The Hilton President Kansas City is a fantastic hotel and wedding venue in Kansas City, MO. Part of a larger suite of luxury hotels, this historic site provides comfort and an upscale ambiance. It boasts both small, intimate rooms as well as grand halls to host wedding-related activities. With local attractions aplenty and exemplary rooms and services, this hotel provides a cultivated location for hosting nuptials. This 1920s building is a National Historic Landmark and also on the National Register of Historic Places. Situated in the Power and Light District of Kansas City, it is near many of the cultural sites the city has to offer. Within a walkable distance, you and your guests can visit the Sprint Center and Kansas City Convention Center. Overall we had an amazing wedding! It is a gorgeous ballroom! We did have a few issues which is why I am only giving 4 stars. We started with Keyli when we booked then Maurine took over. We were not informed of Keyli leaving until I had to call the hotel because I was not getting responses to e-mails. Maurine was great to work with! We did have a few hiccups along the way on food allergies, parking passes and additional fees that were not in the contract but we were able to get those straightened out. I think overall the hotel service was lacking. My parents checked into the hotel on Thursday and absolutely no acknowledgement about being the parents of the bride even though it was associated with their reservation. For the amount of money spent, they expected at least a \"congratulations\". On Friday, the groom tried checking into his room early (it was a reservation under my Hilton account because we used points). He was told a room was ready but he could not check in because he was not a Hilton Honors member. He goes \"But I'm the groom does that count for anything?\" and they told him no. Luckily, I was able to call Maurine and she was able to get him checked in. We also had welcome bags for our guests to be handed out as they checked in. We dropped those off Thursday morning to the front desk. We found out that halfway through people checking in on Friday that the front desk was not handing them out. Again, Maurine came through and hand delivered the bags for those that had already checked in. Overall, the reception itself was great! However, again the service was a bit subpar. The waitstaff was not refilling water glasses to the point the Mother of the Bride was refilling glasses and asking for pitchers to be refilled. Again, Maurine saw that and made sure to fix it. You could tell they were understaffed (a problem with all hospitality establishments right now) but I am just thankful we did not add on the tableside wine service because I do not think they would have been able to provide it.

The Hilton President was the perfect wedding venue. Our Rehearsal Dinner and wedding ceremony & reception all took place at the hotel and we couldn't have been more pleased by how beautiful and perfect it was. We used the Walnut Room and Congress Ballroom, both of which were elegant and beautiful. Everyone seemed impressed with the food served by the hotel. A special thanks to the hotel events coordinator Maurine Lenahan for all her hard work. She made our wedding seamless. I'm so happy we chose the Hilton President for our wedding.

What an outstanding wedding weekend we had at the Hilton President, KC. The incredible staff who worked with us every step of the way for a year and half. Maureen, Jocelyn and their team made each moment special, professional and magical. The Chef and his team provided our guests with delicious rehearsal and wedding courses that were outstanding. The venue is historic, beautiful, glamorous and right in the heart of KC making for a special experience. We toured 10 wedding venue sites in the KC area and none more special then the President and it's staff! We loved our wedding experience.

We highly recommend the Hilton President for your wedding or special event. We had such a wonderful experience from the start of our planning through the day of the event. The staff were attentive, professional, and very easy to work with. A very special thanks to Maurine Lenahan, Wedding Coordinator, who provided excellent recommendations to enhance our original plan to make our day perfect. Maurine is very enthusiastic and enjoyable to work with and made sure the bride and mother of the bride were relaxed and did not have to stress the details. Maurine managed the event to our exact specifications, and she stayed in constant contact leading up to, during and through the conclusion of the event.We had many family and friends that stayed at the Hilton President before and after the wedding and they continue to rave about the beauty and history of the hotel. The lobby mezzanine was perfect for our cocktail hour and the ballroom was stunning for the dinner and dance. The President Hotel and it's staff did not disappoint. We cannot say enough about how happy we were to have our daughter's wedding in the beautiful ballroom at the President. Magnificent room , fabulous food, great hotel rooms, attentive but invisible staff, all added up to help make our daughter and new son-in-law feel special. You made their dreams come true. Our guests were wowed by everything they saw and the food they ate. The separate cocktail hour on the mezzanine was such a nice touch to help entertain before the actual reception. I would suggest having late night snacks for the guests. That was a real hit. Keylie Kamin the Catering Sales Manager helped every step of the way. Very attentive and thorough. She has such great suggestions and kept such a cool head during the planning process. Thank you all from the Caffarelli/Cullen families.

If I had to get married again, there is nowhere in KC I would rather do it than the Hilton President, time and time again! My husband and I knew we wanted a classic, elegant, and timeless wedding and the President and their Congress Ballroom were exactly what we were looking for. The ballroom was the perfect size for our 125 guests, the room (and hotel) is absolutely beautiful, and Keyli and her team made sure everything was executed perfectly. Planning from out of state, we also loved the fact that food, bar, chairs, tables, linens, dining ware, etc. are all provided in house. It made those logistics so much easier on us and we were able to relax knowing the President team is a well oiled machine in knowing exactly what to do on their home turf! Guests also commented on how great the food was and the signature drink we were able to add was a complete hit! Keyli was amazing to plan with and truly handled every detail in making sure our reception stayed on track. She answered all of my (many) emails and questions, worked with our planner behind the scenes, and was in constant communication with us in the weeks leading up to our wedding. She even made sure to keep us on track with hitting our minimums, taking that stress off us and allowing us to simply make choices to enhance our night. We loved every minute of our reception and had absolutely no anxiety going into the night knowing that Keyli and team had it covered. In our opinion, this is the best reception space in all of downtown KC and I would book here a million times over!

The Hilton President is a FABULOUS wedding location. We had our reception here and it was so convenient to have everything under one roof--from the food to servers, bartenders, linens, candles, getting-ready rooms, separate cocktail hour location, and a room block so guests can go right downstairs to their rooms at the end of the night. Not to mention the beautiful hotel made for the best backdrop for wedding photos. I was pleasantly surprised at how far each dollar went. The pricing here is comparable to other empty, industrial-style venues. Because the hotel is so fabulous already (huge chandeliers, gilded columns, stunning dance floor) I did not have to spend much money AT ALL on additional decorations, dance floor, lighting, or flowers. The beauty of the hotel speaks for itself! The ballroom comfortably fit 200 guests with plenty of room for a band and dance floor. The room is not too big so the band acoustics were still great. It had the feeling of intimacy. The wedding coordinator, Keyli, was very responsive, helpful, and proactive. She was kind and worked within my budget. The entire staff was professional and easy to work with. Dinner service was a breeze and the bartenders made it so there was hardly ever a line. A true five-star experience!

We just celebrated our wedding reception in the Congress Ballroom and it was amazing. Keyli (Catering Sales Manager at the Hilton President) took excellent care of us and helped guide us through the entire process. We met several times to discuss layout, food packages, drink packages, and final details. They are a full service operation and were able to add/provide beautiful details to our wedding day! Nothing was too big or too small for them to tackle. Keyli was always quick to respond and provided great insight. Our wedding reception was about 250 people and we had a live band. The space was perfect! Filled but not packed with plenty of room of a great dance floor. Food was delicious and presentation was exceptional! We received compliments from so many guests about the beautiful space, food, and service. We recommend Keyli and the Hilton President for all kinds of events!

Would ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND-- complete disaster in addition to not fulfilling expectations written into the basic contract!Was married 10/12/21, countless issues, the biggest being the lack of organization and difficulty working with Keyli. It would take days or several emails to respond. I implore anyone thinking of booking this venue to read below, these are highlights of mishaps but I tried to focus on what was not provided in the written contract as these were BIG DEALS. 1. We paid for an extra display appetizer table ($1200), was not provided. They only refunded part of what was owed despite it not being served.2. They didn't to set up the centerpieces as listed in the contract. Included is mirrors, and votives. The only thing on the tables were the flowers we paid for. They looked empty and pathetic without the extras.3. We had specified to have the player piano on during reception-- never turned on. We had specified to have the windows open during reception-- never opened. All this was in contract that was not provided by venue.4. We had multiple meetings to ensure the room was flipped quickly to ensure 1 hour cocktail in between the wedding and reception. Wedding service ended at 5p, they didn't have the room flipped until 730p. We were promised plenty of staff for a quick meal service. Majority of guests didn't receive their meal until 830. Contract assured MAX 1.5 hr flip, definitely not performed.5. My mother had to send back her steak because it was raw and the food was served cold.6. We were assured that Keyli would act as an on-site coordinator of sorts, we saw her ONE time. The bridal party throughout the day had no idea where to go etc. We were assured there would be staff to help put out place cards, there was none. Had to enlist last minute guests to help. In addition, we were told staff would help place out the desserts, no staff helped and my mother had to place the desserts. There was no staff or help provided with loading/un-loading or clean-up. 7. No coffee or tea service was served as per the contract.8. The bridal suite did not have any water pressure, we had to go to a friends room to shower the next morning.9. The bartender kept leaving intermittently throughout the night, it got to the point where guests were pouring their own drinks.10. The rehearsal the night before was chaos, the front desk didn't know what room we were rehearsing in, nor was I informed by Keyli, therefore the wedding party wandered around and ended up interrupting another wedding taking place trying to find the correct room for the rehearsal. 11. The venue has yet to release the Hilton honors points we are due in the contract (I'm writing this in February-- wedding was last October).Above are the big ticket items, there are many other details of disappointment but feel this is enough to hopefully dissuade another bride or groom for paying for a 4 star hotel wedding and receiving a 1 star service. Fortunately it is a gorgeous ballroom in itself which is the Hilton Presidents biggest redeeming quality. The hotel out of 'good faith' reimbursed a petty $480 for the apps not displayed and $1500 for everything else as they were clearly liable for multiple breaches of contract and they knew it. Overall cost was about $250/head, for that much I expected better. I write this in hopes of saving another bride/groom a horrible wedding. Thus I warn again, stay far far away from the Hilton President for your wedding if you can.

Would ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND-- complete disaster in addition to not fulfilling expectations written into the basic contract!Was married 10/12/21, countless issues, the biggest being the lack of organization and difficulty working with Keyli. It would take days or several emails to respond. I implore anyone thinking of booking this venue to read below, these are highlights of mishaps but I tried to focus on what was not provided in the written contract as these were BIG DEALS. 1. We paid for an extra display appetizer table ($1200), was not provided. They only refunded part of what was owed despite it not being served.2. They didn't to set up the centerpieces as listed in the contract. Included is mirrors, and votives. The only thing on the tables were the flowers we paid for. They looked empty and pathetic without the extras.3. We had specified to have the player piano on during reception-- never turned on. We had specified to have the windows open during reception-- never opened. All this was in contract that was not provided by venue.4. We had multiple meetings to ensure the room was flipped quickly to ensure 1 hour cocktail in between the wedding and reception. Wedding service ended at 5p, they didn't have the room flipped until 730p. We were promised plenty of staff for a quick meal service. Majority of guests didn't receive their meal until 830. Contract assured MAX 1.5 hr flip, definitely not performed.5. My mother had to send back her steak because it was raw and the food was served cold.6. We were assured that Keyli would act as an on-site coordinator of sorts, we saw her ONE time. The bridal party throughout the day had no idea where to go etc. We were assured there would be staff to help put out place cards, there was none. Had to enlist last minute guests to help. In addition, we were told staff would help place out the desserts, no staff helped and my mother had to place the desserts. There was no staff or help provided with loading/un-loading or clean-up. 7. No coffee or tea service was served as per the contract.8. The bridal suite did not have any water pressure, we had to go to a friends room to shower the next morning.9. The bartender kept leaving intermittently throughout the night, it got to the point where guests were pouring their own drinks.10. The Hilton President ballroom is the most gorgeous reception venue in KC. I made my husband go to almost all the venues that would meet a black tie wedding for ~200 guests within two weekends as we both live in different states. The President was the last venue we visited and when we walked in we were sold. The room is absolutely breathtaking and if you have an amazing wedding planner (Nellie Sparkman) and florist (Ashlie at Blue Bouquet) it becomes a dream come true. I would recommend the chicken over the beef for the entree. Our beef was more tender during our tasting and we would have gone with a different entree choice then the beef tenderloin the way it came out for our reception. The cocktail hour was perfect--we had the salmon, pork belly, and goat cheese which all of our guests loved. Additionally, we hired KCFLO to play the Hiltons lobby piano which was very classy and romantic and we would recommend to others using this for their venue. Lastly, we had a cocktail hour in the Drum Room the night before the wedding after our rehearsal dinner which was a blast! They make the best cocktails and the bartenders are awesome. The contact at the Hilton President Kellie is absolutely fantastic and works hard to make sure the experience is the best. Unfortunately, prior to Kellie stepping in we had two other contacts in the middle of COVID and given this we were even more grateful for our wedding planner. The hotel overall is doing a fantastic job regarding keeping everything safe and clean during these crazy times. My husband and I loved our choice in venue with the Hilton President and cannot wait to go back to visit!

You cannot go wrong having your wedding reception at the Hilton President and we had only 5 months to plan it. I had to make all plans for my daughter’s wedding from out of state (Oklahoma). The catering manager, Marissa, is the best! Great communication throughout the entire planning process. She paid meticulous attention to detail and the timeline and has the patience of a saint. The venue (Congress Ballroom) is gorgeous and the food is delicious!The guest rooms are beautiful, clean, roomy and comfortable. Their accessible rooms are the best I’ve ever seen, complete with walk-in shower and a built-in shower bench. Our out of town guests thoroughly enjoyed the Drum Room where they could spend time catching up with old friends, making new ones, enjoying the family reunion, and toasting the newlyweds. They also enjoyed the proximity to Redemptorist, the Power and Light district, Union Station and River Market. Between Marissa and my planner, Alyssa from Simple Elegance, I was able to thoroughly enjoy the reception as did all of our guests. The evening flowed without a hitch. The only complaint was the reception flew by. We didn’t want the night to end. We had a farewell breakfast the next morning and again, beautiful set-up, delicious food and a gracious staff!

We are so happy that we chose The President for our reception venue, it was a dream come true and the ballroom is stunning. Marissa was so helpful and attentive from day 1 and was extremely accommodating and flexible, especially when we started to make changes as close as a week before the big day. I had a ton of family stay at the hotel from out of town as well and they were all so impressed with the hotel itself. If I could do it all over again, I would choose The Hilton President in a heartbeat! When we started looking for venues, the second I saw The President I knew it was going to be the place. It was the first venue we looked at and instantly my heart literally dropped. My Mom insisted we look at other locations - but nothing we saw compared. It is BEAUTIFUL. Marissa was a life saver from beginning to end. She was incredible and helped us with all of the details! She was helpful when going over the contract and answering my parent’s questions. We met with her, I believe, 4-5 times, before the wedding. We had a food tasting - which was amazing! We had meetings to discuss details, finalize timelines, and answer any questions. Marissa was always available via email or phone. On wedding day she was also beyond helpful. Making sure we had room keys, calming me down, helping bustle my dress, moving our overnight bags, and a million other things. The Hilton President also had everything you needed. They have tables, linens, plates, eating utensils, drink glasses. So we did not have to rent anything. The only thing I had to get was a table cloth for the cake table because I wanted it to be different and more of a centerpiece of the room. The night of, the day following, and the weeks after the wedding so many people have complimented how beautiful the reception was. People have told us how good the food was. We also had late night snacks - pizza, sliders, pretzels and all our friends LOVED it. They talked about how it was literally the best surprise of the night. Ha! Everyone loved how cocktail hour was on the mezzanine and everyone was then transported upstairs to the beautiful ballroom. Everyone keeps talking about how beautiful the venue was. The only disappointing thing was the cake cutting. In our pre-wedding meetings, I mentioned that I wanted to make sure everyone got cake. We had a regular cake that served 118-120 people and a grooms cake that served 40 people and we had around 140 people. After the wedding, people told me that they little got a bite of cake and small slivers. This was kind of frustrating since the grooms cake was literally not even cut and we took it home after the wedding. There was a miscommunication somewhere, however, that is my only complaint and I didn’t even know about it on the day of. It is pretty minor in the scheme of things. If I could do it all over again, I would choose The Hilton President. The venue is beautiful - add some flowers and a DJ and that is all you need. The food is incredible. It is all organized and guests love how glamours it is. The Hilton is worth the money and my parents would say the same thing. It truly is worth every single penny. We are so glad we chose The President for our wedding day!

Where to begin... My husband and I got married in July and had an absolutely perfect day. A big contribution to that is the event coordinator at The Hilton President, Marissa. Marissa was helping us along the way throughout our entire engagement. She remembered every detail that we talked about since our first meeting. She answered all of our questions and then some! Marissa also gave suggestions of things that we never even thought of. She made our wedding day perfect. The entire staff was helpful, respectful, and kind. The ballroom was beautiful. The food was delicious. The cocktail hour while the ballroom was being flipped for the reception was the perfect amount of time. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about not only The Hilton President, but Marissa Pope as well!

I cannot compliment The Hilton President’s staff enough after having our wedding ceremony and reception there. We worked with Marissa, the special event coordinator for over a year, and I was always impressed by her memory and attention to detail. Over the course of our planning with her, we developed a few inside jokes, which showed me how much she listened to us and worked to really get to know us and what we wanted for our wedding. The Congress Ballroom is gorgeous, and I was amazed at how efficiently they “flipped” the room during our cocktail hour. They even ended up having to set up our reception flowers/centerpieces, (because of a miscommunication I had with my florist). Marissa and her assistant handled it all and were kind and wouldn’t even let me think about it. Their goal was for my husband and I to fully enjoy and be present and able to take in our special day, and they did this superbly. We were about ten minutes behind schedule, and Marissa made everything all flow seemlessly and kept my stress level down the whole day. I will also mention that the food was delicious, all of the service staff were kind and efficient. I would highly recommend having a wedding at the Hilton President.

My husband and I can not praise the Hilton President enough! We got married there in April 2019! I grew up in Kansas City and always wanted to get married in my hometown. My husband is from Georgia and his large family is scattered across the county. Most of our college friends are also from out of town. We hosted a large wedding, around 250 people. We had over 60 rooms in our hotel block for all our out of town guests. The service at the hotel was AMAZING and all of our guests only had positive feed back. The gift bags were personally delivered to their rooms, the hilton provided water bottles for each guest, and everyone was so kind! The location was great as well, with 80% of our guest from out of town, they were able to walk anywhere they needed without having to rent a car! Being next to the power and light district and KC street car was perfect! As far as the wedding goes, we had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception here. The President has tables, linens, chairs, provides food and liquor, basically all the \"rentals\" you would need. The only thing we needed to bring in was flowers, the band and the cake! The ballroom is gorgeous and classy. We did rent up-lighting to soften the yellow walls, but I don't think it was absolutely necessary. The room flip during the cocktail hour was timely as well. The reception was my favorite part. They were very accommodating with my opinions about room set up, a large head table, and band placement. Marisa, who is in charge of weddings there, worked diligently with my wedding planner to make the wedding PERFECT. I could go on and on about the Hilton President but if you are having a large wedding with many out of town guest, add this to the TOP of your list!!

The Hilton President was the perfect place to have our wedding room block and day after brunch. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Kansas City to many activities for our guests to enjoy before and after the wedding. The rooms were clean and spacious. The front desk staff were very helpful and organized as we all seemed to arrive around the same time! They were able to keep everything straight and even got a mini fridge up to one of our bridesmaid’s room for her medication. Since most out of town guests were staying at the Hilton, we planned a Sunday brunch for the newlyweds for a final good-bye. We used the Aztec Room which was a perfect size for us. We chose the Missourian buffet which was everything you would want in a brunch. It was easy for our guests to come and grab a bite and say farewell to family before heading to the airport. Veronica was very helpful in helping to plan the Farewell Brunch and making sure we were all set. We were able to bring in some of the floral arrangements from my daughter’s wedding the night before and they were beautifully displayed on tables and the buffet. Thank you to all the staff on making the ending to a wonderful wedding weekend so fabulous!

I can't even begin to put into words how perfect our ceremony and reception was at the Hilton President Hotel. The Ballroom is beautiful and we decided we wanted to have both the ceremony and reception at the Hilton President, and this was so perfect and convenient for our out of town guests. Having the wedding at a hotel created more convenience for our majority out of town guests as my husband and I are both from out of state. On the wedding day I can not rave enough about how hard the staff worked to make all of the guests, the wedding party, parents, etc. feel comfortable, happy and stress free. Everything went perfectly and that is a true testament to Brooke, Marissa and the rest of the staff at the Hilton President as they were so prepared and personable and made sure that we had all of our personal touches to make the wedding our true dream wedding. The guests could not rave enough about the beauty of the whole hotel (especially around Christmas time as the hotel is GORGEOUS), the guests loved the convenience of being downtown and not having to leave the hotel at all for any of the wedding festivities. The hotel made many personal accommodations for us including catering and providing use of a ballroom for a big farewell breakfast on Sunday following the wedding which again the guests and our families loved! I seriously can only say positive things about this whole experience, and if you want a BEAUTIFUL, stress free, elegant, and unbelievable wedding ceremony and reception look nowhere else but the Hilton President Hotel.

Love, love, love. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the location is great. The hotel provides linens, tableware, multiple chair options, catering/liquor and almost everything you need for the day of. All we needed was a photographer, florist, DJ and hair and makeup. It was awesome not needing to coordinate so many additional vendors and the hotel completely \"tears down\" the space and delivers gifts, vases, cake toppers (any extras) to your room so you don't have to worry about it at the end of the night.When we first looked at vendors, so many never returned calls, gave partial information, or weren't forthright, which made the process confusing and a lot less fun than I thought it would be. We had the exact opposite experience with the Hilton President, and Marissa Pope specifically. She responded promptly to all questions (even if we were asking them for the third time), she knew the answer to every question and we trusted her completely. She followed up with us, kept us on track throughout the process and contacted all our other vendors. The day of went off without a hitch. I was told by a guest the food was the BEST they had ever had at a wedding. We didn't have to worry about anything except having fun with friends and family because the hotel took care of all clean up, including gifts. We would 1,000% recommend this to anyone, especially with Marissa! We were beyond pleased with our wedding.

Overall our experience at the President was good. Marissa was very kind to work with and answered a lot of our questions thoroughly. She was good about bringing stuff up we weren't sure about. The venue is also beautiful and timeless. There were definitely some things I was disappointed in. They didn't save any of the food that was extra (about $800 worth). The dessert table was so dimly lit a lot of people did not see it. The DJ they recommended was not a good choice. So if you go with this venue for the timeless and magical feel, just make sure you don't make decisions based on their recommended vendor list and be very specific about the type of lighting you're hoping to have for the different things you may offer. If I could go back and do it again, I would still go with the President :)

Tons (and I mean tons!) of our guests commented that the food served was the best meal they'd ever eaten at a wedding and/or how amazing it tasted. We had the breaded chicken, brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. Also, Marissa went above and beyond to make the whole experience delightful for us (beginning to end) & exactly to our liking. She made sure the temp was right, the place setting look exactly how I asked for it (with the cutest napkin in a knotted bow), etc. Two of my favorite servers were a lady named Victoria and one of the female bartenders. They were more than happy to get me and my husband anything we needed that night and made sure we were very well taken care of! I highly recommend the President Hilton for an unforgettable and beautiful wedding reception venue.

When the doors were opened later in the evening, everyone enjoyed the stunning views of downtown Kansas City. Marissa Pope led a great team of dedicated professionals who took care of all the details so we could concentrate on our guests. Marissa offered valuable suggestions, and she was flexible with our special requests. We really appreciated this since we have moved away from Kansas City, and much of the planning was done via long-distance. Everyone (and most importantly, the bride and groom) had a wonderful time to remember and cherish!

The Hilton President Kansas City was the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding. The history and renovation of the hotel were special treats for out-of-town guests, and the ballroom provided a spectacular backdrop for the wedding and reception. The Hilton President was the perfect place to host our wedding ceremony and reception! We had the ceremony there, then the guests went to the mezzanine area for a cocktail hour while the room was flipped for the reception. The President is a beautiful hotel and conveniently located. Overall our stay was good but there were a few inconveniences. The Hilton charges an additional $20 per car to park in the garage, which is was a disappointment and kept many of our guests from choosing to stay there. They also advertised shuttle service, but we found out a few weeks before our event that it would be out of service. Thankfully we asked about it, because the hotel made no attempt to let us know. If you're planning on using the shuttle--be sure to verify it's availability. Thankfully we asked ahead of time and were able to make other arrangements for our guests. Unfortunately, our alternate arrangements were at our expense.

This was our dream ballroom and Samie made the entire experience perfect from start to finish! Not only was the cocktail hour and reception absolutely beautiful but the hidden gem is the coordinator, Samie. I cannot say enough about how amazing she is- so organized, so on top of it, has been around for years so knows all the vendors, she makes sure everything goes off perfectly but more than that, we planned from out of town and she was available, quick to respond to any emails or calls and so helpful for the entire year prior. The food was delicious and the venue stunning! Highly recommend- it was the perfect location in KC, it was beautiful and convenient and everyone at the President was friendly and great to work with. We have no complaints at all about having our wedding here and are beyond thrilled with the service and result! If I could give more than five stars I absolutely would!

I was disappointed with the lack of service provided to myself and my guests during our stay at the President Hotel. A couple of examples: I requested a refrigerator (at extra cost) for a guest for medication reasons 12 months prior to the wedding. Although this note was made on the reservation, no refrigerator was in the room due to their limited availability. Also, the shuttle service (which only goes several miles from the hotel) was not willing to take elderly guests to the rehearsal dinner 1 mile away, despite not being in use. The most helpful person at the hotel was the concierge, Rita. She was amazing and greatly helped my guests with anything they needed. It is unfortunate that the President had such a lack of accommodation for the large number of revenue generating nights I provided them, with international guests staying all week and myself being a Hilton Diamond member. I have received far better service from Hilton hotels in other cities, and I am sad to say the city I call home is not one of them.

The President has the most gorgeous ballroom I have ever seen- the perfect spot for a wedding reception. the wedding coordinator, Samie, is the best! She makes sure everything goes smoothly- she even bustled my dress when my bridesmaids couldn't figure it out! The venue is amazing, food is delicious, and there are tons of bar packages to choose from. Having our reception at a hotel was the best decision we ever made. All of those things are important but what really made the process so enjoyable was the staff! Samie, the hotel's wedding coordinator, was AMAZING! She was so good working with our vendors, family members, and our personal wedding planner! Anything we asked for she took care of and our vendors were organized perfectly and well taken care of! Samie was professional, experienced, and fun to work with! We had our reception in the Congress ballroom which is an exceptional setting! The food was wonderful and beautifully presented. Our wedding reception at the Hilton President was a dream come true - better than a dream come true actually. From the minute I saw the ballroom and met Samie I KNEW it had to be there (and it was the only venue I looked at). The ballroom is absolutely exquisite with marble floors and gold-detailed walls with stunning views of downtown KC. But it was the quality of the staff that made our experience way above average for the entire planning time and wedding day. Samie goes above and beyond in her uber-organized, magic-making way to make your day incredible. I am the typical Type-A, want to make sure everything is correct personality but I was able to fully enjoy and soak in the day because I knew she had it handled. Thanks to her and her staff, my wedding day truly was the best day of my life.

As soon as we saw the stunning Congress ballroom we knew our search was over- breathtakingly beautiful! She was the epitome of professionalism and friendliness throughout the whole process. We were planning the wedding from out of state and never once did I feel like we were out of the loop with what was happening. My husband and I just got married at the Hilton President and we were blown away! Their ENTIRE staff, especially Samie and Marilyn, were more than perfect. Every time I thought of something that needed to be done, they had already taken care of it! It is the most beautiful venue and it is a great location for your guests to have fun at the P&L district. We couldn't be happier that we chose the Hilton President and we can't thank them enough for making our wedding day perfect!!!!!

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night. The front desk attendant saw me in my wedding gown and congratulated us. They made us feel like valued clients. The lobby is beautiful. The room was clean and spacious. We had a great view of the Power & Light district. The front desk ended up sending up a bottle of wine for us to share and a note saying congratulations again. We ordered room service the next morning. The french toast was great! Great hotel, great service, great location!!!

I do not have time to write this- last time I wrote an honest review, Hilton got it taken down. So I wouldn't trust the reviews they have. Yes it is a beautiful room, but it is overpriced for the bad service you will get. Not only that, the brial suite is very dark and ugly. My recommendation- o somewhere else! I would give 0 stars if i could

The President Hotel in Kansas City had always been my dream venue, and it truly was a dream come true to have my reception in the Congress Ballroom. My Fiance and I had a 3 month timespan to plan our wedding in. We went and searched dozens of places, and we are SO thankful we chose the Hilton! The staff was WONDERFUL, everything was done exactly how we'd planned. The food was delicious, and our guests couldn't get enough! It was so nice to have people who understood how much this meant to me, and went out of their ways to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams. They worked with us on pricing, dates, and deals, and we ended up staying for a few extra nights there because we loved it so much! Thank you, Hilton President, for a wonderful experience!
