The Annunciation Banquet and Conference Center is centrally located in the Short North area with free parking for about 100 cars. The reception hall is 6,000 sq feet and offers plenty of room for dancing on our 40" x 50" oak dance floor. We have a beautifully landscaped courtyard that is perfect for cocktail receptions. There is also a built in bar (please note you may purchase and deliver your own alcoholic beverages - a huge cost savings). Please contact us to discover all the amenities our space has to offer.
Elizabeth Dresdow Vantangoli(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-06-2019 We had our wedding ceremony in the church. We had a different venue for the reception. I've wanted to get married at this church since I was little, and it was literally amazing. It was beautiful. They were very accommodating. It was a gorgeous service. Reviewed on 02-07-2019
Katie Rochte(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-09-2018 Wonderful and amazing day! Everyone at the Greek Orthodox was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make me understand exactly how the ceremony would go. I did not grow up in the Greek Orthodox church but my fiance did and the entire day was perfect from start to finish! Reviewed on 01-10-2018
Katie Huesman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-05-2018 I absolutely love the Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Not only is it stunning, but the priests at our wedding were wonderful and personable. We were so lucky to get married at this wonderful church. Reviewed on 04-06-2018
Emilee Bretz(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-06-2017 Perfect venue for our wedding reception of 240 people! Absolutely beautiful, with a dance floor, courtyard and bar all built in. Communication with everyone was so easy and they were very accommodating with us leaving decor in a room and picking it up the next day. Perfect location for any downtown reception. Nikki Klemp(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-09-2015 We had our ceremony and reception at the Annunciation. It was perfect! Our guests walked straight from the ceremony, outside to cocktail hour in the courtyard, and into the reception hall. Good choice of caterers to choose from... and can bring your own alcohol which is a big money saver. I would recommend hiring a cheap day-of wedding coordinator if you don’t want to deal with day-of details yourself because there isn’t anyone the church provides to help with that. The room transformed beautifully! Reviewed on 13-10-2015
Brianna Simmons(wedding party)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-05-2015 This is a beautiful venue for a wedding! My friend had hers here and it was breathtaking. If I could get married again it would be at this Cathedral! Reviewed on 26-08-2015
Lisa Brinker(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-11-2013 After looking for the perfect wedding reception venue, I was referred to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral. I fell in love with the venue immediately. What I liked about it was the location, size, and the blank canvas I had to work with. They were very laid back and allowed us to store our decorations and beverages days before the wedding and pick up the leftover items the following day. It was very nice to be able to select a caterer from their preferred list and bring our own beverages. The location is perfect if you are looking for a venue where guests can walk to their hotel at the end of the evening. I would recommend this venue to anyone! Reviewed on 20-11-2013
Amber Pastorek(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-05-2012 What a perfect location! Right in the heart of the short north. There were hotels in walking distance and so much for our out of town guests to do downtown. We got married in May and had cocktail hour on the outside patio. Such a beautiful space. We had a bar and appetizers out there as well. Then we moved the party inside. We had a huge dance floor and enough space to fit our 220 guests. It was perfect to bring in our own caterer and drinks to save on the cost as well. Reviewed on 01-06-2012
Sadie Palmisano(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-04-2011 We were extremely pleased with our experience with the Greek Orthodox Church. It's a beautiful building in downtown Columbus, and the banquet hall spruces up really nicely. The only restriction they put on you is that you have to use one of their caterers (it's the same church where the Greek Festival is held every year, so they have a large kitchen that they don't want a random caterer to damage). Other than that, we were able to select our own cake company, florist, DJ, AND bring our own alcohol, which saved us thousands of dollars! Also, we were able to use the facility from 5pm until 1pm, which wasn't exactly intended but as I said, they were very flexible and relaxed. I would highly recommend this venue to other brides. I'm sure people say this a lot, but people told us it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. We couldn't have been happier with how it turned out! Reviewed on 17-05-2011
