Hillcrest Country Club Reviews
Brittany Katona(other)5 out of 5 Rating
My husband and I got married at Hillcrest and couldn’t say enough positive things about our experience. We were so pleased with the dedicated staff who went above and beyond to make our big day so wonderful. The day went smoothly, as well as the months leading up to the wedding. We had timely communication with Holly and Jacinta throughout the process and they answered all of our concerns and questions. Danielle and her catering staff were also amazing to work with. They always made sure the guests were happy, especially the bridal party, by checking on them multiple times throughout the day. To my knowledge, all of the vendors had great things to say about Hillcrest as well. We loved the building architecture and landscaping, but Hillcrest just recently had a remodel in the reception hall, which made our day look that much better. The food on wedding day was even better than the taste-test and guests kept commenting on how much they loved the passed appetizers. No detail was forgotten and would recommend to engaged couples! Christina B(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-05-2017 Hillcrest is a beautiful and affordable place to have a Friday wedding. The food was absolutely excellent and our coordinator Tracy was delighted to offer us a tasting. The salmon was the best I ever had and our guests were very happy with the food. We were able to decorate the room the day before and the neutral color pallette looked lovely. My only suggestion is to be sure to dim the lights as the sun sets. I had candles and the lights were kind of bright when the sun went down. Everyone was very helpful and they did a great job keeping us on our timeline. Reviewed on 27-08-2017
Bethany Crocker(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-07-2016 We got married here in, and the whole we loved it. It is an absolutely beautiful place, the staff were very helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious. I was disappointed with the bar, though. We were assured that the bartenders were very well trained, and that we would need 4 of them for our wedding size. We only had 2, and neither of them seemed to have any experience bar-tending. The drinks were incredibly strong (we definitely got our money's worth out of the alcohol); the common comment was \"That was jack with a splash of coke.\" Guests had to dilute their own drinks; my brother is a trained bar tender and was running around helping people figure out what to order to make their drinks actually drinkable. One of our guests was very obviously drunk with an hour left to go in the bar, and the bartenders continued to serve her; she ultimately fell over a table and chair and was taken home by a friend. Not quite the \"well trained\" service we were expecting. On the whole, though, we had a very enjoyable experience. Golfers that day were very friendly to us and considerate of us running all over the place. Reviewed on 12-12-2016
Ashley Swackhamer(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2016 AMAZING RECEPTION VENUE! My (now) husband and I are not golfers or apart of the Hillcrest Country club and were still able to book this venue (for a better price than most venues). Our reception turned out to be our dream wedding, the photos at the Hillcrest are to die for! Beautiful! The food is delicious from their in house caterer and their wedding coordinator takes you step by step. They even have in house linens and someone to get the linens you want. We highly recommend this Venue. Reviewed on 25-10-2016

Michela Moats(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-08-2016 We had our wedding reception here and they were amazing. They walked us through the entire way and if there was any concerns they addressed them and resolved them promptly. It was such a beautiful place, I couldn't imagine having our wedding reception anyplace else. Reviewed on 13-09-2016
Brooke Mattson(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-06-2014 The venue is beautiful inside and out. The staff is very accommodating. Overall we had a nice experience. There were a couple of small mishaps with dinner. Reviewed on 24-06-2014
Lindsay Nagelmann(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-09-2013 I've been to 10 weddings this summer including my own this summer. Hillcrest was my absolute favorite venue. Hillcrest and their staff were very organized and catered to me and all my guests perfectly! It was the best food, hands down. They had people walking around serving guests drinks, and bussing tables. It was so great! Reviewed on 10-10-2013
Johanne Eliacin(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-08-2013 When we booked Hillcrest, we were very excited about the venue. The events coordinator was very friendly, showed us around, pointed out beautiful areas for photos, and won us over. Unfortunately, she left Hillcrest a few months before the wedding. The new coordinator was not responsive, constantly had issues with the details, and (most of all) she was not friendly at all. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, thinking that she was overwhelmed with the previous coordinator leaving.\r\rThe day of our wedding was incredible, the ceremony was beautiful, and all of our vendors were wonderful (I highly suggest all of them). But again, the new coordinator was very rude. We were supposed to have a golf cart to take us to some of the prettiest spots on the venue, but they did not have one for us. So we went to take photos outside where the previous coordinator had shown us. The new coordinator came out and told us that that area was just for members, and we were not able to get photos taken with our families outside. The coordinator was also very rude to the maid of honor when simple questions were asked. The food was cold when served. We paid them to cut and serve the cake, but very few people got it offered to them. My wife's \"throwing\" bouquet was lost. We were ensured, very rudely, that they didn't have it. After throwing one of the bridemaid's bouquets, they located the bouquet. No apologies, she just spoke poorly of her staff.\r\rWe were very happy, and are both very laid back individuals and able to let things go. But I would strongly advise NOT choosing Hillcrest as your venue. I really can't overemphasize how rudely we were treated. Reviewed on 08-10-2013
Adrienne Butler(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-06-2013 After viewing and researching several venues, we found Hillcrest. We immediately fell in love. From the architecture to the food to the wonderful Event Coordinator, Brooke. She was great to work with, gave expert advice and helped make our day run smoothly. The ballroom is very classy with wooden beams on the ceiling, several huge arched windows, fireplaces and chandeliers. It really makes for a great event space. The grounds were beautiful and we utilized them for pictures. We have received so many compliments from our guests about the venue, food and drink! Everyone was very happy!\r\rWe would definitely recommend this venue for your future events. Reviewed on 17-07-2013
