Our ceremony was held at Haiku Gardens with our reception held at the restaurant upstairs at Haleiwa Joes. It was a 2023 summer wedding held in the daytime from 10am to 2:30pm. We’d decided on Haiku Gardens because my partner and I are simple people who wanted the whole package and that’s exactly what we got. The wedding planner, Tamara kept things simple for us and we mainly communicated via email. What was nice about holding our wedding there is that we were able to customize our package and paying for what we mostly cared about via ala carte. I am for one a person who only likes to pay for whats necessary. Another perk was that they were cool with us using our own vendors. We did our own cake, flowers, and decoration and paid for their photographers and musicians. Tamara was so kind to lend us their cake cutting kit, and extra vases when we didn’t have enough . At the end of the day, our guest were at awes with the beauty of the Koolau and the pond. The natural beauty of the place spoke for it self and we paid little for decoration. My family was so impressed that my older cousin wants to also book Haiku Gardens for their summer 2024 wedding. Reviewed on 24-07-2023

We got married at Haiku Gardens a few months back and it was perfect in every way. Tamara helped us plan all the details from the mainland and she and her team were attentive and took care of everything on the wedding day. Planning our wedding at Haiku Gardens was not only easy, it was also incredibly affordable for what we got. (We knew we wanted to have a destination wedding so we'd be able to spend several days with friends and family and were shocked, in the best way possible, when we discovered we could afford Haiku Gardens/Haleiwa Joe's.) The manager, Tamara, was a gracious and communicative host and organized everything beautifully for a private wedding brunch at Haleiwa Joes. The catering menu was tiered and reasonably priced and the food was a hit amongst locals and out of town guests. Tydal Jackson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-11-2021 This place matched (and even exceeded) my expectations. My husband and I planned this wedding from North Carolina, so we really didn't get an opportunity to tour the venue at any point before the wedding rehearsal. And I was a bit all over the place with my wedding planning via email, so I wasn't sure how it would all come together in the end. But oh my gosh, I was blown away at how beautiful and perfect it all was. The wedding day was completely seamless; everything was on schedule and flawlessly executed. The decorations were absolutely beautiful, and I was stunned at how they perfectly nailed the type of bouquet and centerpiece I wanted (I asked for king protea as the centerpiece flower for the bouquet, and I was so shocked that, not only did they have it, but the flowers looked exactly like the example photo I had sent to Tamara a few weeks prior)! The food and drinks were also amazing and delicious, and the live band was excellent. Everyone was so helpful and professional. And all of our guests raved about how it was the best wedding they had ever attended. It's a perfect venue for anyone wanting a lush, secluded tropical garden wedding with a gorgeous mountain-peaked skyline. Tamara and her team did a wonderful job! If they can pull off an excellent wedding and reception for someone planning it from 5,000 miles away, they can do anything! Plus, on the day before our wedding, a hurricane threat happened making our families and friends question: is the wedding still happening? Fortunately, Tamara and her team from Haiku Garden Weddings made it possible. By planning out everything in advance and continued communication on any changes or additional information required, all choices had been taken care of 2 weeks prior. This allowed for any new changes due to other events to get our full attention and we were in continuous communication leading up to the day with backup plans ready. Everything went perfectly on the day of and all vendors showed up on time providing their services in a professional manner while adhering to CDC guidelines and quietly left when no longer required. The reception at Haleiwa Joe’s had delicious appetizers prepared for all guests while photos were happening. The only downside was the appetizers were too good that most of us did not leave room for the entrees which were just as great. We took all our allotted time at the reception but were not under any pressure to clear out which was very much appreciated. We had taken a look at several locations around the island and we both automatically knew we wanted to have our wedding there! We LOVED the lush green garden, it was exactly what we were looking for. I'm originally from Hawaii, so half of our guests would be flying in from the mainland. Keeping our guests in mind - we wanted to give them a beautiful experience outside of Waikiki, where most of them who were flying in would be staying.During the wedding planning process, we kept in contact with Tamara through email during the months preceding our date. We were wondering difficult it would be planning a wedding from California, but Tamara made it so seamless and easy! It was easy to reach her and she was very responsive. Every email was so detail oriented which eased off a lot of stress. We already had found a few vendors on our end and she helped us find the rest.Seeing everything come together during the big day was absolutely breathtaking! Since Haiku Gardens is on the windward side of the island, it does have a tendency to rain there more often. We did have a few sprinkles during the ceremony but it added to the magic of it (and hey, they say it's good luck). All of our guests loved the garden, it felt like our own private oasis. Kai Perkins(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-10-2019 Exceptional Experience at Haiku GardensYou don't have to look any further for a wedding venue, pick up the phone and call Tamara to save your date. The overwhelming feedback from our friends and family was how beautifully smooth our wedding day looked and felt. This is largely attributed to Tamara's talent, organizational skills, transparency, and of course the venue. Not to deter from how much work it takes to plan a wedding, Tamara and Haiku helped to make it look effortless. The end result was our dream wedding. The venue itself is breathtaking! Set back in Kaneohe, you would never know this oasis existed and that is part of the charm. As you embark down the paved path from the parking lot to the gardens, you pass the restaurant with a thatched roof, which reminds you of an earlier era in Hawaii. Finally, you've arrived at the oasis, the Haiku Gardens. Should you opt for a more traditional setting, a chapel can also be found in the gardens In addition to a ceremony site, Haiku Gardens offers use of their restaurant, Haleiwa Joe's (the thatched roof restaurant you walked past on your way down to the gardens) for your reception. This is where the magic of Tamara and her team continued to make our dream wedding come true. With a plethora of options for pupu's, our guests devoured the Tempura Crab Rolls, Bruschetta, and Fruit which paired nicely with the bar. And the bar and bar staff did not disappoint! Nearly every guest made it a point to let us know how impressed they were with the service they received from the staff. Mahalo to the staff. Insider tip, the Li Hing Margarita was a show stopper! Thank you for keeping the drinks flowing!Of course the buffet was on par with everything else at Haiku/Haleiwa Joe's. The coconut mac nut chicken, grilled fresh fish, and kalua pig were so delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the menu options. Looking around, it seemed like all of our guests loved the food. With countless photo booth companies to choose from, it can be hard to pick one to go with. However, our photo booth from Party Pix Hawaii was absolutely beautiful, the backdrop was perfect, the props were so funny, and best of all the custom layout helped photos look awesome! The candy buffet from Victoria's Sweets was a massive success. She had so many options with the best containers and scoops to make the candy buffet look awesome. She did a great job setting up the table, it was just what we wanted. The photographer Eric from L'amour was incredible! Eric made the day great with his personality and energy. The pictures turned out beautifully, we are so happy with the results. I cannot recommend Eric enough! The florals from Passion Roots was everything and more. Words cannot express how beautiful and breathtaking the floral arrangements were. From the ceremony alter and isle pieces to the reception center pieces and arrangements around the venue were truly breath taking. If we already weren't in a garden, the flowers from Passion Roots made it feel like we were submerged in a tropical garden. Not to mention the cascade floral arrangement were to die for. Thank you!Ultimately, we were beyond thrilled with our wedding at Haiku Gardens. A massive Mahalo to Tamara and all the hands that helped prepare this day for us. There is absolutely nothing that we regret about our day. It's months later and we're still often told how beautiful, seamless, and fun our wedding was. We simply can't take all the credit. Tamara, her amazing vendors, and Haleiwa Joe's staff truly made our day unforgettable. As a coordinator, Tamara was always so prompt with her email replies (we planned from CO) and never pressured me to make a decision (even though we were coming down to just weeks before the wedding). Her responses were thorough and kind, and always so very patient. We felt extremely taken care of the whole day, our guests included. The ceremony site in the gardens will always hold such a special place in my heart. It's breathtaking and the fact that we got married in that lush little heaven will forever stay in my heart. The food during our reception was just as great as the service and staff. Sometimes with buffet style you find the food to be over seasoned, under seasoned, or over cooked. This definitely was not the case with Haleiwa Joe's. I'm not sure if they were allowed to, but many of our guests happily went home with heaping take away boxes of leftovers :) The buffet was well tended to the duration of our reception.I don't know how the staff kept up with the constant drink orders, but they never skipped a beat! Shot after shot, they poured with a happy laugh. Like I mentioned above, we've been back at home in CO for a few months now and our friends still talk about how much fun our wedding was. So much of that is because of all of the staff, vendor teams, and Tamara. We're truly so, so grateful for everything you all did for us. Book with Haiku Gardens/Haleiwa Joe's. You wont regret it. Despite the heavy downfall of rain (which obviously was not their fault and expected in Hawaii), Tamara and her crew did a fantastic job making sure our guests were sheltered from the rain before heading down to the chapel... and most importantly, the bride was protected and delivered unscathed from the rain! Tamara was fantastic to work with, especially with us coming from California. Her communications with us were timely and helpful. He provided references and direction regarding vendors and structure for the day. When it came to our reception lunch, the food at Haleiwa Joe's was great! Our guests were impressed with how good the food turned out because buffets you can easily get over cooked and under or over flavored food. We decided in February to get married in Hawaii instead of traveling home to the mainland and we were lucky to find such a wonderful place on short timeline. Tamara is a lovely person and was very quick to getting back to us and took care of flowers, cake, photographer and Haleiwa Joe's has wonderful food, when my husband found out they would be serving food he was very excited. He has eaten there before and loves their prime rib. The venue is so beautiful with a small lake, an open air chapel so you don't have to worry about it raining on you. The venue also has a tropical garden that is very well maintained. When a wedding is not going on it is open to the public but will be closed off for your ceremony so it is very private. I highly recommend this venue. Reviewed on 29-04-2018

Colton Neves(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-02-2018 Overall (6/5)I have nothing but excellent things to say about getting married at Haiku Gardens. If that’s all you need to hear, then book with Tamara immediately. You won’t regret it. Also, ours was a gay wedding with absolutely NO problems, so bring it here LGBTQ community!Venue (5/5)Haiku Gardens blows the competition out of the water. I’m in Boston now but grew up 10 min away from the venue and still I was floored by its beauty. The pictures are stellar but even they don’t do the venue justice. Our wedding was in February so it ended up being cool (and luckily no real showers) but if you’re going to be outside in the summer prepare for warmth. Also, the view from the restaurant will knock your guests socks off (and makes for a KILLER backdrop for photos)Planning (6/5)Tamara was hands-down the reason we picked this place and is the reason we’d come back (maybe renewing our vows?) She has a smooth process in place with spreadsheets that help catch what you might miss in planning. Her deep experience in planning weddings means she can provide valuable suggestions throughout (and be creative in solutions day-of.) Again, we were in Boston planning with a 6 hour time difference and she was prompt in her responses and persistent if we didn’t answer something she needed. What she brings to the sweetheart table cannot be overstated.Execution (5/5)Go for the spiral setup so you can walk down the aisle and see each person’s face. It was a breathtaking moment that I will cherish forever. If you have to set up anything beforehand, you and your family can arrive early to place flowers/lei/settings and she has a team to help. Tamara organized the other vendors for us (Music for the ceremony, Music for reception, Photo booth and food/drink.)Photography was also clutch - Eric made us laugh and got some excellent pics throughout. Bottomline is that her list of preferred vendors are easy to work with, reasonably priced and totally worth it.Food/Drink (5/5)Delicious. She provides a long menu from Haleiwa Joe’s (the restaurant connected to Haiku Gardens) and you and your partner go through and pick out what you want. I didn’t hear any complaints. My preference: go for the coconut shrimp! Reviewed on 18-04-2018

She was a wonderful coordinator to work with and was so helpful no matter what little changes I thought of making. What attracted us most to this location was the private garden with beautiful views as well as easy access to parking and a restaurant, so our guests wouldn't have to travel from place to place. Besides the obvious beauty of the property, all of the staff members of the restaurant also contributed to the ease of our wedding day. My husband and I, as all of our guests, were treated with such hospitality and good spirits and I got many compliments after the wedding about the amazing food, so thank you Chefs! Going into my own wedding process was much more confusing than looking at it from an outside perspective, so Tamara was a great help to me. Kanokwan (Kim) O(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-09-2017 When attending weddings, you get to see the beautiful bride and the gorgeous groom surrounded by stunning views, lovely music, and delicious food. What people don’t see is how it all comes together and stays together as the bride and groom are too preoccupied to attend to every little thing. To that, I would like to tip a hat to the amazing team at Haiku Gardens. A little background: My husband and I had just been stationed at Pearl Harbor in September 2016 and were anxious to plan our wedding for 2017. When we arrived, we had tried Haleiwa Joe’s on a whim (not knowing it was Haiku Gardens at the time) and fell in love with the food and the breathtaking views. It became the first restaurant we loved in Hawaii. Little did we know that exactly a year from that day we would be having our unforgettable wedding there. We knew we wanted a unique location that was not a hotel, had inclusive package options, and was reasonably affordable. We scoured the internet and reviews of dozens of locations and many of the wedding sites suggested Haiku Gardens. We looked up the website and the moment we found out it was the same as our favorite restaurant, we believed it was fate! We would’ve been remised, though, if we didn’t at least have a walk through and a sit down with the planner, so we utilized The Knot and their venue concierge. Their team got us in contact with Tamara, who got back to us immediately. At the walk through, Tamara was punctual and thorough going over the different locations where the vows could take place, a general idea of how the day of would go, and even what the indoor option looked like. After the walk through, we went into the office and talked about the options. She broke down the basic prices that were mandatory and then all the different packages that we could add on. I knew that I was not going to have time to go through vendors by myself, so selecting one of the packages where Tamara would be the one who did all the leg work was such a blessing. Throughout the process of getting everything ready for the wedding, Tamara always kept us informed with her progress and the financial portion of each decision we made. She was unbelievably patient as I would take days (sometimes weeks!) to get back to her and never once called me out on taking too long. She was even kind enough to send several reminders that our final deposit was due when I was almost a week late with it. She has such an eye for detail and gives everything her utmost attention. When I didn’t know what I wanted, she would present ideas or ask questions until we got to the best option. The invoice she gave us wasn’t just to keep us informed of our financial responsibilities, but also a tracker for us to see what was done and what else needed to be accomplished. It included almost everything that goes into a wedding, so even if we had elected to select a vendor ourselves, it stayed on the list so we were reminded that we needed to take care of it. On the day of the wedding we were both pretty frazzled since it was pouring in the morning, but Tamara took it in stride and jumped right into setting up the indoor backup. We got lucky though and the sky cleared to a beautifully perfect day and she made sure that the garden was back on track to be the location we said our vows. Our perfect day would never had been as unforgettable as it was without the team at Haiku Gardens and most of all Tamara! I just can’t compliment her enough! Thank you for our magical day! All other venues I contacted either took days to reply back or didn’t even reply at all. It’s so rare you see someone like Tamara that is so responsive and also willing to help in any way possible. If anything I’d recommend the venue alone just for her! But of course it wasn’t just her, the venue itself is beautiful and well maintained. Of course it was very hot that day but you can’t control the weather no matter where you are and Hawaii is no different. Everything was set up perfectly in the garden though. I can’t wait to get my pictures from there. For the reception we had the most wonderful DJ (DJ Telly) that really got the crowd going and also did some games and other things on his own to get people up and dance. It’s a little pricey but worth every penny because he really made a lot of difference. The food at Haleiwa Joes was fantastic as usual. Make sure you spend a little extra for the prime rib. Their prime rib is famous and it’s the exact same if you order for your reception. Worth it for the extra you have to pay! The mixed drinks were also really great. My family from the mainland loved all the Hawaiian twists on classic drinks.Overall I can’t recommend this venue enough. I think they really value their guests and make sure you have everything you need to have a fantastic and memorable wedding. Thank you again to everyone at Haiku Gardens for a wonderful wedding. Everything about our ceremony and reception was perfect, but I would definitely like to highlight the food from Haleiwa Joe’s and the live music from Ellsworth Simeona and his partner Piko—both on guitar. The Haleiwa Joe’s food menu was perfect as we were able to choose a mix of local and mainland-style food for our diverse wedding guests. Haleiwa Joe’s even prepared meals specifically for our guests with dietary needs. Ellsworth and Piko were amazing entertainers and I would highly recommend this duo for live entertainment. The duo played covers of oldies and current pop hits and everything in between. Our guests had a great time dancing and singing along to their tunes. My husband and I chose this venue for various reasons and we are so happy we went with HG. Located in the East Side of O’ahu, we were met with the picturesque Ko’olau Mountains and an easy commute for our 120 guests. We chose the Mau Loa “forever” package (more information can be found on their website). For the ceremony, we added on iced tea and water for our guests because we got married on a summer day in Hawaii. Speaking of drinks, how can I not bring up the ‘ono (delicious) food served?! HG provided various choices and we decided to do a fruit platter to start off the reception. For lunch, HG provides various choices again and we chose this for our reception lunch: Caesar salad, sautéed veggies, white rice, garlic mash, grilled fish, sweet and sour chicken, and prime rib. DEFINITELY get the prime rib for your wedding. Our guests have told us that the food was amazing! HG staff made us plates and also made to-go boxes when the reception was done. HG has a list of wedding vendors they work with but they were also open to working with vendors that we chose on our own. This was a big help because we wanted our Church Pastor to perform the ceremony. The coordination, planning, and execution was done by Tamara and we received day-of assistance by Taylor (I believe that’s her name). Tamara was so helpful even before we booked HG as our venue. She was professional, easy to work with, responded to emails within a reasonable amount of time, approachable, answered my questions genuinely and just my dream come true what I envisioned as a wedding specialist! Haiku Gardens also offers all of your wedding must haves -- photos, videos, officiant, hair and make up, musicians, DJs, etc. I arranged my photos, hair and make up, flowers and officiant through Haiku Gardens. Tamara was very helpful in making suggestions, and she also answered all my email inquiries in a timely manner. Tamara has been wonderful to work with as she kept me calm, and always had our best interest. Receptions are held at Haleiwa Joe's which is located in the same area. We, as well as our guests, are raving about how good the food was. PRIME RIB is a must have! Will definitely return here with friends, family and my husband to enjoy the food , the view, and to reminisce the great time that we all had on our wedding day! Reviewed on 23-08-2016
Brooke J.(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2017 My husband and I married at Haleiwa Joe’s at Haiku Gardens on a Friday morning in June. It was the happiest day I can remember. We searched for a venue for a long time, but decided on Haiku Gardens because we wanted to have the ceremony and reception at the same location or in close proximity, and we wanted an outdoor ceremony with the reception protected from the elements, and we also wanted a backup Plan B for the ceremony in case of heavy rain. Haiku Gardens was perfect. The gardens are lovely, the mountains absolutely majestic, and you continue to enjoy both from the views from the restaurant. And the restaurant has a great set up for gathering together, chatting individually, and celebrating on the dance floor. The wedding coordinator, Tamara, was so communicative and friendly, and made planning and coordination SO much easier than it would have been had we decided to do everything ourselves, and made the day of our wedding go smoothly! She was such a pleasure to work with. We had a some special requests for things we wanted to incorporate into our wedding and reception that may have been a little outside the general routine (a photo booth we brought in, for example) and she worked with us to make them happen. Thank you, Tamara! And the food – so ono. Delicious. My husband and I definitely prioritize food over other expenses (we like to eat; who doesn’t?), and we and our family were so happy with all the food! The ahi, the tempura crab rolls, the fresh fish with capers… sigh. And the DJ, Bobby, that Tamara organized for us, was awesome. And, as a little side-note, I was very impressed at how few mosquitoes there are at the gardens. I am a mosquito magnet, but hardly had issues here. Reviewed on 15-08-2016
Jennifer Vuong(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-06-2016 We got married on a Saturday afternoon at Haiku Gardens/Haleiwa Joe’s in June of this year. Haiku Garden’s is such a beautiful place! I found Haiku gardens on “The knot” and read all the wonderful reviews on social media (The knot, yelp, weddingwire, facebook, and Instagram) and I knew I would be in good hands. I was a bit nervous about doing a destination wedding, knowing that I would not be able to see the venue, try the food, and get to do the whole wedding experience. But that wasn’t the case. I was lucky enough to go on a trip to Hawaii (October 2015) to meet Tamara, check out the venue and do a cake tasting! Tamara the wedding planner and coordinator is AMAZING!! She is a DREAM to work with. She is very patient, organized and took care of everything! I had a lot questions and Tamara always responded in a timely manner. She never made me feel like I was bothering her with my constant emails and questions. The best thing is you don’t get stressed out or turn into Bridezilla. All the vendors that we worked with for our wedding were equally amazing. Everyone did an amazing job! I can’t want to see the photos! We had our ceremony outdoors in front of the hut and it was perfect! I was so happy we were able to have the ceremony outside and it didn’t rain! (It was raining during rehearsal the day before, and I was hoping it would be sunny on the big day!). We had pupus for our quest at Haleiwa Joe’s while my Husband and I were taking photos. Everyone raved about the shrimp! Those were the first ones to go. The buffet brunch reception followed after and our guests said the food was delicious. I like most brides didn’t get to eat much, which I was bummed about! (That just means I need to go back to HAWAII). We had a party of about 60 guests and it was perfect and exactly what I wanted for our big day. I really enjoyed the experience of a “Destination Wedding” with the help of Tamara. We couldn’t have done it without her. The venue was perfect and the food was delicious. All of our guest said this was the most beautiful wedding they have been too! This day was so special and I was so happy with how everything turned out Thank you so much to Tamara, Haiku Gardens, Haleiwa Joes, and all the vendors for all the hard work that went into making our wedding day so unforgettable. I hope to visit Haiku gardens and Haleiwa Joe’s soon! Reviewed on 03-08-2016
Anonymous (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-09-2017 Our wedding was EVERYTHING we ever could have dreamed of thanks to Haiku Gardens/Haleiwa Joes and our INCREDIBLE wedding coordinator Tamara! Let me start off by saying that this venue had such incredible significance to my husband and I (the gazebo down by the little lake was where we had our first kiss and I grew up near the area), we never could have dreamed of a more perfect venue! On top of that, this venue was really inexpensive for what it really is worth. It has a million dollar view of the Koolau mountain range, a romantic gazebo over a mini lake/pond, an open air tahitian chapel, beautiful green foliage all around the garden (great for photos), a restaurant on site that serves ono food (perfect for receptions) so guests don't have to travel anywhere, and super friendly staff! Honestly the whole wedding experience at Haiku Gardens was great, we really couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. On top of EVERYTHING I just mentioned, this venue's wedding coordinator was seriously THE BEST! There were so many last minute changes that I had to make and SO many questions I had, but Tamara answered them all thoroughly, in a short period of time, and always assured me it was no big deal. She's super down to earth, friendly, and knows what she is talking about! She makes booking through Haiku Gardens worth it all by herself...that's how good she is! I highly recommend Haiku Gardens/Haleiwa Joes to anyone and everyone, whether you're on a tight budget or are willing to spend a little bit more, Haiku Gardens has special packages to suit every lifestyle! Thank you Haiku Gardens for making our wedding day the perfect, best day of our lives and one that we will remember and cherish forever! Reviewed on 19-07-2016
Michael Orozco(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-07-2016 So I heard you want to get married...good, you've come to the right place.Haiku Gardens is an excellent choice for weddings or any occasion event at the gardens. I recenty (7/2/16) held my wedding ceremony there, and it was nothing short of beautiful. Outdoor venues are awesome and SHOULD be highly sought after because let's face it, we live in Hawaii, a literal tropical paradise that offers year round sunny skies, moderate temperatures, and breezy trades. Haiku Gardens offers all the elements that couple the beauty of nature with the memories of the day - majestic Ko'olau backdrops, quaint gazebos sitting on garden ponds, bamboo and other tropical flora and fauna, as well as beautifully manicured lawns cradled by lush foliage. Many venues and the success of the events they host are only as good as their events manager, luckily Haiku Gardens has a professional wedding coordinator and events manager onsite - Tamara Suyetsugu. Tamara is lovely, patient, accommodating, and very responsive. I've been in Marketing and promotions and have planned many events over the last 16 years and Tamara made the coordination and finalization of details even easier. She worked with my budget and provided creative suggestions for my ceremony that really brought a beautiful and whimsical aesthetic to the day - I can't thank her enough. Pricing, if you're wondering (and I know you are) is VERY reasonable; they offer packaged pricing or ala carte, so you can do as little or as much as you'd like. The garden can accomodate up to 200 guests, which is more than enough for the typical local wedding. The grounds are well maintained, and there are indoor (onsite chapel) and outdoor options and varying touches (different arches) to make your event unique. Also, don't worry too much about mosquitos - I know you're thinking muggy, rainy Kaneohe so must get choke mosquitos! Nope, there are a couple here and there, however Haiku Gardens regularly employs pest control to keep the gnats and bugs to a minimum so you don't have to waste money on \"OFF Bug Spray\" wedding favors!Parking too is ample with an estimated 60+ stalls, plus some street parking. Always good to bus in your guests if you're pushing the 200 attendee mark, but the parking lot should accommodate fairly well in any respect. All in all, a great experience with Haiku Gardens. I encourage you to check them out for your wedding or event. Reviewed on 17-07-2016
Karina Ricardo(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-04-2016 We got married on a Tuesday night at Haiku Gardens/Haleiwa Joe’s in April of this year. I tend to be an anxious person and very indecisive, but Tamara was so awesome, patient, knew just what needed to be done and what to say to put me at ease. Not just the day of, but throughout the entire process of planning. I had soooooo many questions, but she always responded promptly and never made me feel like I was bothering her in any way. Always a warm response and I always felt like she sincerely cared about our wedding as much as I did. Sometimes I even felt like she was more excited about my own wedding than I was (just because my own indecisiveness made me feel overwhelmed). The vendors she recommended (Picket Fence Florist, Bianca Photography, Pure Media Hawaii, We Heart Cake, Reverend Kimo Taylor, Kelly Boy Delima, and Delish Makeup Artistry) were also warm, experienced, and did a fabulous job. We had our ceremony in the open aired Tahitian chapel followed by a dinner reception in the restaurant while the restaurant was open to the public. I worried at first about privacy, but it wasn’t an issue and even felt nice to have random people congratulate us as we walked to and from our designated area. We had less than 40 people total. We wanted to keep it simple. The view was gorgeous, the food was delicious, the staff were attentive. Everyone kept saying how beautiful the whole event had been and how cool the venue was. I can’t put into words how special that day was and how it felt. We felt so much love, not just for each other, but from all of our loved ones. Thank you to Haiku Gardens, Haleiwa Joes, all the vendors and especially to Tamara for all the hard work and kindness that went into making our wedding/reception go so smoothly and taking on all the stress of making sure everything was taken care of so that all we had left to do was enjoy our day. Anonymous (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-03-2016 Haiku gardens is a magical place. Sharing the the beauty of such an enchanting place with 150 of the people we love the most was the just the tip of the iceberg when it came to choosing Haiku Gardens as our wedding venue. Here are the top 5 reasons you should get married at Haiku Gardens: 1. The view and atmosphere are stunning 2. Tamara is an amazing planner/coordinator/superwoman 3. The food and drinks at Haleiwa Joe's are fantastic (and affordable) 4. Seriously no stress! 5. You won't turn into bridezilla or groomzilla :) From the the very first time I met Tamara, I knew that she would make wedding planning simple. I'm a pretty busy lady, so even though I live on O'ahu, I only met Tamara in person twice before the big day - the first time I saw the venue and the day of my rehearsal. She planned and coordinated everything with grace, promptness, and professionalism all through phone calls, texts, and email. Coming from a woman who loves emails, charts, lists, and schedules, let me tell you firsthand that Tamara is incredible. She always went above and beyond my expectations to answer every email, every question, every worry I ever had. I'm pretty sure my email thread with her is over 100 emails long haha and she never made me feel like all my questions were a burden. She worked directly with the vendors I found on my own either because I loved their work or because they were family or friends standing in to cut costs. And filled all the gaps with vendors I didn't have using her incredible network of wedding professionals - all at a better price than I could find myself. You know your wedding was a success when you have to kick people out the door at the end of the reception. All of our guests are still sending us messages saying how beautiful and amazing our wedding and venue were! The best part is my husband and I can go back to Haleiwa Joe's every year on our wedding anniversary to reminisce about our beautiful and special day :) Reviewed on 20-04-2016

We had appointments to visit other venues but we fell in love with Haiku Gardens instantly. It was an easy location for all of our guests to find, even the drive to the location is scenic! The garden itself is tranquil and mountains are beautiful. We loved that they offered ample parking and great services like the electric cart to transport guests who needed assistance down the hill to the garden. The coordinator Tamara was great too. She was pleasant to talk to, and she was able to answer all of the questions we had. We had just under a year to plan and Tamara there every step of the way. She always got back to me right way and made me feel comfortable the entire planning process. I really couldn’t imagine doing this without her. The vendors that Tamara had booked for us were amazing! Heather with Delish make-up was up with my bridesmaids and I at 4 a.m. to do our hair and make-up (everyone looked beautiful). Originally we wanted to get married on the garden grounds but since it stormed on our wedding day everything had to be moved into the outdoor chapel on site. Tamara our wedding coordinator took care of everything and made it a super easy move into the chapel. That's what's great about Haiku Gardens especially when planning an outdoor wedding. You need to be prepared for anything especially weather and since Haiku Gardens is located on the Windward side, it does rain often. We're so happy that the rain held out for us while we took our wedding photos. The pictures came out amazing! We went with L'amour Photography, Eric is awesome! I highly recommend L'amour when choosing a photographer for Haiku Gardens. She's no doubt, SUPERB! You'll be satisfied, guaranteed! However, brides don't always pick a venue based on the coordinator. Here's why I chose this location. 1) Convenience-- ceremony & reception in the same place. 2) Open exclusively for YOUR event only; no hotel guests or golfers etc in the backgrounds or more importantly--in your pictures! 3) The garden, it's simply beautiful and breathtaking. If you have handicapped guests, there's an electric shuttle to transport loved ones. If you're worried about bugs, they spray it every Friday. Although it rained off and on, no mosquito bites on my wedding day whereas they usually make a feast out of me. 4) Restaurant is ventilated well, clean, the wait staff are all friendly. 5) This might not sound like a big deal worth mentioning, but the commute is simple--hardly any traffic coming to Kaneohe and parking is ample and FREE! Major plus in my book! Hope this helped you solidify your decision to go with Haiku Gardens for your event!!! Reviewed on 03-10-2015

I actually had a change of heart on several things two weeks prior to the day of, and not only did she not even blink an eye to my request, but she delivered! Tamara made the planning process smooth and stress free. The only regret I have is NOT booking all vendors through her as that was the only stress that I experienced.\r\rOur day could not have been more perfect! The ceremony location was absolutely gorgeous. Being on the Windward side of Oahu, there is always a chance of rain. Haiku Gardens does offer an indoor chapel for those unfortunate days, fortunately we did not have to utilize this. The day of our ceremony, it rained the moment I arrived in the garden (*tears welling*) but we waited for five minutes and then the sun made an appearance and never left! The beautiful gardens provided the most picturesque backdrop, exactly what you think a Hawaiian wedding should be.\r\rThe reception area was perfect for our 75 guest reception. The food was delicious and so beautifully presented. The wait staff was on point; all of our guests kept raving at how attentive they were. The moment we sat down at our Sweetheart Table we were waited on hand and foot; offered drinks, appetizers, and then on to our meals. Not once did we have to ask for something as our server was always offering what we needed. Five star service all the way!\r\rAll in all, our experience was top notch. Jeannie Celestial(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-04-2015 Magical venue at great value!\r\rStory: My fiancé & I knew that we wanted to get married near the whimsical Ko’olau Mountains. There were several venues to choose from in that area, but we decided on Haiku Gardens/Haleiwa Joe’s for the overall fit for all our needs. The maximum wedding guest capacity was 175, which would force us to keep our guest list to a manageable number without excluding our closest family & friends. HG has an on-site wedding coordinator Tamara who could help us plan throughout the year & on the day of the wedding itself. This was important because I was living in Honolulu while by fiancé was living in California all year. So, we needed the extra support that Tamara offered. Haleiwa Joe’s food was truly ono-delicious so would allow our guests to taste the diverse flavors of Hawai’i. Finally, this venue was within our budget without skimping on beauty & class.\r\rVibe: Romantic, tropical, heavenly. It rained the morning of our wedding but the rain magically stopped right before our ceremony. Sunbeams streamed into our spiral-shaped wedding seating, & soft breezes flowed into the garden. Guests had easy access to free parking & did not have to waste time driving to a different venue for lunch, as the restaurant is overlooking the garden!\r\rSee our wedding video here: https://vimeo.com/128564085 (by Small Hour Films)\r\rService: Tamara was a wonderful coordinator—very patient, responsive to communication & open to our design ideas. She is a wealth of resources for referrals for all vendors you might need. The restaurant service was GREAT! Our server for our sweetheart table was super attentive & even packed us to-go boxes, noticing that we, as busy Bride & Groom, did not get to eat much of our lunch! \r\rOverall: Haiku Gardens + Haleiwa Joe’s was the perfect venue for our destination wedding! Our guests had a blast, & everything went off without a hitch! (Actually, all glitches were quickly resolved by Tamara & her super powers!) Our family is already asking for us to plan our anniversary destination/renewal of vows party! I know there is A LOT of competition in Hawaii for wedding venues. This might not be the snazziest venue on-island, but it was convenient, easy to work with, kind & hospitable, & still captured the simply beauty of Hawai’i without putting us in beaucoup debt! More money for honeymooning! \r\rTips: Their affiliated vendors are well-priced, so don’t be afraid to use them. HG offers lots of cute amenities like having water + tea in the garden before/after the ceremony, having a golf cart shuttle you & your guests up & down the hill, etc. I’d say add the little amenities! They really add a special touch to your day & reduce stress for you & your guests. \r\rI can't wait to go back to Haleiwa Joe's to eat dinner & reminisce about our special day!\r Reviewed on 31-07-2015

My girlfriend at the time and I was looking for a nice place for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. My cousin referred us Haleiwa Joe's. We immediately fell in love with the whole atmosphere. After we became engaged we knew this was the place where we wanted to be married. \r\rWe were looking for something different and didn't want the typical Hawaiian beach wedding. Being a destination wedding we really liked how there was different packages available that best suited us. It made our planning so much easier having most of everything included in the package. My wife and I really loved how accommodating and attentive Tamara was throughout the whole process. \r\rOur family and friends were just speechless when seeing the location for the first time. Every person that has seen the location through pictures mentioned how it looks like a scene from a fairytale. \r\rEvery vendor Tamara referred us to was extremely nice and professional and we were very impressed with everyone involved making our dream wedding. \r\rWe have and will recommend Haiku Gardens to anyone even considering having a destination wedding. \r\r Reviewed on 18-06-2015

From the moment I walked into Haleiwa Joe's Haiku Gardens over a decade ago, I was awestruck by the majestic backdrop of the Ko'olau Mountains. I knew that when the day would come for my Dream Wedding, the venue would be here. That day finally came in May!\r\rWe are so happy to have chosen this slice of paradise! This place holds such a meaningful place in my heart. It is a true hidden gem!\r\rAside from the perfect location and stunning atmosphere, I knew all our guests wound enjoy the delicious food based on my countless dining experiences here. All our guests raved about the food! The best part was that it was buffet style. Our guests happily went back for more helpings.\r\rMore so, the key factor to highlight was our amazing Wedding Coordinator, Tamara! She was the strong foundation behind everything. From our very first communication, she executed caring professionalism and a deep passion to help us create a magical Wedding Reception, above and beyond our dreams! She guided and supported me with every single detail. Furthermore, she excels above and beyond planning and coordinating. Tamara has a wonderful gift of sharing true understanding, excitement and joy for brides to be! She is such a blessing! \r\rWe loved having chosen Haleiwa Joe's Haiku Gardens! Amy Sheldon(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-03-2015 I got married on 3/28/2015 at Haiku Gardens and it was my absolute DREAM WEDDING! It was a destination wedding and I had never seen the location in person, only in pictures and I have to say that the pictures do it NO justice at all. It is breathtaking and I was beyond blown away at the beauty of this place when I arrived for my rehearsal. The lush tropical green gardens surrounding you and sounds of birds singing was like nothing I have ever seen or heard before. It was like another world. It was BEYOND my expectations or any ideas that I had of it to begin with. I had found the venue after hours of research and scouring the internet for the perfect, and affordable, venue for my destination wedding. I wanted the ceremony and reception in the same location and I didn't want to pay a fortune. I also know that Hawaii can be unpredictable as far as rain or shine so I needed to know that if rain happened to surprise me on my big day then I had a backup plan for that, which Haiku Gardens has in the form of a chapel on site with glass windows as to not take away from the scenery. If that sounds about what you are looking for then no need to look further! THIS IS IT! And trust me, I did my research and then some, like hours, upon hours. \r\rOne word....TAMARA! My absolutely unbelievable wedding planner/coordinator. I cannot even express how amazing she was with coordinating and planning my wedding down to the last detail. I wanted a very casual, surfer laid back kinda wedding and had a vision and she managed to execute it perfectly. I found pictures on pinterest (aka every future brides crack) of the flowers that I wanted, sent her a picture and showed up on my wedding day with them exactly as they were pictured. I wanted special bamboo chairs and a natural non fancy, no-linen look to the tables, etc. She made sure to pick a couple palm leafs from the garden to place on my tables to dress them up and made arrangements with different vendors to make sure every little detail was taken care of! Every single email (trust me there were a TON) was answered quickly with every question answered. Even things that I didn't think about she was on top of for me. I met her the day of my rehearsal and immediately felt like she was one of my girlfriends that I had known forever. She made my day even more special, carefree and fun with NO STRESS...how many brides can say that! She took care of everything and there was nothing I had to fret over.\r\rThe reception at Haleiwa Joes was wonderful. The food, amazing, the service, on point, the view overlooking the ceremony site, breathtaking. I have not one complaint about my ceremony or reception. \r\rMy last words of advice to any future brides looking into venues is to seriously STOP LOOKING! Every one of my guests who traveled from the mainland was in awe of the location and event itself. Nobody could believe how much I paid for this unbelievably gorgeous wedding. You will NOT find anything else like it and you will not have Tamara (serious necessity =)... I had the absolute perfect day. Reviewed on 18-04-2015
Katherine Park(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-03-2015 We knew we wanted to have an outdoor wedding ceremony and had eaten at the restaurant located at Haiku Gardens, Haleiwa Joe’s, a couple of times in the past. Haleiwa Joe’s has delicious food that is affordable compared to prices you find in Waikiki (the prime rib is delicious). So we toured the gardens and absolutely fell in love with the scenery and the variety of plants there. Tamara, our wedding coordinator, was fabulous and took care of everything that we didn’t do ourselves. She worked with our budget and had great ideas when I didn’t know what I wanted when it came to some of the details. We pretty much planned everything through e-mail because of our busy schedule. The vendors that we used and hired through Tamara (musician, florist, baker, photographer) were all professional and affordable through Haiku Gardens. Because of her and her staff, we were able to enjoy the most important part of our wedding day, getting married to each other, and had the best intimate ceremony with our 130 guests. Everyone had a fantastic time and we wouldn’t have changed a thing! Reviewed on 03-04-2015

Anonymous (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-12-2014 Haiku Gardens and Haleiwa Joe's is the perfect place to plan your wedding and reception!! \r\rOne of my girlfriends visited the restaurant when she was on Oahu and as I was doing research on finding a venue I stumbled across this gem again. We wanted to stay on the windward side of the island so I knew something outside of Honolulu was a better option for us. Honestly, Haiku Gardens blew me away! It was the most stunning wedding and reception that I could have asked for.\r\rWe did a simple, morning wedding with a brunch that followed. It was rainy that day and it could not have been a more mystical and gorgeous setting to marry the love of my life!\r\rThank you Tamara for making it so easy to plan! She was amazing! She listened to every detail and made my day effortless. \r\rThe music, photography, flowers, food, cake and service were all top notch. I cannot say enough great things about this magical place. It truly was a dream wedding!!! Reviewed on 06-02-2015
Kelly Kambourelis(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-12-2014 5/5 stars on all counts for my December 27, 2014 wedding! \r\r1. Location - it doesn't get any better than this. It must be the most beautiful spot on the island, in my opinion, with the lush plants and flowers, adorable gazebo on the pond, and tropical mountains in the background. My out-of-state guests were definitely impressed. There were also so many great photo opportunities provided by the location.\r\r2. Price/Package - I liked that there were several packages to choose from, as well as an ala carte menu. We did ala carte because we didn't want all the things on the smallest package, but we did want some of the other options that weren't included. It was great to have that flexibility. \r\r3. Food/Reception - We had a small party, and the restaurant set us up with a beautiful table with a great view (all the tables have good views though!), and Tamara had set everything up with the bride & groom signs, favors, and wedding cake table. The food was so so delicious and was cheaper than having a caterer. My groom LOVED his big hunk of prime rib (it was huge!) and everyone liked being able to choose whatever they wanted off the regular menu. It was also great to force people to try local-type foods like ahi poke by ordering appetizers (\"pupus\") ahead of time. The drinks were also delicious. We also loved being able to look down at our ceremony location while we ate!\r\r4. Tamara, the wedding coordinator - our wedding came to life thanks to Tamara. I had never been to a single wedding before my own, so I didn't really know what I was doing... thus, it was amazing to have guidance. Everything was so easy and stress-free!! She was SO communicative - I emailed her probably a hundred times and she got back to me almost always the same day, or the day after at the latest. Usually within an hour or so though! She helped me find a great violinist, photographer and florist, without me having to do a thing. On the day of, Tamara had set up the pretty bridal room (with a brand new GIANT mirror), was running back and forth with messages between my family and me, and was there for every need. \r\r5. Weather - The weather was beautiful, but it helped us be stress-free knowing that there was a beautiful open-air chapel in case of rain.\r\rI am so so happy we had our wedding at Haiku Gardens!\r Reviewed on 21-01-2015
