Hilton Lexington/Downtown Reviews
Nicole Oros(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-07-2014 We cannot thank the Hilton enough for their help during our wedding week. The customer service was spectacular and the wedding coordinator/ event planner Summer does a great job accommodating/ tailoring to your particular needs. The grand ballroom was beautiful, and the food was delicious! Wonderful atmosphere for a wedding! Reviewed on 11-08-2014
Katie Hunt(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-11-2019 Having our reception at the Hilton was a great experience. Not only was it so convenient to only have to get on the elevator to our room at the end of the night, get ready in the gorgeous bridal suite during the day, and stay in the complimentary honeymoon suite the night of our wedding, but it was a beautiful space that can be transformed into the venue of your dreams! When working with the catering team, they were fully committed to creating a perfect menu completely customized to our wants and needs! The wedding coordinator, Ashley, was so helpful and always available for any questions I had. While the wedding team itself was amazing, the staff working the event certainly fell short. It was disappointing to hear from several wedding guests that the staff working the bar was incredibly rude. They were not informed of what the plan was for when the kegs ran out, and they acted as if guests ordering drinks were inconveniences. It was also disappointing that one of our food stations ran out of food within minutes. For the money we were spending, we should never have ran out of a certain dish so quickly. Lastly, from what I understand, the staff completely threw away the leftover cake, nor did they save the top tier of our cake for us. Some guests didn't even get any cake because the staff was so quickly to remove the cake slices.Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed our experience, but would advise any future clients to go through the smaller details to assure there is no miscommunication when it comes to the staff working the event. Alexandrea Tuttle(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-10-2011 At first, my planning with the Hilton was a little hectic. But, they were changing wedding coordinators at the time, and I'm sure that is why. Summer, the current wedding specialist, is amazing. She did everything in her power to make sure my experience was exactly what I wanted.\r\rThe food was very good, and my guests enjoyed both the cocktail hour and dinner. The ballroom is a really nice room (which doesn't hurt!). Reviewed on 29-10-2011
Kaitlin Weegman(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-07-2011 I loved using the Hilton as a venue for our reception. The night went flawlessly, and all of the employees were nice and extremely helpful. The planner took care of dealing with all of our vendors (baker, florist, DJ) and provided us with all of the information we needed to make our day special. The only glitch we encountered was when the planner we had worked with for 8 months decided to leave for a different job, 1 month before our wedding! All of the staff handled the move professionally and worked with us to ensure that all of our preferences for the reception were transferred to the new planner. The wait staff the night of the wedding were OUTSTANDING, and all of our guests loved the food and the venue. Also, the Hilton provided all of our out of town guests with a great rate on their hotel rooms. I would absolutely recommend the Hilton to anyone looking for a fun and formal reception venue! Emileigh Ledgerwood(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-06-2011 I can't say of how much I appreciated this vendor! Everything was taken care of from the set-up to the take-down. All the gifts were delivered up to our room after the reception, along with them taking care of every last detail. The food was beyond incredible and the centerpieces looked gorgeous. Even when I had a guest show up unexpectedly, it was not big deal, they had extra food available. The staff was fantastic and everything was handled perfectly. Reviewed on 04-07-2011
Katie Wood(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-10-2010 I held my wedding reception at the Hilton Downtown about a month ago, and I would recommend this location! The staff was wonderful to work with--all very helpful and knowledgeable. Everyone had a helpful demeanor, and all 300 of my guests were delighted with the event. The attention to detail is so important for the reception, and Karen in Sales, Kimmy in Banquets, and all of the staff excelled in making this day special. Reviewed on 22-11-2010
Carey Trivisonno(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-10-2010 The newly renovated hotel is stunning and was an excellent backdrop for my wedding! The entire Grand Ballroom was stunning with lights, table linens and candles everywhere. An excellent venue for the bride who wants an uptown feel with downtown convenience and charm!
