Hillside Farms
We are a unique rustic venue just outside of Tenino that offers a beautiful layout for your event with amazing views of the foothills. There are two cabins onsite built with locally sourced wood for exterior live edge siding. Each cabin has it's own private restroom and area to prepare for your day. The exterior of the barn was handcrafted using wood siding sourced and milled by a local 91 year old Sawyer. His picture is proudly displayed onsite behind the bar he cut the wood slabs for. We are constantly making improvements at the farm. Our current projects that we just completed was a new driveway accessing 143rd at the bottom of our hill and a fire pit located next to a custom concrete bench. Current pricing which includes: 12 hour rental (10am-10pm), 60" round tables, white resin chairs, white linens, parking attendant and garbage service is $5800 for Saturday's, $5400 for Friday's and $5400 for Sundays. - Feel free to call 360-918-6495 to schedule a tour of the venue.

Paul was extremely helpful every step of the way, allowing us to visit the venue twice before booking and yet again during the planning process. He is very communicative and quick to respond to both emails and texts! This venue was everything I wanted in a simple, modern barn with beautiful nature elements. We loved getting married in front of the grand wisteria with a lavender field to the side. Another fantastic element of this venue was the way in which the barn doors opened to allow for the dance floor to be both inside and outside on a hot summer evening. The only thing was challenging on our end was that we had very large bridal parties and got ready offsite due to our groups of 8 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen as they did not fit in the getting ready suites. Overall, we are so pleased to have selected Hillside Farms as the site of the best day ever. This venue will always hold a very special place in our hearts!

Amazing venue and owners!!! We fell in love with it the first time we saw it and the big day was perfect! All our guests kept telling us how wonderful it was too. The owner and his family helped ever step of the way to make it seamless. They are one of the kindest and most helpful people. I would recommend this to anyone.

Paul was absolutely amazing to work with, he was always quick to answer questions and showed us the venue multiple times. He was a great help during setup and in spite of a medical emergency the day of Paul made sure he was back on site in time to support us during the event. The venue was absolutely gorgeous and we received multiple compliments through out the day. We would absolutely host another event here:)

The best day of our lives! This venue was spectacular!! Paul and his family were so easy going and helpful! Anything we needed, they were there to provide. Any questions we had, they were there to answer them! The whole day was so smooth! The venue itself was gorgeous, beautiful trees surrounded and greenery everywhere! He sets up and takes down all tables/tablecloths/chairs and helped us with garbage and clean up. We couldnât have asked for a better venue!

We did a Christmas themed wedding. Was perfect with all the Christmas lights and Christmas tree. We had about 100 guests. Everything went super smooth even though we had to stay indoors because of bad weather. They had good heating options so our guests were comfortable throughout the evening. Super easy to work with from beginning to end. Thank you for a perfect day!

This venue was beautiful and worked out perfectly for our August wedding. We had about 160 guests. The ceremony was on the lawn and reception/dancing inside the barn. Paul worked with us throughout the planning process and was very flexible with decoration/setup requests we had leading up to the wedding. We had a mobile bar and food truck on the patio and it worked out great. Lots of beautiful photos and memories with our friends and family here. We definitely recommend Hillside Farms!

Hillside Farms is probably one of the most stunning wedding venues Iâve laid eyes on- and then, wasnât even remotely finished! (2017) My fiancĂ© and I booked Hillside farms back in Summer of 2017 for a wedding of August 17th, 2019. Unfortunately, lots of hiccups on both sides lead to us deciding that our wedding would not be held here. (Baby was due August 20th and multiple vendors canceling on us prior) They have dealt with unnecessary backlash from a neighbor dragging them through the mud, or as I call it, hell and back. Paul has always been an outstanding guy in our eyes. Replied to every email, every phone call or text promptly. We have yet to receive our deposit back but i know in time and good faith that they will repay us as discussed. Iâve had lengthy conversations with Paul on what theyâve endured. I can only imagine the financial hiccup this created. This family deserves this venue to be successful. Too many hours of hard labor and love put into it. Yes, some may have had other experiences, but let me reassure you they want their venue to open and run smoothly! I hope 2020 is their year! Give them a call - let their genuine selves shine! Paul was excellent to work with, even the day after our wedding - when he was hosting another event - and we stopped by to pick up some food that had gotten left behind. The venue is simple, clean and well thought out. We're still getting compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how well our wedding turned out a year later!

At first we were blown away with the affordability and thought Hillside was going to be a great place to host our wedding. We had a change of plans and decided not to go the route of the traditional wedding. After knowing they were not permitted to be hosting weddings, they did not offer our deposit back. I reached out to express my concerns and that it felt really distasteful as a business to operate that way. Omitting information and hiding it really aren't all that different. Paul agreed to refund half our deposit. Not one of my emails or phone calls have been returned since JULY and it is my understanding that they are still booking brides knowing they cannot accommodate them!

This venue was shut down two weeks before my wedding! He sent out emails to âeveryoneâ but it went straight to my husbands junk mail and he never even sent me one. He didnât follow up with calls making sure we knew about it. We would have shown up on our wedding day to a closed venue if my husband had not called to ask a question. Yes, he did give us our money back, but last minute trying to find another venue that had our date open was a hassle; one that we should not of had to deal with. On December 27, 2017 they had submitted an application for a driveway permit that the county said they needed. We met with them for the first time on December 29, 2017. He never stated anything about not having all the permits for the venue. On March 12, 2018 they were pending on a second access to the driveway; still not having said anything to either me or my husband. The first email he sent out to everyone was August 3, 2018... 3 weeks before my wedding! Again, it went straight to me husbands junk email and it was never sent to me. We did not find out until the twelfth of August when we called him on a question. On the phone later he tried to help us other venue options but he was not a whole lot of help because all he could say was what was wrong with everyone else. He does not accept responsibility for his actions, or lack there of. I do not encourage anyone in having any sort of event here. If there is a problem he will just put a cover over his eyes and hope it goes away.

I had no idea about any of it until it was to late, and I was scrambling literally the day before my wedding thinking I wasn't even going to get married anymore. Stay away from this place no matter what they tell you!!!!!! Too many issues!

Absolutely perfect spot for a rustic wedding. We recently had our wedding here and it was unbelievable. Paul the owner was on site and ensured our tables and chairs were exactly how we wanted everything laid out along with the wine barrels. We had a couple mishaps with forgetting some supplies, but Hillside had extra wire, tape, nails etc. so there was never a panic to get things decorated. Huge thank you for helping make our day absolutely perfect!! The pictures and view was stunning. If you want a laid back environment with scenic views and helpful staff, this is the place. Looking forward to celebrating our anniversary here when we renew our vows in the future. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We had put down a deposit and my fiancĂ© was diagnosed with a horrible disease within 2 months of us putting down our deposit. Mind you there was still 7-8 months before the date we reserved... Paul said he would work with us on giving our deposit back and he totally blew us off because he couldnât find someone to fill that date. Itâs not like we had cancelled within a month or he had put himself out and lost potential to fill it ... it was pure greed and lack of caring for people. Would NEVER recommend this place after that. Where are the good people in this world? I guess that scripture tattoo on his arm is all for show not because he was truely a caring man.

I had my wedding here in late Oct, 2017, and we can't say enough good things! The venue is absolutely perfect! It has a lovely outdoor grass lawn with views of the countryside, a cool side patio where we had a cocktail hour, and the beautiful inside of the barn is picturesque. The craftsmanship of the barn is impressive, and the white lights twinkling through the space add incredible ambiance. Paul, the owner, has thought about every small detail.Paul was easy to work with and communicate with. He was onsite and was flexible to help with needs - he helped to make the day stress free. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the grounds and building were. I can't think of a better place or better owners. Thank you for making our day perfect!

Meet the Hillside Farms Team
Paul (Owner) My wife and I started in the wedding industry back in 2002. The vision of creating this venue dates clear back in 2008, when the plans were intially drawn up in Eatonville. After life took some unexpected turns, this opportunity came up and we couldn't pass this by.
