Micah White(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-09-2021 LONG READ: Literally, have your wedding anywhere else but here!Heather Ott and the Event Planning Staff lack the ability to communicate. They did not follow their own protocol or procedures: The timeline of planning such as tastings, showings, and payments. We signed a contract that had the total amount of our wedding and we paid the amount off. THREE DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING they sent a check bill nearing $10,000. When we confronted Heather Ott she took absolutely none of the responsibility for the error and stated that we should have known how much we owed [with no bill]. The decorating company came to set up the day before and they were told that they weren't allowed in because we still owed nearly $10,000 and than proceeded to ask the decorators to pay the outstanding balance. We finally went into the venue and the room was not arranged the way we asked it to be. When we asked for them to arrange the room correctly they declined to several times because they did not want to have their staff rearrange it because they would have to call them and pay them to come in. I advised them that our decorating team rearrange the room. On the day of the wedding, they weren't present for the ceremony. After the bridal party was announced at the reception we were supposed to cut our wedding cake so it could be removed from the dance floor, when we got in front of the cake I noticed there weren't any utensils to cut the cake so I asked one of the servers to get a knife it was over 35 minutes and still no one had come back with a knife and plate so we moved on to the champagne toast. I asked another server to bring out the champagne and I was told they didn't have the champagne ready because all the staff had been helping with another wedding which was booked a few weeks before. So we had to toast without champagne it eventually came out during dinner. Speaking of dinner, our guest number for the reception was 110 guests. We only had 93 stay for the reception. After waiting for our buffet to be opened for over an hour, Lauren Weyker, event coordinator came into the venue three time asking for an additional $500 because we were over our guests quota. I repeatedly tried to advise Lauren that there were only 93 people in the room which I counted but she insisted that it was over 150 without counting. After I refused to pay the hotel anymore money I asked her to bring out of food and turned away. When I was turning away from Lauren she then proceeded to ask a few of our guests for the $500 I told my party guest to go into the venue and refrain from any further communication with anyone from the hotel and told Lauren that it was inappropriate for her to ask my guest for money. I asked Lauren just to bring how ever much food we had already paid for and we would take responsibility for the people that weren't served. Lauren stated that wasn't possible because the kitchen would just keep bring food out until whenever. This didn't make sense because just 7 days earlier we had to give a last final numbers so that the hotel could order to correct amount of food. Once the food came out my wife and I notices that it was all cut up in childlike portions. We had so much food at the Tasting that we took it home and honestly ate off of it for nearly two days. Overall this was a horrible experience and God is my witness I can't make this stuff up. If I could go back I would first not go to the Hilton Garden Inn - Northwest Conference Center on Park Place Reviewed on 30-10-2021

Lydia Hansher(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-06-2019 We had our wedding there and our hotel room was so nice!!! Our guests also enjoyed their stay! But the main reason I am writing a review is for Corrine, the event coordinator. Corrine seriously is the best!!! She’s the main reason we even picked this place for our wedding! From the very beginning until the end of our wedding she had everything perfect! All day I (the bride) had a stomach ache from nerves and I couldn’t really eat my dinner but she made sure someone packed up my meal and take it to our room! She also kept me calm when we had some issues with our cake place, she made sure we had a cake! She was in charge of decorating the ballroom and I can’t believe how it was exactly how we imaged it and more!!! And oh my was the food amazing as well! I had MULTIPLE GUESTS complement on how great the food was!! I highly highly recommend this hotel for your wedding or any event!! Reviewed on 10-06-2019
Marika McGhee(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2018 I enjoyed my wedding experience with Corinne at the Hilton. I did a lot of shopping and even the \"cheap\" package offered tons of options and basically everything I wanted in my wedding. I was able to add the few things not included in the base price. Leading up to the wedding, Corinne made sure to respond quickly to all of my emails and questions, and was readily available during the night of the event. There were a few things that didn't end up right - for example we had kid's gift bags and two types of favors to be distributed on the tables. I created a list of how they should be given, so there wouldn't be any mistakes. (Table 1 has 2 kids gift bags, 3 bath bombs and 5 bottle openers, etc.) Upon walking into the reception, many tables had no favors at all, and my head table had extras. Beside this snafu, the entire evening started about 30 minutes late (due to me figuring out how to put the veil on lol) and stayed behind for the entire evening. This meant that the food was a little cold, and a tad dried out. This - of course - is NOT the venue's fault. But still was a little sad. Even so, the potatoes were still heaven!Overall, I enjoyed the entire evening. The suite was very nice. Everything generally went well, and I felt stress free the entire evening. Melissa McGroarty(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-05-2017 Our wedding reception at the Hilton Garden Inn Park Place was absolutely perfect! We highly recommend this venue to all couples looking to have their special day expectations exceeded! Not only are the Grand Ballroom and Foyer areas beautiful and spacious, Corinne (the coordinator) is by far the best person you will ever meet! She truly cares about making your day exactly the way you want it. She is experienced, personable, organized, timely, detail oriented, and so much more! The other staff (bartenders, chef, servers, etc.) were also very friendly and professional. Our planning process went smoothly from start to finish. Our guests continue to compliment us on how beautiful the venue was, how organized the night went, the delicious food, and the list goes on. My husband and I also had our gift opening here the following morning. We were accommodated with a nice room and had a buffet breakfast for our guests. The hotel was nice to work with- we received a complimentary suite the night of, and our guest accommodations were easy to book in our room block. We loved this place and could not have imagined having our wedding reception anywhere else! Reviewed on 03-07-2017
Jesslyn Froseth(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-12-2016 We had our wedding at the Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Park Place on New Year's Eve and had nothing but positive experiences throughout the whole process. The wedding venue was absolutely beautiful and accommodated all of our guests perfectly. The food was delicious and exactly as we had planned, and all of our guests have been complimenting it since. We reserved a block of rooms with the reception, and they were very accommodating when we had to increase that as people started booking. Overall, the entire night went flawlessly and the reception was absolutely beautiful.Corinne, the coordinator, is a major reason that it all went so smooth and turned out so beautiful. She was helpful, professional, accommodating, and super supportive throughout the entire process. Having never planned a wedding before, the entire process can be quite daunting and unfamiliar. Corinne's knowledge of wedding reception planning and her positive relationships with local vendors took all of the stress off my shoulders and made me feel completely at ease during my wedding day. Many of our vendors had previously worked with her and had so many positive things to say. Throughout the entire planning process she would respond promptly to all questions, as well as keep us on track for our timeline to make sure everything went smooth. On the day of, she made sure all of the decorations were in place the way we had imagined and coordinated with all of our vendors to make sure the whole night went off without a hitch. Truly, Corinne was one of the main reasons we had such a great experience there. Not only was the room beautiful and the hotel so accommodating, but Corinne made the entire day feel special. We are so grateful for everything the Hilton Garden Inn did for us and for our guests and we would highly recommend them for future brides and grooms if you are interested in having the day of your lives! Literally, I did not need to worry about anything, she and the staff took care of it all! Our wedding day went on perfectly! Katie Zenner(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-10-2014 I was so excited to plan my wedding here once we first booked with The Hilton. Corinne, the wedding coordinator was very accommodating. An extremely nice factor is having the majority of things for a wedding in one place. The caterer, the linens, the hall, the bartenders, etc. As the day became closer, and things started to fall more into place the excitement was really starting to set in. As I would think of more and more things I wanted to do, my mom and I made a trip to The Hilton to scope things out. They were setting up for a wedding that evening, and when I saw Corinne working hard at making sure everything was perfect for the Bride, I had a huge relief. What I did notice is that if you want something, you need to ask for it. They do not come out and state what they all do; so do NOT be afraid to state what you want. Then about a month prior to the wedding, Corinne stated she was going on vacation over my wedding. This of course made me a nervous wreck, but she reassured me her partner would be there in her place. I was introduced and was okay with it. I had other important things to worry about. Then the night of the wedding we were served the wrong starch with one of our meal options. Of course none of our guests were aware of this, and nobody truly complained about the food. I heard all excellent ratings about how great our food tasted. However, it is very disappointing when you spend the time at a taste testing and choose something, you really enjoyed and then do not receive it. Corinne did take fault for this, but the compensation I received is completely unjustifiable. This was one of the final impressions I have of the place, which has put a damper in my overall experience. However, the bartenders were excellent, the food still tasted great, they did an excellent job decorating the ballroom how I wanted it, the atmosphere was simply everything I had hoped for, the service the night of the wedding was truly outstanding. I would recommend this venue, as long as you are extremely straight forward and put your foot down! It is your day, and you deserve to have it perfect for you!! Reviewed on 21-11-2014

Cassie Tappa(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-11-2012 The Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Park Place offered free shuttles to my wedding venue, Davians, so this is where we set up the room block for our guests. We verified the shuttle set up with them 3 times, including just 4 days before the wedding, and they still forgot about it! We were supposed to have two shuttles leave the hotel at 4pm and neither did--one of the guests had to remind the front desk about them. One shuttle ended up arriving 10 minutes late because the van wouldn't start. I can't say that's entirely their fault, but I wish they would have verified the working order of the shuttles earlier that day.\r\rI had also asked them to had out info on the shuttle that I printed out to guests in our room block as they checked in, but some of the guests did not receive the info. Katie Schiller(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-07-2012 Although we went throu three wedding coordinators at the Hilton, Samantha Catina, the sales director who filled in between coordinators, was the best! She did a wonderful job getting all the specific things I wanted to work out. The food was the best wedding food everyone had ever had too! The room was gorgeous and the perfect size for my 170 guest wedding. The only complaint I had was that the servers were so quick to clear our places they took the head tables full glasses of wine while we were talking to tables.
