Heidi’s was fantastic. We worked with Jillian and she and the company made our vision for food happen. They do tasting events where you go and see their show room, along with trying out some of their specialties. This helped us finalize everything and was a great experience. The day of our wedding the staff were AMAZING! Erik was tasked with being our guy and he made sure are hands were never empty.

Heidi's was apart of an inclusive package with our wedding venue. We were given menu options via an electronic pamphlet for a plated or buffet dinner. There was also a tasting included in our package, so my husband and I were able to spend an afternoon at their storefront and enjoy some of their menu options. In our package we received 3 hand passed appetizers, and a salad, two entrees, and two sides for our dinner buffet. There were options to upgrade certain areas (we added a fruit and cheese display for cocktail hour). We also chose to do our desserts through Heidi's. We had an assortment of desserts like lemon bars, cookies and milk, chocolate covered strawberries, etc. We also had pans of cobbler and ice cream. The food was OUTSTANDING. Both my husband and I, as well as our guests could not stop talking about how great everything was. The service was also very good. Meagan, our event coordinator, was very responsive to emails and always suggested hopping on a quick phone call to work out any details and questions we had. We had a finalization meeting about 2 weeks prior to the event where we reviewed all of the selections and details. The day of staff was also incredible! The servers were extremely attentive to my husband and I and had appetizers and water ready for us as we were signing our marriage license and taking photos. They even made us our own plates as we did our grand entrance so we could begin eating right away and get started on our mingling quicker. They were all so kind and made sure we were well fed and happy throughout the day! We even received a big chafing dish of dinner leftovers in our bridal suite to take home that night!

The rating “pretty good” is exactly how I would describe my feelings after working with Heidis's Events and Catering for over a year and a half. First and foremost, I want to clarify that my review of this business is purely coming from a place of wanting to give an honest and open review of my experience because I wished that I had, had this information before making the decision to hire this vendor. I spent hours researching all my vendors and hoped that I was making the best-informed decisions at the time.My husband and I knew from day one we wanted to serve pizza as our main dish for our wedding. Due to our wedding venue's limitations, we had to choose a vendor from their preferred list. To be honest, Heidis was the only vendor that served pizza. But based on the reviews it appeared as though it would be a good choice.The first initial consultation over the phone with their head coordinator was fantastic, Sammy was real, honest and so willing to make our unique food dreams come true. Because of COVID, we had never had a tasting with Heidis before booking but based on reviews we were willing to take the chance.Come 2021, we finally got to go to a group tasting and the food was delicious! Shortly after, I met with the head coordinator to discuss layouts, dishes etc.. and that meeting was so helpful and probably the easiest part of that week! Due to COVID, our guest count was 50% less than what we originally planned. With that in mind, the coordinator presented to us a total bill of almost the same amount as our original bill but with less food more staff. My husband and I do not have any knowledge of catering or staffing a dinner so we trusted the expert that if she said we needed additional staff then we did. However, looking back on it, that additional staff were not necessary and it felt as though Heidis wanted to keep our original bill amount the same as before so they just added more staff. Additionally, three days before our wedding, I received an email from Sammy with a breakdown of how much \"we should be tipping\". This seemed odd to me, my husband, and our married friends. Contacting the bride three days before her wedding about gratuity when the job has not even been done and on top of that the gratuity was based on our total bill, not just the wait staff. And after doing some deeper review of our contract, even the lowest-paid servers from Heidi's crew, and without a tip, make $35/hr. So my groom and I put that concern aside to enjoy our wedding day and would be making a clearer decision on tipping after the wedding was over and the job was done.Day of our wedding, the food was set up beautifully, on time and everything we had discussed was there. However, the pesto chicken we had, had at the tasting was different and my guests did remark that some of the pizza was cold, however; overall the food was well done. Less than 24 hours after we wed, we were on a flight out of the country for our honeymoon and I received another email from Heidi's regarding the \"missing tip\". So here is my takeaway from my experience with Heidi's catering based on my experience alone. The food is decent, and the service is great. However, the feeling we got that this company was hoping you don't pay too close of attention to the details does not feel ethically or morally right.

It was wonderful to work with them! The whole time communication was great, let you know about everything happening all of the options, and responded quickly. At the wedding they took care of everything. The personal attendant to the bride and groom is a luxury turned necessity I did not know was needed. But it was lovely and made sure we actually ate and got some of our food!! They even were there for us and the bridal party right after the ceremony was done with water and items from cocktail hour. Oh and I haven't even mentioned yet how simple they made it to have an entirely vegan menu. It was beyond delicious and our family members could not complain. They would not have even guessed it was vegan if they weren't told! Better yet while making the menu I never felt that things were limited because of our diet. To be honest we did not even have solid ideas of what we wanted, we just knew the style of food. They did the rest and thought of the greatest menu that fit together so well.

I got compliments from everyone about how yummy the food was. We went with their buffet style, Italian option. It was so yummy. They served us, the bride & groom and then guests went through the buffet. We added on the trash service which I thought was definitely worth it because we didn't have to worry about much. They were so tentative and so gracious. Highly suggest.

Jillian was a joy to work with. We met her at a wedding expo and she was so friendly and informative. It was a coincidence that Heidi's also happened to be on our venue's, Val Vista Lakes, preferred vendor list.We found it difficult to pick a caterer as many of them didn't do tastings before booking but we felt positive about Heidi's based on the reputation and recommendation from our venue. It also helped that Jillian was so responsive in getting us a quote and showing all of the options that were available for the menu and rentals. Also, because they had already worked at our venue we knew that there would be less issues on the day of.We ended up using Heidi's for our reception buffet and linen rental and had other vendors for our cocktail hour, bar service, and dessert. Heidi's staff were great with setting up our reception area and our DIY'ed centerpieces. They also worked well with the rest of our vendors.The food was delicious and the service was polite and quick with serving and clearing plates. They were able to serve 162 guests with a plated salad at the start of the reception and then we released tables for a buffet. It took about 30 minutes for all the tables go through the buffet line. We also requested separate vegan meals for 7 guests. They were supposed to be table served but I think there was a communication error and those guests had to ask for the vegan option at the buffet except some of those guests didn't know that we ordered them special meals.Overall, our guests had a great experience and we were glad that Heidi's was able to participate in such a great day with us.

Heidi's Catering was definitely the right choice for our wedding. From the very beginning we were blown away with the menu, tastings and overall professionalism of Heidi's and their staff. The service and food during the actual ceremony was top notch with Heidi's staff executing on all levels. We used Heidis to cater a large joint baby shower at The Boojum Tree. I worked with Jillian over the phone and via email from Chicago, and she was super helpful. I had never planned anything like this before and she helped me have my ideas come to life. Day of the shower, the staff showed up on time and were extremely friendly and available (but not overbearing). And most importantly, the food was delicious! We had a lot of different small bites and everything was great, the right temperature, and they provided really great table décor that fit with our theme! I would highly recommend!

First of all, let me start by saying that the service the night of our wedding was great. All three servers were phenomenal and very attentive to our guests. The food was surprisingly yummy and the staff was all extremely friendly, we couldn't have asked for better.That being said, the service and coordination leading up to the wedding was definitely lacking and made both myself and my husband have feel very little confidence when it came to our catering. We purchased a wedding package with our venue and so our only option was to go with Heidi’s. I didn't mind this so much (although my brother-in-law had used them for his wedding and warned us that they felt very “budget shamed” when they didn't upgrade their food or rent chair covers for their venue), until we went in for our group tasting. On each table for the tasting it was labeled with the couple’s name and whether or not they had a package. It was extremely evident that those who had already purchased a package were not being given the same amount of attention as those who were prospects. Our waitress spent very little time with us, our table was crazy wobbly so our drinks kept getting spilled and we waited almost 20 minutes for silverware. Additionally, much of the food available to taste was all upgradable items you had to pay an additional fee for- there were very few things we got to taste which came standard with our package.Our main contact with the company was difficult to get ahold of and took quite a long time to respond to questions we had. We were given one menu to choose from, then a few months before our wedding this menu was changed and items available to us were significantly decreased (everything we had wanted to choose for our menu was no longer available- very frustrating!). I was given multiple conflicting answers as to what they were going to be served, and even down to our final day she seemed confused as to which dish would be available to them as a gluten free option. In fact, our entire menu finalization meeting was extremely aggravating because she didn't even come out to greet me until 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment time and I could hear her gossiping with a coworker for this entire time just on the other side of the wall. When I did finally get to sit down with her I was really frustrated that she hadn't even bothered to print out or look over the entire questionnaire I had filled out and sent to her weeks prior, so we sat there for upwards of an hour going through every detail that I had already covered emails before. I even had to keep telling her “per my questionnaire” as I knew she hadn't even read it.All in all the day of service was fine, but my advice to Heidi’s is to step up the customer service game on the tasting and coordinating side of things. If we weren't required to use this company with our wedding package, I would have gone elsewhere.

First of all, let me start by saying that the service the night of our wedding was great. All three servers were phenomenal and very attentive to our guests. The food was surprisingly yummy and the staff was all extremely friendly, we couldn't have asked for better.That being said, the service and coordination leading up to the wedding was definitely lacking and made both myself and my husband have feel very little confidence when it came to our catering. We purchased a wedding package with our venue and so our only option was to go with Heidi’s. I didn't mind this so much (although my brother-in-law had used them for his wedding and warned us that they felt very “budget shamed” when they didn't upgrade their food or rent chair covers for their venue), until we went in for our group tasting. On each table for the tasting it was labeled with the couple’s name and whether or not they had a package. It was extremely evident that those who had already purchased a package were not being given the same amount of attention as those who were prospects. Our waitress spent very little time with us, our table was crazy wobbly so our drinks kept getting spilled and we waited almost 20 minutes for silverware. Additionally, much of the food available to taste was all upgradable items you had to pay an additional fee for- there were very few things we got to taste which came standard with our package.Our main contact with the company was difficult to get ahold of and took quite a long time to respond to questions we had. The food was fantastic and our guests were very pleased. The chef and banquet staff went above and to beyond to help ensure guests with food allergies or special meals were well taken care of and informed about the menu.

We had a great experience with Heidi's! We decided to do buffet style, and it was a hit! The food was super fresh and tasted delicious! The appetizers were amazing as well (especially the deviled eggs). The best part though, was the pizookie station! They were able to have freshly baked cookies with ice cream on top for a dessert. Our guests loved it. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
