I could not have found a better venue for my micro wedding. We held our wedding on a Friday at the Harraseeket after some pre-wedding photos at Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park. The bridal get-ready suite was in the carriage house, a small pet-friendly accommodation just across from the Harraseeket. The ceremony was held in their studding back garden and patio. The site was peaceful and immaculately landscaped complete with stunning autumn decor, string lights, a garden fountain and waterfall, white ceremony chairs, and an arbor decorated by Harraseeket's florist Michael. We had a cocktail hour out on the patio/garden area with music and an outdoor bar. We then moved into their Maine Harvest room, also beautifully decorated and set with tablecloths, autumn-themed floral arrangements, and a small dance floor. The coordinator Jenn was wonderful doing song changes and announcements as needed. My guests were blown away by the food (herb-crusted haddock and Tuscan chicken), and the seafood appetizers. I would argue it was some of the best food I have had. The Harraseekett exceeded my expectations in creating a beautiful and meaningful experience for me and my guests. The coordinator, florist, front desk, and restaurant staff are extremely professional, well-organized, and accommodating. The hotel itself is a charming and historic building with so much character and beauty. I could not have asked for a better venue, and at an affordable price. Reviewed on 09-10-2023

We hosted our wedding at the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, ME this past August. The expectations we had for the event were far surpassed by the Harraseeket and its dedicated staff. Every moment of our wedding weekend was perfect. The Harraseeket is a family and their team makes you feel like you belong there. Aside from handling almost every aspect of the planning process from caterer to floral and beyond, the Harraseeket stopped at nothing to ensure we had the best time that we could. They hosted our wedding of about 150 people with ease and we are still hearing from guests at how much they loved the inn, and how much fun they had at the wedding and in the town of Freeport! Our guests couldn’t stop raving at how wonderful the atmosphere was at the inn and at the wedding. This is truly a one stop shop that incorporates every wish that you would want on your wedding day. I could not recommend this inn more. It truly deserves far more than just a five star review. The team was accommodating, kind, and helped myself and my groom through every step of the planning process. I leaned on them throughout the day and everything was done with a smile and an enthusiasm that made you feel like the team truly wanted you to be happy. The entire wedding day never felt rushed and the events team kept their cool even when bustling my dress took a little longer than expected! The team never made you feel like you were behind schedule and everything was well executed. The floral arrangements were stunning and by far one of my favorite components. I also highly recommend you let the Inn bake your wedding cake! It was delicious. I cannot say enough nice things about the team here and the inviting, amazing atmosphere that is the Harraseeket Inn. Thank you. Reviewed on 27-09-2023

I can’t say enough about the quality of the entire experience we had having our wedding at the Harraseeket. Start to finish we received the best of the best from the event staff. Our guests were amazed at the quality and amount of food served, the AMAZING florals, and overall presentation of the venue. The staff stopped at NOTHING to ensure our day was PERFECT! And in the end it was not only the perfect day, but completely magical. This is all thanks to the top notch service the Harraseeket provides. You just can’t get this high quality service anywhere anymore. The cost and quality made me feel like a Queen for the day and allowed us to provide nothing but the best for our guests. We will be back in the future to host events and relax in the gorgeous Harraseeket Inn. Reviewed on 19-09-2023

We had our ceremony in the garden which was private and beautiful with lush greens everywhere. Marcia was our wedding coordinator and she was phenomenal! Handled everything for us with ease, made our day so easy and really gave us time to enjoy ourselves. The food was out of this world and we received so many compliments from our guests. You build your own menu with whatever you want! We used the Harrsseeket's flower guy, Mike and the floral arrangements were even more beautiful than I could have imagined! The venue has an all-inclusive package for weddings, it is in a great location in Maine, and has the best food you could ever image. You can customize your dinner menu to anything you want! My guests were AMAZED at how delicious the food was. We had both our ceremony and reception at this venue for our winter wedding and everything to the very detail was straight PERFECTION. The Inn helps with decor, flowers, wedding planning, a bridal suite, and more. Marcia really took care of everything and was down to every single detail. The generosity of the Inn for giving us amazing deals and assistance was more than I could ever ask for. The whole day I didn't have to think about the schedule or tasks because she was on top of everything. I cannot emphasis how great of experience it was working with the Harraseeket and the staff there. I think anyone who is getting married in Maine should consider this venue! Mandi Hooper(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-08-2018 We got married a few weeks ago here at the Harraseeket Inn. What an amazing experience! We are from Maine but live in California and was looking for a venue where it would make wedding planning not so stressful from 3,000 miles away. Brenda Downs was our coordinator. She was ah-mazing! From the very beginning she made the whole planning process a breeze. Great communication and answered all my crazy bride emails. The staff there is very friendly. They only do one wedding a weekend (which is nice) and they all knew who we were. Its a good \"package deal\" because the only other vendors we needed was, cake, DJ, and photography. We had the ceremony in the garden area. So beautiful. No need to decorate! Cocktail hour was both inside/outside. The reception was held in the ballroom which was a perfect size for our party of 95 guests. The food here is spectacular. Everyone was saying it was the best wedding food they've had. We were able to have basically anything we wanted on our buffet menu for one price. This place has a very quaint, New England-style vibe and downtown Freeport was great to explore for our our of town guests. The Harraseeket paid attention to the little details and did things we didn't have to ask for. I highly recommend the Harraseeket Inn! Check it out and ask for a tour. :) Reviewed on 07-09-2018

Meaghan O'Neil(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-07-2015 From the first day my fiance and I stumbled into the Harraseeket without an appointment, we were in love with the venue. Marcia, who ended up being our wedding coordinator, met with us even though we just walked in. She took such good care of us and helped us plan every step of the reception, from suggestions for table names instead of numbers, to helping us decide on the menu (while meeting with the head banquet chef). The entire reception she was always within arm's reach tending to us while also ensuring our parents and our guests were also doing well. I can't even begin to describe how Marcia and the Inn staff made us feel so special and well treated. The food was FANTASTIC. Most of the guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had (lobster, prime rib, etc.). Also, I must mention the florist: Mike. The gardens all around the Harraseeket are gorgeous, and all the flowers inside the Inn are also his work. He meticulously planned gorgeous center pieces and bouquets for us, which complemented my colors perfectly. Even the photographer and hair stylist were commenting on how beautiful his flowers were! He even dropped off flowers at my home and at the church. If you want a wedding that your guests will be talking about for years, definitely consider this amazing venue with superb staff! Anonymous (groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-07-2015 I wanted to take a moment to brag on this venue. My wife and I left Portland while we were venue shopping and she was in tears because nothing by the water met what she wanted and was big enough. We stopped at the Harraseeket on the way home just to \"look\". When we went through the garden, we were already loving it. We walked in to their big Casco Bay room unannounced. Marcia came down to meet us and had no idea we were coming or who we were. We immediately could tell she knew what she was doing and if we were to have our wedding here, she would make us happy. \r\rThroughout the process of the wedding, the ENTIRE staff at this venue were amazing. Mike, the florist, was simply amazing. His creativity was beyond words on what he was capable and made everything look gorgeous. Sacha, one of the chefs, during our food meeting was outstanding. I was getting so excited about the food and knew there was not going to be another wedding like it. From lobster, to prime rib, to imported Stracchino cheese to lobster chowder shooters...you name it, we had it! The staff here was simply incredible on what they were able to offer. We even had a make your own mashed potato and salad bar from local growers!\r\rOn our wedding day, Marcia made very sure that we were happy the entire night. I had a headache pretty bad at one point...Marcia got some aspirin. She checked on my bride and me just the perfect amount to ensure we were ok. The gardens were so luscious and beautiful. They had yard games out during cocktail hour. I just cant even begin to say how amazing our day was.\r\rAt the end of the night, we all went to the Broad Arrow Tavern attached and we had the firepit lit for us. Jeremy, the bartender was great and so nice. \r\rIf you are looking to have an amazing wedding and throw all all the stops...consider this venue please. I promise you will not regret it if your wedding is anything like ours was!! We love the Harraseeket and cannot wait to come back for our anniversaries! Thank you to the entire staff! Christina Wagner(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-09-2014 My husband & I were planning a Maine wedding from California. It was a daunting process made so much easier once we found Ashleigh and her staff at the Harraseeket Inn. Although I had only seen the site once before the big day, I felt confident that the florist, chefs and coordinator understood our vision and goals. To say that the day came out as I had dreamed would be an understatement. Mike the florist went above and beyond and the food was delicious. \r\rWe originally were put off by the town's 10 o'clock noise ordinance, but the Inn allowed for us to host an 'after party' in the Tavern and guests drank and mingled there as well as out by the fire pits after the reception. It worked out perfectly. \r\rBe aware that if you have your ceremony outside, you will be responsible for providing sound equipment (something we overlooked until last minute). \r\rI would highly recommend this venue, especially for out of towners who are looking for food, florist, etc all under one roof. Organization, communication and responsiveness were top notch. We were so happy with our big day and are thankful we chose the Harraseeket Inn. Reviewed on 02-01-2015

The food at the wedding was great, the staff was friendly and professional, and the setting for the wedding in the outdoor garden was beautiful. The flowers, which were done by Mike at the inn, were also gorgeous. Most of our guests were from out of town and stayed at the inn, and they had fantastic experiences-- many of them want to come back again for another stay. The inn was especially great for our wedding because there is a pub, so our friends were able to spend time there both the night before the wedding, and after the wedding ended. Patricia Rodriguez(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-03-2013 Having a sentimental connection for many years to Thomas Moser furniture and Freeport Maine,we knew The Harraseeket Inn was the perfect setting for our wedding. Living in NE Pennsylvania, 9 hours away, I wasn't sure we could pull it off without major worry and headache. One phone call to the Harraseeket and honestly things became worry free. We worked with Carmen in the sales dept. However everyone that answered the phone knew what was going on. The staff guided us to various local businesses that could help us with our various wedding related needs such as hair, make up, massage and even a yoga instructor. This was a great help since we had to make all selections via long distance. Not to mention we didn't want to miss our Monday night Hatha yoga session. Once we were checked in the staff made us feel as though we were the only guests at the Inn. We stayed in the Thomas Moser suite. The mattress and the linens on the bed felt heavenly...as if I was sleeping in a cloud. Our ceremony in the Drawing room of the Harraseeket was simple elegance....no detail was overlooked. The staff even watched the weather conditions and kept us abreast of them as we planned our return trip to Pennsylvania.
