Located in Middletown and serving the central part of PA, Harmony Hall Estate is an elegant wedding venue with versatile spaces. The historic site has a building that goes back to the 1700s, adding to the property’s charms. The multiple spaces, timeless design, variety of services, and flexible packages make it easy for couples to host a celebration fitting their style.
The venue was founded by Karen Taylor, who has owned a catering company for over two decades. She decided to expand her business and provide the central area of the state with a much-needed event space. She purchased the property in 1999. Harmony Hall Estate is situated on over 18 acres with both natural woods and carefully landscaped areas. This outdoor paradise complements the understated interior spaces, making the venue easy to transform to meet your vision.
Harmony Hall Estate offers a variety of services, from full catering, event production, planning, and more. The team also welcomes outside caterers to provide couples with greater choice. Soon-to-be newlyweds can arrange to swap vows outside before moving into the exquisite ballroom. This indoor space features hardwood flooring and a neutral color scheme to complement an array of wedding themes. The property also features a historic farmhouse that has been completely renovated. It has room for up to 60 people to gather as well as dressing rooms. Multiple spaces inside and out throughout the estate give couples flexibility with where each part of their wedding is held. The dedicated team is passionate about making orchestrating your wedding simple and straightforward.

The entire Harmony Hall staff was an absolute pleasure to work with! Karen was extremely helpful in explaining everything to us during planning, she was very patient with answering our questions and showing us the property. Jill was absolutely amazing! She gave us great ideas and the regular meetings we had really helped alleviate stress. We were supposed to have our ceremony outside by the pond, but it started absolutely storming about an hour and a half before it was supposed to start. Jill was on top if it! Her and the team put everything seamlessly together, and the ceremony was everything we dreamed it would be and more! We can’t thank Harmony Hall enough for making our special day so amazing! Karen and Jill at Harmony Hall Estate helped make our dream wedding go off without a hitch! They helped us keep it together so much - whether it was giving me design ideas, helping me with my timeline, giving advice, etc. I didn’t find myself needing for anything on the way of my wedding because Jill was always 5 steps ahead of everything!The venue itself is gorgeous and well-kept. The ballroom was big and already had up lighting, drapery, and a bunch of other included decor and items that saved us a ton of time and money! The farmhouse was dreamy to get ready in and take photos in front of. The property as a whole is secluded and idyllic!We also loved that this venue doubles as a travel agency! Jill, Karen, and everyone made the planning process and day of as smooth as possible. Not to mention, their personalities are amazing and we had fun the whole time. The venue is gorgeous and all of our photos from the day turned out beautiful. Being a March wedding it is hard to find a venue that is as gorgeous in the off season, but Harmony Hall is! A few standouts for this venue are the farmhouse for getting ready. We also used it for our rehearsal dinner. That space is so cute and functional. The dinner/dance hall is also amazing and spacious. It has a very cool bar and lounge corner also which our guests loved. And lastly, the outdoor areas provide for many backdrops for photos. You have lots of options. We think it would have saved us money and helped us avoid some of the mistakes we made that made the planning a bit more stressful. Having the bridal suite to get ready in that morning was awesome! I had a beauty team come and do my bridesmaids hair/makeup and there is a little beauty bar for them to use. The guys could get ready downstairs. We had our ceremony in the woods and OH my goodness I'm still dreaming about it. Such a simply beautiful setting and the weather was on point. The bridal suite was great for getting ready, plenty of room! Everyone was so helpful and I didn’t have to worry about set up. The reception area is a perfect size with plenty of bathrooms! There outdoor setup is also great for cocktail hour or just for guests to hangout. I had yard games set up for guests to play and had a live guitarist for cocktail hour set up on the platform right above their little pond. The venue is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the staff are wonderful.We had booked this venue well in advance prior to our original wedding date. When Covid hit, they were more than accommodating and were always a phone call/email away while trying to navigate the decision to postpone. Jill and Neil are the absolute best and were literal angels the day of the wedding. The venue itself is stunning, tons of photo opportunities. People are still talking about the food- and I’m still dreaming of the mashed potatoes. We had so many people compliment “how nice” the wedding was and how it was the nicest wedding they’ve been to. When I tell them how much we paid, it really shocks them. We were on a smaller budget and Harmony Hall gave us our bang for our buck. I would choose this venue over and over and over again. The site is absolutely gorgeous that we also had our engagement photos done here as well! There are so many great places to get photos and the site caters to whatever your tastes are, whether your style is classic, more modern, rustic, etc. They truly are affordable too without feeling like you’re cutting corners to save a little bit. Our original wedding date was planned for April 18, 2020 but due to COVID we postponed to July 3rd. Karen and Jill were both amazing and worked with us to make sure that we found a new date that worked for us. As we got closer to July 3rd and when things were still iffy about gathering restrictions being lifted in time, Karen called again to give us options and first dibs on possibly rescheduling again. We decided to wait it out and thankfully group gathering restrictions lifted enough that we could move forward with our July date. Our wedding day was absolutely amazing! Despite warmer weather than if it would have been in April, I wouldn’t change a thing. I got ready in the bridal suite and it was so convenient that hair and make up came to the venue! I highly recommend going down the preferred vendors list as the staff at Harmony Hall already worked out a relationship with these vendors ahead of time and their familiarity with everyone makes everything run so smoothly. Jill and Neil both made the day go off without a hitch! Jill really knows her stuff and was key in everything going so well! We did the in-house catering and we got so many compliments on how delicious the food was, gorgeous the site is, and just overall how nice the day went! When we began the process of looking for somewhere to hold our reception about a year and a half ago, I was worried that we wouldn't find anywhere that could hold our large guest list of over 200 people that was also in close proximity to our church. We found Harmony Hall and I fell in love with the grounds, the space, and the level of service included. Throughout our entire planning process, Jill was there to guide us and answer any questions we may have had. The day of, they gave our bridal party a private cocktail hour and treated us like royalty. Even though they had 230 guests to feed, the food came out in such a timely manner and everyone raved about how beautiful the space was! They were so accommodating- I wouldn't have picked any other place to hold my reception. I HIGHLY recommend Harmony Hall, Jill, and the entire staff. They made our wedding dreams come true! One of my family members, who has been to many weddings, even stated it was the most beautiful wedding she's ever attended. I owe this ALL to Harmony Hall! I am not the girl who has had her wedding planned on her pinterest her entire life, so Harmony Hall REALLY should take all the credit for this one. They helped me plan every step of the way, did the majority of the decorations for me, set EVERYTHING up and took it all down, too, and answered any and all questions I had throughout the entire process! Worlds cannot describe how happy and pleased we are with HHE. From initial planning, unlimited advice along the way, to a beyond perfect ceremony and reception, HHE blew us away. The ground of the property are amazing and our guests are still raving about them. We decided to get married on the grand staircase which was picture perfect, but there are numerous other locations on the property to have your ceremony. Our reception was a blast and it was perfectly located right behind the old farm house. Our guests just had to walk rather than drive to another location! The grounds are lovely, and provide a beautiful backdrop for pictures and a ceremony. Karen and the staff were wonderful - they were very responsive to our questions and concerns. Karen stressed that they are flexible, and they certainly made it their mission to make the day all about us. We worked with Lexi to plan a lot of our wedding - she met with us several times through the year and reminded us what decisions we needed to be making. Unfortunately, she did move to a different position about two months before our wedding, but the transition to Jill went very smoothly. I give Jill a lot of credit - my wedding was right after her vacation, and she continued to answer my emails while she was gone! Our wedding day was beautiful, and the best part was that I never had to worry about a thing. We got to relax, get ready with our family and friends, and take pictures knowing that the Harmony Hall staff was handling anything and everything. This was the first place my now husband and I looked at as a potential venue and when we looked at a few more before ultimately choosing HHE, we compared every place we saw to Harmony Hall, we couldn’t get it off our minds which is why we knew Harmony Hall was the place for us. Everyone raved at how gorgeous the venue was and how great the food was and we were just so happy all of our guests loved it as much as we did! Oh, and I can’t forget to mention how nice the bridal suite is! It’s perfect for a long morning of getting ready with the bridesmaids. Karen, Jill and the rest of the team were SO extremely helpful every step of the way. I really felt they always went that extra step to help me and always were quick to answer the many questions I had along the way. Occasionally we would work with Jill and Karen as well. They were all incredibly helpful at offering us ideas and advice along the way when we weren’t sure what we were doing, as well as being very responsive when we needed to contact them with questions as we were planning the wedding. With their guidance, our ceremony and reception were amazing!! We had our ceremony at the pond and it was beautiful! I received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the property was. There are multiple options for ceremony locations on their property, which we also used as a beautiful backdrop for many of our photos. Throughout the wedding and reception, Lexi checked in on us to make sure we knew when everything should happen and that everything stayed on track. Selecting the vendors for our wedding day was no easy task! I have worked with some of the best wedding vendors in Central PA and a few that are not so good. So when it came time for John and I to plan our own wedding we had a long list of vendors to consider. For obvious reasons we selected my venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. Can you imagine the stress my staff felt planning their boss’s wedding day? As the owner I had no doubt my entire staff would rise to the occasion! Every single one of my staff was amazing! Jill and Lexi set up the room perfectly and helped with the planning process as if I was a regular client. Not detail was left to chance. Exec. Chef Ashley and her assistants Andrew and Denise prepared our custom menus exactly as we requested- we started off the evening with a hearty cocktail hour, we offered customized station menu that reflected both of our personalities. John had a southern BBQ style menu with pulled port, country fried steak, saw mill gravy and much more. My menu consisted of grilled veggies, three chicken selections and several starch options. We also had a pasta action station. We ended the evening with several of our favorite end of evening snack options. My bartenders and service staff were attentive and friendly as always and made sure the bridal party and my family and friends had everything we needed. We have been told over and over again by our family and friends that our wedding day was absolutely the best wedding they have ever been too. As the owner of Harmony Hall Estate and Karen's Catering planning my own wedding in less than 3 months was quite the adventure . As the owner, planning my own wedding day, I really tried to critique HHE and all our services we offer with an overly critical eye. Over the past 28 years I have helped produce thousands of weddings so my expectations were quite high and probably a tad unreasonable.. LOL! I knew my wedding day would be amazing, I was marrying the man of my dreams and I would be surrounded by my family and friends. As a wedding venue owner, planner and caterer I knew first hand how much stress couples could experience planning their wedding day. With the help of my amazing staff (Jill, Lexi and Ashley) and Plenty of Petals our in house florist (Elyse & Devon Alleman) we were able to get everything we wanted for our Dream Wedding and we discovered first hand how truly talented my staff was and how easy it was to plan a wedding at HHE! My staff always knew what to do next, they kept us completely organized, helped us coordinate with other vendors and most importantly really took all the stress out of planning our wedding in such a short time. HHE is a large property and all of the work my staff does to ensure everything is well taken care of really shows in the quality and beauty of our wedding day photos. There are truly endless photos opportunities and I can't believe we were able to get so many beautiful photos not only outside at the pond, foundation and on the farm house porch and steps but inside the farm house and ballroom! I always tell our couple to relax and not to worry about the weather since there is nothing you can do to change it and that we will help them develop of alternative plan if the weather does not cooperate. Well, it did rain on our wedding day and I have to say, it did NOT dampen our day in any way. I have to admit I was a tad disappointed that the rain stopped us from having our ceremony on the the farm house porch since John renovated the farm house for my daughter's wedding. Nothing prepared me for the flood of emotions I experienced when I walked into the ballroom for our ceremony! The ballroom looked absolutely beautiful and was beyond my wildest expectations, I can't stop looking at the photos! The center pieces, the lighting, the layout... everything was more beautiful than I ever imagined. Our guest are still raving about the food, Ashley, my Executive Chef went all out! We had a custom menu with 3 stations (Groom's favorite foods, Bride's favorite foods, Chef attended Pasta Action Station and end of evening snacks ) as well as a fully stocked bar. My guests are still raving about how attentive and friendly my staff is, how beautiful HHE is and how delicious all the food was. Of course they all loved the large selection of alcohol that we offered LOL. As the owner of HHE planning my own wedding was a unique experience I will always cherish. Words can not express our most sincere gratitude to my entire staff and Plenty of Petals for all their hard work, dedication, patients and attention to every last detail. When looking for a reception venue we viewed several locations-Harmony Hall Estate being one of them. I knew after visiting Harmony Hall Estate that the others had a lot to live up to! The location itself has a lot to offer with amazing backgrounds for pictures. The pond and farmhouse provided us with awesome backdrops for our pictures. Jill, Karen and Lexi were very helpful in keeping us on point in the whole planning process. They responded quickly to any questions we may have had and helped to make the day of our wedding go as smoothly as possible. The server that we had for the evening (I wish I remembered her name!) was AMAZING! She was constantly checking on my new husband and I to get us anything we may need. We fell in love with the property almost immediately, then were even more convinced after meeting the staff. This is a location that will make sure you have the exact wedding you want. There are many spots for outdoor services to choose from (we chose by the rose bushes!), a wonderful indoor reception area that can be designed to look however you want, and caring staff that help you envision your dream wedding. They are incredibly organized, and will set everything up for you AND tear it all down! Karen's catering will provide the meal for a reasonable cost, and every course is delicious. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and I had guests tell me that our wedding had the best hors deurves they've ever had at a wedding. But the best part of Harmony Hall has to Jill and Lexi. They are your personal wedding planners who are so kind, creative, and dedicated to making your day perfect. Our day was everything we dreamed of, and we owe a huge part of that success to Harmony Hall. We even booked our honeymoon through Karen and had a wonderful time. Karen and Jill were great to work with and made sure our day was perfect. Even though it rained on our wedding day, the staff made sure our ceremony inside the banquet hall was still beautiful. Lexi our event specialist, assisted us throughout the day making sure we had what we needed. My guests and bridal party raved about Sherri (one of the servers), as she was amazing! She made sure my husband and I always I had enough to eat/drink the entire night. The bridal suite in the farm house was GORGEOUS. The only thing I will say is the temperature in the banquet hall was quite high at the beginning of the event, but they did turn it down eventually. Other than that, I have no complaints. It was a dream come true and we're so glad we had our wedding at Harmony Hall Estate.If I could change anything, I can't think of it. It even rained on our wedding day and we had to have the ceremony inside instead of around the pond/waterfall. I am the type of person that does a lot of research and number crunching before I make a decision – and this decision was easy. There was no other venue that I explored (and I looked at a lot) that could provide the quality, service, and amenities that Harmony Hall could for a comparable price. Before I even started working with the folks at Harmony Hall I concluded that this was the best “bang” for my “buck”. Throughout the entire process, Jill and Karen were very helpful and accommodating. They worked with me through all of my visions and changes of visions and new ideas and tossing out old ideas without hesitation. When the day of my wedding arrived, I was completely relaxed because I felt comfortable that the staff at Harmony Hall had everything taken care of, and they did. The plan was to get married around the pond, but of course it poured down buckets of rain that day (good luck??) The rain was off and on so I had to make a last minute decision. With 10 minutes to spare, Jill and her team were able to move everything to the rain back up plan and it was more beautiful getting married inside than I had imagined. The wait staff and bar tenders were amazing. There was not a moment when I didn’t have some Gin in my hand. I got so many complements from guests on the service, drinks and food and several that commented on how smoothly everything went. The following are a list of my top “selling points” when I decided on Harmony and all were delivered: The opportunity for pictures, the bridal suite, the assistance from the wedding coordinator, the organization of the operation, the price, and the food options. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and there are so many places on the property to hold your ceremony and have pictures taken (which was pretty important to me). From the stone wall/ruins to the farm house we were wowed by every aspect of the venue. From the beginning, the staff were willing to accommodate our requests. We weren't interested in a formal sit down dinner, so Karen helped us craft the perfect menu for our guests, a pizza bar, pasta bar, and slider bar (our guests loved it). Along the way, Jill was always super responsive to any questions we had, and helped ease the stress of wedding planning. On the day of, Jill and Lexi made sure everything went off smoothly and on time, allowing us to have a good time and not worry about anything. We were married there on 9-3-16 and it was the best day ever :) Karen, Jill & Lexi were all so helpful and so responsive when I had any questions or silly ideas about anything. The venue itself is gorgeous. We were married outside around the pond and had our reception in the ball room. The convenience of using Harmony Hall is just incredible. We dropped all of our wedding decorations off the Wednesday before the wedding, and it was all set up for us by our wedding day and after the last dance, the staff at Harmony Hall had everything packed up and was helping to load my dads car in a matter of 10 minutes. Sherry, a server at Harmony Hall was amazing. She tended to us in the Farm House prior to our ceremony and then again during our cock tail hour. She was so great and so attentive. During the reception, she came to find my husband and I when our food was ready and ensured we got a break and sat down to eat. She also made sure everyone always had a full glass that wanted one :) Sherry was just fantastic. Jill was amazing with her fast responses and her ease of just knowing what to do. I would like to mention that during the year process (from time of booking until our wedding day) Karen and Jill had a word document that they maintained and sent to my husband and I after each meeting with all of the notes and arrangements that were discussed. During our rehearsal, we had a lot of questions in regards to timing of couples walking out etc, and during the rehearsal and during our actual ceremony, Jill and Lexi were there and made sure everyone walked out at the exact right time. We did not have a videographer so I am forever grateful to Lexi for capturing the moment we were announced as Mr. and Mrs. and sending it to me :) I can't say enough good things about Harmony Hall. My hair and make-up crew said that there was a lot of room and space was best place they ever did on-site make-up and hair. The whole day was just perfect, and exactly what I wanted. The grounds are beautiful with lots of space for guests to move around and enjoy. We ended up booking it and had our wedding ceremony right on the farmhouse steps. There are many other places to have the ceremony as well which makes Harmony Hall an even better choice. My fiance and I live in Wisconsin and decided to get married back in my home town. We chose Harmony Hall for it's all-inclusive feel. Meaning, everything we needed they were able to either do themselves or direct us to their preferred vendors that could help us. This made wedding planning from over 800 miles away SO EASY. \r\rOn the day of my wedding my bridesmaids, mother, mother-in-law and I all used the upstairs bridal suite in the farm house to get ready. We had a team come to us and do all of our hair and makeup. The suite is so spacious and even had a fridge, microwave and champagne bucket for us to use! The fact that nobody had to drive around from place to place made the day go smoothly and stress free. And, once the photographer arrived I had the most beautiful setting for pictures. \r\rWhen we arrived for the reception we were treated so well. The team had set up a special cocktail hour area for the bridal party to use in the farm house and even had all of our requested drinks waiting. During the entire event the wait staff checked in with both my husband and I to ensure we were happy. They even boxed up some extra cake for us since we didn't have time to eat any! \r\rI can't recommend Harmony Hall, Karen, Jill and their team enough! The food, the decor, the service, and the hospitality were top notch, and the Harmony Hall crew's help with the planning was invaluable. We used some of their recommended vendors as well, and all of them came through for us in a big way! Our guests loved the setting and commented on how roomy yet intimate the hall is. Jill and Karen were great to work with and were always available to answer any questions. My daughter's wedding was held @ Harmony Hall this summer. The venue was beautiful, the service was exceptional, the food very good, and everything a good value. Relatives are still talking about how nice it was. Jill was so organized and anticipated EVERYTHING that we needed. Karen and Jill listened to our requests and the final result was perfect! \rHaving access to the Hall all day was comforting. The bridal party utilized the farm house for pre wedding preparation. Based on customer service alone, I am disappointed in this venue. Their email was automatic and referred me to the website more than once when I had questions. I've also read other not-so-great reviews on different websites. My suggestion would be to acquire more interpersonal skills so you don't miss opportunities with future clients like us. However, we did not have a good experience with this vendor. When my husband and I initially met with Harmony Hall to look at this venue, we met with a really nice lady who seemed great to work with. We felt comfortable after that initial meeting with Harmony Hall and wanted to book the venue. However, we met the owner, Karen Taylor, at our second meeting (after we had already booked with them) and regretted deciding to go with Harmony Hall for our wedding reception. We felt that Karen was very unkind and inappropriate. She made negative comments about past clients and tried very hard to convince us to go with their 'in-house' florist and 'in-house' DJ who conveniently were her daughter and son (her son worked with this particular DJ). We were planning our wedding from out of town (due to our careers but we are from the area) and if we wanted to try food from the menu; we had to make a seperate trip back to the venue during one of their open houses. Their bar options are very expensive and their top option did not even include a good variety of quality alcohol. I know this is a business and they have to make money, however we felt like they were trying to 'nickel & dime' us the whole time. I also received complaints from some of our other vendors and my husband that they were not easy to get in touch with when you wanted to talk with an actual person. Fast forward to the wedding and I received complaints from guests and some of our other vendors that the staff was very unfriendly. This is a beautiful venue and our wedding reception did turn out really nice, however it wasn't worth the unfriendliness we experienced especially with the price we paid to have our reception there. I know if we had met with the owner the very first time we looked at Harmony Hall, we would not have booked with them. Reviewed on 19-06-2014

We had our reception here and all of our guests complimented on the building, historic charm and view. The fee to have our reception here was comparable to most of the other reception sites in the area. There venue offers two floors with the building rental. Our cocktail hour was one the first floor of the building, which had ample space for our wedding (60 guests). The ballroom is located on the second floor. Guests are allowed to move freely throughout the building for a majority of the reception. The only issue we ran into is the parking. Once you figure out the parking or transportation, the rest is smooth sailing. Reviewed on 13-03-2014

The historic building offered the originality and character that local hotels didn't offer. The venue is beautiful itself and even more scenic with the lights along the bridges, onsite gardens and riverfront setting, which can easily be enjoyed through the large windows surrounding the banquet hall. \r\rJill, Karen and the rest of the staff were amazing. They catered to my vegetarian needs, which was very important on my wedding day. All of the small personal details that we wanted turned out exactly as planned. Jill was on top of everything and seemed to be local whenever we needed something, but never intrusive. Jill, Karen and the staff consistently responded promptly to any questions we had, which was extremely useful since we did not have a wedding planner and both worked full time. I found everyone to be very pleasant to work with and extremely professional and efficient. \r\rOur only drawback was having to pack up all that we brought immediately after the wedding when you've had a long day and want to continue celebrating with your guests. It would be much easier if this could have been done Sunday morning. However, Jill and the staff were great at packing the items back into the boxes from which they came and were labeled. They make the whole planning process so easy! The day went smoothly and all our guests had a blast. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was. One thing that I cannot be thankful enough for, was the fact that we got rained out, and we just simply moved the wedding inside where the reception was going to take place. It became a very intimate affair, and for the price (which included the venue, food, booze (classy I know), cake and flowers all under one roof, priceless. Enjoyed every second of our special day! The venue was absolutely beautiful, inside and out. It made for great photos. They were really helpful in the wedding planning process, to were I felt I didn't need a planner, however they weren't helpful on the day of the rehearsal like they said they would be, and I ended up having to yell at everyone to fall in place. The food looked great even though I didn't get to have any because of running around all wedding day. I looked forward to eating my cake and had a special piece just for me and they cleared the table and threw away my uneaten piece of cake! I felt the prices for the food were ok when it came to the appetizers, however it got pretty pricey. So if you pick the place keep in mind how many people and your budget. I fell in love with the hardwood floors, and white walls. It was so much more elegant than the standard hotel ballroom with their ugly carpets and ugly room dividers. \r \rI scheduled a private appointment & I walked in to my initial meeting with plenty of ideas and I knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted a brunch reception. I wanted a cocktail hour BEFORE I got married. Not only were Karen and her staff accomodating, they added beautiful touches I could never have imagined. The wedding went off without incident and I am beyond thrilled with the beautiful pictures from the beautiful setting, the delicious food, and the wonderful staff. I fell in love with the original charm of this venue - it just feels so romantic. Our evening wedding was set to the sunset river view, which is enjoyed both from the three story ballroom windows and the garden terrace. The guests felt it was a unique, exciting setting that felt so different from the ho-hum wedding hall experience. \r\rKaren's Catering was very helpful (particularly Jill Patry) in answering endless questions and allowing a very \"involved\" bride like myself to fully express my own \"vision\" while giving me practical pointers and advice from their expert event-giving experience. We were SO lucky to stumble upon this place - I hope more brides will come to know about it! \r\rIf you do have your wedding here, it's good to know it's only steps away from a charming b&b just down the street - definitely check that out as the perfect compliment to the Civic Club experience! Compared against other venues in the area, they actually listened to what we wanted and made it happen. During the preparation process, Jill was our main contact and she is so incredibly easy to work with. I could call her or Karen and know they would respond immediately. A few days before the wedding I dropped off all the personalized items I wanted in the venue and when I arrived on Saturday, the day of the wedding, everything was up and the place looked gorgeous. The day was perfect. Absolutely nothing went wrong. Everyone raved about the food (I loved the chicken in white wine sauce with rice pilaf, the champagne and the mini eclairs) and Jill along with her incredible staff (I believe one was Allie) executed flawless service from the start of setup to the end of the event. My father said he got chills when his entire table was served at once. \r\r \rMy uncle, who owns his own plant/flower business in Los Angeles, mentioned how perfect the centerpieces were for the occasion - the perfect height and simple elegance. (Simple but elegant is also how he described the wedding.) It was incredibly elegant. We had the ceremony and reception (both inside) at Karen's Harmony Hall. Right above where we were married was a window that beautifully showed off the trees in the surrounding woods. (We had a religious ceremony, Lutheran, and the ambience was very serene and peaceful - it was gorgeous and our pastor approved.) \r\rThe outside of Harmony Hall is gorgeous for pictures and a perfect spot to hang out before the ceremony started. (And during cocktail hour.) The groomsmen enjoyed just being outside on the crisp March day while taking pictures while the ladies were inside in the spacious dressing room.\r \rI'm still on cloud nine and can't stop smiling. This venue is everything you could ever hope it would be. It's open and beautiful inside and out. I never felt cramped and always felt taken care of. I never even taste tested the food but I loved the venue so much it didn't matter which some would say would be risky. When my husband and I ate the food at the reception we were more than pleasantly surprised. The food was ABSOLUTELY delicious, no exaggeration!! My fiance and I decided to give it a whirl and we could not be anymore HAPPIER!!! Karen and Jill are the most AMAZING and SWEETEST women you will ever meet! We had no idea where to start or anything and if it wasn't for them our wedding wouldn't have been as PERFECT as it was! They will take a huge weight off your shoulders. The scenery, the staff, the food, planning, and everything else was absolutely IMPECCABLE!!!! We wish we could do our wedding all over again because it was one of the GREATEST days of our entire life and it wouldn't have been possible without Karen, Jill, and the staff!!! Karen Taylor (Owner)
Karen Taylor, owner of Karen’s Catering, started her business in 1987 and soon realized that Central PA did not have private event venues to host weddings, business and social events. In 1999,Karen purchased the property from Easter Seals and has spent the last 17 years renovating, restoring and adding new features to the property. Harmony Hall Estate features acres of manicured lawn, a natural wooded setting, a serene pond with a waterfall, multiple outdoor ceremony sites, a grand ballroom and a newly restored farm house with salon area, bridal suite and groomsmen gathering area.
