We are SO happy that we went with a Trademark venue for our wedding day. Hands down the best decision we made throughout the entire wedding planning process. More specifically, we went with Green Gables Estate for our December 2023 wedding. All of the Trademark venues come with a venue coordinator that helps with the wedding planning process. We were assigned Sage as our venue coordinator and she was AMAZING. I highly recommend requesting Sage. We had several meetings with Sage throughout the planning process and she was so easy to connect with. She saved us from so much stress throughout the planning process. On the wedding day, she was there from start to finish to make sure everything went perfectly. She made sure that we stayed on track with our timeline and she coordinated day-of plans/timeline with all of our other vendors. She even helped me bustle my dress on the wedding day because my mom went MIA. Sage is a literal angel! I feel like I need a separate review just for Sage because she was that incredible. She truly went above and beyond from the planning stages to rehearsal day to the big wedding day and everything in between! The venue itself was absolutely beautiful! I had so many guests tell me that it was the best and most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. The Trademark catering staff and bartenders were amazing and the food was so delicious! They even had a team catering to the wedding party throughout the day to make sure we were getting drinks/food. A huge bonus was that we were able to provide our own alcohol, which helped save on overall costs. Overall, we are SO happy we chose Green Gables for our special day. If you are considering any of the Trademark Venues, definitely go with them!

The venue is absolutely magical with a twinkle light tree branch to get married under, a fun blue truck, and a sweet schoolhouse with the best bridal suite area. However, what really made this venue sparkle was our coordinator, Jeselle! )The venue comes with a wedding coordinator, and we lucked out with Jeselle!). She was super organized, such positive energy, and so helpful throughout the whole process - especially the day of. So grateful to her and Green Gables for helping to make our day the most special, relaxing, and fun!

My husband and I had the pleasure of getting married at Green Gables last weekend. When we first went to see the location, it was so stunningly perfect that we immediately called to book it and canceled our next day of venue tours. I had been looking for something that had a garden feel to it, and Green Gables is definitely that. Everything about it is gorgeous: the grounds with the fountain and tree swing, the bridal salon in the old school house, the groom's speakeasy, and the large reception tent area.Our coordinator, Sage, was absolutely amazing on the day of our wedding. Our guests and bridal party have even commented on how well organized she kept everything. We were all incredibly impressed by her ability to ensure that everything went smoothly. The decorations were exactly the way I had requested, and Sage made sure that all the items that we had brought were safely packed up at the end of the night.The venue offers a large array of decor that you can choose from, as well as the option to bring in some of your own. The catered food was delicious, and the milk and cookies station was a huge hit. There is plenty of parking (although a bit of an uphill walk from most of them), and 6 bathrooms on site, which is more than most venues have. :)Green Gables gave us our dream wedding, and for that we are very grateful.

You should definitely use Green Gables for your wedding venue. My wife and I had a practically perfect wedding, and we owe so much of it to Green Gables and Trademark.Most importantly, the wedding planning process was simply not that stressful because of Green Gables and the Trademark team. We had heard stories from some of our recently-married friends about sleepless nights and endless anxiety in the weeks leading up to the day. Although we obviously worked hard, we never had any doubt that the day would go well (and we are anxious people!). Green Gables and the Trademark team are professional, experienced, and have everything down to a science. Green Gables does several weddings a week during peak season; they are prepared to handle your wedding. You are in good hands with them, and that is invaluable when planning such an important event.Moreover, the venue speaks for itself. While this kind of thing comes down to taste, we received so much positive feedback about how beautiful the venue was. Because there are so many trees and other great features inherent to the venue, you do not need to put a lot of decor in to make it look great. The layout is convenient, the tent is a perfect reception setting, and the ceremony spot is very romantic.They also take care of a lot for you. We did not need to find a caterer, equipment rental company, security service, etc., because Green Gables takes care of all that. Further, we decided not to have a wedding planner, and while your mileage may vary on that, we think that was the correct call. Because Green Gables has so many weddings, they have a network of vendors they use frequently that are great. If you stick with those recommendations, that gives you a great starting point and you can likely take care of booking vendors and the rest on your own. The vendors we picked also had so much familiarity with the venue that we did not need to worry about coordinating the venue-vendor relationship; they pretty much all knew where to go and what to do.There are some things to consider when picking a venue like this, though--most notably, your decor options are often limited to what they have in their catalogue. If you are the type of person who wants control over every decision for your wedding, this may feel constricting. If, however, you feel overwhelmed at the thought of making all the decisions that come with a wedding, it is helpful (and you know that at minimum the decor will match the venue).Finally, I just want to note that the team was very helpful. Marissa was our day-of coordinator and she made sure we did not lift a finger on our wedding day. We also peppered them with several dozen questions throughout the entire process year+ long process, and they were always helpful and kind in responding.In short, if you are looking for a beautiful venue that will reliably and comfortably give you a stellar wedding, Green Gables is an excellent choice.

Honestly, I could not have pictured a better place to have my wedding then here at Green Gables. It was literally my dream wedding brought to life. From having our wedding ceremony under the lighted trees to the wedding reception inside the tent. It was everything I have ever wanted in one location. Working with Jeselle was simply amazing. She was so sweet, funny, professional, and we made sure that everything I wanted was played out. She made the whole planning and even the day of run so smoothly. She communicated so well with all my vendors to make sure it was less stressful for me. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator. Nothing in my wedding went wrong and thanks to her, she made sure all my guest, bridal party, husband and I was ok and having a good time. The food was delicious and I kept getting compliments about how beautiful the wedding venue was. Every area was the perfect photo op for our guest. Our favorite part of the venue was the bridal and groom suites, they were both so beautiful decorated and thought out that it was such a highlight of our big day. After viewing so many other venues and also attending other weddings, I knew Green Gables was the perfect fit for what we wanted. Communication is a big deal for me and it was given from everyone apart of Trademark Venues. They were very transparent about every detail, from what we ordered, to the billing information, to the wedding rehearsal, and even the big day. Thank you so much Trademark and Jeselle for everything you have done for us. I highly recommend planning your wedding here at Green Gables and definitely choose Jeselle to be your wedding coordinator, you wont be disappointed.

I got married here at green gables in April 2023 and it was a dream come true. The venue is beautiful, the decor was amazing, the food is incredible, and we had a blast with the DJ they requested to us. My guests still can’t stop talking about how beautiful it was and how delicious the food was. The only reason it isn’t 5 stars is because of the communication. I was told half way through my planning process that my coordinator was changed because she left the company 2 weeks before my decor meeting. So because of that change that wasn’t told to me until last minute, I had to start over. My notes and vision wasn’t passed on to my new coordinator, Gina when they swear they gave it to her which added a lot of extra stress. Although she was very organized and tried her best but at the end of the night she was trying to rush us out as fast as she can just like the rest of the staff. There was some kind staff members who helped me though. So after they changed my coordinator they didn’t give her any of the notes and it was obvious. I had to repeat myself a few times to get my vision finally put together. Although it added a lot of stress to my planning process, it all ended up fine. (Thank god!) so besides everything, the communication needs a lot of work. You won’t meet face to face with your coordinator until towards the end. That was really hard. They also put most of the pressure on the bride and completely ignore the groom. As soon as the reception ended, they were in my face asking me a million questions that was discussed in the notes and previous meetings like where the extra stuff goes, who is taking what to where, and pressuring us to leave asap. Also my guest book frame was thrown in the back of my car from the staff and the corner is broken. It’s like as soon as the lights come on and the event is done, they don’t care anymore. Getting married here was magical and I don’t regret it but I wish the staff was more kinder to their clients.

What really made our experience great was Marissa. She was so calm and attentive. Poised and intelligent. We could seriously go on. Green gables was a dream! It was more perfect than we could have imagined. From the moment we said yes to this location we felt so much love and support from the staff of trademark venues. Everything was laid out for us from day one and we knew exactly what to expect during the planning process which took so much stress away. The venue was beautiful, with so many trees, and natural florals we didn’t need to add much more than some simple arrangements. The food was amazingly delicious and our guests especially loved the garlic mashed potatoes. This day would not have been possible without the most perfect coordinator! Marissa was thoughtful, attentive and made all our ideas come to life no matter how crazy they were. We are truly thankful for her and all the staff that worked with her to make our day perfect. Our friends and family are still talking about this as the best wedding they have ever been to, and I will recommend this venue to everyone I know getting married!

We loved Green Gables Estate so much. It was the perfect venue for 265 guests and if you really like magical, rustic vibes! They can even go higher to 300. The decorations, staff, and our coordinator were just perfect ! We really liked our coordinator Sage. She was absolutely great to work with and she followed our timeline so well. Without her, our day would not have been so perfect. The food was also so delicious and we really liked family style. The bartenders also did an excellent job keeping the line moving and getting everyone drinks (sometimes a little heavy on the pour ;) ). Thank you to everyone at Trademark Venues and all of the staff at Green Gables!!

We loved Green Gables Estate so much. It was the perfect venue for 265 guests and if you really like magical, rustic vibes! They can even go higher to 300. Green Gables was absolutely amazing. We were one of the 2020 weddings that had to be postponed. They were so gracious and flexible by allowing us to postpone it without any stress or difficulty. Our guests raved about how beautiful our venue was and they loved the private little areas they could explore. The staff is AMAZING. Emily was our coordinator and she was so helpful and kind! She was super responsive and took care of everything on the day of - I honestly did not even feel stressed on my wedding day because she was so on point with coordinating the vendors and making sure my items were set up properly. I highly recommend Green Gables, and frankly the Trademark Venues in general, because you really can't beat what you get for the cost (comparative to the other venues we saw in San Diego County.) We didn't have to worry about renting plates, chairs, tables, or hiring caterers for the food - and that made our stress level much lower than what it would have been elsewhere. I highly recommend going for a tour at this venue or any of the other 4 they have - as they are all so lovely!

Green Gables was absolutely amazing. We were one of the 2020 weddings that had to be postponed. They were so gracious and flexible by allowing us to postpone it without any stress or difficulty. Our guests raved about how beautiful our venue was and they loved the private little areas they could explore. The staff is AMAZING. Emily was our coordinator and she was so helpful and kind! The property is well maintained and even though it's in a busy area, the trees and flowers lining the venue make it feel super secluded and intimate. There are a number of places to have the ceremony. We got married in the gazebo and it was beautiful. The cocktail hour in the patio-like area between the schoolhouse and the groom's speakeasy was a hit. My husband and I just got married at Green Gables this past July and I am beyond happy that we chose this venue. First of all the venue is GORGEOUS. I received compliment after compliment about how beautiful the site itself was. The flowers, the trees, the lights, the Bridal Parlor, the Speakeasy, the tent. Our wedding party was so excited to spend the hours leading up to the ceremony in such an incredible setting. The staff was also amazing! Our wedding coordinator, Shauna, was outstanding and I could not be happier. She was on top of every detail. Throughout the planning process, when I discovered a hiccup on my end, she was a breeze to work with, always had a solution, and was cool, calm, collected and such a sweetheart. I cannot say enough good things about her. She helped the day-of run smoothly as well. We had a Bridal Assistant who was awesome as well, attending to our needs, pre-wedding.I love that Green Gables provides so many resources and the staff sets everything up and takes everything down. That was a big concern of mine, as I didn't want my family and friends having to worry about these details on our Wedding Day and they were able to enjoy the day with us.I also received compliments from our outside vendors that GG was easy to work with and they thoroughly enjoyed working with this venue.If we had the choice to go back in the past and change something about our venue, I would pick Green Gables, 100% without a doubt, over and over.

From the tour 19 months before our actual date of the wedding to our wedding day the staff was amazing. Hannah our coordinator was great from day one. The venue was Breath taking and very private. The food was delicious (butternut squash raviolis are BOMB) booking this venue you really get to enjoy your planning and your day. We didn’t have to worry about set up or clean up which was a huge plus. We got to dance the night away and just enjoy every little thing thanks to the staff. Highly recommend green gables!

The venue is gorgeous. I was just very disappointed with the logistics and the “ wedding Cordinator” she was disoriented and disorganized. They changed my wedding Cordinator mid way to my wedding with out letting me know of the changes. I felt like I did most of the figuring out what and who. Amber did not look through her notes for my wedding she forgot my lawn games she didn’t put out my bird cage for my cards. I’m just so dissatisfied. The amount of money you pay for this venue you expect a certain level of professionalism. At one point we couldn’t even find any of the workers nor Amber. I honestly felt like she was on another level like she wasn’t all there. I’m not sure. The actual venue is gorgeous but the way I was handled was not something I would recommend going through as a bride. They promise you and tell you how things will go through out your wedding day but idk if it’s a lie or if the batch of employees I got that day did not want to do their job. All my guests were confused on where to go half of them didn’t sign my guest book even though I was promised that there would be people going around making sure everyone knew where to go. Sigh now it’s over and I wish I would have complained in the first place when Amber didn’t reach out to me when she was given my wedding to help. Just really ask questions and be on top of everything yourself because otherwise you’ll be let down if you end up choosing this venue.

We didn’t spend much on flowers because we really didn’t have to, the venue is so beautiful all on its own. Food is SO good, Tim from their culinary team was super easy to coordinate with via email and our tasting was fun. Amber was our wedding planner and she was great! Kept our timeline moving and there really wasn’t any delays. If I could do it all over again, I would pick Green Gables every time!

It is difficult to find a location that offers it all – from 10.5 private and uninterrupted hours with your friends and family, space to get ready, a beautiful ceremony location, full event set-up, delicious food and a grand reception area that will WOW your guests. It is as if you’ve entered your own little fairytale while on property. It will take your breath away. The Green Gables staff – I don’t even have the words. Hannah Tortosa, our wedding coordinator was beyond amazing. She became a sister to me through the process. She and the rest of the staff bent over backwards to ensure we had the day that we always dreamed of. Every detail was planned and executed with pure precision. All I can say is every single person at green gables makes you feel so important and so special from your first meeting till your wedding day! You have someone working with you and planning and they do all the hard work. Hannah was my event corrdinator and she answered any question at any time of the day. The week of she was extra on top of it and the day of she had a staff of 15 decorating, checking in on me, etc. the venue created my dream wedding even better than I could have dreamt! I want to redo it all over because of how special they made it for us! I definitely recommend green gables to anyone looking in SoCal! I can’t get over how beautiful everything was! All I can say is every single person at green gables makes you feel so important and so special from your first meeting till your wedding day! You have someone working with you and planning and they do all the hard work. Hannah was my event corrdinator and she answered any question at any time of the day. The week of she was extra on top of it and the day of she had a staff of 15 decorating, checking in on me, etc. the venue created my dream wedding even better than I could have dreamt! I want to redo it all over because of how special they made it for us! I definitely recommend green gables to anyone looking in SoCal! I can’t get over how beautiful everything was! Every little detail was thought out and perfect!

My wife and I got married at Green Gables on 2/8/19 and it was everything we could've hoped for and more. Reasons for 5 stars:- Our wedding coordinator Hannah was the best. She answered every single question along the way and made our wedding day 100% anxiety free. I remember showing up the day of feeling lost because of how much was going on, but Hannah and the rest of the Green Gables staff took care of EVERYTHING and made sure the day was perfect.- The grounds are absolutely beautiful with a vintage charm. Literally anytime during the year this place is gorgeous. - The catering menu is delicious and they have VEGAN options that are actually good. - The reception area is tented and has heat/AC so no matter what time of year it is you and your guests will be comfortable.- The bridal suite and grooms \"speakeasy\" were just redone and are stunning. They look amazing in pictures too.- The bar is BYOB, which a lot of other venues we checked out were not. This saved us tons of money. Green Gables also staffs the bar so you don't have to worry about it.

We loved having our wedding at Green Gables!! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with beautiful oak trees and flower beds surrounding the old schoolhouse. The reception area is also great - it's a tented reception area, but it is a permanent tent with heaters, so it feels more like a regular building. The coordination team took so much stress out of the whole planning process, and working with Melissa (our personal coordinator) was so easy! She made sure we were kept up to date with all the moving parts of the planning process, and she helped keep us on track by setting up coordination meetings, timelines, etc. The food was delicious as well, Tim (the chef) did an amazing job! We had so many guests come up to us and tell us how beautiful the venue was and how much fun they had. My husband and I also had a blast at our wedding - everything flowed so smoothly, the day-of coordination team did such an amazing job!!!

They were professional, had great communication skills and were super knowledgeable and helpful. If you're looking for a \"all-in-one\" venue, this is definitely the place for you.I also wanted to give a special shout out to Hannah, our coordinator from Green Gables. She was PHENOMENAL. Green Gables is a magical venue and they can do it all. Melissa U. was an extraordinary coordinator and worked hard to make our vision come true. She made the wedding day move smoothly and we couldn't have done it without her. Even when there were bumps on the road, Green Gables worked with us to reach a compromise. It is important to keep in mind that while Green Gables is an inclusive venue, they do up charge for certain items. However, they try to be open about this disclosure when you book them. Their catering team is great, we were able to have tacos and they were super tasty! If you want to know the job will be done well, you can trust Green Gables with your wedding/event. Just be clear at the beginning with your expectations and clarify any questions and concerns at the beginning and you will be set!

I knew I wanted to get married at Green Gables and we booked our wedding day the day we toured. We were assigned Hannah as our coordinator and she made *All* our dreams come true. Our Disney/Pun Rock/Beauty and the Beast themed wedding wouldn’t have been made possible without the dream team at Green Gables. Hannah made sure to reply to even the most menial of questions I had leading up to wedding day.The day of wedding was incredibly hot. But the bridal suite was gorgeous and air conditioned! The newly remodeled grooms room and bridal suite are breathtaking. We wanted to highlight some special people. Luke- one of the staff members who placed “hidden mickeys” throughout the venue. Edgar- for attentiveness and assistance in set up and ensuring our guests were dazzled by the ambience of our dreams. Peter- (who we call “Peet-ah” like Peter Pan) for helping my grandfather (who’s on oxygen) and not leaving his side making sure that my papa could enjoy the occasion to the fullest. Supplying him power, water, and tissues as needed. Tim- for making a culinary masterpiece everyone is still raving about. The venue alone is enchanting and beautiful but it’s the team behind the venue that really made our day unique, memorable and truly our own.

Absolutely amazing venue!! We had our wedding here last weekend and it was a dream. The whole planning process was so easy, the staff are there for you throughout to answer any questions. Melissa Untalan was our coordinator and she was so helpful and fabulous. She was there the whole day with us and everything went so smoothly. The food was great and everyone loved the ice cream bar. It is a beautiful venue with a great staffing behind it. I would recommend this venue to everyone, it is perfection!

This venue is gorgeous! I loved getting married at Green Gables. Melissa Untalan, our coordinator, was fantastic! She was attentive, patient and so easy to work with! The day went perfectly without any major hiccups all thanks to her. The only small negative thing I have about this venue is I didn’t talk to the same person once till about 4 months out (engagement was 1.5 years). From initial contact, to tour, to contract, to each meeting I was talking to someone new. Even with this, they were very organized because each person knew all the details I had picked already. I would definitely recommend to have your wedding here, and STRONGLY recommend you request Melissa as your coordinator!

This venue is STUNNING. Melissa was absolutely wonderful as our day-of coordinator - she made everything very seamless! I was so grateful for her on our big day. :) The staff were all wonderful as well, from the ladies & gentlemen restocking our Donut Wall, to the fun bartenders. I would definitely recommend being in communication with your coordinator for nearly every \"big\" decision you make - we were given a \"Bride Guide\" that ended up being outdated and we chose a DJ that wasn't approved. It was a really disheartening experience as we had fallen in love with the DJ we chose, but we couldn't use him. Melissa was very apologetic and advised that GG is aware and working on an updated Bride Guide. Make sure the Bride Guide you get is updated with all vendor info!

Green Gables was probably the 3rd place I had visited during our search for a venue and as soon as I got there, I knew it was the one. I loved that it was all inclusive and I didnt have to worry about anything. The only concern we had throughout the process was that we had maybe 3 different coordinators that we worked with, and sometimes there were miscommunications where one coordinator would tell us one thing, but when the next one took over they would tell us that it couldn’t be done. But we appreciated that they bent over backwards to honor what the previous coordinator promised us (pro tip: save your emails!). However, our last coordinator who was there on the day of our wedding, Hannah, was flat out AMAZING. She made sure that everything was absolutely perfect. The entire day, neither me or my husband had to lift a finger. We wanted a drink? She ran to the bar to get it. We got hungry during cocktail hour? She followed us around with a tray of appetizers while we took pictures. Totally and completely amazing. Hannah and her staff were all incredible, and that’s what made our day so special. Green Gables is a breathtaking venue and I will refer them to anyone getting married.

Everyone at this venue is courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and just great human beings. They genuinely care about your wedding and making it the most perfect day of your life. One of the most important aspects for me was that they do everything they say they're going to do....and more! I had my wedding at the Green Gable's wedding estate in San Marcos in May 2017. I can't begin to tell you how amazing the wedding was. The food, service, staff.. Just the entire experience was amazing. A special shout out to Ramon, he is the manager and was so attentive to our every need. The planning process was very helpful and informative. While planning a wedding is never easy, I was able to call and access a team of planners any day I had a question. This was really great because I wasn't stuck with just one planner and waiting for them to answer emails or anything like that. As for the food, it was better than the tasting that we had and all my guests are still raving about the menu. A Roasta de Tuscany & cordon bleu chicken, strawberry goat cheese salad, tomato bisque with mini grilled cheese shooters, fresh fruit petite skewers asparagus wrapped in prosciutto with sea salt and cream cheese, chocolate Smore's shooters served in shot glasses, mini button mushroom caps stuffed with three cheeses and crab omg ! We did all kinds of different \"stations\" so people could get up and move around and it wasn't so formal like a banquet dinner. That made it really fun and easy for all my friends and family to get what they wanted because I have some vegetarians and some vegans in my group. I would say if you were thinking about getting married at this estate it's obviously gorgeous but also very professional I would highly recommend it!!!

My wedding at Green Gables was flawless! My coordinator was Kay and she was so helpful at creating the best flow of my wedding! I had been set on having my Hawaii theme since I am a native. I was so excited that the team was able to pull off my particular food, decor, and set up JUST THE WAY I WANTED. This venue definitely went above and beyond to make my wedding DIFFERENT. I had a bridal assistant that literally did everything for me! She brought me mimosas and appetizers and was so sweet the whole time. The event manager Ramon really made my parents feel at home which was so important to me since they traveled so far to see my special day. I had such a great journey planning my wedding with Green Gables. Thank you to everyone who made my day so great!

My wedding at Green Gables was flawless! My coordinator was Kay and she was so helpful at creating the best flow of my wedding! I had been set on having my Hawaii theme since I am a native. The processs with Green Gables was a disaster. Not worth the money at all. Very unorganized. There will be promises made that aren't kept. Poor communication between staff, meaning you get a new person each time you meet and that person will have no idea of what's going on. It's like starting over every time. Literally if I went on about how terrible my experience was with the process, I would probably cry all one again because it is just so much. I gave 2 stars because not until a week prior to, did they realized how much they had put me through did they finally make an effort. I would have put zero if that didn't happen. Even though they made an effort to change things a week prior to my wedding, it still wasn't a dream come true. Plus the food was just terrible and COLD, which was disappointing because the tasting was a great experience. I tell my husband, can we just have a redo? He laughs at me. Best advice I could give Green Gables is, it's not just about the wedding day, it's also the process of planning the wedding that matters. A year of stress and let downs isn't something any bride wants to go through.

This wedding venue was so perfect for what we wanted from size, style, price, etc. The staff is incredible and you get to work with a lot of them, but they all get to know your wedding file well. It also helped to have different ideas flowing at each meeting. The food was delicious! They even helped me surprise my groom with a late-night hot dog cart! Seriously, though. They will do anything to make sure your wedding day is a dream from bringing you sangria when you need it on the actual day to letting me share a Google Doc of my seating chart with them. They do all the setup, you just drop everything off at the rehearsal, and they did everything perfectly. It made for a very relaxing wedding weekend. If you get married here, you are so blessed and you will just remember your day as one of the best of your life.

One month in and our guests and family are still commenting on how perfect Green Gables Estates was. We live in LA and it is hard to find a nice, outdoors (rustic) wedding venue that was a reasonable and we happened on Green Gables. We came down on a Sunday and signed the contract within 24 hours because it was perfect from the beginning. We had about 3 sit down meetings and each one progressed as quickly or slowly as we needed and felt comfortable with. They ask what you are looking for, offer suggestions and are totally willing to throw in some extra decorations to make you happy. We worked with Daniel the entire time and he was AWESOME (cheers to you, Daniel). All of the stressful wedding planning rumors are true, from guest list to seating charts to bridesmaids dresses , but the easiest thing to do was probably planning the actual wedding ceremony and reception, because Daniel kept saying \"oh great idea\" or \"yep, we can do that, don't even worry about it\". We had some vintage lanterns mixed with old books on our tables and he included some gorgeous lounging couches around the property as well (also the old blue truck is perfect for reception pictures). The day of really is quite chaotic mostly because of nerves and excitement, but he had a great sense of what I wanted or needed and even what I didn't know I wanted or needed (like when we got to the venue to get ready and he made sure to lay out a ton of the appetizers just for us so we made sure we all ate beforehand). Seriously everyone there is totally on it to get you down the aisle, keep the parents happy and make sure the guests are well taken care of. I know I read several reviews prior to our wedding and not only do they all hold up, but it was even better than I expected. So, there you have it. I could go on and on about what a wonderful experience the whole day was, but I really need to give props to the coordinators for making it actually happen. Thank you!!

I found Green Gables online and fell in love with it when I came out to San Diego for a family visit. We had a tragedy during the planning process in the loss of my mother-in-law 3 months prior to the wedding. Green Gables was very sympathetic and accommodating in making necessary changes. They also recommended an excellent DJ who they knew would be sympathetic to our circumstances. Even though we missed her terribly at our wedding, everyone who was working with us, helped us honor her and made sure we enjoyed our day to the fullest. THANK YOU Green Gables!

We had our wedding here this past weekend. Hands down the very best ever! The team here at Green Gables is the absolute best. Our wedding day went on without a hitch! The venue is beautiful!!! Work with Elham and Christian they are by far the best of the green gables staff!! Elham has a beautiful eye for style and is so sweet!! I can't get over how awesome Christian has been through this process! He would email me back within 24 hours or less and answered all my questions. He also helped us to get our DJ approved and get our wedding insurance on file. Our wedding went off very smooth and Elham did everything she could to make sure that our ceremony was outside. 30 min before the ceremony it was poring rain and she made sure that the chairs got covered with tarps and the harpist was under an umbrella. The rain stopped and we got to have our ceremony outside!! She also gave me an umbrella when it started to rain again while we were waiting to go inside the tent. I would recommend this venue to other brides because of its beauty and those two staff members! The hard part about this venue is that you never know who you are going to work with. I was lucky enough to have found christian early on for all my questions and I requested to work with Elham on my wedding day.

this wedding was absolutely beautiful and it captured gorgeously on all of our photos. all my guests were amazed by how beautiful the venue was. however, the planning process was extremely stressful and frustrating for many reasons:\r1. at time of signing the contract, they make many empty promises and make you believe that they will do \"anything\" you want for your wedding. however, that is sadly not true. the cake person said she couldnt do the design i wanted (even though it was very simple so one of the planners had to contact her in order to get what I wanted), they didnt have all the decor options they told me they had at the beginning (they had said they had medium sized cylinder vases but in fact they only had tiny ones or really huge ones that are used for outdoor gardens), the linens are extra charge, even though they made it sound as if I could choose any linens included in our price, etc.\r2. every single staff told me different things when it comes to payment method and time of payment for any additional guests. someone said they would bill me with the difference after the wedding. another person said i needed to bring cash. another person said I just had to give them a credit card, etc etc until I had to speak with the manager. this is very unprofessional. all staff should be aware of their policy. however, every single staff member told me a different story, which made it extremely confusing and frustrating for me.\r3. food was very dry. cake was not so good. during the time of signing the contract, they tell you they have an amazing cake baker, who used to work for celebrities- however, at time of cake tasting, their cakes tasted awful as if they had been sitting on the freezer for months and thawed it just for the tasting. you can get better cakes at Costco or Ralph's.\roverall, the venue is beautiful but working with the team was frustrating. thankfully, my bridesmaids were there to help out a lot.

We were looking for a rustic, vintage-style private wedding venue to have our outdoor wedding in the San Diego area and with one just visit to Green Gables wedding estate we realized we had found just that and so much more. Green Gables is beautiful; affordable (we got married on a Thursday) and a fun, intimate venue which allows your guests to wander through pretty gardens, an old school house, lit with twinkling lights, fountains, and an awesome huge tent for the reception with colour-coordinated lighting, vintage chandeliers, and a dance floor… \rWe liked that the wedding package included our cake, pastries, coffee bar, easy menu choices, and a wide variety of props and furniture to get the vintage look that you are after without having to go and buy old suitcases yourself. The package also came with day-of wedding assistant and wedding coordinator. We actually had the coordinator run our wedding rehearsal and everything went beautifully. The wedding assistant was extremely helpful helping out with dress, veil, etc... on the day for getting around between picture locations. The wedding coordinator maintained our schedule perfectly and went the extra mile ensuring that us (bride and groom) had everything we needed so that we could enjoy spending time with our guests.\r

We were looking for a rustic, vintage-style private wedding venue to have our outdoor wedding in the San Diego area and with one just visit to Green Gables wedding estate we realized we had found just that and so much more. Green Gables Wedding Estate gave me the wedding of my dreams! In fact, it was beyond anything I ever could have imagined. My fiance and I were on a budget but the service and quality we received from the Green Gables staff was unparallelled! They helped us stay within our financial means and still get EVERYTHING we wanted. \rThey were in contact with us every step of the way and helped make the whole process of planning a wedding easy and stress free. We were assigned a coordinator that made sure every detail was taken care of and that there was not so much as a petal out of place on our big day. In fact, my coordinator went out of her way to make sure we got everything we wanted. On the day of the wedding I forgot to bring in the babies breath filler for some mason jar decor we had. When she asked me if I had brought the flowers I said no and that we could just go on ahead without them. She left the room, but when she came back about 30 minutes later she told me she had \"drummed up\" some babies breath! In that moment I knew we had chosen the best venue. \rI was also assigned a phenomenal bridal assistant the day of. She was fantastic. She brought me tea, answered questions when I started getting overwhelmed, helped pose props for pictures, carried my bouquet when I was scrambling and even held up my train for pictures after the ceremony so that it wouldn't get dirty. \r\rAll in all I would say that Green Gables is a venue that deserves a score of 11 out of 10. Everything was incredible and it made our wedding day so so special. I never felt worried about anything. They even had attendants for my husband and groomsmen. They kept everything flowing smoothly.\rI will never be able to rightly express my gratitude for the Green Gables staff for giving us a wedding beyond our wildest dreams. \rI will definitely be sending everyone I know their way!!!!!

Do not have your wedding here! It looks lovely but they have no idea how to run a wedding. It is over priced with no bar included, they promise you a perfect day and do not follow through. There was no direction, no microphone for the ceremony or cellist. The wedding party and family didn't even get a drink of water for over an hour after the ceremony, no appetizers or drinks that had been promised. In fact, we never saw one waiter with a tray of appetizers, even though we upgraded to the highest level. That was 25 people who didn't partake. They had water coolers in the bridal suite but no cups. The bathroom is too far away from the reception tent, up a hill. There were not enough place settings at two different tables, chairs had to be brought in and dishes etc. The cake/dessert was not served as promised but set on a table not even near the coffee. I had to go in search of the dessert and move the table closer to the coffee. I wish we could have a do over on my daughter's wedding. one more thing, the photo booth didn't fit into the tent, so it was set up outside, could be nice but everyone left the reception to go out there and the tent was nearly empty. No party there. Poor Planing to sum it up. It was like the first wedding they ever held.

I got married this past March at Green Gables, and my guests are still talking about how it was such a unique wedding and one of the best they've ever been to! The venue had just the rustic, vintage feel I was going for, and my wedding was everything that I wanted it to be. Not only that, but they are constantly renovating, so the venue was even more beautiful when I had my wedding than it was when I booked. I had super-high expectations for my wedding, and the team at Green Gables made me feel at ease every step of the way.\r \rFrom the minute I toured the venue, the staff and the coordinators were so attentive and made me feel so comfortable. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Throughout the whole process, the people that work there were so responsive to every question and concern I had. Nicest people ever.\r \rSince the wedding was in March, it was pretty cold once the sun went down, which I was concerned about, but the tent was heated, so it was still comfortable in the reception area. I had so much fun, and I've gotten only positive feedback from my guests from the venue to the food to the DJ. Everything was so worth it, and I couldn't have made a better decision about where to have my wedding. Best day of my life.

I only wish I would've seen an honest review before we had our wedding at Green Gables. It was only after we booked our wedding & 2 months before our actual day before we found out the truth, that Green Gables requires their \"preferred vendors\" to leave positive reviews in order to be a preferred vendor on their list!! So, I'm only hoping you read this before you book. \r\rAlthough the venue is pretty, it's not worth it.. there's so much to discuss, but unfortunately this review limits me. \r\r1. Although this venue claims to be \"all inclusive\" (which initially attracted us to it) the only thing this includes is basic white napkins, plastic cups, and the venue itself. If you want to use any glassware at your wedding it will cost you $3/cup. This means, if you want to serve any non-alcoholic beverages (yes this means water) you will pay $3/pp. Then, if you plan on doing a champagne toast as well as serve wine & beer, you will be paying an additional $9/pp. They charge $3/glass per person. As you can see, this can get pricey. They also require you to pay for security personnel to be on the venue for the wedding as well as $800 to use their bar, you bring the alcohol yourself (I'm assuming this is because they don't have a liquor license). Also, although the cake is supposedly \"included\

We loved having our wedding here. It was soo beautiful. It was also very easy and the food, while not gourmet to a foodie perhaps, was very good. Our only minor complaint was that even after we checked all of our items in to them with detailed explanations of how to set things up the next day, they still didn't set everything up properly or have them ready to use (for example, the ring bearer box and the photo projector) when we needed them. They did get right on it when we requested something, though.

The staff were all very nice and accommodating through the whole planning process. My ceremony was at a church so I didn't even get to go to the reception site on the day of the wedding until the party already started, but they set everything up so perfectly I didn't have to worry about a thing! Our big day was so beautiful and perfect, I can't even imagine if we had it anywhere else.

Green Gables is a one-stop wedding vendor. The only thing not included in your cost is a DJ, a florist and a photographer. \r\rWe loved how they made everything so easy. Several coordinators work with you to make sure you have the best experience possible. It was not stressed about ANYTHING the whole time I planned my wedding.\r\rThe grounds are gorgeous and have a secret-garden feel to them. There are trees, white rose bushes, statues and twinkle lights all over the place. We were very happy with everything.

My Husband and I were searching for a venue that only did 1 wedding a day. We came across Green Gables wedding estate. This venue impressed us from the start! It's very charming and has a vintage feel. The staff was amazing and they worked with us to create a custom wedding package. we were very impressed with the dedicated attention and the quick response we received from the team.\rThe food was fabulous and I am still getting comments on how fantastic the food was presented. I requested specific Italian food and Chief Joe was happy to put together a custom menu.\rThe Wedding coordinators are a professional team and are very experienced. This was a huge cost savings since we didn't need to hire a separate wedding coordinator. \rThe grounds are beautiful and filled with white garden roses and lush plants. I was also able to save on my flowers budget since the venue didn't require much additional flowers.\rI added their design center as part of my custom package and I used their center pieces and upgraded linens so this saved additional costs.\rThis place is a perfect wedding venue...they do the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the same location. Our wedding was a success and extremely lovely.

As a fan of the Anne of Green Gables series, this venue peaked my interest. Green Gables was the first venue my now husband and I visited and we reserved it right there and then. This weekend some dear friends got married here. I am a floral designer so I was asked to do flowers. I had never been here before. I have to say I was very impressed by the property and the staff. As a guest I thought the property was so quaint and beautiful...full of charm! It made for a very magical event. As a vendor I couldn't have been more impressed with the staff. Everything ran so smooth and organized. It was a pleasure both attending and working at this venue. I will definitly recommend Green Gables to future brides that want a more charming country location instead of a big hotel or resort.

When my husband and I were looking for a wedding venue, we looked at a lot of places that were nice, but just didn't feel quite right. And then we stumbled on to Green Gables. We actually went to their sister site (also in San Marcos) called Twin Oaks first, and once we found out they didn't have our date, Sean, the GM referred us to Green Gables. We weren't sure what to expect because the venue is in somewhat of an odd location, but it is up on a hill, and once you make your way up the walkway onto the grounds, it's like you are transported to a different time and place. \r\rGreen Gables had what all of the other venues we visited was lacking...charm. My husband and I immediately fell in love with history and beauty all around. Green Gables is a historical site that features a schoolhouse that was built there in the 1800s. A portion of the interior of the schoolhouse has been transformed into a gorgeous victorian-style bridal parlor for getting ready the day of. This area made for some amazing photos!\r\rFor the ceremony, my girls and I made our way down the steps of the schoolhouse, down the stone path to the gazebo, where the pastor, my groom, and his groomsmen were waiting. After the ceremony, we took photos on the wooden swing hanging from a beautiful, old tree next to the schoolhouse. The pictures turned out fantastic! The outdoor area is so naturally beautiful that we didn't have to bother with decorations at all, which was nice.\r\rAnd finally our cocktail hour and reception were held in the grand tented pavilion with chiffon fabric ceilings, giant white paper lanterns hanging above the large, wooden dance floor, and LED lights shining in our color on the ceiling fabric. I ended up renting the crystal candle trees from the venue for our centerpieces which saved me a ton of time and money, and they looked fantastic!\r\rGreen Gables guided us every step of the way in choosing all of the details, and they even provided a bridal assistant the day of our wedding to stay close by and make sure I had everything I needed, which mainly consisted of her getting me drinks from the bar. ;)\r\rI cannot tell you how many people told me afterward that our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to! My husband and I could not have been happier with how our wedding turned out. Green Gables exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend them.

When my husband and I were looking for a wedding venue, we looked at a lot of places that were nice, but just didn't feel quite right. And then we stumbled on to Green Gables. We actually went to their sister site (also in San Marcos) called Twin Oaks first, and once we found out they didn't have our date, Sean, the GM referred us to Green Gables. We weren't sure what to expect because the venue is in somewhat of an odd location, but it is up on a hill, and once you make your way up the walkway onto the grounds, it's like you are transported to a different time and place. \r\rGreen Gables had what all of the other venues we visited was lacking...charm. My husband and I immediately fell in love with history and beauty all around. Green Gables is a historical site that features a schoolhouse that was built there in the 1800s. A portion of the interior of the schoolhouse has been transformed into a gorgeous victorian-style bridal parlor for getting ready the day of. This area made for some amazing photos!\r\rFor the ceremony, my girls and I made our way down the steps of the schoolhouse, down the stone path to the gazebo, where the pastor, my groom, and his groomsmen were waiting. After the ceremony, we took photos on the wooden swing hanging from a beautiful, old tree next to the schoolhouse. The pictures turned out fantastic! We are the photography team Weddings by Willy and Meghan and we really enjoyed working with the staff at Green Gables. They even had a person there to assist us. The ground are breathtaking and elegant! I would highly recommend this venue to any couple.

We attended a friend's wedding here in August and WOW this venue is absolutely beautiful! When you pull into the parking lot of the venue you don't even know what a surprise you're in for but as soon as you walk up the walkway and enter the grounds you're welcomed into the the sweetest and most charming venue you've ever seen. \r\rThe school house provides a romantic and unique background and the large tree and gazebo the couple was married under was stunning. I was impressed with how clean and well maintained the grounds were. You can tell they put a lot of time into keeping everything looking so nice and they pay attention to all the details to make sure everything is perfect.\r\rI loved how everything from the ceremony to the cocktail hour and reception was all on the same grounds. Its really so nice for guests to be able to stay in one spot and enjoy themselves all night.\r\rWe had a great time at Green Gables I would definitely recommend them for your wedding!

I just got married on August 12, 2012 at this venue in San Marcos. It is absolutley beautiful! I was actually abroad singing on a cruise ship for the first 6 months of my engagement, and the wedding planners at Green Gables were wonderful about emailing with me to coordinate long distance. Once I was home, they were even friendlier in person! They truly make your wedding day feel one-of-a-kind and they help you stay organized. We used their catering and it was delicious! We also used Becky, their on-staff baker, and we had red velvet and CHAI flavored wedding cake - AMAZING! The cost is per person, and it's a tad pricey, but compared to most vendors in SoCal - and considering I couldn't DIY almost anything as I was on a cruise ship - it was well worth it. I would've given them 5-stars but apparently on the day-of there were a couple decor things set up differently than I had agreed upon, but my mom & bridesmaids fixed them before I even noticed!

My first impression driving up to green gables made me a little nervous. The location (right off the freeway) and other business surroundings (little rough) were not completely enchanting. Even though a little rough, it wasn't enough to completely shy me away. Once you enter the grounds you really forget where you are! The staff have really done a wonderful job at restoring and keeping the grounds looking beautiful. Since booking (January) and having my wedding (July) many trees had been planted and grown in quite a bit. Which is why it was so easy to forget where we were. With all the tress and rose bushes it really has a romantic feel.\r The gazebo and artificial grass ( photographs fantastically) where the ceremony was held, wasn't my absolute favorite but I felt there where many more factors on the plus side to not derail my decision to have my wedding there. The bridal suite is gorgeous, decorated in shades of ivory and creams-with decor of a Victorian era. Stunning. Great photo opt! Every woman who walked through said how amazing it was. The tent where the ceremony was held also was beautiful. The grounds have twinkle lights that are EVERYWHERE once the sun goes down. With it being a one wedding a day, you really get to enjoy the entire place--\r\rThe service at GGE was excellent. They are very prompt to return your phone call and to answer any questions. We choose to go with their catering company and baker, both of which were amazing. I am a DIY type of gal so it was great that they allow you to bring in any of your own things for center pieces and props.\r\rOverall they really made our wedding experience very easy and stress free. I wouldn't have changed anything going through my experience with GGE. It definitely deserves a walk through!

The staff at Greeb Gables are amazing! I had my wedding this past month at Green Gables and it turned out near perfect because of them. I had problems with my flowers on the day of and they handled the entire problem. They offer sort of an onsite wedding planner who I loved. Anytime I had a question or concern I was able to call them. The tent at night is beautiful! I don't like the drive up to the place, but once you get inside it is beautifully whimsical. They have great landscping and the tent is so romantic at night! I would definitely recommend this place.

I feel in love with this place by looking at the stunning pictures on their website. Don't let pictures trick you. This garden is in the middle of San Marcos right off a busy intersection. During our visit the traffic was pretty loud and included numerous air brakes from semis. This garden is beautiful, but it is not serene and unless you turn the music up very loud you will definitely hear the traffic during your ceremony. If you are use to traffic then this place will be fine, but I am not so it was definitely crossed off my list.

Formerly the Old Richland Schoolhouse, Green Gables wedding estate rescued my wedding. I was dropped three months away from my date by the ORS and Green Gables honored our contract, added our lost deposit and perfected the ever neglected grounds of the schoolhouse. They were extremely compassionate to us considering the stress we had gone through and gave us a wonderful offer we couldn't refuse. Everyone with this business was professional, kind and a pleasure to work with. It was wonderful having the ceremony and recpetion at the same location and that I could get ready with my girls on the grounds. I got good luck rain on my wedding day and the staff at Green Gables made it memorable and more beautiful than I could ever imagine. I loved having my wedding at Green Gables Wedding Estate.
