Harbour Club is a beautifully designed waterside wedding venue in Charlestown, SC. It is something old and something new, having initially established its name in 1994 on Prioleau Street and being at the center of the city for over 25 years. The new Harbour Club has moved and just recently opened down by the Ashley River at WestEdge, carrying with it all the charm and sophistication of the old venue.
Harbour Club at WestEdge is located on the 7th floor, where the elegant Rivers Ballroom features gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the Charleston city marina. The venue is fully customizable and can be divided into smaller spaces for more intimate affairs. Should you wish to hold a more lavish and grand reception, the ballroom can comfortably accommodate up to 300 of your nearest and dearest. The adjacent outdoor terrace overlooking the river is the natural spot for a cocktail hour reception as you and your guests relax with a drink. The view from the balcony almost demands a picture to be taken, so have your photographer ready to capture the magic.
Historical prestige and contemporary glamour live in perfect harmony at the wedding venue of your dreams. Perched stories above the city, you and your loved ones will dine like kings and queens with the Harbour Club's five-star dining experience. Harbour Club Reviews
Alyssa Shillingford(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-03-2019 Our wedding was held at the old Harbour Club location back in 2019 (ceremony/cocktail hour on rooftop, reception on lower level room). The venue was in a FANTASTIC location..not sure where the new one is. Overall, our wedding was beautiful and everything ran smoothly. We got many compliments on the food and bar service so that's HUGE. Communication with the event coordinator was a little tough at times, but when we did connect she was SO helpful. Only downside is that I think because the venue was moving there were some building issues they didn't keep top of mind (tops of lights missing on rooftop and at entrance..), but shouldn't be an issue in the new location. Karen Campillo(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-02-2018 The food and service was beyond excellent. Chef prepared everything to our liking and even came out to greet us. Service was great as well, staff was often checking on guests and on us. My husband (then fiancé) has been a ClubCorp member for years and the food and service has always been consistent across clubs. We had some issues in the beginning with the PrivateEvents Director (who is no longer with the Club) but we were definitely pleased with Nina, the current director. Reviewed on 16-03-2018
Lauren Byers(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-05-2017 We could not be happier that we picked the Harbour Club for our wedding in Charleston. After an exhaustive search of many venues in and around Charleston that just were not the right fit, I met with Shannon at the Harbour Club and fell in love. I was blown away by the value their venue offers for the location, food and services that they provide. Our guests showered us with compliments about the venue and the quality of the food. We used the roof for our cocktail hour, and the room on the second floor for our meal and dancing. This is a smaller venue, we ended up with around 65 guests, and likely could have had one or two more tables, but I think more would have required an additional room for dancing. Shannon was excellent to work with from beginning to end, very responsive and helpful with changes to menus and set-up. They also offered a very generous tasting, which was very helpful in narrowing down our menu options, and the food was even better the day of our wedding than at the tasting. All of their servers, bartenders and event staff are highly professional, efficient and friendly. Thank you for making our wedding such a special day.One note- they changed the chairs in the ballroom between when we booked the venue and our wedding, the new chairs are very conference center-esque and not really the right feel for a wedding, this was a disappointment. We ended up renting chiavari chairs, which looked lovely, but were an unexpected expense in the final months of planning. i wished they'd picked chairs that were a better fit for the room and building. Ashley Watkins(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-11-2016 We had our reception here September 17, 2016 following our ceremony at Summerall Chapel and it was just a dream! Shannon, the event coordinator, was the most incredibly helpful and responsive person I worked with through the process. I planned our wedding myself and she responded to every silly question I had within hours and was always kind, accommodating and creative. She helped work with our budget to give us our dream day! She was even moving huge tables around herself the morning of the wedding AND helped us out when we ran into an issue with our transportation vendor. She is INCREDIBLE!The service at the Harbour Club was impeccable. Wait staff was super helpful and friendly. Bartenders were great. Food was AMAZING and far surpassed the \"wedding food\" I've had previously. They constantly asked if we needed anything and even packed us up food to take back to our room after the reception. You can't beat the beautiful terrace for cocktail hour and the perfect spot near the pier and pineapple fountain for pictures. They recently redecorated their ballroom with new grey paint and chairs so it can mesh with any wedding color palette. If you're debating or on the fence about this venue...Book it. You won't regret it. The perfect setting and service for your special day! Reviewed on 27-09-2016
Anastasia Kachur(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-07-2016 Anastasia1 Review07/23/20165.0Just about one year ago, I was having the most difficult time finding a classy, elegant, and not too pricey Saturday eveningwedding venue for 50 guests, and luckily, I found the Harbour Club! Shannon, the events coordinator, was a dream to work with- from the delicious tasting to the day of- I would not have put our reception in anyone else's hands. We held our cocktail hour on their romantic 3rd floor rooftop terrace and our dinner and dancing in the Chairman's grill room, and everything was honestly perfect. The food was SO so delicious- we chose fun street taco & asian stations followed by a \"marble slab\" style ice cream bar, and was complimented perfectly with the signature cocktails they put together for us. The look and location of the Harbour Club could not be more Charleston, and the service is top-notch! I know many other venues up-charge and arm and a leg for every little thing, but Shannon & The Harbour Club team were simply happy to help with things such as room set up & design and laying out all of the little details for us. If you're a Charleston bride looking for a venue where you won't have to worry about a thing (including paying an arm and a leg) contact the Harbour Club! I would not hesitate to recommend them, as piece of mind, delicious food for guests to remember, and a perfect location are utterly priceless for your big day! Reviewed on 15-08-2016
Lauren Willis(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-06-2016 I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with everyone at the Harbour Club. Shannon made me feel very comfortable putting everything in her hands. I was an out of town bride and had never even been to the venue until days before the wedding. It was perfect for our small, intimate wedding ceremony and reception. James was our banquet captain for the night and he was such a joy to work with. Everyone at HC is so friendly and made our day perfect! Reviewed on 08-07-2016

The Harbour Club was perfect for our wedding. We loved having access to the different rooms and the food was fantastic- two things you rarely find in a wedding venue.\r\rShannon was really easy to work with and answered all our questions really quickly! Reviewed on 12-08-2015

Emelie Holm(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-02-2012 My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Harbour Club on 2.25. Since then we have only heard good things about the appetizers, the seated entree and the service. \r\rKelly and Fu did an amazing job making sure that the night went off without a hitch. The rest of the staff was amazing and did everything they could to make our night unforgettable. One waitress made sure that we were well hydrated during the entire night. Another waitress boxed up a random piece of cake and followed us out so that we could have the cake at the hotel. \r\rWe had the most amazing time and so did our guests. The price of the bill was a little high but it was well worth it! And they were very comparable to other vendors that we looked at. Reviewed on 14-03-2012
Lynn Whitten(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-08-2010 Pamela at CCC knows her stuff and will make your reception go perfectly. Be prepared to answer lots of details questions! The food was AMAZING. We had a sit down meal at the reception, which can sometimes end up with rubbery chicken.... Not so here! We chose salmon and beef filets that were incredible - and the bride and groom even got to eat! Great venue for a reception of about 130-200 people. Reviewed on 14-09-2010
MEREDITH OTTINGER(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-07-2009 We chose the Harbour Club for it's location (int he historic district), proximity to waterfront park, and it's simple beauty. It seemed as though everything was going to be included and it sounded like a dream come true!\r\rMuch of the staff was very friendly and accommodating, even allowing the pianist to leave her equipment there overnight between the rehearsal and the actual ceremony. However, our biggest issue was with the site's event coordinator. She was harsh and at times difficult to deal with. She called many times, wanting instant decisions on things I would need to think about or research. She didn't tell us until after we signed the contract that the Harbour Club did not own the kinds of chairs she knew we would need for the ceremony - and we would have to pay $300 to rent chairs for our guests to sit in!\r\rWe did not want to have alcohol at our wedding, and when we let her know this she looked at us though we had three heads. She was helpful in creating a signature soft drink, some orange drink that was served while we had our pictures taken. After the wedding, we got a bill for nearly $40 because they made to many of these \"signature drinks\" - at $6 per glass! Aside from the fact that we had to pay over $250 for meals for 5 people that ended up not coming at the last minute (and we never saw any of that food), could the Harbour Club really not just absorb the cost of six drinks that were so small (and had no alcohol) knowing that they still made tons of money off of us anyway?\r\rThe site was beautiful, but I would not work with the event coordinator again. Her name was Christi Bick. Reviewed on 29-06-2010
