A one-of-a-kind, truly all-inclusive venue based in Asheville, NC, Hidden River Events is a 20 acre working farm (horses and flowers) used for weddings, engagements, and other joyous occasions. Onsite vacation rental housing for up to 65 people comfortably affords the possibility of truly bringing two sets of family and friends together and more than just a few hours on the property. Whether you desire the tranquil river, tall mountain backdrops, being surrounded by flowers, and more, this charming property offers scenic outdoor spaces to say “I do.” Thanks to their picturesque backdrops and seamless services, you can celebrate your happily-ever-after with ease. As you arrive at Hidden River Events, you will be greeted by rich green fields, flowers in season, seven vacation home rentals, along with reception and ceremony spaces. Their spaces are available for you and over 350 guests to celebrate to your heart’s content. Their outdoor areas are ideal for every couple, from adventurous to elegant. You and your partner may exchange vows in the garden with vibrant blossoms, or numerous other sites, and set up your floral arbor, chairs, and other decor items to your liking. After your wedding ceremony, you may eat, dance, and sing under their grand architectural event tent. The event tent is spacious and has ample room for a dance floor and entertainment setup. The event tent is over 5000 square feet, featuring lighting, fans, comfortable furniture, and all infrastructure needed for your event. Hidden River Events’ management team is thrilled to provide several services to ensure your event runs seamlessly. It is a one of a kind, truly all inclusive venue where EVERYTHING is included that you need for your event, except for alcohol, which you can purchase yourselves (with no mark ups). Typically, all a couple does the day of their event is to drop off their alcohol for the bartenders to serve and bring any photos, memorabilia, guest favors, etc. to set out. Their seasoned caterers will be delighted to cater to your rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, and wedding reception. Their cuisine list is comprehensive and completely customizable. You and your sweetheart may choose between entrees, appetizers, and desserts. If you desire a wedding cake, their passionate bakers can craft a range of tiered cakes or individual cakes or you can choose, cupcakes, pie bars, goodie bars and more that match your style and tastes. In addition to the cuisine, everything else is included: flowers, photography (choose from several choices), DJ (who works just for the venue and is spot on,) on site transportation, all labor, all infrastructure (chairs, tables, linens, catering/serving items, and more), and event planning. From Ice To Ash:Despite the ominous title, our day was the farthest from.We met on an island of fire & ice in the North Atlantic Sea back in 2019. For 2 years, we lived apart, until we were able to come and be together. In that time, I learned of a truly special place in my wife's heart. We started searching in the desired area and found a company that appealed to us, far more than any others. Hidden River Events was an ABSOLUTELY incredible venue for us. My wife has always wanted to be married in Asheville, NC and wanted to be married during the change of seasons. This change of seasons being Fall in particular, when the hills are alive with such breathtaking color. Hidden River has all the best qualities for which we were looking. They possess a stunning setting space, a number of different locations on property to hold the ceremony (we ended up choosing the cove beside the Swannanoa River), on-site housing for the majority of our guests, flowers grown on-site and after the event any extras were taken to hospice, and locally-sourced food, where the extra was taken to the local shelter. Hidden River built a personalized wedding website for us that made picking & choosing our decorations, menu, floral packages, etc. incredibly easy considering we lived almost 2000 miles away and could not visit. Haley and Grace worked with us by answering any and every little question we came up with, having long phone calls with us, continually updating our google docs with our decisions, and offering advice based on their past experience. We loved our DJ, Michael and our day-of-coordinator, Kriss who were incredible with keeping the day running smoothly. We also had Jesse as our photographer and she was absolutely fantastic. It was really wonderful to have a staff that had so much experience working with one another and working at Hidden River. Despite their immense experience, their genuine excitement for our day was everpresent throughout the whole planning process and the day-of.Jeanne officiated our wedding and we are so grateful that she did. This was the most intimate, genuine, and romantic ceremony we could have imagined. We sat down with Jeanne a couple days before our wedding and spoke to her for a couple hours about us, our love story, our values, etc. She truly internalized our story and performed a ceremony that was so sentimental and true to us. For days after we had folks saying, \"How long have you known Jeanne?!\

We recently had our wedding at Hidden River and it could not possibly have been better. The coordinators and staff are tremendous people who made planning and celebrating our wedding as stress-free as it could possibly be. The venue is gorgeous, and the option to have some housing for ourselves and guests on site was an amazing treat. Jeanne the owner (and our officiant) is a lovely person who really puts a ton of thought and care into what she does. The Hidden River staff we worked with were each absolutely lovely people who did everything they could to make our day perfect. Even the horses joined in on showing us some love!

Our experience with Hidden River really was 5 star and we couldn't have asked for a better day to celebrate our marriage. Their planning team makes the process seamless and low-stress and you can add as much or as little personalization as you want. We had a few non-traditional additions that the venue accommodated with excitement. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and vendors involved every step of the way. Our day of coordinator, Kriss, is damn good at her job and everyone needs one of her to ensure smooth sailing on wedding day. She made sure my garden ceremony site was possible regardless of head count. She found solutions to problems that I didn't even know were an issue until after they were solved. Our appetizers, meal, and desserts from Anne's Custom Catering were raved about throughout the evening. Our best made choice of options included in our contract was our choice to use Erica Mueller as our photographer. She is a genuinely beautiful soul and has the ability to make you feel so comfortable in front of her lens, (even us photophobic ones). The images we now have are plentiful and better than I could have ever imagined. She has now shot our wedding and our maternity photographs, and the galleries of both were delivered quickly and the images included are top notch and exceed every expectation of ours and then some. We truly will be able to look back through our wedding album for the rest of our years and relive our day from start to finish with the biggest smile. I chose to take a \"gamble\" and allow the hidden river floral team to design all the flowers for our July wedding and I was SO impressed with the outcome. Their gardens were in full bloom and our bouquets and centerpieces turned out so, so beautifully. The talent that goes into their arrangements is breathtaking and all flowers not taken home at the end of the event are donated to local Hospice services. The grounds and the location are spectacular- including all of their multiple ceremony site options. The accommodations are clean and welcoming, and the staff truly care to make you and your guests have a one of a kind experience.As there always is, we did have one hiccup at the end of our event but the team was willing to communicate and everything was ironed out with respect and professionalism. If we had to do it all over again, I don't think there is one thing we would change and we send our biggest thanks to everyone along the way.

We had such a great experience having our wedding at Hidden River! We rented out the property from Thursday to Sunday to have several events and stayed onsite with our close family and friends. The venue has a beauty and charm that speaks for itself but what made our experience so positive was the staff! We planned every detail beforehand with Grace and Haley and the execution was flawless from Logan and Kriss, our two day of coordinators. From the planning to the moment we got on site, the staff were kind, calm, responsive, and extremely helpful. What we loved most was that everyone made our unique vision of a multicultural wedding possible, each time we had a question about how or if we could do something the answer was yes or our planners and the staff were helping us figure out how it could be possible! This wasn’t the case at several other wedding venues we looked at where it was really difficult to fit in less traditional and typical elements because the venue didn’t have experience with it or because they were not willing to work with us. We had a Henna Welcome night with Indian food, our moms officiating the ceremony, and a wedding reception with both Indian and American tunes playing! We could not have asked for a better experience or for a wedding that felt more like us - HRE and the staff are really inclusive, open-minded, and ready to do what it takes to make your vision a reality!

Hidden River made the entire planning process easy. Their all inclusive package was just what we needed. It was always easy to contact someone if we had questions. Logan, our coordinator was helpful and organized. She put our minds at ease with her professionalism and knowledge. All of their recommended vendors were incredible. The floral arrangements created by Hidden River were simply gorgeous. And having on site housing for the entire bridal party and family was so great. It created such a relaxing environment for all of us to be able to focus on the joy and love of the weekend. All of our guests gave us amazing compliments about our beautiful ceremony, officiated by Jeanne. The weather was perfect and the reception tent was decorated beautifully. I would give 10 stars if I could.

All the staff at Hidden River, and especially owner Jeanne, made my daughter's wedding the most remarkable and enjoyable experience we could have hoped for. Everything came together- even the weather cooperated. So many commented on the beautiful setting and wedding. Staying onsite was a joy, to have multiple days to be able to walk to the river past the goats and horses and take in the beautiful views from the decks of the guest houses. The rehearsal dinner with views from the deck of Craggie was ideal. My favorite was the wedding ceremony graciously led by Jeanne including 2 dogs and 4 plus 1 flower girls down by the river. The carriage rides, and finally the \"big tent\" reception venue, food, cake, DJ, dancing and bar were perfect. Jeanne not only officiated a remarkable and meaningful ceremony but also did the beautiful flowers. The planning tools and event managers were invaluable in creating this amazing time together.

Hidden River was the perfect location for a western NC wedding without being too far outside of the city. The venue is full of natural beauty (mountainous backdrop, pond, river, flower garden) and has so many additional photo opportunities (barns, greenhouse, horse & carriage). The cocktail hour and reception layout was perfect. Our guests loved being able to pet the horses and have space to spread out for games like cornhole. The staff was great! Everyone was very friendly, professional, and super helpful. Communication was strong through email and the Wedding Protocol document. We also had the opportunity to schedule phone calls as needed with our event manager. Kriss was a fantastic day of coordinator and made sure everything was set up, organized and ready to go. It was so convenient to have multiple vendors covered under our single contract with HRE; it removed a lot of leg work and stress. The food was delicious, our bartender was great, and the DJ brought great energy. Overall we are so happy with our choice to host this special day at HRE. Our only recommendation for couples considering this venue would be to request a specific list of rental items not included in the “all inclusive” package. We were surprised by some additional costs for items after entering our contract with an all inclusive mindset. A little more transparency on the front end would have been helpful for us as we budgeted. We also found ourselves wishing we had the option to make payments by credit card (as opposed to only by check) to earn points/cash back. However, overall we feel like we got a great deal and fantastic service at HRE and are very happy with how our day turned out! We highly recommend HRE to couples searching for a wedding venue in the Asheville area!

If you are looking for a beautiful mountain wedding, look no further. Hidden River is not only beautiful, but so easy to work with. As someone who has difficulty making decisions, they streamline the process and make it so easy and stress free. Our florals were beyond beautiful, the food from their recommended caterer was amazing, and every one was so kind and helpful leading up to and on the day of our wedding. Our only regret was that we didn't get to eat more of our wedding cake! 10/10 Recommend!

If you are looking for a beautiful mountain wedding, look no further. Hidden River is not only beautiful, but so easy to work with. As someone who has difficulty making decisions, they streamline the process and make it so easy and stress free. Our florals were beyond beautiful, the food from their recommended caterer was amazing, and every one was so kind and helpful leading up to and on the day of our wedding. Our only regret was that we didn't get to eat more of our wedding cake! 10/10 Recommend!

I would never ever consider getting married anywhere except at Hidden River. It checked our personal boxes of: beautiful outdoor venue in the mountains, lodging on site, and pet friendly. On top of this, they are an all inclusive venue and make the wedding planning process a BREEZE. I mean, they handle it all! Their website is very straight forward so you know exactly what you are getting and for how much upfront. The staff is very professional, responsive, nice, and knows what they are doing! They will put all your planning worries at ease. We got married there 4/22/23. We had about 90 guests and completely filled up the 7 cabins on site with family and friends that wanted to spend the long weekend in Asheville with us. The weather was gorgeous, the wedding site was by the river, and our two pups got to join us. All their in house vendors are AMAZING, so there is another thing off your plate. Just go with what they offer, and let them take the wheel. You won't regret it! My wedding day was easy breezy, and I would gladly relive it 1000x over. In addition, their in house officiant, Jeanne, is just the most pleasant woman ever. She truly takes the time to get to know you and many of our guests came to us to share how impressed they were with her ceremony. She made our ceremony so special, I loved having her marry us!

They will put all your planning worries at ease. We got married there 4/22/23. We had about 90 guests and completely filled up the 7 cabins on site with family and friends that wanted to spend the long weekend in Asheville with us. The weather was gorgeous, the wedding site was by the river, and our two pups got to join us. All their in house vendors are AMAZING, so there is another thing off your plate. The entire team at Hidden River was amazing from start to finish for our elopement! Haley kept us organized until our big day and then Logan was there throughout our first look and ceremony to make sure everything went smoothly. The DJ was a nice touch to the ceremony and the house photographer, Emma, was fantastic! The arbor flowers we absolutely gorgeous as well.

My wife and I had a wonderful wedding this past weekend and it was largely wonderful because of the attention to detail and hard-working staff at Hidden River Events. Wedding planning can be inherently difficult for the Bride and Groom with a ton of decisions, coordination and developing plans but our experience at Hidden River was not stressful, it was just enjoyable! The team at HR Events, with an all-inclusive type offering, take you along for the ride with a process that builds confidence in the event(s), gives you freedom to specify your needs and fully allows you to be present at your wedding. The venue is beautiful. The well-manicured fields, plentiful housing, tons of friendly animals, access to water, all settled inside a stunning mountainous backdrop. The event space has all of the enjoyment of being outside in nature with an elegance that’s fitting for a wedding with your loved ones. The people you get to work with make all the difference. Jeanne, the owner, gave us a wonderful tour of the venue and really made us feel like we were at home at Hidden River. Throughout the process we had multiple coordinators – Grace, Haley, Logan and Kevin – who were all on the same page, always happy to help, and communicated everything with us promptly and effectively. We got to work with Trevor, who assisted in floral arrangements - not only were the flowers beautiful, everyone who talked to him told me how nice and helpful he was. Erica Mueller, our photographer, is unbelievably talented in her vision for photos. We were consistently amazed at what she could pull off. She also was “herding the cats”, as I liked to say, getting everyone to get to their marks and keeping us on time. As talented as she is, I don’t want it to be lost that she’s also one of the sweetest people we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Ann, the owner of Moment’s Catering, completely pulled off an incredible meal for dinner. I had multiple guests tell me that it was the best barbecue they thought they had ever had (no joke). Our DJ, Michael, was awesome at keeping the party going! The bartenders nailed it! I know I’m missing even more but this staff was fantastic great across the board. Thanks again to all those involved in making our weekend special. We will always be grateful! We would strongly recommend any couple looking for a venue to host their wedding event to go see Hidden River for themselves. We instantly fell in love with it and would bet that you will too.

Hidden River is AMAZING! The venue is beautiful and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure that my wedding day was perfect. Everyone I worked with was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. Communication was always seamless and they were always on top of every detail from the initial planning stages all the way through the wedding day. The on-site houses were lovely and cozy, the caterer is excellent, our photographer was amazing, the flowers were gorgeous, and the DJ was a pleasure to work with. Although I took a very hands-on approach to planning my wedding, it would definitely be possible to leave your wedding plans entirely in their capable hands and trust that everything will be taken care of if you're someone who lives far away or doesn't have time to wedding plan. Couldn't recommend HRE more!!

The all-inclusive nature of the venue was like nothing we had seen while venue shopping, and it lived up the ease they promised. Our daughter Hannah and her husband Bryan had the most beautiful wedding ever on April 15, 2023 thanks to Hidden River Events! We cannot give enough praise to Jeanne, Grace, Haley, Logan and the entire Hidden River staff for a wonderful wedding experience. The venue was awesome and the setting along the Swannanoa River with the Black Mountains in the distance was spectacular. The all-inclusive format allowed us to enjoy a fairy tale wedding without having to research and plan every detail. Hidden River had already vetted exceptional local caterers, photographers, bartenders and every other service you could want. The on-site housing allowed us to spend extra time with the wedding party and family in a relaxed, informal setting. Our wedding day coordinator, Logan, was amazing. She was with us every step of the way from the rehearsal through the end of the reception. She was very relaxed and upbeat throughout the process, keeping everyone calm and the activities on schedule. The lead up time to a wedding can be stressful, but she took all the stress away so we could really enjoy the whole day. Jeanne was the officiant and so many of our friends and family commented on the beauty of the ceremony. Jeanne incorporated so many wonderful and thoughtful elements in the service. Everyone there could feel the love surrounding the wedding couple and the entire wedding party. The reception tent was perfect and configured exactly how requested. There was more than enough room for the 125 people at the wedding. The DJ kept the large dance floor well occupied until after the last dance when the after party started at the Field House.If you or anyone you know is planning a wedding in the Asheville area, we highly recommend Hidden River.

We cannot express how AMAZING everything was! Everyone made it so incredibly easy! With the weather being rainy off and on all day it could have been so much more stressful but Logan (our Day of Coordinator) and team jumped in wherever needed, improvised, and just made everything so perfect. The ease of planning was great and they worked with us to make it special by adding potted shamrocks and faux shamrocks scattered throughout since our wedding was on Saint Patrick's Day. The florists were phenomenal, the food was absolutely delicious (we chose BBQ), the DJ was a blast, and the bartenders were so personable. Everyone was so kind and helpful and I truly have nothing negative to say.

We found this gem online and it did NOT disappoint. They are all inclusive and provided for my daughter's wedding from A to Z. The flowers are all from their gardens. The food was fantastic. The venue is absolutely stunning, and the staff was fabulous. They walked us through every aspect of the wedding, from planning to execution. They even have houses to stay at for your wedding party and guests. We trusted them and were 100% right in doing so.

The venue was gorgeous, and my guests enjoyed the venue very much, especially the kids who had grass space and animals to remain entertained. To say that our wedding weekend at Hidden River Events was magical would be a drastic understatement; this place, and its people, are absolutely extraordinary. The all-inclusive but fully customizable planning structure makes it easy to get your day exactly right, with as little or as much outsourcing vendors as you like. What is included is amazing; horse drawn carriage, all the infrastructure, signage, etc was a list of both everything we needed, plus some really special extras.The farm is so stunning in every season, but especially on May when the side field had exploded into yellow buttercup blossoms and everything was green with spring. Our ceremony down at the River Cove was set to the background of the rushing water and bathed in dappled sunlight.We were blown away by the genuine love from each staff member, from the care they took to make each detail perfect, and the easy, calm energy with which everybody operated. It was unlike any wedding I've ever been part of in that we were all relaxed and having an amazing time from start to finish. Haley and Trevor were our Day of Coordinators and they were excellent, capable, and sweet. Ivy took us through the planning process with ease, and Anne's Custom Catering was extraordinary. Haley and Trevor were our Day of Coordinators and they were excellent, capable, and sweet. Ivy took us through the planning process with ease, and Anne's Custom Catering was extraordinary. The in house floral staff was incredible, and did a stunning job with our arrangements. Trust this team, they will not let you down.We're beyond grateful we found Hidden River. We can't imagine our wedding having taken place anywhere else. To say that our wedding weekend at Hidden River Events was magical would be a drastic understatement; this place, and its people, are absolutely extraordinary. The all-inclusive but fully customizable planning structure makes it easy to get your day exactly right, with as little or as much outsourcing vendors as you like. What is included is amazing; horse drawn carriage, all the infrastructure, signage, etc was a list of both everything we needed, plus some really special extras.The farm is so stunning in every season, but especially on May when the side field had exploded into yellow buttercup blossoms and everything was green with spring. Our ceremony down at the River Cove was set to the background of the rushing water and bathed in dappled sunlight.We were blown away by the genuine love from each staff member, from the care they took to make each detail perfect, and the easy, calm energy with which everybody operated. It was unlike any wedding I've ever been part of in that we were all relaxed and having an amazing time from start to finish. She also served as our officiant, adding a very special touch to the wedding day. When you book a wedding at Hidden River, you get wedding planner support (thank you Grace and Ivy!), day of coordinator support, and access to some seriously amazing vendors that Jeanne has worked with for many years. All of our vendors were exceptional, including the catering, our photographer Erica Mueller, the bartenders (so great!!), the florist (more beautiful that I could have imagined). The property itself is simply gorgeous, and has a feel like you are out in the countryside, but is also very close to Asheville and Black Mountain, making it easy for your guests to explore the area. There are 7 houses on-site for your guests to stay, which was a major selling point for us. This allowed so many of our friends and family to stay on-site with us. I cannot recommend this venue enough, it was a fantastic experience planning and having our wedding here. We will cherish it forever, and we will have to come back for future anniversaries. My daughter's wedding was a few months ago at Hidden River. I would highly recommend it. We took the entire package, venue, flowers, dj, photographer and lodging. The contract was very clear and there were no surprises or hidden fees. We had great weather which made the whole day extra magical and extraordinary but I think it would have been great in the rain, the tent is large and sturdy. My daughter did most of the planning, I just made the payments, but the experience surpassed our expectations.

We got married at Hidden river events in late June 2021 on Friday with about 55 guests. We did not stay on the property. Everything was PERFECT. Jeanne told us when we toured Hidden river that their goal is to make you feel relaxed on your wedding day, my first thought was well that sounds perfect but how could this be true. I had already dabbled a little bit in wedding planning without the all inclusive package in my hometown and was stressed from day 1. Well I am here to tell you they lived up their promise! Ivy and Grace helped with most of our planning and then we had Ashley as day of coordinator. They were super fast with communication and worked well as a team. They were laid back which helped the no stress vibe on the wedding day. They made planning easy with a well organized wedding webpage. We planned the whole thing from out of town. The venue is unbelievably beautiful. I mean breath taking! We picked Jesse Kitt as our photographer. She knows the lay of the land as she has been photographing weddings there for about 13 years. She took gorgeous pictures and was super organized. Flowers are included in the package and they were beautiful. I didn’t do a flower consultation (it’s extra) but I was super happy and honestly it was 1 less decision I had to make. We picked the fajita bar and it was delicious, people really enjoyed the different sauces and there was variety for all diet restrictions. The DJ was awesome. This is something I was worried about as we never talked to the DJ we only submitted a DJ form but he was great! The bar tenders were top notch! The made each cocktail individual and you could tell they knew there stuff. The cake was good, not awesome but good. I seriously don’t have 1 complaint. I would get married there again in a heartbeat!

We received more compliments than we could have ever imagined about how special the ceremony was. We had friends saying they took notes during the ceremony and we received a message from another friend saying that she and her partner are bringing home some things they learned from our weekend to work on as a couple. The moment that we stopped for the rain stood out to everyone under the tent as she created a space that slowed everyone down for those few minutes to just be present. Jeanne has such a gift and we are honored that we were lucky enough to have that moment with you. The whole planning team was so easy to work with and helped keep us on track along the way. They made the planning process... dare I say... easy?Everyone loved the food, Erica Mueller (photographer with Hidden River) was amazing, the flowers were gorgeous... literally incredible flowers. Such a special weekend because of the space at Hidden River. The planning process from start to finish: Excellent communication, accommodating, easy. Every person I interacted with, whether staff of Hidden River or a hired vendor, was incredibly kind, talented, and delightful to work with. And of course, the beauty and peace of the location felt unmatched. I got the wedding of my dreams without 90% of the stress (I don't think you can take 100% of the stress out of any wedding planning, but HRE gets as close as possible). Our goal in picking a wedding venue was to find a place to relax and enjoy the celebration with our family & friends. If it wasn't fun we took it off our to-do list. We were married here last May. Everything was absolutely perfect! Grace ( the wedding planner/event coordinator) is amazing, she handled my nerves-- it was raining earlier in the day and stopped just in time for the ceremony. She handled all the details so we didn't have to worry about a single thing. We had a small wedding (35-40) so everyone was able to stay on site for the weekend with us. Grace managed the staff, caterers, florist, musicians, DJ, etc and didn't need any additional information from us which I really appreciated.\r\rWedding planning came down to checking boxes and asking Grace to coordinate the vendors, as Asheville is a small area she was familiar with the appropriate folks and able to make what we envisioned happen.\r\rInitially, I was reticent to use the florist they recommended, but had a long conversation with Grace & Cynthia (the florist) and all the flowers from my bouquet, to ceremony site, to reception were perfect.\r\rJeanne officiated our ceremony, she took time to understand what we wanted and our faith tradition and is an all around awesome individual.\r\rCan not recommend this place enough if you're looking for a no-fuss wedding where someone else handles all the worries and details and you get to show up and enjoy! \r\rMy caveat would be, if you're super detail-oriented and into being 'in-control' this may not be the place for you.\r\rCan't recommend this venue (or Grace) enough!

WOW. I don't know if I can adequately express the level of happiness and appreciation I have towards Hidden River Events. I had my wedding at this venue on 6/28/15 and every thing was absolutely perfect. This venue offers a wedding package that you can customize to your liking. If you go with the full package, they literally take care of everything (with your input on personalizing the event, of course). I truly felt like a guest at my own wedding. We didn't have to worry about setting up anything or taking anything down. When the reception was over, the staff brought our left over alcohol and food up to the cabin we were staying in (on site). Every single person that was working our wedding was extremely professional and caring and made me and my family feel like we were appreciated and that we were special. Jeanne, the owner, is one of the sweetest and loving people I have ever met. Jeanne officiated our wedding (included in the package) and did an outstanding job. I honestly wish I could relive the day over and over again; it was that perfect.

Words can't express what Hidden River has done for my husband, Mike & I. From the first email I sent inquiring about the venue & services until the end of our reception, the staff took care of us and made us feel like we were apart of their family. \"Staff\" doesn't even seem an appropriate word for the people we worked with over the months leading up to our wedding. Everyone-- Jeanne(#1 & #2!), Grace, Cynthia, Jesse, Valentine, Anne....I mean EVERYONE that was involved in our wedding was so kind, warm, approachable, flexible, and professional. They took care of everything that needed to be done and were on top of their game....they did their jobs so well, but even more than that, they felt like family while they did it. We went with their Mountain Elegance Package which utilized all of their preferred vendors (flowers, photography, DJ, dinner, cake, etc) and were thrilled with the results. The food for the rehearsal and reception as well as out cakes (all prepared by Anne, their preferred caterer) are still being talked about (a month after our wedding)! We took advantage of the engagement photo session with Jesse Kitt, included in our package, and we instantly fell in love with Jesse. Her work is amazing and we felt so comfortable the whole time we worked with her. My husband and I live in Cleveland, OH & Jeanne, the owner & our Officiant was kind enough to let us stay on the property in one of the on-site houses over Thanksgiving several months before our wedding so that we could do the engagement session with Jesse-- things like this set HR apart from other Wedding Venues-- it's not all about the money and business for them (though they do run an excellent business!).... it's truly about the people they work with and their love for what they do. Jeanne's officiant services were exactly what we wanted-- she provides you with so many options and ideas of things to include in your ceremony and truly listens to what you want & then delivers. All of our guests said that our ceremony was so true to us as a couple and many said it was the most authentic, beautiful ceremony they'd ever seen. Grace, the venue's wedding planner, is an incredibly sweet woman and so responsive to any questions or requests we had throughout planning. She always made me feel calm and honored. Cynthia, the florist was also incredibly responsive to our ideas and created stunning arrangements that were exactly what we wanted. There's also on-site housing for 3 nights for up to 50 guests, which was so great to have-- though not as luxurious as a nice hotel, the places were comfortable and so convenient-- our guests raved about how great it was to stay onsite. We were able to host a whole wedding weekend at a great price, having field games outside, our rehearsal dinner, and a bonfire during the days/nights leading up to our wedding. I could just write on and on about the incredible experience we had with HR, but I'll stop now. If you love the outdoors and have a rustic style, do yourself a favor and have your wedding here-- we couldn't have asked for a better place to start our married life together & we are already planning our next trip down to visit!

Our wedding at Hidden River Events was wonderful. The staff took care of every detail, and everyone really was free to enjoy themselves. It was so \"easy\" to plan my wedding from afar with the all-inclusive package, which still allowed us to make many choices and create exactly the event we wanted. They work with spectacular vendors (catering, photography), and I totally trusted that they would help make our day special. The on-site lodging was also a great option for our out-of-town guests - they loved staying in such a beautiful location! \rJeanne is a kind and sincere person - we loved her instantly and she was the perfect person to officiate our very special ceremony. \rI am so thankful for Hidden River Events!!

It was so \"easy\" to plan my wedding from afar with the all-inclusive package, which still allowed us to make many choices and create exactly the event we wanted. They work with spectacular vendors (catering, photography), and I totally trusted that they would help make our day special. The on-site lodging was also a great option for our out-of-town guests - they loved staying in such a beautiful location! \rJeanne is a kind and sincere person - we loved her instantly and she was the perfect person to officiate our very special ceremony. \rI am so thankful for Hidden River Events!!

Hidden River is everything I would ever want from a wedding venue. There are so many wonderful settings to choose to have your ceremony in, including next to the Swannanoa River, under beautiful trees, in the wildflower garden, in the center of a pond, and that's just a few of the options. The difficult part is choosing. Despite the quaint location, the destination is a mere five minutes from Asheville, which is a wonderful city to explore with fabulous dining, drinking, music, and hiking in every direction. There's a large permanent tent installation equipped for the reception and dancing, and it doubles as a safety net in case of unfortunate weather. The bathrooms are much nicer than I would have ever expected from an outdoor venue. This location also offers several houses for guests to stay in, so family and friends don't have to go to a hotel! And in case you do need to use a hotel, Hidden River has a bus so your guests don't have to drive (which is great if you'll be serving alcohol!). The bridal house is huge and towers over the property, and the bridal suite within the house is magnificent. I have a thing for large bathrooms, and this house delivered. The balconies on the house (yes, there are more than one) look out over the entire venue. The staff legitimately cares about your wedding and work with you to customize your day to be perfect. The views are amazing, insuring all of your pictures will be flawless. It really takes the stress out of the big day so you can relax and enjoy it! I would highly recommend this location for anyone who wants a rustic feel to their wedding without sacrificing creature comforts. The sheer beauty is unlike any other place I've ever been. If you want a hassle-free outdoor wedding in Western North Carolina, Hidden River is the way to go.

HRE is amazing. I had Indian wedding. As some people may know, they can be complicated. We had events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Hidden River. Grace, Jeannie and the staff were amazing. We went through all their vendors and they handled just about everything. They are professional and responsive. The venue is truly beautiful. One of the reasons I chose HRE was because of how peaceful it made me feel. To be surrounded by nature and the mountains was wonderful and beautiful. You can't beat price for everything they offer. \r\rI was really sad to go since wedding planning took 7 months of my life. I can't wait to go back and visit.

But more importantly, the Hidden River team is excellent at what they do... professional, capable, imaginative, friendly -- and best of all -- truly committed to helping you create and experience an enjoyable, meaningful, memorable wedding. \r\rI know I sound like a brochure at the moment, but our experience at Hidden River moved me from a \"stereotypical guy\" attitude of \"eh, I'm going to have a wedding\" to \"wow, I just had a unique, personal, fantastic, life-memorable experience!\"\r\rJeanne and Grace were incredibly helpful and encouraging (and patient) during the planning phase. And they added \"masterful\" to that list in how they handled the event logistics. \r\rDuring and after the wedding we kept hearing our guests gushing, unprompted, about how much they enjoyed the place and the event. And that speaks volumes about the magic that is Hidden River... because ours was an Indian wedding with events over the course of 3 days and many complicated logistics.\r\rThey're good a what they do. Hidden river was the greatest decision I made to get married at. Grace and Jeanne were an amazing help throughout the entire process. They were always willing to help me with any questions that I had and wanted to make sure that it went all as planned. The whole day was amazing! The entire day felt like it was a dream come true; the weather was perfect and the whole set up was breath taking. Jesse kitt did awesome with the pictures. The pictures are something that I will honestly treasure forever, she caught moments throughout the whole event that still make me smile. I couldn't of been happier about everything at hidden river and I would recommend that place to anyone to get married! Thank you all for everything !! I will never forget the hard work you all put in to that day to make my dream wedding come true! :)

From the moment my husband and I first saw Hidden Rivers, we absolutely fell in love and knew that there would not be a better place for our wedding! Jeanne and Grace were beyond helpful with the planning and getting things together and ready. They were both helpful, kind, and went above and beyond what they needed to do for our wedding. Honestly, I kept waiting for something to go wrong because for the most part something usually does, but everything went completely perfect. I’m serious, it did! The ceremony was enjoyable, the food was amazing, the photographer and DJ were awesome, and the decorations and atmosphere were both unbelievable. Everyone who attended our wedding was amazed at the beauty of Hidden Rivers and fell in love with the venue about as quickly as my husband and I did. We are so happy that we went with Hidden River!! Our family and friends are still telling us that our wedding was the best they've ever been to!!! It was truly beautiful, words can't describe how perfect our wedding was. Farm field with horses, a pond, a river, flower garden, view of the mountains, no spot quiet like it!! \r\rDuring our search for a wedding venue we were overwhelmed and disgusted with all the hidden costs (\"you want chairs? Oh that's not included it'll be an extra 7$ a chair. Oh you want a dance floor? That'll be an extra $300\"... and it went on and on...) With Hidden River everything was reasonable and made sense! They weren't trying to rob us by tacking on extra fees for every little thing you would of course need. Everything is included when you choose them as a venue. They also had package options that include food, photography, flowers or you can pick your own. We paid one fee that included our venue (tent, chairs, table clothes, etc), food, cake, and photography, we had a babysitter for small children, and they had a bartender. Our wedding took place on a Friday and we had around 150 guests. There was even a carriage ride to the ceremony site for myself, flower girl, and my parents who walked me down the aisle :) \r\rJeanne officiated our wedding and it was beyond magical. She isn't just running a wedding venue business she genuinely cares about the couples that are getting married. She takes her job seriously and is in it for the right reasons. She takes the time to get to know you and understands and appreciates the commitment and promises you make to one another. She listens and creates a ceremony that represents your beliefs and your unique relationship. \r\rThe wedding planner, Grace, was available to answer all our questions and made planning our wedding easy, we truly couldn't have done it without her! \r\rIf you go with Hidden River, you won't be disappointed!\r

I absolutely loved the venue! It is beautiful and perfect for any bride going for a farm/shabby chic type wedding. The only complaint I have relates to the wedding coordinator at the venue, not the venue itself. If you sign a contract with the venue, you are required to use the wedding coordinator at the site, Grace. Her fee is $500, plus a $75 \"suggested\" gratuity. In my opinion, she didn't really earn the $575, and was a little frustrating to work with. In the months leading up to the wedding, I often had trouble getting a hold of her. She didn't respond to my emails for a week or two, and often times I had to re-send the same email a couple of times before I could get a response. I did most of the planning myself, and we only used two of the \"venue recommended\" vendors, so she didn't have much work to do related to my wedding. However, on the day of the wedding, the musicians kept coming up to my family and asking to be paid. That was supposed to be Grace's job, and it caused my family some stress scrambling trying to find a way to pay them. Grace was no where to be found on the day of the wedding. She was very unorganized and I had to remind her of my wedding details multiple times. In addition, she didn't really keep track of the payments I had been making toward the wedding, which was annoying at times. Overall, I would still recommend this venue, but if you're a very detail-oriented bride that likes organization and quick responses, this venue may cause you more stress than it's worth.

It was a beautiful, unique, and intimate ceremony and reception and not to mention we had a blast on the dance floor! Staff are very friendly and laid back yet organized. The vendors are wonderful and good quality and the whole event was well orchestrated. I highly recommend for the couple that wants a more simple and naturally beautiful wedding with an intimate feel.

We loved making s'mores over the firepit, playing football in the field, and dancing the night away! Kelly, the wedding coordinator, was a great help throughout the months leading up to the wedding and helped keep me calm the day of the wedding. All of the staff was helpful, and polite. The facilities were exactly what we expected and the houses on the property were actually better than we imagined! The onsite housing allowed our family and friends to spend valuable quality time together. We were able to create memories that will last a lifetime. Truly an amazing experience and my words will never do it justice. It was just perfect! Thank you to everyone!

I had my wedding here in June 2012. Kelly Giles, wedding consultant, was great with coordinating with us and the vendors. They have good relationships with a few preferred vendors, who give you a discount if you use them. The only complaints we had were about the DJs provided by HRE. Their iTunes crashed and so they had to play music from YouTube all night. They also mispronounced a few of our bridal parties names. Another thing to keep in mind if you use this facility for a Saturday wedding is that they can schedule other weddings and rehearsal dinners that weekend. They had a wedding and reception at the same time we were having our rehearsal dinner. Some guests were confused as to where to go and we had some party crashers. I think if you pay an extra 1000.00 you have a guarantee that they will not schedule other events on your weekend. But it is a beautiful place to be married. The housing is okay, the house my mom and aunt stayed in the ac unit was not working. but they did not tell management. I'm sure if they had, someone might have come out to fix it. It is expensive, but I'm 80 percent satisfied.

Loved the one-on-one attention from Kelly at Hidden River Events and loved being able to stay out there the week before the wedding. Very convenient to have everything in one place and a great list of tried and true vendors. My only complaint was the DJ--very inexperienced--who was a last minute replacement for our original DJ. We also spent a little bit of time stocking the cabins with toilet paper and other essentials which would have been nice to have had in place already. But overall, a very positive experience. All the guests loved the venue, from the horses to the planted fields, to the on-site cabins! The horse and carriage ride was also a hit with my nephew! Cost looks expensive, but this included access to the property for the whole weekend, housing on site, several built-in \"extras\" (carriage ride, candles/centerpieces/white linens/most of the tableware/etc). Very reasonable when everything is factored in!

Very convenient to have everything in one place and a great list of tried and true vendors. My only complaint was the DJ--very inexperienced--who was a last minute replacement for our original DJ. We also spent a little bit of time stocking the cabins with toilet paper and other essentials which would have been nice to have had in place already. But overall, a very positive experience. All the guests loved the venue, from the horses to the planted fields, to the on-site cabins! The horse and carriage ride was also a hit with my nephew! Cost looks expensive, but this included access to the property for the whole weekend, housing on site, several built-in \"extras\" (carriage ride, candles/centerpieces/white linens/most of the tableware/etc). Very reasonable when everything is factored in!

I couldn't have been happier with Hidden River. The staff was amazing and they made things go so smoothly. I didn't even have to deal directly with vendors. They took care of all of that. The best part was that we were able to rent out the housing on-site so all of our out of town friends could stay there with us all week.

I had an incredible experience with Hidden River Events. The people there are warm, good hearted and laid back, but still very organized and efficient! They are as involved as you need them to be in planning and facilitating, but they're very open minded and let you dictate how you want things done if you have your heart set on something. They have amazing vendor contacts with great deals as well. The property is gorgeous; it's located in a valley with the NC mountains in the background and the Swannanoa river near the back of the property (that's where we had our ceremony). I couldn't say enough good thing about them!

This venue is practicually heaven sent!! The package we chose came with so many wonderful additions, including the DJ, a heated and enclosed tent, and even a horse drawn carriage!! Trust me, that's not even the half of it! Not to mention is has the most glorious view of the blue ridge mountains, I have ever seen! I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to have my reception. I would reccomend this place, and it's wonderful, unforgettably attentive staff to anyone!!

Jeanne Sommer (Owner) I came to the venue/event business after teaching Comparative Religions and Philosophy for 20 years at the college level. In that capacity, former students asked me to officiate their weddings and I saw how stressed they became. I took that 20 years of experience and turned it into a one of a kind, truly all inclusive wedding venue, with pricing known up front because I saw the problems they encountered. Most importantly, I believe in love and that your wedding should be something you want never to end, not something you want over before it begins!
