Hazeltine National Golf Club is a wedding venue located in Chaska, MN, just a short drive from Minneapolis. We got married at Hazeltine in July 2022 -- we could not recommend it enough!! It was the absolute perfect day. We had our ceremony at a church downtown so I was initially a bit worried about coordinating between the two venues and transporting our guests but Jan Hillius, the event coordinator and catering director at Hazeltine, was so amazing to work with, she made everything seem easy. Jan was so responsive to my questions and did an amazing job coordinating with all our vendors - including transportation company, florist, day of coordinator, band, DJ, photographers, etc. - everything went off without a hitch! Not to mention the brand outdoor patio was such an incredible spot for cocktail hour before dinner, all of our guests loved it. Our family and friends still talk about the food, drinks, staff, etc. - we could not recommend Hazeltine enough!

We had our wedding reception at Hazeltine this October and it was the perfect day! Jan was amazing and walked us through every step of the process and made it so easy for us to know exactly what was happening. We had to cancel and reschedule due to COVID and they were extremely understanding and helpful in finding a new date as well as making the reception run smoothly. The food was great and we had many compliments from all of our guests. The bridal getting ready room was perfectly set up for a fun experience and the guys loved using the golf simulator to keep them entertained for a few hours before the reception. The venue itself is set up perfectly for a cocktail hour and reception and looked amazing in pictures. We would highly recommend using them!

Jan is the BEST - she is so kind, worked so well with all of our vendors, had great suggestions, and was super responsive to all of our emails and questions. We had considered this venue for our wedding, but it was slightly out of our price range. However, I was amazed at how reasonably priced it was for a rehearsal dinner. When we toured this Hazeltine we knew immediately this was the place we wanted our wedding reception. We had our reception here this past summer and everything about it was amazing! The place is absolutely beautiful both outside for wedding pictures and inside for the reception. The staff were all extremely helpful during the reception and Jan, in particular, was extremely helpful in planning the event. Our guests had nothing but good comments on how much they loved the food. This is truly a beautiful place for a wedding and we would recommend Hazeltine to everyone.

We had our wedding at Hazeltine in September of 2021 and I can’t say enough good things about the venue!! First off, the facility is gorgeous as is and you don’t need a lot of decorations to make your event feel special. Second, the Staff was SO amazing to work with! Jan was awesome helping us plan for the big day and Jordan was the nicest most helpful person on staff! Thank you so much!! Jordan always went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and he was overall kind and truly cared!We also had our grooms dinner at Hazeltine the night before and the food for the wedding and Grooms dinner was fantastic! Overall- great facility, great staff, service and food! You will not be disappointed!

Words cannot express how great it was to have our wedding at Hazeltine! They were very flexible and accommodating during covid times allowing us to move dates, etc. Jan is amazing to work with and made sure we were taken care of at every step along the way. We had the pleasure of having 2 wedding events at this amazing venue. We had a small “micro wedding” ceremony in June 2020 and a larger wedding ceremony/celebration in June 2021. The staff always goes above and beyond what is asked of them and their attention to detail is outstanding. The venue is beautiful and there are great spots for photos outside. The food is amazing and we received so many compliments from our guests. On the day of our wedding, we felt we were treated like royalty. Look no further, have your wedding here!!

Jan and the Hazeltine team are incredible. My fiancé and I had our heart set on Hazeltine from the very beginning on our wedding planning process and they did not disappoint. I was impressed with Hazeltine BEFORE Covid. However they proved themselves even more reliable and easy to work with even during a pandemic. My, now husband, and I decided to postpone from May 2020 until September 2020. Jan was so so easy to work with. Very accommodating and thorough. What a crazy time to get married but on our wedding day, everything was perfect. I’m not exaggerating when I say, our wedding exceeded my expectations even without a pandemic!! Thank you Jan. We had our wedding on NYE at Hazletine and it was so perfect! The decorations they had up already for Christmas were gorgeous, the food was fantastic, and Jan the coordinator was awesome to work with. They were very accommodating and Jan was very responsive. I would definitely recommend this venue, especially for a bigger wedding since most venues in the area cannot hold more than 250 people (Hazletine can hold up to 350).

My Husband and I chose to have our reception at Hazeltine and we were not disappointed. The staff were attentive, the ballroom was gorgeous, and the food was delicious. Jan was extremely responsive and helpful to my million questions throughout the whole planning process. Some vendors recommendations that we used were Christina Marie Floral and Illuminations by Lori Cole, both local vendors that made our reception look STUNNING at an affordable price. Hazeltine is also pretty affordable when comparing to other ballrooms or barns. The whole day was absolutely perfect and could not have gone better, a huge of which was contributed by Hazeltine, Jan, and vendors.

Hazeltine is also pretty affordable when comparing to other ballrooms or barns. The whole day was absolutely perfect and could not have gone better, a huge of which was contributed by Hazeltine, Jan, and vendors.

Hazeltine was the perfect place to get married! The space is enormous, the staff is attentive, and Jan K. and her team are a dream to work with. From meeting to us the day before, to helping me get a better handle on all of the meal choices and seating arrangements, she is amazing. The food is unreal as well! With tons of options and so many choices from the in-house executive Chef/menu, you will be happy with what you can do there for your wedding reception! Not to mention, it is delicious. The option for the outdoor bar and fire place/heat lamp setup added a really great, late fall touch to our cocktail hour. We are so thankful for such an amazing venue for our big day!

Jan Knudtson was fantastic- she was quickly responsive to all of our questions, incredibly detail-oriented, and very helpful. She even dealt wonderfully with my crazy mom!! The space itself was fantastic: we utilized both their indoor and outdoor spaces for different parts of our event. Somehow we fit 350 guests in there, and nothing felt crammed!. And our guests gave us so many compliments on our plated dinner- and we have picky, hipster foodie friends. Our pictures turned out amazing- there are some fantastic places on the course to take photos. Seriously, every aspect of the venue was killer. I can't imagine our big day anywhere else!

Our wedding in July at HNGC was fantastic. From our very first correspondence, Jan (event coordinator) was wonderful to work with; very responsive and accommodating! The staff day-of was so on top of everything and friendly. The setting was beautiful and worked extremely well logistically. We utilized the bridal suite and the learning center to get ready. I manage large jobs for a living, which cost substantially more than my wedding, and this venue was able to meet my strict communication requirements and really helped to execute a beautiful evening.

Jan was our event planner and coordinator. She is thorough and attentive to detail. She ensured everything we envisioned for our wedding took place by allowing us to provide input and participate from everything from food selection to table arrangements. The day of the wedding, Jan, Andy (the event manager that day), and the staff had everything perfectly set up and ready to go by the time the bridal party arrived. This especially had a positive impact and made an impression given I can be very meticulous! The food was incredible (Eric is an excellent chef), and we received many compliments from guests about how enjoyable our reception was. We had 270 guests, and the size of the ballroom allowed for everyone to sit comfortably. Overall, Hazeltine greatly exceeded our expectations and we were very thankful to be able to celebrate our wedding at the location we met!

Also, I'm not usually a huge fan of wedding food, but could not believe how incredible their food was! We recieved so many compliments on the boneless sous vide beef short ribs, and the chicken was awesome too! Numerous people told us it was the best wedding food they had ever had. \r\rJan Knudtson is the coordinator at Hazeltine, and I cannot say enough good things about her!! She is extremely responsive, very friendly and easy to work with, and full of amazing ideas/suggestions!! She met with us multiple times before the wedding and always left us feeling at ease. Jan cearly planned out all of the details for the day, and after the wedding one of the best things that I told people about our day was how relaxed I was and how well planned everything had been thanks to Jan! Hazeltine has a bridal suite available right next to the reception room that we were able to use to get ready (with the fee waived for a very reasonable food/bev min). We were able to have hair/makeup come to us, and Hazeltine provided food and beverages throughout the morning which made for a very relaxed day. They also have a rec room available with a golf simulator/tvs/etc. that my fiance used with his groomsman. If you are looking for a beautiful location with friendly people who will help you plan everything every step of the way, I would highly recommend Hazeltine (and Jan)!!

The Club is beautiful! The only reason we did not use them is because they do not have an option for an outdoor ceremony. On the upside, there are multiple hotels nearby for guests to stay, it is reasonably priced and you can have your dog in the wedding!

Jan was great to work with - she was open to new ideas and provided insight into how our day should be when we asked her advice. She was very responsive via email, which was SUPER helpful when you're planning while working. Jan was also there during set-up ensuring all the details were covered.\r\rWe had a few slight execution issues occur during our night. You could count them on less than one hand - grand room reveal was done early prior to the bridal party's arrival, bars were closed down between cocktail hour & dinner service twice and we were bummed to find out we couldn't take our left over paid meals home (from guests who didn't make it). We also had to ask for our cake top back in the kitchen at the end of the night. These were all small issues in the grand scheme of things.\r\rWe still loved our decision to go with Hazeltine despite the small execution issues (no one is perfect!). We would recommend the venue to anyone!\r\rPS - the bridal suite rental with bridal luncheon was worth every penny to have my own bathroom and place to store our things during the day/night!

We absolutely LOVED having our reception at Hazeltine. We received nothing but great comments on how clean & beautiful venue were... not to mention the food was the best wedding food they've ever had! The newly remodeled club house and ballroom are beautiful, modern, clean and neutral, which is what attracted us to this space. \r\rDuring our planning process, the event manager retired, and we started working with Jan, who was open to new ideas and accomodating. Overall we were happy with everything until our actual wedding day. The service at the bars was underwhelming at best. We had very slow service and it seemed like the bartenders were consistently running behind and scrambling. We noticed multiple times when there was only one bartender working, and sometimes the bar was completely empty, with a line of guests waiting to be served. After witnessing this and overhearing people complaining, my dad found the bartender and expressed his concerns and asked that they be resolved immediately, which unfortunately did not happen. On top of bad service, our bill was incorrect and had it not been for us questioning it, we would have paid nearly two thousand dollars extra (we later found out one bartender was charging us for bottles instead of glasses of wine, resulting in a major miscount...and we were told that bartender was fired). In addition, we had to wait weeks to get adequate explanations/responses, and have little confidence that our final bill was accurate and not simply a guesstimate by the staff trying to cover their bases.\r\rThe staff had been a pleasure to work with up until our wedding day, which is why we were so disappointed that our expectations were not met. \r\rAfter going through this experience, I would unfortunately never be able to recommend Hazeltine to anyone I know. Maybe members are treated with a higher level of professionalism and care?\r\rIf you do go with Hazeltine, I suggest requesting that the event manager who you have been working with on all the details for months is there on the wedding day to ensure everything goes smoothly. We feel this definitely would have made a difference.

Hazeltine has just renovated there whole clubhouse and it is GORGEOUS! Linda the woman who handles all weddings is AMAZING! She is very helpful and saved us some money. You can tell she has been doing weddings for a long time. My reception was everything I dreamed it would be!

Awesome service, attention to detail in a lovely new space. Highly recommend. Food was fantastic and we had many, many compliments from guests on the food selection. We did a plated dinner pork chop. The pre-function space we used for cocktail hour that was perfect with large windows, then later had pizza out there. The patio looks small, but is great size for guests to mingle and many did outside on the lovely evening. Service is of highest standard, and you will not be disappointed. They book a long time out, unless there happens to be a cancellation and you can jump in there, that's what we did. Cost is dependent on guest count & alcohol consumption, so price will vary. Your guests will have a wonderful experience at Hazeltine.

We couldn't have been happier with our wedding at Hazeltine! Linda is fabulous to work with, she is extremely knowledgeable and super helpful---she made sure everything was as it should be for our big day! The staff was very friendly, helpful and so accommodating---before we could even ask for something it was in our hands. Eric, the chef is simply outstanding! You will NOT find better food anywhere in the Minneapolis area (We served a delicious stuffed chicken and a veggie ravioli for dinner, with a late night pizza and homemade potato chips that were a huge hit!). It was well worth the investment and our day could not have been better...I have heard from so many guests it was the \"Best Wedding Ever!\" and I truly believe it...

Jan Hillius (Director of Catering) I got my start in the industry way back in high school as a server, and now love working with couples to plan their wedding day. I've helped hundreds of couples and had requests for everything from rustic farm-themed receptions, to glamorous New Year's Eve parties, and everything in between. My favorite part of being in this industry is getting to know the couples, their families, and having fun in the planning process.
