Historic elegance and charm!
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Carriage House was built in 1908 as part of the Watson family estate called High Gate. It was designed by Horace Trumbauer, architect of The Biltmore Estate. Your wedding will have the elegance of a by-gone era. The elements of character show through with a terra cotta roof and verdigris copper accents that are trademarks of the Tudor Revival Style architecture. The event can be held inside the Carriage House with up to 150 guests or under the high-peaked tent in the garden that can accommodate up to 300 guests.

An excellent experience from beginning to end. Tyler put us at ease from the moment we walked in for a tour. It became clear right away that we couldn't possibly have our wedding anywhere else. Highgate is a very special place. They made a stressful process easy and fun. Our guests loved this venue as well.

Best Venue Ever!!!! Our wedding was yesterday and everyone RAVED about how pretty it was and how little decorations are needed because of the natural beauty. I would give Highgate, Tyler, and everyone involved 10 stars if possible!

The venue was beautiful and Tyler did a wonderful job from start to finish! He even organized a last minute wipe down of all the chairs when a storm blew through just before the ceremony! We highly recommend this venue.

The Highgate Carriage House first of all, is absolutely beautiful! I loved spending time there doing walk throughs, decorating, and on the wedding day. Honestly, it doesn't require being overly decorated because it's gorgeous already. Chasity and Tyler are both very nice to work with, are very quick to answer questions and were on call during the entire rental period. We were very happy with everything.

If I could, I wouldn’t give this place 1 star! Very poor communication about things on the grounds! The person I communicated with from the date we signed the contract and a week until the wedding was no where to be found during our disastrous day. Unsafe walkways that caused numerous falls! 10/10 would NOT recommend! Go spend your money elsewhere and get people who are actually helpful and honest! Our wedding turned out well because we (family, friends, my husband and I) worked our asses off! I have been unable to make a Facebook review so I will start with The Knot. Maybe someone else can be saved from choosing this terrible venue! But hey I guess they at least had two squeegees to help with tent flooding.. so helpful 🙄

This venue is to die for! We had our wedding in January and wanted a venue that would still look beautiful in pictures even in the winter time. The beautiful architecture and well manicured lawns made our pictures turn out more magical that I imagined. Although Ive only seen pictures of it during the spring/summer I believe that, if the venue was gorgeous in the middle of winter, the spring/summer when their garden is in bloom and the fountain is running must be beautiful as well. The staff were very accommodating to wishes, quick to respond/answer questions and were flexible with us moving some of the smaller decor around and out of sight if we wanted to. I also loved that we got the venue for 2.5 days. Setting up the entire day before the wedding was a LIFESAVER!! and not having to worry about cleaning everything up afterwards was so nice for everyone helping out.I highly recommend this venue, we've had so many compliments on it and our pictures!

Highgate Carriage House is such a highly recommendable place to have your wedding! The staff is so nice and willing to help however they can. Our wedding was absolutely gorgeous! We are so happy we went with them!
