Sarah Cooper(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-11-2022 So glad we chose this venue for our wedding! Kristen, Gary and the entire staff were so wonderful to work with. Everyone was so pleasant, welcoming and accommodating, we could not have asked for a better experience. Having everything onsite and guests being able to book rooms was so convenient and made for an essentially stress-free big day. Everything had just been rennovated/updated and the photos turned out that much more beautiful because of those updates. Not to mention the beautiful views right across the street! Lynda Huynh(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-06-2015 My wife and I recently had our wedding at the Hilton Garden Inn – Carlsbad and the experience exceeded our expectations. We chose the all-inclusive Paradise Package and we were able to select our cake, DJ, flowers/decorations, and officiant (the photographers were not available for our date). While the vendors we chose were all outstanding, this review isn’t about them, it’s about the venue and food.\r\rNow, if you’re interested in having an over the top, indulgent, and extravagant wedding, in reality, the Hilton Garden Inn probably isn’t for you. My wife and I knew we wanted something more understated, and where everyone would have a great time. So the Hilton Garden Inn – Carlsbad was perfect for us. \r\rThe word I’m going to say next is one that I never thought I’d use in a positive context while referencing a wedding: Value. Yes… that’s right, value. My wife and I absolutely feel like we got our money’s worth! We were very concerned with keeping to our budget while having a wedding that didn’t require us to skimp on anything – food, DJ, open bar, cake, or location (across from the beach!)\r\rFor me, going into planning our wedding, my number one concern was having good food. I’ll admit to being a food snob, and I’ve been to too many weddings where I had overcooked steak, dried out fish, not enough appetizers, etc. So at my wedding, I wanted GOOD food. The Hilton Garden Inn absolutely delivered! We chose a duet plate that included prawns, and almost every person (who had the duet plate) commented on how tasty and perfectly cooked the prawns were – not an easy feat for ~125 guests. \r\rIn addition to the food, everything else was amazing. We really liked the privacy of the wedding ballroom. Mary was really easy to work with – not something to be overlooked when you’re going to be planning a wedding with someone for ~1 year. My wife and I set up our own photo-booth in the ballroom, and because the scheduling worked out, Mary let us come in the night before the wedding and set it up in advance, which made the day of the wedding that much easier for us.\r\rNeedless to say, my wife and I are really happy with our choice to have our wedding at the Hilton Garden Inn – Carlsbad. \r Reviewed on 02-01-2016
Kristin Yale(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-09-2015 I would highly recommend brides have their wedding and reception at the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach! I had a small wedding of about 30 people, and everything went perfectly. Mary went above and beyond for us, even driving us across the street to the beach for pictures with the photographer! We had a Friday evening wedding under the lights on the patio in front of the fireplace, and it was amazing! The food was great, and my friends and family all had great things to say! Very easy venue to work with, accommodated everything we wanted. Reviewed on 13-10-2015
Rebecca Carter(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-08-2015 Our wedding was held here, all events except rehearsal dinner. \rThere was ease of communicating through emails or the phone and meeting in person with catering and events manager. We had a switch in people about 3-4 months before our wedding and wasn't told, had to pull teeth to try and figure out who new person was but in the end we got ahold and met Mary hager who is the current manager there. She was friendly and helpful. Just remember to always ask questions and get clear understandable answers. \rOverall we enjoyed our wedding at the venue and we are happy with having it there. Mary Ann Bundang(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-09-2014 The Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach is a hidden gem. It has an intimate and cozy environment AND it's right by the beach! The Catering Manager, Hengameh, and the rest of the staff were amazing! Hengameh was very patient, helpful, and reliable, which helped make the planning process go smoothly.\r\rMy now husband, Paul, and I went with the all-inclusive Paradise Package, which was a great deal! It included the photographer, officiant, centerpieces, cake, one-hour hosted bar, and other usual necessities of a wedding ceremony and reception. There are also many areas (both indoor and outdoor) to choose from for your special event, and the food was delicious!\r\rIn addition to our wonderful ceremony and reception experience, we and our guests enjoyed our weekend getaway at the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach. Our guests appreciated the kind and helpful staff, enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet, and loved the location.\r Reviewed on 27-10-2014
Grayson Hough(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-04-2014 The team at Hilton Garden Inn was wonderful to work with. They were always very quick to respond to all of my (many) questions and concerns. They were always pleasant and polite, making sure that we had things just the way we wanted them.\r\rDay of the event went smoothly and the food was good.\r\rWhat impressed us the most is actually how the hotel accommodated the wedding after party. Our wedding ended at 10 pm and we had a very drunk and ready to keep partying crowd. A big group of guests (at least 15) went to one of our bridesmaid's rooms. Of course they were very loud and the hotel staff kicked them out of the room so they wouldn't disturb neighboring guests. However, when kicking them out they offered that the group could hang out in the lobby as late as they wanted. Our guests did just that and the hotel staff went above and beyond accommodating them by bringing them popcorn, bottled water, and even taking them on a food run to Inn N Out!! Reviewed on 05-05-2014
Bobby-Jean Bauch(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-09-2011 I would say 95% of our guests traveled from out of state so having a venue next to the ocean was nice for photos and for our guests! We were concerned at first having it at a hotel but it turned out really beautiful and we are so glad we had it there! All our guests were able to have a good time and stayed at the hotel so no one had to worry about driving anywhere. It was perfect! The ONLY downside we thought was that the lady who coordinates there (Maria) doesn't respond right away, she kept forgetting details (although it ended up perfect the way we wanted it in the end) so you need to keep on her!! Carolyn Ritchie(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-08-2006 I had the outdoor option. I liked that the beach was across the street. All the pictures look great there. The staff was really friendly and willing to make changes on their original wedding packages to fit my budget; There was the hotel swimming pool right next to the wedding/reception area - I didn't have any problems, but there is potential there. The staff was fantastic - I was a DIY bride and am obsessive but at the reception I was able to let go and have a great time as they took care of everything. The outdoor area was perfect - ocean view fireplace etc. The staff made sure we were comfortable with umbrellas for shade and heaters ready in case we needed them (which we didn't).;Make sure depending on the number of guests that the dance area is made large enough and not crowded with tables.
