Unique & Elegant Barn/Vineyard Wedding Venue
Situated in Cottage Grove, MN, and a mere 15 minutes from the Twin Cities, Hope Glen Farm is a historic site and elegant wedding venue. Next to the 500-acre Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park, it offers a tranquil escape from the city’s bustle, complete with friendly goats and chickens. The venue's rustic charms provide an ideal setting for weddings, where couples can host their “I dos” to their last dance in one place. Hope Glen Farm began its documented history as the home of William F. McIntosh. The barn was constructed in the late 1800s and was originally a dairy and then a horse barn. John Healy, of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company, bought the property in 1914, who named it Hope Glen Farm. The name is derived from his mother’s maiden name and the home's placement in a glen. The current owners have lived there since 2001 and restored the buildings with immense time, thought, and care. They are enthusiastic about sharing this exquisite property with couples on their big day. Up to 280 guests can be accommodated at Hope Glen Farm. Ceremonies can begin in the picturesque pasture, which is enveloped by vineyards and lush Minnesotan greenery. From here, the cocktail hour may take place on the indoor and outdoor patio before the reception on the outdoor pavilion. It features three open walls that can be closed in case of inclement weather. The festivities may continue in the renovated barn and around the bonfire area. After a day of merriment, the sweethearts can then move to either the Tree House honeymoon suite or the Corn Crib Cottage suite to rest. With amenities like climate control and running water, there are many comforts throughout the property that make it both aesthetic and functional.

Hope Glen Farms was absolutely wonderful for Kristen and I. The staff was so professional and helped with every detail! Our wedding planner did such a great job helping us before during and after our wedding day! The venue was gorgeous from the the bridal and groom sweets, to the dinning to the ceremony space with the arch and seating, to the barn dance area, it was so wonderful, the tree house was an added bonus and so good for us! It was a beautiful space for our wedding night! All around I would highly recommend Hope Glen Farms we had such a sense of peace working with the staff and owners!!

Hope, Glen Farm was our dream wedding venue! I wrote down everything I would ever want in a venue and when I discovered Hope Glen it matched every criteria and more! The staff was incredibly professional, and very kind and gentle with me, as I had recently lost my mother. We were able to view the property within 24 hours of discovering it. Every portion of the property was breathtaking from the Vineyard to the Civil War barn to the majestic dining area to the outdoor fire pits and open bar area for appetizers not to mention the incredible corn crib Cottage and TreeHouse honeymoon suite!Having recently had a major loss in the family and getting married within only a two month engagement I knew I wanted a property that was as full service as possible and Hope Glen Farm went above and beyond. We were able to get their special package where they provided all of the decorations as well as an on-site Wedding Planner. All of the planning and day of went SO smooth! Our guests had a blast and almost everyone said it was the BEST wedding they had ever been to. Our pictures and videos are breathtaking. We loved our honeymoon night in the tree house and even came back for our one month anniversary. I can’t recommend this venue enough.

The wedding day was everything we wanted and then some. The site of the ceremony by the vineyard, the beautiful reception barn with stone fireplace, and the party barn with the dance floor and bar were all so spacious, functional, and well decorated. Many of our guests told us it was their favorite wedding they had been to. And the tree house suite that we got to stay in was the perfect cherry on top. Erika also made the wedding planning process extremely smooth. Very glad we went with Hope Glen!!

Hope Glen was an absolute dream of a venue in every way. From the very initial meeting we knew it was where we wanted to get married!! And from then on it only got better. All following meetings leading up to the big day made me feel so calm knowing I was in great hands. This place KNOWS how to run a wedding!! They have every detail down to a science. My personal attendant who’s a professional event planner said it was the best run venue she’s ever been involved with. The multiple areas are so amazing to not feel like you’re stuck in the same area the whole time - which we loved. And the best part of all has to be the treehouse you get to stay at after the dance! It is just stunning. I cannot say enough positive things about Eryka, Paula, all the staff, and vendors involved!! We feel so blessed this is where we were able to have the best day of our lives. Highly highly recommend!

Hope Glen Farm is beautiful and unlike any other barn venue in Minnesota. It’s rustic while still feeling clean, elegant and high-end. The bridal bliss staff (day of coordinators) were WONDERFUL and helped the day run so smoothly. The only downside is that the venue is a bit pricey—but in my opinion it was worth every penny!

I found Hope Glen Farm while researching venues with a treehouse, and I am so glad I did! All of our guests were raving about the venue and how unique it is. It was so cool to have so many different scenic backdrops for photos, from the vineyards to the unique treehouse to the outdoor chandeliers. The team that helped organize it was top notch and made us feel so comfortable and confident on the day-of, so we could enjoy the day knowing everything was handled. Gorgeous venue, very professional and we felt like they really made our wedding planning a worry-free experience. We paid for the bridal bliss package, which got us a day of coordinator, wedding planning decorations, set up and take down etc. which was worth the money 10x over. Staying in the treehouse was also an incredible experience.

I highly recommend Hope Glen! We loved everything from the twinkly lights to the goats! We got married on a chilly fall day and did our ceremony inside the pavilion. Everything came together so beautifully thanks to Eryka and her team. It far exceeded my expectations! It was so cozy and intimate with our guests all evening. We felt so cared for by the Hope Glen staff and our vendors. Staying in the treehouse was a perfect way to unwind and reflect on our best day ever!

Cannot recommend Hope Glen enough. We got married in September of 2022 and it was the most magical day. I definitely recommend the Bridal Bliss package, this made planning a wedding virtually stress free. Paula and Eryka were fantastic to work with. The venue was beautiful, a perfect blend of rustic and formal with a very beautiful rain back-up plan. We stayed at the treehouse the night of the wedding, it seriously lives up to the hype. Super friendly owners, organized venue, they definitely know what they are doing, and our guests were incredibly impressed with the venue. Book Hope Glen!

Hope Glen is nothing short of breath taking and I got so many compliments with how awesome our venue was. I also STRONGLY recommend hiring their coordinators. Absolutely AMAZING venue. Not just because of the beautiful property, but right down to the people, the owners, Eryka the coordinator, the communication, and the organization of everything. They seriously know what they are doing! I also HIGHLY recommend booking their day-of coordination services, because Eryka was an absolute lifesaver. She kept the entire day running smoothly, as did all of her assistants, and having the decor options took so much off of my plate to prep for prior to the wedding. They loaded everything into our cars at the end of the night, which was a massive help. We had SO many compliments on the venue itself, too. Having the different spaces to transition to and from throughout the night gave guests plenty of space instead of feeling like you are stuck in one big room all night. There are multiple areas for great photo ops, we used their lawn games and I don't think anyone stopped playing those all night, and then just having the gas fireplaces around gave people multiple spaces to converse without having to yell over loud music on the dancefloor, which had its own space in the barn. Not to mention, you get to stay in one of two of their amazing rental spaces (the treehouse or the corn crib), which are beautifully renovated and modern. My parents stayed the night in the corn crib and my husband and I took the treehouse. It made it so much less stressful at the end of the night, knowing we didn't have to drive anywhere or worry about carrying everything out all at once (though they loaded our cars anyways!). They allow overnight parking for guests, too, which was a huge plus for some that ended up deciding to Uber or Lyft home later.

It made it so much less stressful at the end of the night, knowing we didn't have to drive anywhere or worry about carrying everything out all at once (though they loaded our cars anyways!). They allow overnight parking for guests, too, which was a huge plus for some that ended up deciding to Uber or Lyft home later.

They also absolutely loved the tree house. Guests get to tour it (if they want) during the cocktail hour and all our guests loved that! Sleeping in the treehouse the night of our wedding was also such a fun thing and memory we will always have! I would highly suggest spending the little extra money and getting the bridal bliss package. Eryka is truly amazing to work with and makes all your wedding planning seem so seamless and easy. Along with everything else you get with the package, she also also gives you a ton of helpful hints while planning and on your big day. Having her there on our big day made it go so much smoother and she truly supported me (and helped my nerves) as a bride in the best way possible. From the beautiful spaces, the treehouse, the staff, the animals and the atmosphere - I can't say enough about Hope Glen. Due to covid we only got to have a virtual tour, but Michael and Paula sold us! Our wedding day was perfect with the help of their own day of coordinator, Eryka. She is definitely worth the extra cost. We got so many compliments by our wedding guests that there was always something to do, especially during our almost 2 hour cocktail hour (touring the tree house, feeding and petting the goats, playing yard games, many photo ops). The cherry on top is that you get to stay in either the tree house or corn crib cottage on your wedding night (we picked the tree house). The tree house is so incredible and is actually available on AirBNB. My husband and I plan to stay there on our future anniversaries. 5 stars to the venue for the wedding and the tree house!

Halfway through our engagement, we were having issues with our original wedding venue and started searching for a new venue. Our search brought us to Hope Glen Farm and we are so incredibly grateful to have found them. For starters, the owners, Paula and Michael, and the venue manager, Eryka, were so wonderful to work with. They were kind, professional, and answered all of our questions. It was very apparent to us from our first meeting with Paula that they put their heart and soul into making Hope Glen Farm the perfect wedding venue. They care about and listen to their couples. Secondly, the venue is breathtakingly gorgeous! It has such a romantic, cozy feel. Our guests raved about what a beautiful, cool space it was and everyone loved that each part of the wedding takes place in a different area (ex: ceremony is in the pasture, dinner is in the pavilion, and the dance is in the barn). We also very much appreciated that we could supply our own alcohol here - we found they're one of the few wedding venues in the Twin Cities that still gives you this option - which saved us literally thousands of dollars. We had an absolutely PERFECT day at Hope Glen Farm and we would choose them again in a heartbeat!!

The venue was beyond beautiful and versatile. They was so much to see and do and every part of it was made to look magical. The staff was very proactive and accommodating when it came to covid regulations. Because the venue was so beautiful there wasn’t a bad area to take pictures. Plus, because there are different parts of the venue to explore, there are a lot of places for exceptional photo opportunities. The food provided in the pavilion was delicious and the staff was very efficient with making sure everyone got their food in a timely manner.My husband and I spent our wedding night in the treehouse and it was heavenly. We got married at Hope Glen on September 6, 2020 and it exceeded everything we had dreamed of and imagined for our day! My husband and I fell in love with this venue the moment we stepped foot on the property and it got better from there. Paula and Michael are amazing and Eryka is truly the one who makes your day beautiful, smooth and stress free, she is your go to gal! Our guests spoke highly of the beauty of Hope Glen but also how there was such a flow to the day. Even with COVID going on you had no idea because the staff worked so hard to keep things clean and guests safe and honestly it all went amazing! We loved how each part of our day took place in a new setting of the venue which truly gave guests an amazing experience and is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Our pictures turned out amazing with many places for background choices and I just can’t say enough about the ceremony location-wow! Then to top off the amazing day we had ending it in the tree house was perfect! Hope Glen is the place to get married!

I love that everything happens in one location, your guests do not have to drive to several locations to spend your special day with you! We felt like royalty sleeping in the treehouse! When searching for our wedding venue, we knew we wanted to see Hope Glen Farm. The space was perfect for many reasons but one of our favorite things was that everything could be in ONE place! It took so much off our plate and helped us not to worry about little things. The bridal room and (new) groom's room were the perfect spaces for everyone to get ready with the wedding party. The ceremony area was great for our day and made an awesome backdrop. The reception pavilion and barn was a perfect fit and made it so easy and fun for our guests. We had approximately 200 guests and it did not feel crowded at any part of the day. We added the Bridal Bliss day of coordination and it was totally worth it...from all the decorations included to the extra help on our big day, we literally did not worry about any detail. All of our guests had a great time and we have gotten many compliments about Hope Glen Farm!

Our wedding date was extremely hot and the ceremony site is in full sun, so that was the only downfall on our day but we had a blast regardless. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, and how fun the day was. Working with vendors was easy and we received plenty of helpful information from the venue regarding all of those details. It’s spendy, but worth it. If you have the financial capability, I’d highly recommend using the coordination package and renting out the decor but we did it ourselves and it still worked out well!

The owners and all the staff we met with were extremely hospitable and helpful. The venue itself is amazing- it's beautiful, spacious and clean. There are many ways for the guests to enjoy themselves whether dancing, roasting s'mores, playing outdoor games or just relaxing around the bar. On the day of the wedding, everything came together perfectly. Many of the guests commented that it was the best wedding reception they'd ever attended.

We loved our venue and loved the simple elegance that it had. As soon as we walked around Hope Glen we knew it was where we wanted to get married. Having everything at one location was fantastic but also having separation was key. The ceremony site is beautiful (although no shade so it was a little toasty) and nice that you don't need to decorate too much because it has such great natural beauty.So nice to have the dancing barn air conditioned so guests were able to dance the night away and not be sweaty messes! We LOVED working with the day of coordinator, Eryka. Hiring her was one of the best decisions that I made for our wedding day. She made sure we had what we needed, she kept our vendors on track and checked in with them the week leading up to the wedding which was so helpful, she even brought us dessert to the tree house for after the wedding was over!

They have the beautiful bridal rooms to get ready in and the perfect wedding ceremony spot outside. The pavilion for dinner is absolutely breath taking. We stayed in the Tree House the night of our wedding and it was just magical. We chose Hope Glen the day we toured and couldn’t be more happy with our decision. Mike and Paula, the owners are such amazing people inside and out too! Thank you for all your kind words and encouragement. Our day was perfect!!

Thankfully, she saved the day when we almost missed our sunset photos due to extra unplanned speeches during the dinner. I had a handful of guests rave that it's been the best wedding and venue they've every attended! They were pleased with the atmosphere, clean bathrooms, and everyone loved the tree house tour!

Hope Glen was actually the very first wedding venue my now husband and I looked at, needless to say we fell in love immediately and left there with a wedding date set! Michael and Paula the owners at Hope Glen are some of the sweetest people we have ever met, and have had the privilege of getting to know. They are constantly working on the grounds and updating to cater to everyones needs/wants, even their goats :) We got lucky enough to meet Eryka their personal day of coordinator shortly after they hired her. She is a MUST. I have never met someone with such a passion for weddings and making sure she takes care of everything you could possibly need leading up to your special day as well as thee entire day of. Not to mention how many decorations she has brought in that you can use and she will set up however you would like! They basically have their own little Hobby Lobby with the amount of stuff they have for you to choose from! Our wedding day 10/7/18 was everything I have dreamed about and more. I look back at pictures and am still blown away by the detail and beauty this venue entails. All of our guests were speechless and in awe, I can't even begin to count thee amount of complements we have received days and now weeks since our perfect day. The Treehouse Suit was such a special way to end the night as finally husband and wife, it is such a cozy place to relax after many months of planning and a long wedding weekend! We plan on returning to the treehouse for anniversaries to come or even just little get aways. I can't imagine not having our wedding at Hope Glen and wouldn't have changed a single thing. We are beyond Thankful for Michael, Paula, Eryka and all of their preferred vendors! If we could go back and relive our wedding day, we would do it a million times over!

I could not have imagined a better venue! It was amazing to have to ceremony and reception in one place, but still plenty of room for our 250+ guests to spread out. They are constantly putting money back into the place to make it more and more unique every year. They also have a lot of decor that you can use in your wedding which saved us time and money. What we loved most about the place was the honeymoon suite tree house. It was so cozy! It's also very convenient that we didn't have to go anywhere and it is so beautiful. You will love this place truly!

Hope Glen was the dream place to have our wedding. The venue is beautiful, and we got many compliments. My only complaint would be their wedding coordinator, Kathleen. We were so excited to have our meetings with her to start planning our wedding, but I left our meetings more stresses. She was rude, not helpful, and made us feel like we were an inconvenience. I never felt like I was able to ask her questions because she was extremely rude when answering, so in the beginning we had to figure out a lot of details on our own. Hope Glen Farm is an amazing venue! We received SO many compliments about how beautiful and unique it is, even on a 90 degree day:) Our guests had plenty of room to spread out, yet still be together. And the kids were able to run around! You really don't need a lot of extra decor as the venue is beautiful all on its own. The owners are constantly adding new, fun details like more chandeliers in pavilion, vineyard vines, and more seating around the barn. We also loved that we had opportunities to visit the venue again at their open houses and I was able to arrange visits for visiting family. We worked with Kathleen the event manager and she had everything set up exactly like we had talked about when we arrived at 9AM. She also had helpful suggestions when we met for our initial and final meetings.Another positive is that, aside from the caterer, you may use any vendors you want. They have suggested vendors but no pressure to use those. We were also able to bring in just about anything we wanted. So for example I had goldfish crackers for the kids and we were able to order Dominos for late night pizza. Which also adds to the cost savings! Being able to bring in your own alcohol is huge. We used the liquor store suggested and the deliver was so helpful. We even ran out of a few things and the store made a second delivery so we didn't have to worry about sending someone. The only drawback to that is you have to take everything back out with you at the end of the night. Understandable as there will likely be another wedding the next day but adds some work and coordination on your end. However, the cost savings definitely outweigh that.Thanks to Hope Glen we had the best wedding and are looking to getting back more of our beautiful photos!

Hope Glen Farm is an amazing venue! We received SO many compliments about how beautiful and unique it is, even on a 90 degree day:) Our guests had plenty of room to spread out, yet still be together. And the kids were able to run around! You really don't need a lot of extra decor as the venue is beautiful all on its own. The owners are constantly adding new, fun details like more chandeliers in pavilion, vineyard vines, and more seating around the barn. We also loved that we had opportunities to visit the venue again at their open houses and I was able to arrange visits for visiting family. We worked with Kathleen the event manager and she had everything set up exactly like we had talked about when we arrived at 9AM. She also had helpful suggestions when we met for our initial and final meetings.Another positive is that, aside from the caterer, you may use any vendors you want. They have suggested vendors but no pressure to use those. We were also able to bring in just about anything we wanted. So for example I had goldfish crackers for the kids and we were able to order Dominos for late night pizza. Which also adds to the cost savings! Being able to bring in your own alcohol is huge. We used the liquor store suggested and the deliver was so helpful. We even ran out of a few things and the store made a second delivery so we didn't have to worry about sending someone. The only drawback to that is you have to take everything back out with you at the end of the night. Understandable as there will likely be another wedding the next day but adds some work and coordination on your end. However, the cost savings definitely outweigh that.Thanks to Hope Glen we had the best wedding and are looking to getting back more of our beautiful photos!

Absolutely magical venue for a truly unique rustic, but elegant wedding! The facilities are both gorgeous and functional. The Pavilion was a spectacular setting for the reception and both the Corn Crib Cottage and...especially...the new Treehouse provided fairly tale like accommodations for our wedding night. Paula & Michael were very pleasant to work with and the \"preferred vendors\" that we worked with were also very good. The only quibble I could make, would be regarding wedding planners. We were told that 80% of the couples who get married at Hope Glen Farms don't use one. Admittedly we were a bit of a unique situation given we planned our wedding in 12 weeks. But if we had to do it over again we would definitely use a wedding planner as even with the strong support provided, we invested a ton of time and effort.But the bottom line is that Hope Glen Farms is an incredible venue. We had a truly magical wedding there and our entire wedding party and all of our of guests had an absolutely blast. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Kathy the manager, helped incorporate our dreams into every aspect, Not to mention very knowledgeable about every detail of the wedding day, and the owners are super nice and very flexible and have your best interest in mind! And the most important part to us was that Jesus is the center of the whole venue! If your questioning whether or not to have your wedding here, you can't go wrong with this choice!

Hope Glen Farm was so beautiful lite up at night. One guest said she has been to over 300 weddings and this was the most beautiful she has ever seen. This was my son's wedding and we need a venue that allowed us to choose a Kosher caterer and bring our own Kosher wine. Very few places do that. They were so accomodating.

We're so glad we went with Hope Glen. The day was amazing and the place was beautiful. It's great that they include so many small details that other venues didn't seem to include when we were looking for places. We also followed most of their recommendations for vendors and glad we did! We did not like the security guard for several professional reasons but I know this isn't necessarily Hope Glen's fault so that's why I still give it 5 stars. We truly have so many great reasons why we liked this venue that I can't write it all down.

Absolutely loved this venue! So glad we went with it. Kathy and Sherry were great and we are so glad we used them as our coordinators. The day was perfect and went so smoothly. It was absolutely beautiful and we lucked out with the only day of the week that did not rain! There wasn't a cloud in the sky!!!!!! The only thing I wish was different that they allowed you to use your own caterer. The caterers they allow are very spendy, but otherwise everything was perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved my wedding and everything about it!\r\rThere were several things that were changed from my original venue tour - updates on the venue all for the better.\r\rCONS:\r\rThe owners aren't the best at communicating changes to their current clients. I booked my venue 2 years before my date due to not having any Saturday availability. In that time the had to enforce policies and rules but failed to communicate those changes to me. There were a few surprises the month of my wedding that I had to scramble to change and adjust. It all worked out but if I would have known all of the hoops that would need to be jumped through I might have picked a different venue with more customer service and overall business acumen.\r\rAlso, you can bring in all of your own décor, vendors, etc. but it is A TON of work! It was well worth it to have my vision come to life. Just know that the work will be on you. The venue only rents you out the space and tables & chairs! I had to bring everything from linens to spout pourer for alcohol.

I cannot say enough about Hope Glen Farm. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, the venue is breathtaking, and it is impossible to not have a beautiful wedding there! They are constantly taking \rsuggestions and adding new things to make the venue as comfortable, accessible and stunning as possible. From the time we booked until the day of our wedding, every single time we visited the farm there was a new improvement. There are a million reasons why we loved this venue, but here are a few of the top ones. \rThe nature of the venue allows you to have a small intimate wedding or a large one like ours very seamlessly. They had enough seating to accommodate everyone and no one felt crowded. Once the dancing portion began, guests were able to be in the barn dancing, out on the patio, or sitting on the beautiful new deck. Everyone was still together, comfortable, and enjoying themselves. We also loved having our ceremony & reception all in one place because we did not have to worry about transportation between the two and we had more time for fun! It is beautiful at any time of year and with any amount of décor. Kathleen is the venue manager and when you meet with her she helps you tremendously with planning and organizing your timelines for the day, items that you may need them to set up (including table layouts, and where you would like arbors, etc.), and tips and tricks from past brides. When we arrived the morning of the wedding, the tables and chairs were all ready to go and any other heavy things were set up exactly where we had discussed. They even setup a platform for our musicians during the ceremony. \r\rAlthough the fee for the venue is not the lowest, it certainly evens itself out with all that they include and your freedom in booking your vendors. The cost to book the venue includes very beautiful and well-made tables and chairs to accommodate at least 300 (and they are constantly making more), air conditioning and heat in the pavilion and the barn, a large room with tons of mirrors and outlets for the bridal party to get ready in, hookups and a screen for slideshows, tons of small items such as tables and arbors for your use, and so much more. All of these things saved us tons of money on décor and made setting up and getting ready much easier to do. We also saved money by having the \rability to bring in our own hair & makeup, photography, floral, dessert, and especially alcohol. They ask \ryou to bring in bartenders from the Minnesota School of Bartending who are extremely professional and know the venue well ($15 an hour per bartender). They setup and totally handle the bar for you. We were able to buy our favorite beer and wine from wherever we wanted, which meant we could take advantage of deals and coupons! Whatever was left over we could take home. When we did the math, we were able to have an open bar for 300 people and spend less money than we would having a cash bar through an alcohol caterer that some venues require (you still have to pay the tax and gratuity on the cash bars). \r\rMy husband and I look back on our wedding and we do not have a single complaint. Multiple guests told us how much fun they had and what a lovely place it was. It was a gorgeous day and the perfect venue for us. We were able to have open air for our vows to each other and comfortable covered areas for the dinner and dancing. It could not have been more perfect and that is mostly thanks for Hope Glen Farm!
