wedding at Greate Bay Country Club in July. The staff at Greate Bay was top notch. Everything was so beautiful and perfect. The food was amazing, the landscape was gorgeous, and the staff was so friendly and attentive. They truly made the best day of our lives, the best day ever! We had a party afterward in the bar and the staff just continued to smile, even when it went late into the night and got crazy at times. I highly recommend having an event at the Greate Bay Country Club.

We had our wedding at Greate Bay Country Club in July. The staff at Greate Bay was top notch. Everything was so beautiful and perfect. The food was amazing, the landscape was gorgeous, and the staff was so friendly and attentive. They truly made the best day of our lives, the best day ever! We had a party afterward in the bar and the staff just continued to smile, even when it went late into the night and got crazy at times. I highly recommend having an event at the Greate Bay Country Club.

Greate bay was the best choice we could have picked for our wedding. Out of all the venues it was the best package for the right price. Everything from the actual County Club to the whole staff was beyond amazing! Sharon and tammy were exceptionally wonderful to work with throughout the whole wedding planning process. They were very accommodating to everything we needed. We had our ceremony out by the gazebo with the most perfect view:) All of guest can't stop raving about how delish all the food was especially the Prime rib!! The ballroom was very spacious and had the most elegant chandelier ever. Hands down I would recommend this venue to all the newly engaged brides out there!!!

Having our wedding at Greate Bay was such a good decision! From the moment we booked our day to pulling away after the reception, each part was made so seamless by the staff. Sharon and Tammy really helped us take our wedding to where we wanted it to be. As a bride, I was expecting a lot more stress but, Greate Bay did it all. Sharon organized our entire event and Tammy decorated the venue perfectly. We brought some of our own decorations and they knew exactly what to do with them. They really worked with us to make sure we had everything we wanted. Also, our photos on the golf course turned out beautifully! I would 100% recommend Greate Bay for your wedding venue.

I can't say enough about how wonderful (or should I say Greate) Greate Bay was and how happy we are that we chose it as our venue for our August 2017 wedding! Sharon helped us along the way starting from our first look of the venue, answering my random questions (even when early in the morning I asked for the gazebo opening height for fabric sizing) quickly, planning, and of course the big day (she was present enough to check in to make sure things were going as planned and we were taken care of, but not overly up in our faces!) We chose the outside ceremony by the lake/gazebo and the area is beautifully landscaped allowing for a wonderful backdrop to all of our pictures. Food and service during the wedding was all top notch. The venue is the first part of planning your \"best day ever\" and Greate Bay made our dreams a reality!

Where do I begin? The staff at Greate Bay went above and beyond for us. They were so helpful and answered all my questions. During the reception, so many of our guests commented on how wonderful the staff/servers/bartenders were. Anytime I needed anything, they were right there for me. All of our guests said how amazing the food was! One guest said it was the best wedding food they ever had! The setup of the cocktail hour and reception rooms exceeded my expectations. Greate Bay helped make our wedding day PERFECT!!

Greate Bay Country Club was perfect for our big day. We had a beach ceremony and then returned to Greate Bay for the reception. Sharon and Tammy did a fantastic job of getting everything set up and making the transition easy and worry free. They worked with our musician to get him set up on the beach in close proximity to an outlet so they could run extension cords to their equipment. Sharon was always easy to get a hold of and was able to answer all questions in a timely fashion. Our photographer and florist really enjoyed working with such a great venue. Sharon and Tammy left us worry free and allowed us to sit back, relax, and enjoy our big day! The Country Club is beautiful and has a great flow to it for weddings. Two days prior to the wedding Greate Bay allowed a large group of the play a discounted round of golf. We were put in a shotgun start with the members who were more than accommodating and friendly. The day of the wedding the guys got ready in the locker room. The bartender in the restaurant and the members hanging out were all extremely friendly and made us feel at home. I would highly recommend Greate Bay to anyone getting married down in the area.

We had our wedding on 10/08/16 ... yes in the middle of Hurricane Matthew! The food... amazing! The Drinks... Amazing! The wait staff and the bartenders... amazing!! I can't begin to tell you how great of an experience we had a Greate Bay Country Club. Tammy is unbelievable and Colleen our main server was there with a drink every time we turned around. The GM, Ron is a people's person and makes you feel at home. I can't wait to make GBCC a yearly tradition on our anniversary. Just thinking about the day makes me want to happen over and over again!!!

We were so impressed with Greate Bay! We got married on May 28th, 2016 and it was a GREATE DAY! Sharon was accommodating since the beginning and tailored our wedding to what we wanted! She continued to be helpful up until the day before the wedding! On the day of, it was just beautiful!! The room just sparkled! The guest still rave about the food, it was just incredible! Everything, from the appetizers to the dinner to the dessert! The bartenders were phenomenal! They did not stiff our guests on the pour! All staff members were very attentive and helpful! We just cannot say enough!

I asked last minute if we could hold the rehearsal dinner at Greate Bay and Sharon was on it and set up a wonderful menu to accommodate my family and friends. The ballroom is very spacious and can hold a lot of people without feeling cramped or over crowded. The decor was beautiful and the bridal suite was perfect for me and my two bridesmaids. The wedding was June 3, 2016 and the flowers outside were beautiful. Highly recommended.

The goal of our wedding was to throw the best party ever (celebrating our union, of course). Greate Bay was by far the best decision we could have made for our ceremony and reception! Nearly every guest we spoke with after the wedding commented on how it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding! I highly suggest you use Greate Bay if you are considering the South Jersey area for your wedding!

Nearly every guest we spoke with after the wedding commented on how it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding! I cannot say enough great things about Greate Bay Country Club. We got married on April 25th 2015. From day number 1 Tammy was by our side and assisted us with anything we needed. After visiting many catering venues in the area, we picked Greate Bay because it was so beautiful, yet affordable. Everyone was so personable and helpfuw from the very start. Tammy and Megan helped us tremendously, as we were dealing with some severe food allergies and also other dietary restrictions. Tammy stayed very late to help us set up, the night before the event, and she even had someone else come in very early the day of, just to help us decorate more. So we just can't wait to have another happy occasion there!\r

My daughter decided to have her wedding close to the beach. After visiting numerous venues, we decided on Greate Bay because it offered an indoor option for her wedding ceremony (just in case her plans for an outdoor ceremony didn't work out). I cannot say enough about how accommodating the ENTIRE staff at the venue was. From working with us on the menu (we had many people with dietary restrictions), helping us set up decorations, and most importantly - keeping the mother-of-the-bride calm during the day of the wedding. Kelsey, Tammy and Maria are to be commended for their ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure. Not being from the area, we were planning the wedding long distance and were a little nervous about how it would all come together. Everything went so smoothly during my daughter's wedding this past weekend. All the guests commented on how wonderful the food was, how efficient the staff was, and how pretty the grounds were. In particular Nicole and Tammy make you feel confident that your preferences are heard and they deliver.Our guests raved about the quality of the food - majority of our guest chose Filet Mignon as theri entree and they were not disappointed with their delicious meal. They allowed me to wait and see about the weather till the day of and everything worked out .\r\rKelsey one of the planners was always willing to make answer via email and phone and did a great job setting up. They even added some extra decorations of theirs to make everyhting go together and look grand.\r\rTammy and the wait staff were amazing and made me feel like a princess on my special day and I never had to ask for a thing.\r\rThe best part was that I didn't have to worry about anything the day of. Tammy and Kelsey worked with the vendors and all I had to do was show up.\r\rThey also were willing to work with your budget. Getting married is never cheap, but if we needed to cut they would have worked with you to make it happen. \r\rI couldn't have asked for a better wedding and it would not have worked out without Greate Bay!

Kelsey and Tammy were both incredibly helpful, professional, and accommodating! Not only did our guests enjoy a beautiful sunset over the golf course, but also were able to overlook the wetlands and back bays of Ocean City. After visiting numerous wedding venues we came across Greate Bay Country Club, and when we visited for the first time we immediately knew it was our winner! From our first meeting to the post-wedding visit Greate Bay went above and beyond to insure that our wedding was everything we had imagined it to be. Our rehearsal was held the night prior in their downstairs dining room. The food and drinks were great, presentation was superb, and they even went as far as setting the room with our wedding colors! The day of our wedding Kelsey and Tammy were there from start to finish to make sure everything was going according to plan. Our ceremony was held outside by the lake, and our cocktail hour on the patio. Everything was decorated and set up beautifully. Our reception was incredible. They took our vision and made it a reality. The food was incredible... we are still receiving compliments on how great it was! People have noted that this was the best wedding they have ever been to from start to finish. I cannot say enough about this place and Kelsey and Tammy. Our rehearsal was held the night prior in their downstairs dining room. The food and drinks were great, presentation was superb, and they even went as far as setting the room with our wedding colors! The day of our wedding Kelsey and Tammy were there from start to finish to make sure everything was going according to plan. Our ceremony was held outside by the lake, and our cocktail hour on the patio. Everything was decorated and set up beautifully. Our reception was incredible. They took our vision and made it a reality. The food was incredible... we are still receiving compliments on how great it was! People have noted that this was the best wedding they have ever been to from start to finish. I cannot say enough about this place and Kelsey and Tammy. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to have the perfect dream wedding!

Greate Bay was fabulous!!!!! I would recommend anyone to have to their wedding there. I am super picky and I usually rate most places an 8/10….. this place is an 12/10!!!!!!! The food was fabulous, the staff was great, the wedding planners ( Tammy and Kelsey) were a delight to work with, and the atmosphere was elegant. I had a beach wedding and they set everything up so perfectly. Everything was so organized and on time. I can honestly say, I had the perfect wedding, all thanks to Greate Bay!!!!!

Their staff was very accommodating and helped to ensure that every detail was included in our special day. The \"Greate Room\" was recently redone and very upscale and elegant. After a year and a half of planning, they truly helped me to have my perfect day. They were handicapped accessible and the bridal suite provided a very comfortable place and atmosphere for us to relax and get ready before the actual wedding. We had an outside ceremony and the grounds are nicely landscaped and provide for a beautiful setting to have an outdoor ceremony.

We used Greate Bay Country Club for our wedding on May 17. They set up the ceremony on the beach and we had the reception back at the country club. Everything went like clockwork. Nicole was very helpful and took care of everything for us. The wedding site was beautiful and the food at reception was awesome! We would definitely recommend Greate Bay to anyone looking to get married in the Ocean City area!
