Waterfront Weddings at Herrington on the Bay
Located in North Beach, MD, Herrington on the Bay is a banquet hall venue with an eco-lifestyle aesthetic. Ideal for couples seeking a wedding destination with plenty of natural biodiversity, the grounds of this establishment are diligently kept. Upon arrival, the beauty of this venue becomes apparent. Visitors will be greeted with sights of gardens, lawns, private beaches, and waterfront accommodations. A local getaway, Herrington on the Bay is a true treat for the eye. After approximately three decades of hosting weddings, the staff at Herrington on the Bay has perfected their approach. Capitalizing on the gorgeous Chesapeake Bay views, the architecture of the property is situated to showcase the natural beauty of the land. There are two waterfront event locations and a rustic barn available for rental. The Herrington Yacht Club can host up to 170 guests and features both harbor and garden views. Alternatively, the Paradise Ballroom holds a capacity of 350 individuals and benefits from private access. Outside, a tent can be erected, inclusive of carpeting, a chandelier, and elegant draping. The barn, originally used for tobacco cultivation, is suitable for 150 guests. Farm tables and cross-back chairs are both included in barn rentals. No matter which space you choose, you can benefit from all-inclusive pricing. For receptions at any of these locations, on-site chefs can provide farm-to-table dishes in a wide range of varieties, including gluten-free and vegan. Once the celebrations have drawn to a close, there are plenty of overnight accommodations available at Herrington on the Bay. Home to its very own inn, the lodging is near all of the presented venue options. Each room is luxuriously fitted, and a full row of suites boasts exquisite lawn views. Along with a private beach, the inn allows access to recreational water spot equipment, including paddleboards and kayaks. On the morning after the wedding, couples are invited to host a send-off brunch, catered and cared for by this venueâs dedicated staff. My husband and I could not recommend Herrington on the Bay enough. From our first encounter with them to our wedding everything was more than we could imagine. We actually made the decision to book a venue before getting engaged because we wanted to get married on a specific date (12.31.23), I started reaching out to MD venues to see who was open during the winter, HTOB got back to me within the hour of my inquiry. When we went to look at the venue, we were greeted with beverages and appetizers. All of the staff we worked with wee amazing and extremely professional. Our day off coordinator, Melissa was absolutely fantastic. From our last planning meeting together to making everything run smoothly on our big day she was the best. Melissa, was extremely responsive even on off hours and was on top of everything. Itâs been two weeks since our big day and we are still getting compliments from our guests on the wedding and the staff and how great the evening turned out. If you want to surprise your guests with something they wonât forget, opt in for the wow experience. The fireworks were the hit of the night and were better than we expected. Scott and I highly recommend Herrington on the Bay for your wedding, you wonât regret it!

Teresa was extremely well-prepared and organized throughout the entire process - from our initial meeting to the day of the wedding, Amber and Teresa was attentive to all the details and made sure everything went smoothly. They left no stone unturned when it came to the details and timeline for our wedding day. Katie made sure that everything was perfect for the ceremony and reception. She coordinated the set-up, the vendor arrival and the wedding party. I don't know what I would have done without her. THANKS KATIE!Teresa held my hand throughout the entire planning process. I'm sure I probably got on her nerves with the may calls and text messages, but she never failed to answer or return my calls in a timely manner. Taresa was our wedding coordinator and I now consider her a friend. She was ALWAYS there for me and we knew that we could trust her with our wedding. Katie was our day off and I couldnât say enough great things about them as a team. Every time I needed something, no matter what time, they were there and made it happen. Our wedding was an absolute dream, even with the weather circumstances, and I would highly recommend Herrington on the bay, and the âKatie + Taresa teamâ to anyone. Their professionalism & presentation were so exciting that we booked the same day!I can't rave enough about how helpful and considerate the HOTB team has been throughout the planning process. They are detail oriented, very responsive and really focused on providing an amazing guest experience. They may be a tad on the pricier side but I promise they are worth every penny! My guests are still calling in to tell us about how amazing the wedding experience was, how beautiful the venue is and the excellent service of the staff. Where to begin. Not only is Herrington on the Bay a picturesque wedding venue, but the staff was absolutely incredible to work with from the very beginning. Lexy, our venue planner, was a gem of a human. She responded to my many emails in a timely fashion, was extremely helpful, and also just the nicest person. Amber, our day of coordinator, was literally sprinting around on our wedding day to make sure everything was running smoothly - she even helped my bridesmaids bustle my dress. Not to mention - it ended up pouring rain on our wedding day, and somehow everything still went off (outdoors!) without a hitch. It was seriously the most perfect day, and we cannot thank the staff enough. Special shout out to Caitlyn, who was our personal attendant on our wedding day. It was her first night as a personal attendant, and she handled it with ease. We could not recommend Herrington enough.

The easiest 'yes' and least stressful decision you'll make throughout your wedding planning. Not only is HOTB - Paradise Ballroom - a beautiful venue that needs literally no 'extras', the staff is top notch in all aspects. Taresa not only facilitated with making planning so easy but was genuinely kind and caring throughout the entire process. I gave her my vision and she made it happen. We never saw the venue prior to booking or did any food tastings but we're confident the venue would deliver an outstanding product based on their level of professionalism, transparency, personal and internet reviews. HOTB 100% exceeded our expectations. Amber was our day of coordinator and ensured she communicated with me the days leading up to the wedding to continue to make certain nothing slipped through the cracks. The entire day was flawless. The day of the wedding, the staff were all incredibly helpful and were there to be of assistance every time I turned around. They all made me feel like a true queen. Not once did I need to worry about a single thing because they were proactively making the day run smoothly. The HOTB team is one of a kind and do not disappoint. I was even amazed at how carefully/quickly they packed up the night despite the weather change right at the time of exit. Not one item was broken or damaged. I even had every single original wrapping/box for items I brought to the venue. Thank you so much for all the hard work put into making our day the BEST day for us and all of our guests.

This venue is 5 stars all around!!! We landed on Herrington after touring a few venues in the area, and although the price point was slightly higher it was SO worth it and one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. Lexy was our POC all the way leading up to our wedding and she went above and beyond every single time we contacted her. Even our wedding planner was impressed by how much Herrington took on. They make it SO easy and she answered every question with ease and grace. She even helped us with vendors. I can't even begin to put into words how amazing and integral she was in the entire planning process. Our day of planner was just as outstanding and the day went off without a hitch! The food is delicious and there's so much variety. Our guests raved about the arepa bar, the crab cakes, and even the tater tot bar. Overall the most amazing and magical venue.

This is an absolutely beautiful venue for any event you may be planning. Brittany was the best in helping us plan our 50th wedding anniversary party and Amber managed the day of details, so efficiently. We canât say enough good things about all of the staff at this venue, our event was just perfect and exactly what we had hoped it would be.

Herrington on the Bay is definitely the place to have your wedding! It feels like a destination, without having to get on a plane. From the second we went on a tour and booked it for our wedding, we knew we would be in good hands. Everyone is so professional and helpful. We were assigned Marcie as our event specialist and she was absolutely amazing. Although she was helping to plan multiple weddings at once, she always answered all of our questions quickly and was there every step of the way. We were assigned Katie as our day of coordinator, who was also so amazing. She made sure that everything was perfect for us, and once it came to the wedding day we knew we wouldnât have to worry about anything. Everything went perfectly on the day of the wedding and our family and friends canât stop talking about it. We wish we could do it all over again, but we will definitely be back to visit!

We didn't end up having to hire a wedding planner because they had amazing catering in-house (our guests were raving about the food, signature cocktail, and dessert), a day of coordinator who was so sweet, and a stellar venue (ceremony and reception). The staff there were super responsive and gave us a packet of recommended vendors that we used. Our guests gave us so many compliments throughout the wedding.

Herrington on the Bay is stunning and the staff is just as amazing. From the beginning of our journey with our wedding and connecting with HOB, to the end, was top notch service, easy and smooth, and we felt like we were the only couple getting married there. We were made to feel so special and communication was phenominal. Marcie and Amber were our coordinators and they were SO nice, so professional, and just all around the best. Herrington on the Bay is stunning and the staff is just as amazing. My husband and I got married at Herrington on the Bay on July 8! The team at Herrington made the process so incredibly seamless to the point where I didnât have to worry about a single thing the day of! Initially, we met with Kira who gave us a tour of the venue and she was so warm and charismatic that she immediately made us feel like we were best friends! Taresa was my wedding planner for the last year and she made you feel so comfortable during a process that isnât as easy as you would think! She took down every detail we could possibly think of a created such a beautiful day for us! My day of coordinators, Amber and Melissa, were so attentive and really helped the day go off without a hitch! I would highly recommend Herrington on the Bay to anyone that asks!

Two months ago, we had our daughterâs wedding at Herrington on the Bay. Itâs taken me this long to puts words to paper that can describe this beautiful venue, and more importantly, theincredible staff! From our first tour of HOB, we realized that this was indeed a special place.I believe because it is âfamily ownedâ there is a definite sense of care and attention to detail.Our Event Sales Consultant, Corinne Beylo, provided our initial introduction to the property and what a wedding at Herrington would be like, with venue options based on availability. It just so happened that the Chef was in that afternoon preparing for a Sunday wedding, so we werefortunate to have him join our meeting and then bring us a sampling of appetizers! They werehandcrafted with a beautiful presentation. The wedding menu options are endless with HOB,including late-night snacks and options for the cocktail party.Once we signed our contract with Herrington on the Bay, we were assigned a specific Event Manager by the name of Marcie Licker. To say that Marcie was amazing would be an understatement. She was so responsive to our dozens of questions and requests over thesix-month planning process, that I honestly felt as though we were her only client! Marcie made suggestions based on her years of planning experience, giving her honest opinion when we needed it.The venue location our daughter selected for the ceremony was the garden location, right on the beach, followed by a cocktail reception on the patio and inside on the first floor of the Yacht Club. It was nice to have these indoor/outdoor options. They had a bar inside and our daughter and her fiancĂ©âs signature drinks prepped and ready to go (which was so nice that people did not have to wait).The dinner was in the top level of the Club, which comfortably seats 150 people. They set-uptwo bars on this level, which was really nice for crowd flow when people first gather upstairsfor the plated dinner. We opted for a champagne toast (and sparkling cider as a nonalcoholic choice) which was very reasonable. The Yacht Club is a beautiful quintessential âNew EnglandâClub with white and gray paint, lots of windows overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, and a stunning chandelier that suspends down the center of the building. While dinner was served upstairs, the staff was converting the first floor to the dessert bar and dance floor. It was a seamless transition from dinner to dancing and dessert downstairs. The evening went by quickly, 5 â 9:30 pm, but it was a magical day for our daughter and she said, âthis was the best day of her life.â Marcie consistently checked in with us to make sure all was going well and that there were no concerns to be addressed. A shout out to Chef Sarah for the beautiful meal. Everyone loved the food, it was hot, and each table had plenty of servers. The bartenders were fun and courteous, and all blended well with the DJ and photographer. We also hired a Wedding Coordinator, Leslie Jefferson with Wedding Savvy, who was recommended by Marcie. Without a doubt, Leslie was a treasure and worked magnificently with the HOB staff to ensure every detail was kindly care for. If you are seeking a garden or waterfront location, Herrington on the Bay is the perfect location for your special occasion. My daughter got married at Herrington on the Bay (May 2023) and the experience was magnificent. This waterfront venue provided a stunning backdrop and their top-of-the-line services and amenities are all inclusive. The staff was professional and accommodating. I can not say enough good things about this venue and the staff! The process was flawless from the moment we stepped foot on the venue and signed the contract.I worked directly with Taresa and Katie and they both went above and beyond to ensure that the day went off without any major concerns. Teresa is phenomenal and she did everything to make sure my daughter had her dream wedding, even running last minute errands. Both ladies were responsive, responsible, patient, organized, and made sure every detail was attended to. Their team completely managed the set up and break down, kept the evening on schedule, and Katie checked in with me throughout the event so I did not have to worry or stress. Katie and her team ensured there was never an empty glass or hungry stomach at the wedding. I highly recommend Herrington on the Bay. I loved the entire experience. From the beautiful garden view to the breathtaking waterfront; the delicious food and amazing drinks; exemplary service and skilled personnel. From our first tour with Kira from the Sales Team we knew that Herrington was where we wanted to have our big day. There are two venue options. We went with the Yacht Club. Though both venues are genuinely stunning in their own ways.Marcie, was our Event Specialist, and made the planning process as easy as possible. She was so quick with communication and incredibly organized. She answered questions promptly, laid out timelines clearly, and was overall just fun to work with!We were fortunate enough to have two wonderful Day of Coordinators, Brittany and Melissa. Who were also just fabulous and so thorough with everything. Unfortunately the day of, we did have to transition to the indoor option last minute due to summer storms rolling in, but these ladies and the rest of the team made sure it was a quick transition from outside to in and it was still so, so wonderful even though it was not Plan A.Charlie, our Garden Attendant, who ended up having to set up the ceremony twice with the switch was also just amazing. Charlie was so sweet and fun to work with. He was willing to help with anything needed the day of. And for any future brides that work with him, he is the king of bustling dresses and will make sure that dress stays up all night long! Our guests complimented how wonderful the entire staff was the night of our wedding. From those mentioned previously to cocktail waiters and bartenders, everyone was attentive and friendly. The food at the wedding was amazing. Herrington has extensive options to choose from, that are all so delicious. They will work with you to create food options that are curated to your taste. Along with the food, the drinks were great as well! Our experience with Herrington on the Bay was amazing from start to finish! From beginning to end, the entire process was so easy and stress-free and organized. Our wedding was really our dream come true and everything came out exactly the way we envisioned. We chose the Polynesian Garden venue.Our initial tour with Laura was amazing and the food was so delicious that we knew we wanted to book this venue.Lexy was so kind and responsive the entire process and answered all of our questions promptly.Amber, our day of coordinator was also so kind, patient, and attentive the entire process and especially the day of our wedding. She made sure everything went smoothly and perfect!We were extremely stressed out with the weather showing rain all week. Amber was very communicative regarding the indoor rain plan. She sent us photos to show us the options beforehand.Taylor was our rehearsal/ceremony coordinator and she was also really kind. We are so glad we had her because she made sure our rehearsal went smoothly and our ceremony went as planned.The day of the wedding, we had to make the call of indoor vs outdoor due to the rain coming and both Amber and Taylor helped us make the decision, showing us the weather radar and going through options. Luckily we were able to have our ceremony outside like we planned! (Though the indoor option would have been fine too!)Herrington is such a beautiful venue that you do not need to add a bunch of extra decor but there are also options to add on to make the venue even more beautiful. We added on the lanterns which made the venue look SO magical! We also added on the lights on the patio which we loved! Guests enjoyed the fire pit.Our guests raved about:-the food! they said absolute BEST food they have had at a wedding ever! they loved the appetizers and the entrees plus our signature cocktail. we also had late night tater tots plus topping bar which was a hit!-the photo ops! they loved taking photos out on the dock, sunset photos, the ceremony site with the arch. we were so happy guests were able to enjoy the venue and take lots and lots of photos-the venue- they said it was absolutely beautiful. some said they felt like they were in Hawaii with the bay and the palm trees.The staff during the wedding were also great! The bartender was very nice and the wait staff were great.The Inn at Herrington Inn is close by and highly recommend staying there as well in conjunction with your wedding at Herrington on the Bay.They also had a tasting event prior to the wedding where we got to try different appetizer options and dishes and that was extremely helpful in making decisions for our wedding.We just cannot recommend Herrington on the Bay enough! As soon as I toured Herrington I knew that I wanted my wedding to be at the Polynesian Lawn and Ballroom. The views and landscaping were just breathtaking. Taresa our coordinator was amazing walking us through the planning and answering all questions. Katie our day of person was also fantastic she was on top of everything and had it under control I did not have to worry about anything. I booked up this venue a long time ago and Taresa was able to help me all the way from day 1 till wedding day. She is so patient with you and really works hard to understands YOUR vision and helps you influence it while not changing it. She was a delight to work with and if I had to do it all over again she is one thing I wouldn't change :) Jessie was one of my day coordinators and although I had just met her, it felt like I knew for a long time. She was super helpful and answered any questions I had within 5 minutes! I would 10/10 recommend this venue especially working with this team.

They truly are the best at what they do!! Lexy was our point throughout the planning process and she is an absolute dream to work with - so responsive, kind and always willing to answer my million questions and offer advice on vendors, design, etc. Ryan was our day-of contact and was also amazing - always staying in touch with us and even helping to pivot last minute when we had a break in the rain so we could still have our ceremony outside. The venue itself is gorgeous, and our guests are still raving about the food 10 months later - everything is sooo delicious. We truly couldnât have asked for a better day or a better team to support us - we only wish we could do it all over again and canât wait to visit the Inn for our first anniversary!!! The process of working with Herrington on the Bay for our big day was so seamless. The staff was amazing. They were accommodating, flexible, helpful, efficient, and pleasant. Our wedding planner/coordinator, Taresa, was the best to work with. She was attentive to our needs. She was very patient with all of our questions, addressing our many requests and changes throughout the process. She was available on our wedding day and handled our wedding with care. She worked diligently as if this was her wedding day and it was extremely special. As in every wedding day, very minor/small things happened but Taresa handled everything and the day was completely stress free for the bride / groom, wedding party and guests. I am sure that there were things that we weren't even aware of. Katie was our day of coordinator and they worked very well as a team. I would recommend this duo to coordinate all of their future weddings. We received many phone calls/emails during this process just to check in with us and see if all of our questions and needs were met/answered. We have also received follow up calls after our event. We highly recommended Herrington on the Bay as your venue.

Herrington on the Bay is the absolute best place to get married. From the beautiful garden to the amazing interior, to the even better staff, everything was amazing for our wedding. Our coordinator, Marcie, was truly a savior to us on our day. She had already worked so diligently with us leading up to our wedding, answering my many questions and working to find the best options for our vision in our budget. The day of we had some issues with other vendors, and Marcie and her team went absolutely above and beyond to turn the day around for us. I was so stressed out and every time I turned around Marcie was there making everything better. We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue, the staff, the food and drinks (especially our signature drink!), and about Marcie specifically. For our guests to complement the venue and food/beverage was what I was hoping for as those were two main reasons we picked Herrington, but for them to compliment the staff and how much they added to our day truly showed me beyond any doubt that we picked the right place. If we could get married again, we would absolutely be doing it at Herrington. Thank you for making our wedding truly the best day of our lives! Every single guest we had commented on how idyllic the venue was. On top of all that, the event planning staff made everything so easy for us. Every option was laid out for us - colors, linens, food choices, drink options--they have it all. Taresa and the staff at Herrington on the Bay gave me my dream wedding, and I am truly grateful.

Herrington is the BEST ever and I am beyond happy that we booked them for our reception and ceremony. It was the best decision that we made for our wedding. I cannot say enough great things about this place, I would give them 1000 stars if I could! From the very first email I sent to Herrington, they were the most kind and responsive venue that I talked to. Then when we took a tour with Laura she was fantastic, and we were blown away with how beautiful the Herrington property is and how they are set up. We immediately booked our date after the tour, there was no question! And since booking our date every single person that weâve talked to at HOTB has been amazing! I must have emailed them with 1,000 questions but each time they answered them and made me feel at ease. Marcie is who we primarily worked with and she was our wedding day of coordinator, and she is SO fantastic!!! The day of the wedding we had different issues pop up (including an unwelcome guest) but each time I called Marcie for help she flawlessly helped us solve each issue and literally everything about our wedding day turned out perfect and just how we wanted. Everything went so smoothly, everything was decorated to perfection, I could go on for days about all the great things that Marcie and HOTB did. And the food!! The food is AMAZING and our guests were raving about it, along with our signature drinks which everyone loved (orange crush and watermelon thyme smash). And donât even get me started about the ceremony space set up, everything about it was stunning!! The HOTB staff that helped us on our wedding day (garden attendant, shuttle driver) were so kind and awesome too, they helped our ceremony to go flawlessly. Herrington is the BEST ever and I am beyond happy that we booked them for our reception and ceremony. It was the best decision that we made for our wedding. I cannot say enough great things about this place, I would give them 1000 stars if I could! From the very first email I sent to Herrington, they were the most kind and responsive venue that I talked to. Then when we took a tour with Laura she was fantastic, and we were blown away with how beautiful the Herrington property is and how they are set up. We immediately booked our date after the tour, there was no question! And since booking our date every single person that weâve talked to at HOTB has been amazing! I must have emailed them with 1,000 questions but each time they answered them and made me feel at ease. Marcie is who we primarily worked with and she was our wedding day of coordinator, and she is SO fantastic!!! The day of the wedding we had different issues pop up (including an unwelcome guest) but each time I called Marcie for help she flawlessly helped us solve each issue and literally everything about our wedding day turned out perfect and just how we wanted. Everything went so smoothly, everything was decorated to perfection, I could go on for days about all the great things that Marcie and HOTB did. And the food!! The food is AMAZING and our guests were raving about it, along with our signature drinks which everyone loved (orange crush and watermelon thyme smash). And donât even get me started about the ceremony space set up, everything about it was stunning!! The HOTB staff that helped us on our wedding day (garden attendant, shuttle driver) were so kind and awesome too, they helped our ceremony to go flawlessly. Herrington on the Bay is the most incredible venue with the most helpful, supportive, and responsive team. We got married June 25, 2022 in the Herring Bay Garden and had the reception in the Yacht Club. We had a 10 month time frame from booking to our wedding, so we had to move quickly to get everything planned. Marcie and Brittany are an absolute dream to work with - from planning meetings, communication, answering ALL of our questions and inquiries. We had a plan for a tropical glam vibe; we wanted everyone to feel like they were on vacation. Marcie and Brittany worked with the event staff, chefs, bar tenders, and everyone else to help our dream come to life. Most of all, they were genuinely happy for us throughout the process. They made us feel celebrated, loved, and supported in every interaction, meeting, and on the big day. I truly cannot recommend them enough. Our garden attendant, Charlie, was incredible. Charlie was calm, cool, collected, and above and beyond helpful. Charlie fulfilled every request quickly and cheerfully. The venue itself is *almost* as incredible as the team. Everyone kept asking âhow did you find this place?? This is the most beautiful wedding Iâve ever seen!â The garden is truly picturesque and the Yacht Club is gorgeous. The split level works great to separate areas of the reception. The patio and balcony are beautiful outdoor escapes for guests to enjoy the sunset. When we went to take our sunset pictures, we noticed many of our guests were taking advantage of golden hour overlooking the harbor. There is ample parking across the street from the venue. It was important to us to find a venue that had catering onsite because we wanted the food to be fresh, hot, and delicious. Herrington went above and beyond to help us get incredible food. For weeks after the wedding, guests remarked to us âIâve been to a lot of weddings, and this food was beyond the best.â For cocktail hour, we served passed crab dip bites, chicken and waffles (BIG hit!), a dip station, and an arepa bar. We also had a craft beer tasting and pretzel bite station, which our guests loved. For dinner, we served a summery salad followed by chicken and salmon, mushroom risotto, and seasonal vegetables. During dancing, we served passed mini pina coladas, which of course was so much fun! We cannot recommend Herrington on the Bay enough. They truly take care of everything throughout the planning process and the day of your event. After we booked and told other vendors and folks in the wedding world where we were getting married, they all expressed that Herrington is the best of the best and will ensure the most magical wedding day. They were right.

Our wedding at Herrington was everything we could have wished for! Both the ceremony site and reception venue (we had our reception in the Yacht Club) are gorgeous and well maintained. You honestly don't need to go overboard with decor because you are surrounded by beautiful views of the water everywhere you go. You feel like you are on vacation when you are at the property. Additionally, from the very first part of the planning process to the day of, the coordinators were friendly, organized, and knowledgeable. They helped our vision for the day come to life and all of the vendors they recommended were awesome to work with as well. The best part of working with Herrington, as the bride, was that on the day of, I truly felt like I had nothing to worry about. It rained all day, but the coordinators worked closely with us to time the ceremony just right, and we were able to get married outside between rain showers with no inconvenience to the flow of the day at all! During the reception, the coordinators helped move the events of the night along, and everything happened on schedule and with great flow. I always had a drink or food waiting for me when I needed it, and so did our family and wedding party. Our guests loved the bar staff and other attendants, who were all very friendly. Overall, we had an amazing day and I would recommend Herrington to anyone looking for a waterfront wedding! Thanks Lexy, Amber, Marcie for pulling off the best timed ceremony ever!

The Herrington did it all! I only had 5 months to plan my wedding which Im sure you can imagine was very stressful. They pretty much do everything from the catering, decorating and planning which was extremely convenient. My wedding day felt like a dream I was so stressed out the entire planning but day of I was quite literally in awe. That day they made sure everything went perfectly. Im still very emotional about how my wedding day is already over but i would 1000 times again choose herrington as my wedding venue. Additionally I want to note that Taresa, Amber, and Hope were the planners that I had helping me and they are absolutely phenomenal at their job!

They pretty much do everything from the catering, decorating and planning which was extremely convenient. My wedding day felt like a dream I was so stressed out the entire planning but day of I was quite literally in awe. That day they made sure everything went perfectly. Im still very emotional about how my wedding day is already over but i would 1000 times again choose herrington as my wedding venue. Additionally I want to note that Taresa, Amber, and Hope were the planners that I had helping me and they are absolutely phenomenal at their job!

After researching venues online, the first and only venue I visited was Herrington and knew immediately I wanted to get married here. Every part of the process went smoothly. Lexy and Marcie were amazing and extremely helpful in every way! The food was absolutely amazing and all our our guests are still talking about how great everything was! It was so nice to have everything we needed for the wedding on site: the rehearsal dinner at the beach tent pavilion, wedding at the paradise ballroom, staying at the Inn onsite. There is the Chesapeake Deli and market right near by that has so many things. I definitely recommend Herrington and will be going back to visit at some point!

We absolutely loved our wedding at Herrington. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the team is so easy to work with! We had booked the venue pre-covid. Our first meeting, we had a venue tour and sampling of the food/drinks which was outstanding. The entire initial experience really felt like a celebration with similar tastings each time. The also had a tasting event separate from regular planning sessions to taste entrees. From booking, we were paired with Lexy for event coordination. Every pre-coordination session/communication always had the same feeling of celebration versus something stressful. The venue was also very flexible with moving our date during the lockdown timeframe which we greatly appreciated. They were also flexible with helping to create a menu that helped reflect us as a couple. Day of, the food was great.Day-of coordination was fairly seemless as well. The only issue we ran into was that the candles/votives we had didn't get placed. Although not sure if this was on the venue or the florist in all honesty. But overall the impact to the day from that was minimal. The venue also offered COVID measures (increased table distance, staff masking) to make our guests feel more comfortable attending the event.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the rehearsal dinner that I held for my son at the barn which is affiliated with Herrington on the Bay. All the event specialist and staff that I worked with⊠Laura, Lexi, the two Brittanyâs, Taylor, and Kenzie, weâre beyond beyond fabulous!!! Why is it was full of many details, and crossover between the rehearsal dinner and wedding the next day, and everything went flawlessly. All of these ladies were with me every step of the way for two years, and every email was answered quickly, often within minutes. To say that my son and I were thrilled with our rehearsal dinner, and the bonfire on the beach which followed, provided by the Inn, and with which Taylor worked with me on, is an understatement. Everything from start to finish, the venue, the staff, the bartender, the food, was perfection!While I was not part of planning the wedding, like I said, some of my things from the rehearsal dinner crossed over to the wedding venue, and again that was handled superbly by everyone to make sure that everything got where it needed to be in time. The help that I received with set up and take down was invaluable.I only wish I had another child that I could do a rehearsal dinner or wedding for here, as I would without hesitation.

Lexy even stopped by to say hi the night of our wedding which was really nice because we had been working with her from the very start. Every meeting we had prior to our wedding was a delightful experience and they treated us so well! It really helped take away some wedding stress knowing we had HOB running everything on the back end of things. The food was outstanding and our guest loved the venue! Our family was so pleased with how everything turned out. It was truly a magical experience!

We did our gender reveal at our wedding along with the other festivities and they were SO ACCOMMODATING and helpful with planning our special surprise! They thought ahead about things I wouldnât even have thought of and weâre so on top of everything. Our coordinator for the day Marcie was absolutely amazing! She came and asked us anything she wasnât sure about and handled things behind the scenes we werenât even aware of! We did our gender reveal at our wedding along with the other festivities and they were SO ACCOMMODATING and helpful with planning our special surprise! From the moment we stepped onto the grounds of Herrington on the Bay we knew we found our venue. It was our Bahamas in MD. The landscaping, the venue, and the staff were amazing. From Ally to Mary to Brittany T., and everyone else we met; everything was perfect. We could not have asked for a better location and experience. From the food, drinks, and amazing water views, our guests raved about how exceptional everything was. A week later, we are still on cloud nine reliving our wedding day and the entire experience! We are so impressed with the team at Herrington on the Bay and loved that we could have our âdestinationâ wedding at the beautiful hidden tropical gem otherwise known as Herrington on the Bay!

Unfortunately, I was unable to follow through with planning a wedding here due to personal reasons BUT the staff is very helpful and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is apprehensive to planning any event. Laura was the sales representative that I was working with and she made me feel comfortable the entire time I was working with her. Again, I had to stop planning at the beginning stages but I know from my initial experience that anyone who is fortunate enough to have their event here would love it.

I met with Kira this summer to help plan my sister's wedding. Kira was super helpful and responsive from the second I reached out to her. We went for a tour and were blown away by the beauty of the ceremony and reception spaces! Herrington on the Bay is the perfect waterfront wedding location for sure! The chef also prepared a sample spread for us, which was an unexpected surprise. Everything was delicious. Kira worked within my sister's budget to provide her with an array of options. My sister put off booking because of Covid, and then ended up doing a small ceremony, more local. However, I highly recommend Herrington if you are considering a waterfront wedding! You will not be disappointed!

We had SO MUCH FUN with HOTB planning our Oct 2020 wedding! All the staff are incredible but special shout out to Lexy, our coordinator, who we adore and is SO dang good at her job! Thank you for accommodating all our annoying last minute changes ;) Through all the unknowns of 2020, this venue helped keep us informed and confident about our wedding day (which we never had to change or alter!) The location is beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly manicured. The food was amazing and every planning meeting we had with them, we got to sample something new and delicious. We love tater-tots and their amazing chef staff were able to deliver with their first ever tater-tot bar! We loved it, our guests loved it! They allowed us to have the freedom to plan out wedding. Never once did they force us into anything that fit their plan. They encouraged us to make our own mold, and do what made us! That freedom alone was amazing and they were there every step of the way to make sure we got to see what we wanted on our special day.Lexy and Ryan were helpful every step of the way! Our wedding took place during the 2020 pandemic and they made sure (that even with certain restrictions that were in place through the state) we were still able to have a beautiful and magical day. Everything about Herrington is beautiful! The staff is warm and friendly. The food is amazing! Every time we went for a planning visit the staff was incredible, and welcoming. (They even sent us home with their amazing crumb-cake!) The overall environment is amazing. Every family member and friend that came to our wedding loved the paradise ballroom and scenic views of the water. There is an elegance and beauty that the ballroom has that's indescribable until you walk in and see the chandelier lit! Once the chandelier is lit it becomes this magical awe inspiring place. If you are looking for an amazing place to get married I would recommend Herrington on the Bay tenfold! They treated us as if we were their own and I have nothing but good things to say about them!

Herrington on the Bay (HOTB) was a joy to work with to make this wedding very special. To start, the venue was beautiful!! So many flowers and a great view of the water. A BIG SHOUT OUT to the chefs!! Everyone loved the food at the rehearsal dinner, especially the pork and chicken BBQ. It was a very special beginning to a fantastic weekend. We also received many positive comments about the food at the reception. Many compliments about the chicken and waffles and the \"melt in your mouth\" sirloin. In addition, the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Sliders were great. But the HIT of the night were those milkshakes!! Several people admitted they had several ...1 person said he had 5! I don't want to miss the brunch. Everything was great! The cinnamon crumb cake was to die for. We were so impressed with the attention that we all received from those who worked hard to serve so many but also paid special attention to the bride and groom.I highly reccommend HOTB for your wedding or anything else for that matter!!

We are so thankful for the service received. We started planning in July 2020 and got married the very next month. Laura, Ryan, and Mary are the best - so helpful, supportive, and professional! We are so thankful for them - for all the time and energy they invested to ensure that we had an amazing day. We are already looking forward to returning to Herrington on the Bay.

Whew! What a whirlwind. My husband and I were married in August 2020 after having to postpone due to the pandemic. Our original wedding date was in April 2020. It was a wild ride, but Brittany, Lexy, and Ryan combined forces to make it happen! I've never worked with an organization so responsive to emails. After booking Herrington as our wedding venue in 2018, I knew we had picked a winner. Ryan was an excellent on-site coordinator. He put my parents at ease, which is no small feat during the COVID-19 crisis! Very appreciative of everyone at Herrington who contributed to our special day.

We fell in love with Herrington on the Bay from the moment we stepped foot on their beautiful property. Rewind to 2 years ago, we just happened to have one of our first dates at Ketch 22, which lead to us wandering around the beautiful property and absolutely falling in love with the beautiful views, perfectly manicured gardens and sunsets to die for. Once we got engaged on July 3, 2019, we knew that Herrington on the Bay would be top on our list of places to look at for hosting our wedding. Our dream date of July 3, 2020 was still available but sadly the coronavirus pandemic changed absolutely everything. We were like many other couples that were forced to put our wedding plans on hold until it was safe to host an event again. To our delight, about a month before July 3,2020, Herrington on the Bay reopened for small intimate âminimoniesâ and we were able to get married in an intimate ceremony and celebration for 7 people on our perfect day.Big kudos to the entire team at Herrington on the Bay, Laura in Event Sales is so extremely responsive, professional, kind and answers every possible question that you could come up with. She is an absolute delight to work with. Mary and Ryan in Events were there to make sure that absolute every single detail was taken care of and did it with grace and poise, even on a hot summer day. Ryan went above and beyond by staying with us the entire ceremony to make sure everyone was happy, had plenty of cool water and towels and even helped take some pictures of the entire group. Best part of the entire experience is that we are booked for July 2021 for a ring ceremony and grand celebration, where we will be able to have our entire family and friends join us in the place that we fell in love with and got married at this year. We can hardly wait!
