Halim Time & Glass Museum Reviews
Dino Iaconetti(other)5 out of 5 Rating
Their Events Manager Jessica Malatia and the entire staff were incredible throughout the initial planning process, in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding day with our many questions...and when the day finally arrived, it was spectacular. We can't imagine anything that they could have done better...the service was exceptional, the attention to detail, the food and beverages, the setup and layout, everything. So many guests told us how incredible the venue was and how everything went so smoothly. We are so very grateful for how our wedding day turned out. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Halim Time & Glass Museum for your next special event. You won't be disappointed! Reviewed on 14-09-2023
Giancarlo Segreti(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-09-2022 Not enough can be said about how amazing our wedding experience was at Halim. First off, the entire building is stunning. The collections, rooms, and rooftop are all spectacularly beautiful, and every time we visited to plan/rehearse it somehow felt even more impressive.Jessica and her team were really the ones who made the whole planning process as streamlined and comprehensive as possible, though. All of our questions and concerns were addressed quickly and they were always completely accommodating with all of our requests. We also really loved and appreciated that Halim provided so much more than just the venue space. The caterers through Halim produced absolutely wonderful food that our friends and family still rave about and the bartenders were fantastic. Everything down to the tables and place settings was perfect. We opted for the Tiffany package, but all of the options are great. Our wedding was everything we had hoped for, and Halim definitely worked hard to make sure that was possible for us. We absolutely recommend Halim for anyone looking for a unique and timeless wedding experience. Thank you, Jessica!! Reviewed on 22-04-2023
Sarah Elizabeth(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-01-2023 Living in downtown Evanston, we had always walked by the museum and wondered what it looked like inside. We saw photos of events held there, and thought it looked beautiful. It was on our list of wedding venues to tour—we arrived, and immediately fell in love. The staff was extremely professional and worked efficiently throughout the process. They answered every single question, and accommodated us when annotating the contract, helping us schedule and track payments, preparing the timeline for the day of, and helped us figure out a LOT of last minute changes. They offered a time for a walk through and assistance with setup the day before, which made the day of the wedding so much less stressful. They take care of EVERYTHING; set up, tear down, linens, place settings, table numbers, water, wine, changing courses, bridal suite, the bar, you name it! We just had to walk in and enjoy. The food was restaurant-quality – no banquet halls here! Many people emphatically said that was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The menu tasting was a wonderful experience guided by the Chief of Staff, and included a personal visit from the chef near the end. There are many great food and wine options, it was hard to limit ourselves to just a few! The staff was very helpful in accommodating our guests with dietary restrictions and allergies; if one of the food choices would not work, they created a special alternative dish for them at no extra charge. They were so organized, they even remembered to not drizzle honey on one of our guest’s dessert. I checked with every single one of our guests who needed an accommodation, and every single one was fulfilled. We even had a guest who was arriving late; his food was kept warm and brought out immediately when he arrived. As the bride and groom, we got to sit at the head table with our personal Head Waiter, Justin, who was awesome. He made sure our water and wine glasses were always full, and would personally deliver them to us throughout the night whether we were chatting at a table or in the middle of the dance floor. He said he was there if we needed anything, and he always jumped in to help with a smile. Our guests repeatedly told us how beautiful, elegant, and classy the venue was. The Tiffany Room and first floor galleries were the perfect setup for cocktail hour, and everyone loved the gorgeous glasswork (and open bar). The Wisteria room, bathed in candlelight, with a view of the Chicago Skyline, was perfect for dinner and dancing. The staff was professional and helpful, and the entire event ran smoothly. We specifically wanted a venue that would “do it all” so we didn’t have to, and Halim Time and Glass Museum absolutely delivered. We treasure the experience we had on our special day and thank Jessica and all of the staff for making it the perfect experience. Reviewed on 16-02-2023
Lighten .(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-12-2022 We chose Halim for an event we held in December of 2022. It is an absolutely beautiful venue. Their staff is kind, considerate, and extremely responsive. They were also exceptionally accommodating in helping us personalize the event to our needs. They handled everything from the floor plan and the event signage to the on-site A/V equipment and the valet parking with quality and professionalism. They are one of the most helpful and responsive vendors we've worked with - you will be in good hands with this venue! Reviewed on 03-01-2023
Gretchen Krause(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-10-2022 From the minute that we did our initial walkthrough of the Halim Time & Glass museum, my now husband and I were taken aback by the exquisite beauty and meticulous design of the entire venue. We knew that the museum was truly a one-of-a-kind gem of a wedding venue just for it's aesthetics, but we were blown away by how perfect the wedding day experience was, thanks to the Halim staff. The entirety of the staff- from the bar tenders to the valet staff to the chef- were incredibly kind, professional, and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. A review of the Halim Time & Glass Events team would not be complete without mentioning the impeccable work of the events directors, Jessica and Aaron. In the planning process, they answered every question and ensured that our vision would be executed flawlessly. On the day, they were prepared, extremely helpful, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our day was truly a magical experience for my husband and me. Even more importantly, we were so appreciative of the events team for expertly executing a welcoming and special guest experience. Our guests were taken aback by how interesting and beautiful the museum was, and how welcoming the ballroom was for a wedding. Guests called the venue magical! I cannot say enough how positive our experience was in working with the museum for our wedding, and would HIGHLY recommend booking them for your wedding and any special event. Thank you, to the entire Halim Staff, for exceeding our every expectation and for making our wedding day the most seamless, fun, and happy day that we could have ever imagined. Reviewed on 24-10-2022
Adam Kleinerman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-07-2022 The staff at Halim are among the kindest and most accommodating professionals that we've ever worked with. Throughout the process, they put us first as customers. They communicated all of the pertinent information, and were efficient in our interactions. They went above and beyond in helping our guests with special needs. You won't find a better pair to coordinate your event with than Aaron and Jessica. They're just good people, in addition to being good at their jobs. They wanted this to be our special day, and delivered on all aspects, customer-service wise. The food is surprisingly excellent! I say this because our experiences at weddings typically have yielded sub-par meals. Even a 5/10 meal is pretty rare at a wedding. Make SURE you select the spanakopita as an appetizer. They'll move. The roof is very special. It's the perfect spot if you have a 100-130 person wedding.Do NOT miss out when considering venues. Reviewed on 10-08-2022

Ruani Ribe(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-05-2021 The museum is an absolutely fabulous place to host your wedding, and my husband and I are so happy we chose it! We wanted a unique venue with character, and the stunning decor and stained glass blew us and our guests away. They have full service catering in-house that is absolutely delicious as well as a gorgeous bridal suite perfect for getting ready and stealing a moment with your partner. We had to postpone and downsize our wedding due to COVID, and the event manager, Carolyn, was incredible throughout the process. Patient, prompt follow up, understanding, flexible, and working with us to prepare a range of different options and go through numerous changes to make our wedding as close as possible to what we envisioned. Needless to say, we never could have done it without her but her positivity and professionalism made all of the difficulties we faced so much easier to get through. She was such a pleasure to work with. Only a couple hiccups for the wedding day--it was one of the first hottest days of the summer and unfortunately it was a bit stuffy and hot inside the room for most of the night. Luckily our guests were dancing so much that most stopped noticing! There was also a mix up with entrees being brought to the wrong tables but that was quickly resolved and everyone got the entree they had pre-selected. The food was so delicious that this was also quickly forgotten. The rest of the dinner service was amazing and so was the staff. I believe we were only the second wedding hosted since the pandemic so I appreciate that there were likely a lot of new things the team was adjusting to. Mentioning these things so other brides can make sure to pay attention to these areas if they are important to them, but I hope it does not deter anyone from booking at this amazing venue. Kate Meyers(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-09-2019 We could not have been happier with our choice to have our wedding reception at the Halim. To start, the location is perfect for Evanston - close to hotels, outdoor picture locations, and bars/restaurants for guests in town for the weekend. The staff was so incredibly helpful. We worked with Jennifer and she legit took care of everything for us. We didn't have to worry about a thing day of. Our guests were raving about the food. And they even let us customize a buffet menu with all of our favorite foods. We also loved how new the space felt. It doesn't have a banquet feel like most older reception venues, Our 125 guests fit perfectly in the Wisteria room. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a reception venue in the Evanston area! Thanks again to the Halim! Reviewed on 23-12-2019
Rosellen McGary(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-06-2019 This is a beautiful venue with an optional rooftop deck which we used for our cocktail hour before dinner. This deck has a view of Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago. The Wisteria room has floor to ceiling windows on two sides with an outdoor balcony and features a stained glass dome. The catering is done in house and the food was excellent. We received many compliments on the food. It was just as delicious as it was at the tasting. Both the catering manager and the wedding coordinator were very attentive and promptly acted upon any requests that were made. I could not have asked for a more perfect reception. The staff the night of the wedding were outstanding as well - there were a lot of staff around to help and all were courteous and professional. The packages that Halim offers include almost everything, which made our wedding relatively stress-free. The only things we needed to take care of were the DJ, centerpieces, and photographer. The food is catered by the museum and it was delicious. Some of our guests commented on the amount of food offered - it was a lot! The service was great, too.The venue is beautiful and doesn't much (if any) additional decor.
