Heston Hills Event Center is a stunning wedding venue in La Porte, IN, located across eight acres of breathtaking landscape. This site offers a selection of ceremony and reception locations to suit various wedding styles. With endless backdrops and photo opportunities, every element of that long-awaited day will surely be memorable and magical. Nearlyweds can avail of private on-site suites for their preparations with their respective wedding parties. The beautiful outdoor ceremony site has a decorated trellis, plenty of seating, and a carpet aisle. The luscious greenery, a nearby pond, and log shelters provide no shortage of photo opportunities. Couples have the choice of two reception locations, each boasting unique amenities. The Prairie Room can hold up to 100 guests and has a sliding antique carriage door as a charming focal point along shiplap walls. The large skylights allow natural daylight to flood the area, bouncing proudly off the bright walls. The Galena Room is the centerpiece of Heston Hills Event Center. This function hall boasts ceiling drapes anchored by a sparkling chandelier. Large windows provide beautiful views of the nearby landscape and pond. Up to 350 guests can be accommodated here, with an attached patio adorned with string lights for added space. If you want your dream wedding to come true book your venue with Heston Hills! They were so helpful and made the whole process easy and fun. One of my big factors in booking was they have the capability of you having your wedding and reception at the same place and not having your guests wait hours or drive to a different location for your reception. I didn't want that for my guests. They have recently renovated the venue and it is to die for! The huge bridal suite was perfect for my bridal party to get ready in and same with the groom's suite. The grounds at Heston Hills are breathtaking as well. My wedding pictures turned out gorgeous! The food was delirious as well, you can't go wrong with Heston prime rib. They honestly created my dream wedding and I can't thank Heston Hills enough for doing so! I also had my dream bridal shower at Heston Hills as well in the small room in the back and I got so many compliments on it as well. Heston Hills will take the extra step to make sure you day is special and perfect. I would recommend Heston Hills to anyone as they were the perfect wedding venue.

We chose to have our wedding reception at Heston Hills. Honestly, it was the best decision. From our first meeting with the owner and wedding coordinator, I knew our experience would be great. Shellie has every quality that you would want in a wedding coordinator. She’s knowledgeable, experienced, and is a true professional. Not only did she go above and beyond to meet our many requests, she’s did it all with a smile. Fast forward to the wedding day, Shellie and her team quietly gots things done while checking in on the bridal party. She made sure we were on schedule the entire day. She takes the stress and responsibility so the bridal party and wedding guests can focus on having fun. The entire team was extremely accommodating. We planned on having pizza as a “late night snack” - I wanted it to come out earlier than what we originally planned, and they got it done. Plus the pizza was so good! The waitstaff and bartenders were all amazing. Your wedding day will go by quickly, so try to enjoy every minute. I wouldn’t change a single thing about our special day. Thank you Heston!!

We had our wedding at this venue September 2022 and it was the best day of my life. I was able to sit back and enjoy every moment knowing everything was being taken care of by the coordinator Shellie, owner Tim, and staff. It was beautiful and everyone left happy. The ceremony was great, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the reception was a blast. I would recommend.

I am going through the pictures of the wedding we held in Dec at Heston Hills and I am still smiling. The event coordinator, the staff and the owner went out of their way to make our 270 guest reception just perfect! Decor, drinks and food were elegant and at the highest level to make an evening we never wanted to end. So many guests complimented us on the reception. Give Shellie a call for your next event. If we could do it all over again we would! It was perfect!!

My sister recently held her ceremony at Heston Hills. I will start off by saying the venue is beautiful and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the coordinator, Sue, was horrendous. Weddings are stressful, of course, but a decent coordinator’s purpose is to alleviate stress, not be a source of it. The best way I can describe Sue’s demeanor over the weekend is an ROTC dropout/drill sergeant wannabe. During the rehearsal, she was combative, uncoachable, defensive, and rude. She made snarky comments to the mother of the bride and treated the bride and grooms family like the enemy. She became defensive when it was pointed out to her that the doors were opened on the incorrect time during the processional song, during rehearsal. That is what rehearsal is for, to work out the kinks and orchestrate the flow of the ceremony. But she acted like it was a personal insult when I tried to amend a minor mistake. Then the day of the ceremony came. She paraded potential brides through the bridal party’s dressing room while we were getting ready. Very strange and inappropriate. She made several off-color remarks, one that made us particularly uncomfortable about my father “seeing us girls naked a thousand of times”. I’m not sure what goes on in her home, but my father does not see his grown daughters in the nude, and it was a very unnecessary remark. Matters only got worse from there. Weddings run on the brides time. Everyone who has ever worked in the wedding industry seems to realize that, except Sue. It’s difficult to determine whether she is extremely inexperienced, insufficiently trained, or just low class. She would aggressively barge into the dressing room to yell at the BRIDE and her bridesmaids to hurry up. She then stormed off saying the wedding would start at 3 o’clock sharp, whether we were ready or not. Mind you, this was at 2:58 and we were dressing the bride. This should be a magical, cherished moment, putting on your late grandmothers pearls to adorn your wedding dress, moments before you walk down the aisle. 5 minutes late is hardly unreasonable, yet when I stated that we would be out when we finish getting dressed, she slammed the door shut, then swung it open in a fit of rage and yelled “what did you just say to me?”. Uncalled for. She truly acted like she wanted to physically fight me because we were running 5 minutes behind schedule. It is astonishing to see a single review praising her. Maybe she is past her prime or a couple weeks in quarantine has caused her to forget her manners and ability to act appropriately in society. Either way, I’m glad the reception was at a separate location and the evening turned out perfectly, despite Sue, not because of her. I would strongly suggest considering ANY other location if you are planning a wedding in northern Indiana. After the wedding, I brought it to her attention that her behavior was unprofessional and not appreciated. Of course, she once again became combative and aggressive. She did not offer an apology or even acknowledge her mistakes. At least attempt to make up an excuse? It is a shame because the venue has so much potential and I refuse to believe Sue is the best Laporte has to offer.

We live in North Carolina so most of the planning was done long distance, the staff was very flexible. My daughter wanted a lot of outdoor photography and Heston Hills has great spaces.

I would first like to say how absolutely beautiful and perfect Heston Hills Event center was on our wedding day. The grounds were very scenic and comfortable. The rooms were all so spacious, clean, wonderfully decorated, up to date and cozy! The food was excellent! I had so many compliments on how delicious the salmon and chicken were! The quality of service from both staff and from Sue (event coordinator) was highly professional! Also, warming and welcoming!! She really made the whole process of planning, very easygoing and enjoyable for my husband and I. We are so incredibly thankful for everything that Heston provided for us, and also thankful to sue for helping make it the best wedding day ever! We LOVE this place and would highly recommend it to everyone!

I absolutely loved Heston Hills as my wedding venue! The venue itself was just gorgeous. The land surrounding the building was perfect for pictures and the rooms inside looked like a dream. One of my personal favorite aspects of the venue was the enormous and super cute bridal suite, which I used to get ready in with my bridesmaids. I also adored the beautifully decorated ceremony room and reception room. The decorations and set up made my wedding feel like a fairytale. All the employees at Heston Hills were sweet and friendly. They made sure all points were covered during wedding planning and they were extremely flexible with me during that time. They truly became as close as family and I loved having them at the wedding. Heston Hills is a wonderful venue and I would recommend it to anyone. If you choose Heston Hills, you will not be disappointed!

Sue and the Heston Hills staff were amazing! The staff really made my winter wedding day perfect! I cannot say enough good things about this venue. They went above and beyond to make sure everything went as smooth as possible. Sue was quick to answer all of my questions and really put my mind at ease during a stressful time. This venue was more flexible then others in the area, allowing me to add my personal touches to the reception hall, including completely changing the decorations on the Christmas trees. Price comparison with others is competitive. It truly was the best day of my life! Thank you!!!

They have great customer service and get back to you very quickly to answer all of your questions. The hall is beautiful, and the food was some of the best my wife and I have had while at a wedding. Bar is fantastic - drinks are made very well, and they do not pour too light for the mixed drinks. They are organized and quick when it comes time to serving the food.There were many things we had to worry about when planning our wedding, but Heston made it very easy for us when planning out our venue.We have been here for several weddings (including our own). We highly recommend using Heston Hills. Definitely 5 stars!

Bar is fantastic - drinks are made very well, and they do not pour too light for the mixed drinks. They are organized and quick when it comes time to serving the food.There were many things we had to worry about when planning our wedding, but Heston made it very easy for us when planning out our venue.We have been here for several weddings (including our own). We highly recommend using Heston Hills. Definitely 5 stars!

This was hands down the most amazing venue/experience we have ever had! My daughter's wedding was nothing short of a fairy tale! Sue was phenomenal and was one step ahead of our needs through planning and during our event! She never let us worry over a single detail. The venue is stunning and has amazing photo ops. They worked with our photographer and DJ and we never had to give anything a second thought. AND THE FOOD!!! Holy Moley was the prime rib carving station a hit with the guests. Melt in your mouth deliciousness. We had so many compliments. I just cant say enough about the entire experience!

Most beautiful place to have our wedding!! We loved how big the venue was, it fit all of our guests perfectly...from the table & chair decor/ lighting, to the food, everything was outstanding..not to mention the beauty outside where we took our pictures. Thank you Sue for helping us plan (literally) everything!! She was so fun to work with, very sweet lady:) She was so great keeping us on track and really being flexible with us and our schedules. We appreciated it so much! Would highly recommend!!

Heston is a beautiful venue with reasonable prices! Sue was great to work with and gave great advice with planning. Our wedding day was perfect and we got lots of compliments on the food! It was delicious!! Would definitely recommend them!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I had my wedding there on 8/8/2015 and having it at Heston Hills Banquets made all the difference! First off, I loved that the location has both an outside (Prairie Terrace) that is surrounded by nature and a lovely/elegant, grand ballroom on the inside (Galena room). So naturally, I chose to have both my ceremony AND reception there! What I also really liked about the \"plan B\" location for the ceremony just in case it rained (Prairie view room). Secondly, the event coordinator there, Sue, was such a huge help! I met with her on several occasions going over the food (Heston provides the food-so good!), drink, chair/table, and decoration options. Could't have done it without her! Third and final point, is that all of this was at a very good price! I was looking around for several months trying to find venues that had what I was looking for that didn't come with a Chicago amount price tag. It was a win-win in the end!\rThe day of the wedding came around and everything went so smoothly! Nothing went wrong at all-absolutely flawless! Sue and Tracy kept the flow of things moving at a good pace and they arranged everything with the vendors on site. \rThank you so much again! \rSo, if you're looking for a perfect ceremony and/or reception site, look no further :)
