We had our wedding reception at the Hilton for about 215 people. It was a great location for out-of-town guests to stay, delicious food for a buffet reception, and the staff are so easy to work with. The space did not feel too crowded or too open and the guests loved being able to see the Mississippi River at night. Jaynie was our point of contact and made all of our planning so easy and seamless! Jaynie and her team will make sure you have a timely response on any questions and will guarantee to have a night of your dreams!

We had our wedding reception at the Hilton for about 215 people. It was a great location for out-of-town guests to stay, delicious food for a buffet reception, and the staff are so easy to work with. The space did not feel too crowded or too open and the guests loved being able to see the Mississippi River at night. Jaynie was our point of contact and made all of our planning so easy and seamless! Jaynie and her team will make sure you have a timely response on any questions and will guarantee to have a night of your dreams!

We chose the Hilton Capitol Center for our ceremony AND venue because 90% of our family and guest would be coming from out of town. I received several compliments from the guest that this made everything so much easier. I will start with my Hilton coordinator, Jaynie who is a 100% Professional. Jaynie was prompt in responding to every email. Her attitude was outstanding. She was with me from the beginning conversations, building our menu, ballroom layout, through to the wedding day. If I needed an on sight meeting to bring in my florist, or just had additional questions, she was more than happy to accommodate. The Hilton hosts a food tasting for all persons planning upcoming events. We had a taste of everything on their catered menu. Truly delicious from the wide array of appetizers, to the Blackened Prime Rib and the Orange Jalapeño Braised Brisket. The menu was well thought out with many appetizing options to choose from. Gourmet Mac N Cheese Bar, Seafood Bar, Carving Station, a table with a variety of gumbo's and bisque, fruit and Louisiana charcuterie display, all set up as they would appear at your reception. The Hilton offered very competitive pricing for our guest rooms. Monet, the Group Room Coordinator watched as our block was filling up and added additional rooms as needed. This was all done behind the scenes, just a little something extra that the Hilton handled for us without even being asked. For the reception, Felicia assisted us along with Jaynie ensuring that every detail was being handled. We truly never had to worry about the small details which on a wedding day is a true blessing. Between these two women and my wedding coordinator, we were all in constant contact which resulted in a beautiful wedding and reception. For guest arrivals, the bellman and valet staff were excellent. Herb was in charge of this area. All of the bellmen/valets met my guest with smiles and eagerness to assist. Herb gave us exceptional service. The personnel at the front desk were very professional and accommodating. The Hilton guest rooms were very well appointed and clean. The wedding was on the 10th floor Heidelberg Ballroom, it exuded true elegance; beautifully decorated with high ceilings and lovely fixtures. After the ceremony we provided a champagne table for our guest as they took the elevators to the 1st floor Riverview Ballroom where our reception was held. This room overlooks the river and is quite stunning. Large enough to accommodate plenty of guest, and our 16' x 30' stage and a 24' x 24' dance floor . Jaynie helps you with the design of the room, including the size of the stage and dance floor and Felicia and her staff carry out that design. The ballroom personnel during our reception were very helpful. The servers were skilled and kept the guest able to move quickly from station to station. The room as a whole was beautifully set up with all the silver serving dishes, and the table cloths and skirting are all new. As a special touch ,the Hilton provides the newly married couple a private meal in the Magnolia Room before they enter the reception. Bettie provided exceptional service for the couple in this area. The Hilton also provided us a black town car for the couples departure. The car was very clean and detailed thanks to Herb. I highly recommend the Hilton Capitol Center for your wedding venue. This was truly a night to remember.

Our wedding ceremony and reception at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center was truly flawless. The sales team, coordination staff, and waitstaff were all extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. Kaleigh was extremely thorough during the planning process and turned our unique vision into a beautiful reality. Kellie arranged our room blocks and ensured that my husband, myself, and our guests were spoiled from the moment we checked in to the venue until we checked out. We could not have dreamed of a better experience and are so happy that we decided on the Hilton as our wedding venue. I highly recommend the Hilton to all Baton Rouge area brides that want to do less planning and more partying!

Our wedding ceremony and reception at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center was truly flawless. The sales team, coordination staff, and waitstaff were all extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. Kaleigh was extremely thorough during the planning process and turned our unique vision into a beautiful reality. Kellie arranged our room blocks and ensured that my husband, myself, and our guests were spoiled from the moment we checked in to the venue until we checked out. We could not have dreamed of a better experience and are so happy that we decided on the Hilton as our wedding venue. I highly recommend the Hilton to all Baton Rouge area brides that want to do less planning and more partying!

The Heidelburg Ballroom on the 10th floor was the perfect place for our reception!! We had a crazy day leading up to the reception, as ALL of downtown Baton Rouge lost power around noon and it was not restored until 4 that afternoon!!!! Luckily, our reception was later in the evening. The staff at the Hilton was so so amazing in handling things despite this major hiccup. They managed to get the kitchen up and running on a generator to ensure that all of our food was prepared in time. The elevators were also on a backup generator. The coordinator could not have been more reassuring to us the entire day. She remained in contact and provided constant updates throughout the day. It turned out to be such a BEAUTIFUL night thanks to all of their hardwork. During the planning process, we were a little worried about the ballroom being too crowded since we had about 200 guests, but having the foyer area and the balconies really adds a lot of extra room. The planning process was super stress-free since the Hilton's staff was so friendly and professional. Everyone still talks about how delicious the food and cocktails were!! Definitely recommend this place for anyone trying to decide on their reception venue.

Wow. This is such a difficult review to write. I have always adored the Heidelberg Room and the history associated with this hotel. Everyone that we worked with was so kind and helpful, with the exception of Ellie. Ellie became our point of contact after Grace (who was wonderful) mysteriously departed a few months before our date. Grace always responded quickly, answered our questions thoroughly and was a joy to work with. Ellie took forever to respond, wasn't clear and was completely unavailable the week prior to our date. Not to mention my bouquet(!!!) and all of my bridesmaids bouquets went missing (?!??) after the reception and were never located. Ellie insisted that my coordinators threw everything away, and I trust that my coordinators did no such thing. Overall, our experience was fantastic and our reception was exactly what we hoped for - it's just a shame that Ellie cast such a shadow over the experience with her lack of professionalism. The Hilton is a beautiful hotel, we loved staying in the Huey P. Long suite and brunch the next morning in The Kingfish Grille was so fun!

The staff at the Hilton was amazing! I made some treat bags for our guests who would be checking into the hotel since so many of them were from out of town. They handed them out enthusiastically and our guests really appreciated the special touch. I stayed in a suite the night before the wedding with my sister and cousin and it was gorgeous! On the day of the wedding, all of the bridesmaids and my mom and groom's Godmother came to get ready in the suite. The hairstylists and makeup artist came to the suite so we could all hang out together and get ready with fun party music. It was such a fun day and I'm so glad the Hilton was so awesome to work with. The night of the wedding, my husband and I stayed in that same suite and the staff from the Hilton made it extra special because they went in and changed the sheets, gave us fresh towels, and even left us with some chocolate covered strawberries and champagne! What a fun surprise!

This was an AMAZING suite!! It had just been redone and I think I might have even been the first bride to stay. They were really accommodating when we booked the Huey Long Suite for my husband and I to stay the night of our wedding and they realized they over booked the room! They ended up giving me the Bridal Suite for the same cost!! I ended up staying there the night before too with my mom, sister, best friend, and grandmaw. We had about 15 people in there getting dressed and I NEVER felt cramped. Its 1,500SF or something and has 3 bedrooms!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

Wow! My reception at the Hilton Capitol Center ballroom on the 10th floor was amazing! The ballroom is beautiful, spacious and offers gorgeous views of the river and downtown Baton Rouge! The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious! The Catering director Grace was amazing through the whole process and made planning my reception stress free! She was easily accessible, very knowledgable and is there to guide you every step of the way, she will even bustle your gown on your big day! \rIf you are looking for a beautiful venue with gorgeous views of Baton Rouge, delicious food and an amazing staff....the Hilton Capitol Center is just what you need!

The Hilton Capitol Center helped plan and execute the perfect reception for us. No detail was overlooked but it never felt hectic, just seamless! There are so many details that go into planning a wedding so it was nice to have one point of contact for food, drinks, tables, chairs, setup, hotel accommodations, etc. They even took care of delivery and communication with other vendors like flowers and cake, band, etc the day of the wedding. The location is beautiful both inside and out. I am so glad that we chose the Hilton Capitol Center for our big day!

The Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center far exceeded my expectations for my reception (reception held in Riverview ballroom). Everyone there was so helpful along the way. Grace, the wedding coordinator, was so sweet and extremely accommodating with all my wedding needs. Ron also did a great job in handling our room block. The reception food was incredible, tons of flavor and great quality. The staff that nite was also great and kept everything running smoothly. Overall, I have not a single complaint...my wedding was perfect and all of my guests raved about the venue. Side note..be sure to have breakfast/brunch in the Kingfish restaurant. It was a great spot for all of the wedding guests to gather the morning after the wedding.

My fiancé & I fell in love with the Heilderberg Room on the 10th floor. The room furnishings were elegant and the view from the 10th floor was spectacular. We looked at several different venues in the Baton Rouge area, but none compared to the Hilton. Also, their Catering Sales Manager, Grace Murrell, was amazing. She made us feel 100% comfortable trusting the Hilton to handle our wedding reception. Everything was as close to perfect as possible. You can check out a wedding video trailer on Bill & Barbara’s Wedding Group Page on Facebook to get an idea of how amazing the venue is. Although the Hilton is a little pricier than other venues in the Baton Rouge area, it is worth every penny and I highly recommend it! \r\rMy only complaint is that the Hilton’s policy is to not allow left-overs to be boxed up. I had ordered way more food than was needed and I wish that guests could have taken home care packages of the left-overs. Maybe if I had thought to provide my own take-out containers and pushed the issue, the Hilton would have considered it? Perhaps future brides can negotiate such in their contracts. You can check out a wedding video trailer on Bill & Barbara’s Wedding Group Page on Facebook to get an idea of how amazing the venue is. Although the Hilton is a little pricier than other venues in the Baton Rouge area, it is worth every penny and I highly recommend it! \r\rMy only complaint is that the Hilton’s policy is to not allow left-overs to be boxed up. I had ordered way more food than was needed and I wish that guests could have taken home care packages of the left-overs. Maybe if I had thought to provide my own take-out containers and pushed the issue, the Hilton would have considered it? Perhaps future brides can negotiate such in their contracts. The entire staff was very helpful from the beginning planning stage to the end of the reception. They were very accomodating and informative. The food is also great. The guests enjoyed it and one of the best parts is the bride and groom are able to eat before the reception starts in a private room. Overall, the Hilton was great!

Angelle was so great to work with. She was very quick to respond to my emails and calls. The Heidelberg ballroom was so beautiful. It's on the 10th floor and overlooks the mississippi river. It's truly a gorgeous setting for a reception. We received so many complements from our friends and family on how great the food tasted and how pretty everything was. Angelle was so helpful with everything and did everything she could to make sure our reception was perfect, and it was. I don't have one thing bad to say about them! I definitely recommend!

We were very pleased with the Hilton downtown Baton Rouge. They made my guests feel very comfortable. They were very on the ball before the wedding in getting the list of guests that had booked rooms so that I could have enough welcome bags.

We used the Hilton in downtown Baton Rouge for our reception after getting married at St. Joesph's Cathedral around the corner. The 10th floor ballroom was amazing with the views of the river and the beautiful decor of the room! We only used minimal decorations because the room is so beautiful! I absolutely loved this space and you have the whole floor to yourself (including your own bathrooms for all your guests)! They also catered the reception which was also amazing! We were able to go do a taste testing and pick what we wanted ahead of time. The food was absolutely amazing and we received tons of compliments! They were also very much willing to work with us on the room setup. The plan they had suggested wasn't what I wanted so we drew up our own plan and they executed it perfectly! Wonderful job! The only negative this is that it's a bit more expensive than most other places around town but you can't beat the atmosphere! Worth every penny!
