If your wedding theme has anything to do with Spanish Romance then Hacienda del Sol is your venue. The resort grounds are beautiful especially the inner and outer courtyards. The staff at Hacienda del Sol were also very nice and attentive on our wedding day. If anyone is thinking about booking their wedding in October keep in mind of their big event called Zinfandel and Blues so you do not have any scheduling conflicts. My husband and I are happy we chose Hacienda del Sol for our wedding. We cannot wait to visit again to celebrate our anniversary next year.

An immaculate and amazing hotel with equally as immaculate and amazing staff, chefs, pastry chefs, bartenders, coordinators (special thanks to Karen and Alicia for the help!) and bellhops. We had our wedding here and besides the venue being heartstoppingly awe inspiring, the A+ effort of all staff made not just our wedding an amazing experiences, but also made sure all our guests needs were met. Also our rooms and views were astounding. Whatever you wish to do, whether a wedding, a romantic retreat or just to disconnect from city life, Hacienda Del Sol has got to be on your list.

Beautiful venue with excellent staff and AMAZING food. Almost all of our guests were coming from out of town so we wanted a venue with a beautiful Tucson desert aesthetic and excellent food. Those were our two most important criteria for a venue and Hacienda delivered on both. We had multiple guests tell us this was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. One guest with multiple dietary restrictions told us this was the first wedding they'd been to where they had multiple fantastic options. It's also super nice that the venue handles the food and the cake for you (oh yeah, they have an amazing pastry chef who does your cake too). The inner courtyard is one of the nicest places you could have your wedding dinner in the entire city, no doubt. Small for group of more than 70 but very cozy and beautiful if you have a small group. Would recommend this place to anyone.

I reached out to get a tour and an estimate for the wedding size I will have but it seems this location lacks communication. I was excited to view this location and get a date set but it appears none of their staff is willing to help. Greatly disappointed we didn’t even have a chance to get our foot in the door here.

My daughter was looking for a wedding venue that would truly represent Tucson. She wanted a desert garden type setting and Hacienda del Sol was perfect. The wedding in the courtyard was beautiful and unique. I truly do not think it would have been near as perfect anywhere else. We love that Hacienda del Sol is local and actually packed with history. The local aspect plays out in that we were made to feel important and our needs cared for start to finish. I don't know if we would have gotten the same service at a larger chain resort. Amanda was great in getting the booking secured - answered her phone personally, every time I called. Then Greta the catering manager took it from there and really was so attentive. Spent an amazing amount of time with us even though I know this wedding season was crazy busy. From the pastry chef to the valets at the front drive; we were treated so well. The food was fantastic, the drinks were yummy and the bartenders were great. The bridal suite that come with the package is unbelievably beautiful. Just so happy we chose Hacienda del Sol. We will have fantastic memories for ever.

We were blessed enough to have our wedding here, and I cannot thank the catering and service team at Hacienda enough, including the events coordinator Greta. They were all accommodating, included us in every step of the preparations, provided a fantastically picturesque setting, and brilliant food for our special day. We stayed in the historic suite which was perfect for bridal prep on the morning of, and we are beyond grateful to have had our special wedding day memories here at this venue. Hacienda del Sol was a dream wedding venue, I cannot recommend it enough. Working with Amanda and Greta was such a great experience during the planning process and their entire team on the day was incredible. We were a covid couple and Amanda worked with us to reschedule and make sure we were able to still celebrate the way we wanted to. We don't live in Tucson but the whole team was super helpful in scheduling tastings and walk throughs when it was convenient for us. The team was also super helpful in making sure we had enough rooms for all our out of town guests. Communication throughout the entire process was great. The venue is absolutely beautiful - your guests will be blown away and your pictures will turn out amazing. We are an LGBTQ couple and we were treated with the utmost respect and dignity throughout the entire weekend. Highly, highly recommend having your wedding at HDS.

The staff is incredible and went above and beyond to make our stay and our big day SO special! Amanda Reynolds, wedding coordinator, was fantastic!! She is so kind, professional, attentive, detail-oriented and FUNNY!! Such a joy to work with her, she brought all of our ideas to life and made sure every detail was executed. We were able to have our wedding in the inner and outer courtyards and finish the night in CasaLuna. All parts of the property are breathtaking. Our guests could not stop raving about the quality of service, the FOOD!!! and beautiful views & rooms. If you’re considering Hacienda as a venue, stop your search, because this is the perfect place to tie the knot. Again, thank you to Amanda and Ana (such a sweet girl and so attentive) for being with us on our big day!

Hacienda del sols property and staff were outstanding. I got so many compliments on the beautiful venue as well as the staff being so attentive to all our guests needs. In regards to planning, their venue coordinator Amanda is outstanding! I can’t say enough about how easy she made the whole process. She got back to emails within minutes and if she’s didn’t know the answer to my questions, she would find it and in a timely matter. Day of the wedding went perfect! I’d do it all over again if I could!

From our first contact with Hacienda Del Sol, Amanda and Greta were fabulous to work with. They immediately responded to any questions or concerns and were always on top of every detail as we planned our wedding. The day of our wedding, which was all planned in the courtyard, a giant summer monsoon blew in and we had torrential rain an hour before the ceremony. Amanda, Greta and the staff went above and beyond to move everything inside in a matter of minutes. As we had planned the ceremony to be outside, we hadn’t coordinated for indoor decorations. The team magically transformed the space for our ceremony and it couldn’t have been lovelier. For attention to detail, and the most beautiful setting, we highly recommend HDS for any event. Excellence all around!

My husband and I just got married at Hacienda Del Sol & I can honestly say from the very beginning that the entire process was so amazing! Amanda the wedding event coordinator is so awesome! She was always available to ask questions or for any clarifications needed. The day of she made sure I was not stressed (as little as possible for a bride haha) and took care of any of my concerns. The entire staff really goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. All of our guests kept raving about how much fun they had, how beautiful the venue was & how amazing the food & staff was. We would 100% recommend this venue for your future wedding! The suites are beautiful and the entire venue is incredibly clean and well kept.

We hosted our small, 18 guest, COVID era wedding at the Hacienda Del Sol. We could not have asked for a more perfect venue, staff and food. This place really is 4-star! From the moment we toured the inner courtyard, we knew this was the place for us. The historic charm and beautiful gardens are picture perfect and a stunning background for our wedding. Thanks to the FANTASTIC Tucson weather, we were able to host our ceremony and dinner outside. Amanda, the event coordinator, was an absolute treat to work with. She was even able to recommend vendors that would align with our \"low-key\" wedding. She brought up things we would have never thought of and was so kind! Everything about the resort is stunning and the food is fantastic. Seriously, the best food and drinks we have ever had for a wedding. Even the cake blew us away! We cannot wait to go back for our anniversary to share another meal at the resort's Grill Restaurant and stay in one of the cozy, charming suites. We had an absolute perfect day! The staff is incredible and we are so happy we were able to start our next chapter at the Hacienda Del Sol. If you are looking for a colorful, historic and charming wedding without a corporate feel of some other resorts in town, this is the place.

Everything about the resort is stunning and the food is fantastic. Seriously, the best food and drinks we have ever had for a wedding. Even the cake blew us away! We cannot wait to go back for our anniversary to share another meal at the resort's Grill Restaurant and stay in one of the cozy, charming suites. We had an absolute perfect day! The staff is incredible and we are so happy we were able to start our next chapter at the Hacienda Del Sol. If you are looking for a colorful, historic and charming wedding without a corporate feel of some other resorts in town, this is the place.

My small COVID-era wedding was a dream at this beautiful, stunning venue! Can't say enough good things about Hacienda del Sol. I planned our wedding last minute and long-distance, in just about six weeks, and was thrilled that it was available. The wedding events coordinator Amanda was so nice and helpful and you can tell she really knows what she is doing, even suggested a wedding timeline and stepped in to hit \"play\" on my walking-down-the-aisle music. We held the wedding on a Sunday, and due to COVID, were able to have a scaled-down guest list with just 17 people, which greatly reduced the price versus the average here. Amanda was also very helpful with letting me request socially-distanced tables for each household in the banquet room and getting rid of one table after one cancellation was no problem. The room we stayed in, a Hacienda room, blew any expectations I had out of the water and was an amazing place to get ready in. The food was delicious, and so was the cake!

But as I read further, the venue makes (as in not an option) you hire a wedding event planner. Therefore, they don't have one and make you hire one. Being the organized, perfectionist that I am, I was very taken back by this request. Not only are wedding event planners very overpriced, I know I can do everything that they can with ease. While I understand some people need them, I do not and I do not appreciate a venue telling me I need one in order to have a wedding at their venue.

Seriously the best. I grew up in Tucson but I live in Denver, CO currently.. but my then fiance (now husband) decided tucson was best for our wedding budget and only half the family would have to travel. Being in a different state we weren't sure how planning would work out... but we were blown away by how easy the HDS team made it all not only with us but my mom who was our \"home turf\" planner. When we all had ideas the HDS team was so good about accommodating and working with us! It was so easy and fairly low stress for us from far away to pull off such an amazing wedding. All of the staff I interacted with were kind and considerate, and on board to help us when we asked for help. They made our day all the better because we never worried about where things were, if everything was set up in time, or how it would all flow. We were able to enjoy our day with friends and family to the fullest.The ceremony in the inner courtyard was natural and so well kept we didn't need to decorate because we thought it was maintained so well and picturesque. Casa Luna was perfect for our reception, our wedding was the perfect size for the room, it felt intimate while still having enough room for everyone. I wanted to be unconventional and have a small cake at each guest table instead of one large cake and the fact that they thought it was a great idea and excited for it was SO FUN! We gave the pastry team liberty to decorate each cake uniquely and they did a fantastic job. I wasn't the type of girl who imagined her wedding as a kid, but now when I look back on our day it was perfect in every way and I wouldn't have changed a thing. I look forward to the next time I can visit Hacienda with my husband! Highest praise for Joelle, Crystal, and the whole Hacienda Del Sol family!!

We just got married last weekend 10.20.2018 at HDS. I’m still absolutely in bliss mode, writing this on my honeymoon. We are so grateful to Joelle and the rest of the team at HDS for making our weekend beautiful. We came to HDS spontaneously when we were visiting Tucson last year. We had made half a dozen tour appointments elsewhere and we were about to head to the airport disappointed but when we were at lunch with a friend, he told us to check out this venue. Still in a sour mood, we drove to the venue sans appointment and gave ourselves a little tour. We didn’t speak for a solid five minutes as we took in the scene around us. Then, in a very special moment, we looked at each other and simply nodded, we had found our venue. Since that moment, everything followed suit and was an absolute dream. We stayed in the amazing Casita Grande where my bridal party got ready and we hosted the Sunday brunch for about 40 guests. The staff made sure every moment we were set up for perfection from the ceremony set up to the incredible food at the reception. The dance floor seemed to magically grow in size to accommodate 115 people because there wasn’t a moment of relaxation at the reception. The flow from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception to after party in Casa Luna was seamless - and dang that bartender knows what he’s doing (Get the pomegranate margarita, aka the blushing bride, you won’t regret it).Thank you so much Hacienda Del Sol for helping make this amazing evening possible. For being attentive to all my emails and calls leading up to the event and making sure I had what I needed the entire evening. We can’t imagine doing this anywhere else.

The venue and staff at Hacienda del Sol made our wedding phenomenal! The historic venue is beautiful. The setup for the ceremony out front was perfect. The setup for dinner and reception in the inner courtyard was stunning. And the setup for the later party in Casa Luna was fun and lively. The grounds of Hacienda are pristine and it is one of the most classically southwest feeling places in Tucson. The view of the mountains and the unbelievable sunset showed our out of town guests why we love Tucson. Joelle and her team thought of every detail and made sure everything was perfect. Her expertise and planning removed so much potential stress leading up to the big day. The staff, not only for the wedding but all of the staff at Hacienda were fantastic. Everyone was so attentive, friendly and accommodating. The bartenders were fun and efficient. It’s evident that superb customer service is a priority at Hacienda. The food and drink were excellent, from the cocktail hour hors-d'oeuvres, to the specialty drinks, to the dinner, to the cake and desserts, to the late-night snacks. Many of our guests also stayed at Hacienda and thought the accommodations were top notch. We couldn’t be happier that we chose Hacienda del Sol! Thanks for making our day perfect and magical!!

Hacienda del Sol (HdS) was the perfect venue for our elegant, Southwestern-inspired wedding in April 2018. Having grown up in Tucson, I wanted to give all our guests (many who had never been to AZ) the perfect introduction to the Sonoran Desert and taste of the Old Pueblo, and HdS hit it out of the park. We looked at 12 venues and ultimately HdS had everything we wanted plus it was actually located in Tucson proper so people could explore. Joelle was extremely accommodating and worked to make sure we had absolutely everything we wanted on our wedding day--including special iced matcha (my husband Adam's favorite), passed lemon drop shots to kick off the after party, and NY Momofuku Milk Bar truffles. All the spaces across the property are gorgeous and allow tons of flexibility. Our cocktail reception started in the outer courtyard; moved to the inner courtyard for dinner, toasts, and dancing; and ended in the Hacienda room for an amazing after party complete with s'mores and Sonoran dogs. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, and we can't wait to come back for anniversaries for years to come!

We could not have picked a more beautiful and memorable venue then Hacienda Del Sol for our September 2018 wedding. Finding a venue was very stressful because we live out of state however as soon as stepped foot on the resort grounds we knew it was the perfect place for our big day. She is very attentive to detail, professional, and organized. Although we had a wedding planner Joelle was always available and several steps ahead of us with advice and recommendations. She didn't hesitate to give a helping hand to my bridesmaids with their dresses and making sure everyone looked perfect on our big day. She even helped search for my ring when I misplaced it the morning of, no job was too big or small for JoelleNot only did Joelle exceed our expectations, but so did the rest of the staff. Everyone that we came in contact with had a smile and was so accommodating. From the valet staff, to checking in, to the catering staff, they were all amazing! I was in close contact with Summer and Frances leading up to the wedding. They were both always available and so helpful with answering any questions we had. Everyone raved about how good the food was and how beautiful everything came out including the cake.The staff worked so hard to make sure our vision was executed perfectly, we can't thank them enough. So many of our friends and family members have mentioned how much they enjoyed their stay and that they hope to stay at the resort in the future. The resort grounds are even more beautiful in person, you will love the rustic Southwestern feel of the venue. While the older rooms are a little outdated the updated rooms are beautiful!Rather if you're considering holding your wedding at the resort or a smaller event, you can't go wrong with Hacienda Del Sol.

The Hacienda Del Sol made my wedding day the most perfect day of my life. The staff is beyond accommodating, the food and wine were delicious, and the resort grounds are just a dream. My husband and I are from Minnesota and hosted our immediate family members at our destination wedding in Tucson. We hosted our small ceremony in the gorgeous inner courtyard and had a dinner in the Joesler Room for 11 total people. The attention to detail and wonderful service the staff provided me and my family was outstanding – from grounds crew, to check-in, to restaurant staff – everyone was just a joy to work with. Whether you are planning a large or a small wedding, I highly recommend hosting your big day at the Hacienda Del Sol! THANK YOU Hacienda Del Sol for making my wedding so amazing.

Gorgeous and Magical! Our rehearsal dinner and wedding were located at Hacienda del Sol. During the rehearsal dinner, everything was laid out perfectly and tasted amazing. We recently got married at Hacienda Del Sol and we had the best wedding!! It's such a beautiful and unique hotel, we couldn't have asked for a better setting. The staff was super helpful during our planning process and once we got to the hotel for our wedding, they went above and beyond. They offered to steam all of the robes that I got for my Bridesmaids and they placed everyone's welcome bags in their rooms. All of our guests loved staying at the hotel, we couldn't have asked for a better wedding weekend!

We recently got married at Hacienda Del Sol and we had the best wedding!! It's such a beautiful and unique hotel, we couldn't have asked for a better setting. The staff was super helpful during our planning process and once we got to the hotel for our wedding, they went above and beyond. Hacienda absolutely blew our expectations out of the water! Our wedding and reception was amazing thanks to all the staff and Joelle. If you are looking to have a uniquely “Tucson” wedding this is the place to do it. The food was amazing and the ability to transition to different spaces on the property really made the whole event that more special. I am forever grateful for everyone that made our dream day happen! Not to mention Hacienda makes the BEST backdrop for all your wedding photos.

Hacienda Del Sol is the most beautiful venue for a wedding. My Husband and I met at University of Arizona (but live in Chicago) and we knew from the beginning that we wanted to get married in Tucson where we met. After touring many places in Tucson, we knew Hacienda was our winner because of the beautiful property and cozy feel. We got married in the outer courtyard, had dinner in the inner courtyard and moved dancing inside (so we could keep the party going until midnight). Trying to plan a out-of-state wedding was very difficult but Joelle the sales manager and day of coordinator made everything easy. She truly knows what she is doing!!!!! I have VERY high expectations when it comes to promptness via email and although slow at times she always got back to me and provided me with all the information I needed. After seeing the care she puts into your wedding day, you realize why she may take a few days to respond....she is busy making other people's days special and being very attentive to them. She is not able to sit at a computer all day when she has an event going on. Overall, the customer service from all the staff was beyond my expectations. Everyone made you feel very welcome and went above and beyond to make sure you had everything you needed. I would recommend this place over and over again. We had around 120 out of state guests stay at the resort (I think all but 2 rooms were rented to our wedding party) and everyone raved about the place. The new rooms were spectacular!!! The older rooms were old and outdated but each room had so much character. All my family enjoyed the quirkiness of each room.Lastly, the best part about Hacienda is that you can get by with minimal decor because the property and outdoor grounds are so pretty.

Hacienda del Sol is THE PLACE for a magical wedding experience. Our daughter was recently married there. It was perfect for her smallish (50) wedding, but they can certainly accommodate many more. Joelle really worked hard to make everything come together and added many special touches. The staff was remarkable and the setting/food unsurpassed. We received many positive comments on the food as well as the signature drinks we had chosen. The ceremony was later in the day in the courtyard and the reception in Casa Feliz. We had hoped to have the reception in the courtyard as well, but it was still a bit too warm outside. Joelle transformed Casa Feliz into a very romantic yet rustic venue with her use of many candles and other decorations. We had a little glitch with the room reservations but Joelle fixed it quickly and to everyone’s satisfaction. My daughter has described her wedding day as “magical” and “the happiest day of her life.” They intend to spend future anniversaries at Hacienda del Sol.

We could not have been happier with our choice to have our wedding at Hacienda del Sol! Our reception and entire wedding weekend there was perfection!! Cathleen was our event planner and she was great! She was so accommodating and worked very hard to make everything wonderful! When we had our tasting, the chef personally presented the food and a description of the ingredients. Cathleen and the chef worked together to find a way to give everything a southwestern flair for us, and everything was delicious! A number of our guests told us that the food at our wedding was the best they had ever had! We had dinner in the inner courtyard, which was lovely! The flowers were blooming, the grass was green, and every table was set beautifully! We had after-dinner dancing in Casa Feliz, which was such a cozy space for us and our guests! The bar staff was friendly and professional and made prickly pear margaritas that everyone loved! All of the staff at Hacienda were so welcoming - from the bellmen to guest services to the restaurant waiters to the owners - everyone congratulated us and made us feel at home! Cathleen also arranged for us to have one of the brand new amazing suites for our stay! It was incredible and we enjoyed every second in our desert oasis! We will always cherish the memories at Hacienda and look forward to visiting often!

We got married at the Hacienda Del Sol in October 2015. We had a small guest list of 50 people, very close family and friends, and we wanted to create a wedding memory that was beautiful, fun, playful and full of love. We both really wanted to be in the moment and just enjoy our special day without worry- and we did. I am so happy we got married at the Hacienda Del Sol. At the time, I just moved to Tucson and really wanted my friends and family who were traveling to AZ for the first time to really see the beauty the desert has to offer. One of the spectacular qualities about the Hacienda is the beautiful historic property, lush gardens and the views. We had our ceremony in the outer courtyard by the fountain, overlooking the Catalinas. The sit down dinner was served in the Casa Feliz and the reception was in the inner courtyard, so we used all the spaces. It created a nice moving, flowing evening. I can tell you hands down the food at Hacienda is amazing. Many guests told us it was the best meal they ever had at a wedding! We choose the Ribeye, Eggplant Rollatini and Roast chicken as entree selections for our guests. Plus they do a very good job accommodating kids and offered a kid menu. Everything was perfect with the setup, flower arrangements, decorations. We did use a day of wedding planner which was extremely helpful. Lastly, the staff working the wedding were all extremely friendly and helpful. There were a few things that are making me not give the Hacienda 5 stars. One point is their hotel reservation system was not clear or organized (for us or our block of guests, somehow they ran out of rooms and we could not accomodate many of our gusts on property. I was in the bridal suite getting ready (the day of the wedding) and somebody from the reservation office came into my room with another luggage set saying somebody else had reserved the room!?! I was like, \"But I am the bride!!!\" Anyway, they fixed it- but it did cause a bit of stress when I was trying to get ready for the wedding. The Hacienda just did a major construction project there there are now more accommodations for events and hotel rooms. The construction was going on when we got married last year - but that did not take away from the beauty of the property. Also, there was some mishap with the cake, We ordered a two tiered wedding cake from the Hacienda's pastry chef. We ordered one tier with berry filling the other tier with lemon filling. Somehow they were both berry. Not a big deal, but not what we ordered. The cake was delicious nonetheless. When we said something the next day, it was pretty clear we were not getting an apology or a discount. Like I said, both of us are not sticklers for perfection, so we just let it go.All in all, I think the Hacienda is an amazing place to get married- and your wedding photos will be absolutely stunning. We celebrated our one year anniversary at the Hacienda a few days ago and had a very special, romantic dinner in their beautiful dining room. The Hacienda will always be special to us.

When my husband and I got engaged, we went all over town looking at places and they were all just \"ok.\" When we first walked into Hacienda Del Sol my initial reaction was \"this is it.\" It had the southwest charm we were looking for without being cheesy. It was under remodel construction at the time, but we could vision what it was going to be. Because of the construction, Cathleen (our coordinator) had a back up plan if it didn't get completed in time. We are so happy we went with Hacienda Del Sol! The construction was finished before our wedding and the place is absolutely beautiful! Cathleen was fabulous at walking us through everything and answering all my questions leading up to the big day.The day of couldn't have been more perfect. Everyone at Hacienda was so helpful, friendly and genuinely happy to be working there. Tom (the owner) even drove me in a golf cart from the hotel room to the ceremony so I didn't have to walk in my heals. I even saw Tom at the reception filling water glasses and making sure everything was going well. The food was great and everyone kept raving about the appetizers. The new Catalina suite was perfect for getting ready, as it has 2 bathrooms so there were multiple places for my friends and I to get ready. Not to mention the new rooms are stunning. If you are looking for a touch of the southwest, this is the place!!

My wife and I married at magical Hacienda Del Sol and the event was perfect. Rachel, our wedding/event coordinator arranged simply everything for us - the highest quality for our special day, including flowers, decor, reception, superb wedding cake, gorgeous photography, amazing food/beverage service for our guests, complete with an officiant and DJ. With special attention to detail, it was more than we imagined and the day was simply perfect and a stress-free occasion, as it should be to join our lives forever. The venue could not have been more perfect, blessed with a splendid Arizona sunset easily seen from the reception area.

Rachel, our wedding/event coordinator arranged simply everything for us - the highest quality for our special day, including flowers, decor, reception, superb wedding cake, gorgeous photography, amazing food/beverage service for our guests, complete with an officiant and DJ. With special attention to detail, it was more than we imagined and the day was simply perfect and a stress-free occasion, as it should be to join our lives forever. The venue could not have been more perfect, blessed with a splendid Arizona sunset easily seen from the reception area.

I had my wedding here in June 2015, and I was consistently impressed with the venue (it's GORGEOUS) as well as the staff. From the time that we booked it through the post-wedding follow-up, we had nothing but positive experiences.\r\rThe event coordinator, Rachel, is the epitome of professional. Saying she is competent doesn't even begin to do her justice; she is above and beyond highly competent, from keeping track of all the many moving parts of a wedding to miraculously appearing with bitters and soda to soothe my stomach when I got pre-wedding jitters and ginger ale was too sweet for me to handle. She is easy to reach by both phone and email, and responds quickly; when she is out of the office, even for a couple days, she puts notices on her email and voicemail so you're aware. Beyond Rachel, the hotel staff in general is great. Our wedding guests stayed here, and had nothing but good things to say about the restaurant, the rooms, and the staff.\r\rHacienda del Sol requires that food and beverage for the reception be through them, which is no problem at all given their excellent food. Multiple guests commented on how delicious the food was, and we were given lots of options for wine as well.\r\rI commend the servers as well for being extra attentive to my husband and me. As often happens at wedding receptions, we spent so much time talking to our guests that we didn't really get to eat. A server not only boxed and saved our meals, but had them delivered to our room so we could eat later that night. We definitely appreciated that when it was after midnight and we were ravenous!\r\rThe beauty of the venue speaks for itself, with lovely grounds, historic architecture, and stunning views. In addition, Rachel and the Hacienda del Sol staff go out of their way to make you feel special, and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience than what they helped provide.

I had my wedding reception here last year and it was the most amazing venue. Myself, my husband to be at the time and many of our guests checked in a few days before the wedding and spent the weekend there which was perfect. My in laws rented the casita grande which is basically a two bedroom house with two bathrooms and a full kitchen as well as a dining room and living room. It really worked out well being able to stock the fridge and have a place for people to meet up and hang out for the weekend. The girls also got ready there and it had plenty of room for everyone! The hotel does include a small bridal ready room as well at no cost but we used it as a place to stage flowers, etc out of the heat until the reception started. They also gave us a free night in a suite for the night of the wedding and put a bottle of champagne in our room! As far as the actual reception went... Rachel was a wonderful coordinator. I didn't have a day of coordinator but she was very hands on the day of assisting with everything from set up to even serving plates herself during dinner! If you have your wedding on site the package does include a separate day of coordinator as well I believe. We had the cocktail hour and dinner in the courtyards but they included the ballroom as a backup in case of weather at no charge. Their courtyard is absolutely stunning and I didn't have to decorate anything... Seriously. Just simple centerpieces are all that is necessary. I loved the white lights strung over the courtyard! The whole property is really gorgeous and made for the most amazing wedding pictures. I still look back on my photo album with the most fond memories. If I had to narrow down the reasons for why I loved this venue it would be 1) the food was amazing 2) the views and grounds are stunning and 3) I love the local Tucson feel and how historical it is. The only negatives I saw are: the rooms are a little pricey and you have to rent out all the courtyard rooms (which are small) in order to have the reception go past 10pm. The rooms also have a two night minimum stay on the weekends. Another is the alcohol prices are not discounted at all... You pay the same price per beverage or bottle as you do in the restaurant which added up very quickly. Alcohol was our biggest expense; I think they should give case discounts or something. Lastly, I was recently up there and they are doing a lot of construction to add new guest rooms. I love the small historic feel and wish they weren't doing that! Overall, I'd recommend Hacienda del Sol as a wedding/reception venue to anyone without hesitation though!

Great venue! When we first started planning to have our wedding here things were a little unorganized initially, this may have been due to a shift in roles at the time. In the end everything came together very well. We were extremely happy about our decision to have our wedding here and everything worked out very well. We selected Hacienda because frankly, it is one of the most beautiful places in Tucson. If you are looking for an outdoor setting with ambiance and beauty, this is your place! Our disappointment lies in the on-site wedding coordinator. There were several instances of missed details, promises made and not followed through with, and in the end overcharging of the bill. It is disappointing because it leaves a final bad pill of the whole experience when the wedding and reception themselves were amazing. My recommendation if you choose this location for your wedding, hire your own staff (I had one wedding day coordinator, but now know I needed someone to watch over the bar too)so you can ensure everything is on the up and up and taken care of properly.

So I rated them higher than I thought I would... I thought about giving them 3 stars, because I think back beyond the perfect, beautiful wedding and I remember the hell that I went through dealing with the Wedding and Special Events Catering Coordinator and the Director of Wine. Let me just say, before you sign anything with Hacienda del Sol, make sure EVERYTHING discussed is WRITTEN in the contract. I held my wedding at Hacienda del Sol because growing up in Tucson I spent many celebrations with my family at the restaurant/grill. I have to believe the rumors that the hotel/grill have changed ownership… the service is NOT what it used to be – if you want to sit in the restaurant on Sunday to enjoy the $50 brunch, make sure to make a reservation ahead of time or you will be shoved into the back corner of the bar because all of the empty tables in the restaurant are “reserved” (by the way- the “reserved” tables remained empty throughout our entire 1 hour brunch). I gave them the 4 starts because my wedding went on without a hitch! The food was excellent, the kegs of beer -I specially ordered-were flowing, and the wedding was absolutely wonderful!
