Adina Lipschultz(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-09-2022 Tiffany and the Catering By Michaels team were spectacular throughout the entire wedding planning and execution process. Tiffany acted as a liaison working with all of our vendors, and the team made sure that everything went smoothly the day of our wedding. We would recommend this team to anyone looking to hold an event! Reviewed on 22-11-2022

Paula DeBofsky(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-09-2020 With Covid, plans changed. As the mother of the bride, we thankfully were able to us the Highland Park Country Club. Not knowing how it might work or what to expect, the end result was the best! Tiffany Otis was so helpful, so patient, so great to work with. It was a beautiful event, and the food was delicious. Every aspect of that day worked perfectly! Thank you Tiffany Otis. Reviewed on 26-09-2020

Lisa Allegretti(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-06-2013 After an exhaustive search of venues in the city, we decided to broaden our scope a bit -- and I couldn't be happier that we did. HPCC offered everything I wanted from my city wedding at a fraction of the cost. \r\rWe had about 120 people. The club allowed us to negotiate our contracted food and beverage minimum, even though we were getting married in the prime month of June. We were able to mix and match menu items to customize our entrees, and they were ready to create new options if what they had didn't suit our needs. \r\rEverything was well-prepared and beautifully plated the day of the wedding. Guests were very complimentary of the food -- one going so far as to say she's dreamt of her filet since.\r\rWe were able to customize our bar package and request additions to their normal offerings. We also were able to bring in special bottles for the bridal party without any corkage fees, and open a cash bar before the ceremony to accommodate guests coming in on an early hotel shuttle.\r\rKelly responded quickly to any questions I had, so I never felt like I was leaving my wedding in less-than-capable hands. And Izzy was a prince the day of, taking care of any last-minute requests (and in our case, RSVPs) with aplomb.\r\rWe had our ceremony outside, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The Pro Shop manager took us out onto the course for photos (bridges, water features, lots of pretty trees), ensuring that the bridal party and the golfers got what they needed (we had a small party; it might not be possible for larger parties).\r\rIf I had to mention a downside, and if you are looking to save costs by using an iPod instead of a DJ, this might not be the place for you. The CC has an older, CD-only sound system. They will be upgrading, but I don't know how soon. \r\r Reviewed on 10-07-2013
Stephanie Holub(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-10-2012 I had both my wedding ceremony/reception here in October 2012. The banquet room is very spacious and it's nice that there is only one event going on at any given time. The golf grounds are also very pretty in the fall and is a great backdrop for pictures! Prices are fairly reasonable too and there is room for negotiation which is nice.\r\rOur biggest issues surrounded communication between the staff and us leading up to the wedding (some staff were phenomenal, others not as much). For example, we provided our guests with meal choices for the reception. The staff at the country club never asked us for a breakdown of how many meals were at each table. Thank goodness we had hired a day-of wedding planner who spent cocktail hour going through our placecards to get the banquet coordinator the information he needed. Without her doing that, dinner would have probably lasted for much longer than planned! \r\rEven so, I still would recommend the Highland Park CC for wedding receptions/ceremonies although would encourage those brides/grooms to consider either hiring a wedding planner or ensuring that there is a trusted individual who will be overseeing the day of festivities to make sure things go smoothly. Also, expect to have to remain persistent when it comes to getting answers to questions. Reviewed on 02-12-2012
Jennifer Mantegna(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-07-2012 I had my wedding here and loved it. The place is beautiful and the wedding coordinator is very helpful. The food was great, I received so many comments on how could the food was. The price was reasonable. They work with you on the pricing, it it's out of your price range. We had our ceremony outside and it turned out beautiful and our reception was inside which was also beautiful. I would recommend this venue. Reviewed on 16-08-2012
ANGELA BANKS(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-08-2011 This is a great place to have a wedding. Although it rained and I didn't have my outside wedding as planned, the indoor ballroon was a great alternative. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Food was excellent. My guests are still talking about it. Reviewed on 31-08-2011
Emily Zarefsky(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-08-2010 This was a great place to have our wedding. The food was wonderful! We received many compliments from our guests. The wedding package was very reasonable and included a cake from a very reputable bakery (Oak Mill Bakery). There were a few SMALL issues that involved communication, but everything worked out well, it just took a bit of time in some cases. Everything went really smoothly the day of the wedding. Afterward, we realized some table runners and napkins weren't put out -- not entirely HPCC's fault-- but they refunded our money very quickly, while the linen company dragged their feet about getting back to us. Very classy! Overall, very good experience with a beautiful location for the ceremony. Reviewed on 17-11-2010
Ellen Degen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-05-2010 I grew up in Highland Park and wanted to have my wedding there. The HP Country Club has been recently renovated and is a truly beautiful space. The ballroom overlooks the golf course. With reservation of the ballroom, we also got use of the 2 bar areas and patio. We used one for the cocktail hour and the other for during and after dinner drinks. They also provide a small bridal suite that can be locked to keep any personal items in. Mark Kelley is a pleasure to work with and there is no need for a wedding coordinator. Their catering menu is recently revamped and Chef Z did an amazing job on the hors d'oeuvres and all our dinner courses. We got many compliments on our food. The price per person is reasonable compared to other Chicago area venue locations. Reviewed on 15-08-2010
