This peaceful pastoral setting is ideal for couples that want a secluded location, away from busy city life, to exchange their vows. It’s down-to-earth amenities combined with it’s attentive staff will make you and your guests feel right at home. Hayvn at Hay River is located just 10 minutes away from Menomonie, and an hour away from the Twin Cities area. Acres of rolling hills and breathtaking fields surround the main event space, a carefully restored barn that can accommodate up to 225 people. Inside the barn, couples will have two stories of floor space to enjoy, with an open-air balcony overlooking the picturesque grounds. The ground floor surrounds guests with exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and other rustic features to add charm to your special day. When you go upstairs, you’ll see a bright, airy setting for your ceremony or reception. Its dramatic vaulted ceiling and large high windows make for a stunning backdrop for your altar or photo sessions. The outdoor grounds and patio offer plenty of lush space for couples and their guests to enjoy the countryside view. Ample parking is available onsite, with wheelchair accessibility to make sure all your guests enjoy your big day. Hayvn at Hay River can accommodate an array of event types, from romantic elopements to grand receptions. You will have exclusive use to the grounds on your wedding day, to ensure that you have plenty of time to complete your dream design. Your vision will be the staff’s main priority, and they will work to make your celebration unforgettable.

All of our guests were raving about this venue! It was beautiful and spacious with a great view (I can't wait to see how our pictures turn out). The owners and staff were available to answer any and all questions we had every step of the way. The drive from the cities was super easy and convenient. 10/10 would recommend

We got married here in September and had the best day ever. This gorgeous venue allowed us to have our dream wedding while sticking to our budget. Our guests raved about this venue. The scenery is breathtaking. We feel like we found a hidden gem. Alexandra and Beth were very helpful. They gave us recommendations and were there to answer any questions we had throughout the planning process. Would highly recommend having your wedding here!!

We got married here in September and had the best day ever. This gorgeous venue allowed us to have our dream wedding while sticking to our budget. Our guests raved about this venue. The scenery is breathtaking. We feel like we found a hidden gem. Alexandra and Beth were very helpful. They gave us recommendations and were there to answer any questions we had throughout the planning process. Would highly recommend having your wedding here!!

Our daughter and Son in law researched to find this FANTASTIC Venue! We booked a viewing date in order to work on layout for the wedding. We brought our measuring tape and took photos so we could map out where everything would go. It took a bit of foresight to make sure we had everything we needed when we arrived as it was a 2 hour jaunt from where we live but an excel spreadsheet did the trick. The Barn was lovely and I will attach photos to show you how we laid things out. We had the head table, cake cutting area, tables for guests, a kid zone with kid tables & chairs we brought with us and activities for them, & can’t forget the dance floor area. The Indoor Upper Indoor Bar area was perfect for preparing beverages for the toast. As well as a great place to do cake cutting for our guests. They did just have the one fridge and I will say, this was the most stressful part for me as the mother of the bride. The caterers handled the dinner but we were in charge of keeping the cakes & appetizers cool. I looked into renting a refrigerated truck, but knew we also needed to rent a trailer. So I started to borrow coolers but it was a struggle finding ones big enough for the platters. After pondering for a bit on this came up with this - GOLDEN TIP: My Dad, Brother and Uncle took a trip to Home Depot and got their huge rubbermaid bins, we double packed large ziplock bags with ice and they worked GREAT! YAY! The lower level of the barn was a great place to put the bins that we needed for clean up after. The groomsman area was great and although a little small, it worked for the Groom and his 5 groomsmen. The Bridal suite area was perfect for our needs. We had the Bride, 5 bridesmaids and 7 flower girls so we brought extra table top mirrors with us and it all worked out well. (We did bring a power strip and some extra little white extension cords for curling irons). The outdoor bar area which is new is perfect for serving cocktails and there is a wall behind it with storage behind for coolers. There are only two bathrooms but we had about 120 guests and it worked out just fine. If you had a larger wedding you could always rent a restroom trailer which I have seen used and they are pretty great too. (They usually have 2-3 restrooms and they look like a hotel inside). They recently added a Fire Pit - (Which we brought firewood and made up a smores kit for after dinner.) The fire was blazing and gorgeous!! The Cocktail Hour Area had tables and lighting for our guests and we set up a popcorn bar in this area. The venue has corn hole sets which were perfect for guests to play during cocktail hour. Our Guests were blown away by the Venue and had a great time! Did I say the weather was perfect because it was PERFECT! I have to say, the staff were AMAZING to work with! They knew the stressors that planning and preparing for a wedding can have and were so accommodating to our questions. They were so patient and had everything ready for us when we arrived. We just gave them a diagram of the table layout we needed for the Dinner/ Reception area in the barn. The ceremony area is lovely. The white pews against the green grass and the field in the background with the arch to walk through made for a perfect setting. As our daughter had her dance with Daddy, she whispered in his ear, “This was the perfect day.” Thank you Beth and Alexandra and TEAM!! This venue is so gorgeous! It is such a calm and private space. My favorite part was leaving the dance with my new husband to look at the stars by the outside ceremony space, taking it all in. Beth and Alexandra are very easy to work with and so helpful. The challenges are lack of refrigeration. We went with a catering company that has worked there before and Beth and Alexandra helped give ideas of what other couples have done for the bar. The bridal suite is gorgeous and barn is beautiful by itself. Highly recommend this venue.

Absolutely LOVED Hayvn at Hay River!! It is such a beautiful venue. It was everything we were looking for plus so much more. Beth and Alexandra were always there if we had any questions at all and they were both super nice and very helpful. All of my guests loved the location and kept telling us just how beautiful it was! The bridal sweet was absolutely perfect for the bridesmaids and I. It was spacious, cute, and really just perfect. The groomsmen had their own little shack which was perfect for them as well. I couldn’t be more thankful for how wonderful our day was.

LOVED Hayvn at Hay River!!! It was the perfect venue for our wedding all day long. Super great getting ready areas, a GORGEOUS backdrop for the ceremony outdoors, lots of storage space underneath the barn, and the barn itself- STUNNING! Every guest commented how perfect this place was for our wedding. Alexandra and Beth were super responsive months prior and all weekend long! We are so thankful to have gotten married here. Can’t rave about this venue enough!!!!

Love love loves working with this venue. We originally had a covid date and had to postpone but still wanted to do something intimate that day, and they worked with us in moving out big date and still let us use it that day for a couple hours so we could have our private 10 person wedding. When our 2021 date rolled around they were always on top of things asking if we wanted to come out and measure anything and also met with us to discuss layout of everything! They were very helpful they set up all of our tables, and were available when ever we needed anything. They spruced up a lovely bridal suit with hair stations so it was a really nice big space to get ready. We got married outside where they have a permanent arch in the ground so we didn’t have to make one and it was really easy to decorate! Another thing I loved if they hired a security person who we loved, and that way they kept an eye on anyone or anything if they get to crazy, cause I really didn’t want my dad or someone to have to tend to those things. I loved this space, and all that it had to offer for our day. Nice spacious barn and property!

My fiance and I just looked at this place a few days ago and it is gorgeous. The view in the back is incredible, especially around sunset. The barn just glows. The owners were more than willing to help us create our vision. Love, love, LOVE this place!
