Rendleman, Havisham House is a testament to the French-Victorian style of architecture. The structure features tall windows and a porch stretching around the front of the house. Encircled by carefully tended gardens, this venue provides a stage for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. Should you choose to celebrate in resplendent Illinois nature, you can arrange to seat up to 200 guests in the lush grass. The property also boasts an adjoining carriage house that additional members of your entourage can use for getting ready. These facilities can also be used as post-celebration lodgings for couples and their guests, with an overnight capacity of 12 guests maximum. A fully flexible venue, Havisham House offers wedding packages that include the entire rental of the property for the weekend of your celebration. The Havisham House was a DREAM. It was exactly the style that we were going for. Miss. Jerri is so generous and such a hard worker. She made our day so wonderful. I felt at such peace knowing that my Miss.Jerri would take care of our venue and that was one less thing on my checklist! If you want somewhere elegant for a great price, with tables and linens and chairs, and a house to stay in - this is THE place! The Havisham House truly is a special place.

An absolutely beautiful wedding venue! The main house and carriage house are decorated beautifully and have everything you need to feel at home. The pavilion is versatile whether you're having 30 guests or 200 guests.The owner was so accommodating and delightful to work with. Nothing was ever too much to ask and our questions were answered within hours! The venue exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it. Thank you for making our day extra special!

The Havisham House was absolutely incredible! The value, uniqueness and history behind the home pushed the venue over the top. Mrs. Shaefer whom we dealt with, took care of our every want and need without hesitation. Two of our favorite aspects of the venue is having both homes accessible to our bridal party. We had the men stay in one (Carriage House) and the women in the other which worked perfectly for the evening before the wedding. Being in the heart of Southern Illinois wine country our wedding guests got to experience some great wineries and food outside of the wedding festivities. The beauty of The Havisham House, inside and out, made for a perfect setting for our wedding photos.The Havisham homes really made our wedding weekend extra special and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

My husband and I had our small, intimate wedding here in the spring. Everything about it was perfect. We had planned to have our ceremony on the beautiful wrap-around porch, but the unpredictable southern Illinois had other plans. On the day of our wedding, while it was 40 degrees and hailing outside, we were still able to have the perfect ceremony inside in front of the beautiful windows. Our guests were then able to enjoy our reception by the warm fireplace. I would highly recommend Havisham House to anyone for their wedding, ceremony, honeymoon, or place for the bridal party to prepare. We were able to utilize it for all of the above, and it was perfect in everyway.

Jerri Schaefer (Owner) Welcome to Havisham House! I look forward to answering any questions and working with you along your engagement/marital journey. I have been married for over 20 years to my high school sweetheart and have three beautiful daughters. My degree and work experience is in public relations and marketing. Havisham House is my pride and joy. It is historic (built in 1892) and so very charming. My goal is for you to look back on your wedding venue choice with love and amazing memories.
