Located in Winter Park, CO, Headwaters Center is a classic barn wedding venue. This scenic riverside property invites couples to celebrate indoors and out. The stylish barn and adjoining terrace set the stage for charming country events. Guests can soak in sights of the Rocky Mountains as couples mark their amazing milestones. From the ceremony to the reception, soon-to-be-weds can plan their special day in one convenient place. Headwaters Center offers two dynamic settings for holding memorable events. The outdoor terrace features a gorgeous natural backdrop. This inspiring setting is ideal for both ceremonies and cocktail hours. With over 5,000 square feet of space, couples can let loose with the guest list. There is plenty of room for their nearest and dearest to watch as they utter their "I do's." With Fraser River and the Rocky Mountains in the background, there is an unmatchable sense of wonder. The venue's enchanting natural surroundings give celebrations a sense of privacy. For the reception, couples can combine the terrace with the traditional timber barn. This 4,400-square-foot building is brimming with possibilities. The newlyweds-to-be are free to put their stamp on the celebrations with custom rentals and decor. With polished wood all around, the space feels warm and intimate. Antique chandeliers cast a soft glow from above for a romantic first dance. As the festivities begin to heat up, floor-to-ceiling barn doors open onto the terrace. The newlyweds can steal a quiet moment together watching the sunset in the distance. The venue is kitted out with a state-of-the-art caterer's kitchen. Your chosen food vendor will be more than welcome to make use of this sleek space. If you're not a local, the events team at the venue is able to accommodate destination weddings. They also offer bar services for a spirited event. The property's friendly staff will be on hand to pour delicious drinks and tend to guests' needs. The venue has a capacity for events of 200 guests.

We had our wedding at the Headwaters Center in August 2021 and we truly can’t say enough wonderful things about this venue! Not only are the building and surroundings absolutely stunning (reclaimed barn, amazing patio, mountains, rivers, pine trees, amphitheater), but the staff are all so incredible as well. Our wedding was one of the first to be affected by the COVID pandemic, with our original date in April 2020, initially postponed to August 2020, and finally happening in August 2021. We worked with Samantha, Ellen, and Marissa, and throughout all the uncertainty, stress and panic of postponing multiple times, they were all so kind, accommodating, professional, and patient. Once our day (finally) arrived, Ellen and Marissa were fantastic support, jumping in to help with set up, bartending, and anything else you could imagine. We also really loved that the Headwaters Center completely handled the bar/bartenders (less stress on us, and the bartenders were awesome!), provided/set up/tore down all chairs/tables/linens (both for the ceremony and reception), and allowed us to have our rehearsal on site the day before. Having lodging options nearby for our guests was also important to us and being right in downtown Winter Park, the Headwaters Center certainly met that mark, as well. Again, we could not more highly recommend this amazing venue!

We had our wedding at the Headwaters Center in August 2021 and we truly can’t say enough wonderful things about this venue! Not only are the building and surroundings absolutely stunning (reclaimed barn, amazing patio, mountains, rivers, pine trees, amphitheater), but the staff are all so incredible as well. Brittany and Lisa at Headwaters Center were a joy to work with. We asked a lot of questions and they were very patient and helpful with all of them. From the initial tour to the day-of, they were thoughtful with all details and logistics. We appreciated the transparent pricing and that the venue came with bar services, tables, chairs, linens, etc. We were able to focus much of our attention on other vendors like catering, DJ, and photography. Most of our vendors came from their preferred list, which was very helpful! The venue itself is gorgeous and spacious and located in beautiful Winter Park. Our guests loved how close it was to accommodations, restaurants, bars, and recreational activities. Choose HWC if you want a mountain wedding with easy logistics. Lisa and Brittany are professional, easy going, organized, helpful, and just AMAZING!!! I had been in contact with Lisa for a few weeks prior to our tour of the venue, and she was a large part of why we said \"yes\" to HWC. Lisa and Brittany answered all of my questions quickly, no matter how silly, and are very detail oriented. They made our day so seamless and perfect. If you're a Bride or Groom, HWC was a perfect place to get married. Transportation was no hassle, the space worked great. There are BEAUTIFUL photo opportunities around the space (check out the pond). It's very accessible. Also, we just walked across the street for our after party at Winter Park Pub. Our Airbnb was just down the street. It was perfect logistically and everyone had fun. Thank you sosososo much Lisa and Brittany for being THE BEST!!!!

Lisa and Brittany at Headwaters Center were wonderful to work with! I abruptly had to change my reception venue and they were quick to save the day but confirming my date was open and walking me through the process of how to proceed with everything from beverages to venue layout to logistics with the caterer and DJ. The venue was so beautiful, I did not have to spend extra money on decorations. My guests are still talking about the views and the ease of access. My caterer even mentioned how much his team loves to work at Headwaters. Planning another wedding might be the death of me, but if I had to- I would choose Headwaters Center every time.

Headwaters was an amazing venue, not only for the gorgeous high ceilings with modern interior vibes, but the events managers were responsive and so tentative, especially the day of. Everything was perfect and you can have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one.

We had our wedding at headwaters and I cannot say enough good things about Lisa, Brittany and the staff at Headwaters. I actually am really going to miss talking to them now that our wedding is over. They were BEYOND accommodating during the entire 1.5 years of wedding planning. And the venue… spectacular. I honestly don’t think there’s a better venue in Colorado than this. It is a perfect mix of rustic barn while also having a wrap around deck that guests got to hangout outside and view the mountains from. If you are considering having your wedding here, you will not be disappointed!!

This venue is beautiful and perfect for what I needed!! I was an out of state bride (from Ohio) with about 50 guests coming and the day of was perfect!! Unfortunately, it did rain on my day.. but we were able to open the barn doors for my cocktail hour and still felt outside for it. The bar service was awesome, and our photos on site- BREATHE TAKING!!! Appreciative of everything Brittany and Lisa did for me, even if it was answering a silly question over email!

I cannot recommend Headwaters enough. Lisa, Brittany, and team were so easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our big day. The inside of this building is so stunning and a perfect backdrop to make it whatever you want. Their bartending staff did a great job making our signature drinks and keeping things moving quickly and smoothly all night. Highly recommend - plus your venue fee helps contribute to water conservation. Can't beat that!

We absolutely loved that Headwaters is a nonprofit that works on water conservation and the venue fees go towards supporting their mission. Our day was seamless. My one suggestion is to ask about the end time when signing your contract. Brittany and Lisa helped us update our end time without any issue as we got close to the wedding - we just weren’t clear on the standard time guests must be out of the venue. Overall, it didn’t not detract from our experience and we still highly recommend Headwaters!

Lisa/Brittney at the Headwaters Event Center were absolutely wonderful! Over the past 9 months, Lisa has been readily available to answer all of our questions and ease our concerns. Both she and Brittney were present during My Daughter's entire wedding/reception etc...I would HIGHLY recommend this venue as it was BEAUTIFUL inside and outside and the wedding was absolutely as perfect as it could be. I thank Lisa/Brittney and their staff from the bottom on my heart for everything they did for My Daughter, New Son and our families.

The Headwaters Center is an awesome venue with beautiful indoor and outdoor space to host an incredible wedding. The views from the balcony are breathtaking and the indoor space is beautifully designed with rustic but modern wood, barn doors, and chandeliers. Our event coordinator, Lisa Horton, was amazing to work with and made our reception flow perfectly without any issues. I would highly recommend working with her! Thank you so much, Lisa!

The Headwaters Center is a stunning venue and perfectly equipped to host the wedding or reception of your dreams. The staff – particularly Lisa Horton – were terrific to work with and flexible to our somewhat unique requests. Lisa is very organized, easy to communicate with, and truly went out of her way before, during, and after the event to ensure our big day ran smoothly and that every guest and vendor was taken care of. The interior of the Headwaters Center is the perfect blend of rustic warmth and modern functionality - and the mountain views are absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend the Headwaters Center if you are looking for a venue to host a mountain wedding at a more reasonable price than other CO options.

The Headwaters Center is a stunning venue and perfectly equipped to host the wedding or reception of your dreams. The staff – particularly Lisa Horton – were terrific to work with and flexible to our somewhat unique requests. Lisa is very organized, easy to communicate with, and truly went out of her way before, during, and after the event to ensure our big day ran smoothly and that every guest and vendor was taken care of. The interior of the Headwaters Center is the perfect blend of rustic warmth and modern functionality - and the mountain views are absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend the Headwaters Center if you are looking for a venue to host a mountain wedding at a more reasonable price than other CO options.

The Headwaters Center was an absolute dream wedding venue. Lisa, the events manager was a gem to work with. She and her team, as well as my coordinator, Melanie, with Rocky Mountain Wed, made the day go off without a hitch. We chose this venue because of the location, but also because they allowed us to choose our caterer. We wanted Tajik food because my husband is from Tajikistan, so it was important to us to find our own catering company. Also, we loved that it is a non-profit water education center. Both my fiance and I work in the natural resources sector so being able to have our wedding at a venue that was natural resources minded and sustainable was important to us. I highly recommend this venue! Such a great experience. The weather was great, the big barn doors were a nice touch, and the rustic vibe is perfect for any mountain wedding. We selected Headwater Journey Center as our wedding for the ceremony & reception. It was truly a the perfect venue for our dream wedding and it was all thanks to Lisa & her amazing staff at Headwaters. The process leading up to the big day could not be smoother especially working with Lisa. Any questions we had, she responded almost immediately and was a joy to work with. The day of the wedding, Lisa and her staff were on top of everything and knew exactly what we wanted and where. They were able to adjust quickly on a couple last minute changes without hesitancy. During the wedding was the same story. Lisa & her team were around for anything we needed or any changes that needed to be done. Lisa even went out of her way to bring me water 2 minutes before the ceremony started!And the end of the night the teardown could not have gone any better. Headwater Center was the perfect venue for our wedding and the staff made it that much better! I would 100% recommend this venue for anyone looking to have a gorgeous mountain wedding!

My husband and I were planning our wedding from AZ and needed a venue is CO. When I first started looking I was working with Ellen, she was amazing and answered all my questions very clearly!! Ellen left a few months after I started working with her and Marissa was the new event manager. We had our rehearsal dinner on a Friday evening at Headwaters. Overall, they were great to work with. They were super responsive and extremely organized which was much appreciated. Only thing I’d note is that street traffic of cars driving by can be heard inside the venue when the barn doors are open. We played a video during our rehearsal dinner and the street noise made it a little hard to hear the video - but could’ve been easily avoided by us using our own audio system (we had used their speakers turned to the loudest setting but still wasn’t very loud) or closing the barn doors. Overall, highly recommend this venue. Gorgeous, spacious, friendly staff, and very well kept.

This venue was perfect! The staff was professional and friendly. Everything went as planning and it could not have gone more smoothly. The staff from the venue coordinated with our vendors without us having to worry about details. We received so many compliments from our guests on our choice of venue! One dramatic moment was when they opened the huge barn doors for dinner to invite everyone in. Our guests were so impressed by the sweeping views of the mountains and fresh air both during the lawn for the ceremony and inside for the reception. We even had a double rainbow over the mountains after dinner! (although I don't think Headwaters staff had much to do with that :) )

The Headwaters Center is an absolutely beautiful venue in a beautiful setting! What a find! The guests were wowed by the barn itself and the views of the mountain range when the barn doors were opened were stunning. The only thing more amazing than the venue, was Ellen and her staff. From the very beginning, Ellen was responsive, flexible and accommodating to every need that came up. She was present the entire evening and several wedding guests commented on how much she seemed to enjoy her job. This was my 3rd daughter to get married, and I have never experienced a venue coordinator who work so hard to create the perfect evening. It couldn't have been better! Thank you!

Headwaters is an incredible hidden gem, although I doubt it will stay hidden for much longer! The facility is centrally located in Winter Park, making it extremely easy for guests to stay close by, and also cuts out the need for a shuttle after the wedding. The building itself is gorgeous on the inside, with grand chandeliers and beautiful ambiance. The view with the barn doors open was spectacular, our guests could not stop talking about the wow factor of the view. They can easily host a ceremony and reception in the barn, or outside. The staff is well versed in how to accomodate events, and they were easy to work with. Not to mention Headwaters is providing their venue at services at such a reasonable rate compared to many other wedding venues in CO. I cannot recommend this place enough!
