We got married here in September and truly had the best experience. From the beginning, Annie was organized and so helpful. Throughout the process Annie and team helped us navigate the stress of wedding planning seamlessly. The Mansion was a gorgeous venue, we barely had to invest in any decor because it was already so beautiful. Our guests raved about the location, food, ambiance, and overall organization of the day. We had an outside ceremony on the lawn which was beautiful and dance the night away in the ballroom. We could not be happier with our experience. Truly 10/10!

We had our wedding at the King Mansion in Harrisburg, with Abby as our JDK wedding coordinator. The venue was stunning, and everything that we could dream of. Abby was organized, communicated well to address our concerns, and was very professional. The food was amazing, and the staff during our wedding were professional, led by Todd, our event manager. Overall, we were extremely pleased with Abby and the venue.

This review would be less stars, however the bartenders and food staff were excellent. Management and coordinators leave a lot to be desired. I am writing this review as I am 100% positive my wife has much more to say. The one MASSIVE thing that I would like other couples to know is that our JDK wedding coordinator let us know at 4:20 she was leaving for another event. We were getting married at 4:30. We were never told about this prior, it came as a complete shock right before we walked the aisle. No other coordinator was on site and we were left high and dry. Someone showed up and introduced themselves to us after our ceremony and vows. Between the event above, a few others (including the heat blasting in the reception area with no one knowing how to get the AC on), and JDK's horrible communication we were so disappointed. I never leave reviews (as someone in the service industry) but other couples need to know that our experience with King Mansion / JDk was not a good one at all.

King Mansion was the first and only wedding reception venue we looked at because it instantly checked all of our boxes on our vision. Classic and romantic was the vibe we were going for and King Mansion was exactly that. It fit all 150 of our guests comfortably.

The venue is fantastic. It provides the charm of a historic home, with updated, modern finishes. The best of both worlds! We particularly liked that there are beautiful rooms with comfortable seating for guests to chat throughout the entire night if they would prefer to be in a quieter space away from the band. It provides beautiful views of the river for sunset photos. Beautiful and functional, and I would highly recommend it.

The venue is fantastic. It provides the charm of a historic home, with updated, modern finishes. The best of both worlds! King Mansion is truly a hidden gem in Harrisburg. It gives South of France vibes without the need for our friends and family to travel too far - the absolute perfect venue for us! Every inch of this venue is gorgeous and also very functional (i.e. wonderful getting ready spaces for the guys and girls). Additionally, having the JDK team on board was a huge reason why everything went as flawlessly as it did on our wedding day. They are true professionals who are just simply great at what they do. A couple of months before my wedding, my coordinator Julianna left to pursue career opportunities in NYC and Alyssa took over so seamlessly and was a joy to work with! The food was also one of the most talked about aspects of our wedding and the wait staff was amazing and so courteous. I would highly recommend having your wedding at King Mansion and I would gladly work with JDK again and again.

Having my wedding at King Mansion was the best decision I've ever made! The venue is absolutely breathtaking with so many amenities and amazing photo opportunities. King Mansion, along with the JDK Group, did an amazing job hosting our wedding. Our coordinator Alyssa and the rest of the staff were great to work with and all of our guests loved the venue and raved about the food! The mansion is stunning and offers great bridal and grooms suites to get ready in. This venue is incredible. It provides a modernized Gatsby feel and the space is HUGE. Both the bride and groom's suites are spacious. We appreciated the option for an outdoor ceremony, but opted to have it in the ballroom. The multiple parlor rooms are beautifully decorated and allow for guests who don't dance to have a space to have conversations and actually be able to hear each other--all of them got used throughout the night! The venue offers ample parking and is convenient for local hotels. I cannot speak highly enough about how smooth and efficient things went with this venue! It is gorgeous, a true hidden gem! We worked with Abby throughout the process and she was incredible in helping bring our vision to life!

The mansion is gorgeous and the ballroom made the perfect location to host the dinner, a video/presentation to celebrate the employees, as well as dancing after dinner wrapped up. In addition to the ballroom, the other rooms available allowed the guests to meander around with a cocktail in hand to enjoy the other activities our company had available for us to enjoy. I 100% recommend Historic King Mansion for anyone looking to host their party, wedding, or any other celebration!

Historic King Mansion was absolutely our dream wedding venue and did not disappoint! JDK did a wonderful job of coordinating and executed our vision perfectly. Since JDK manages the venue and is the exclusive caterer, we felt like everything was so seamless and stress free. The venue itself is so romantic and provides a lot of different opportunities for great photos. We loved that there is a lot of seating and different spaces within the mansion for our guests to mingle. JDK set up bar tables and the most beautiful displays which added to the atmosphere of our beautiful day. Our guests also raved about the food, and we loved the amount of options that were available to choose from! If you’re thinking about booking your wedding here, absolutely do it.

This is the most beautiful venue in Harrisburg to host a wedding! The remodeled interior is the perfect combination of old character with new amenities and charm. There are plenty of areas for guest to mingle both inside and out, so you never have to worry about the elements or bad weather, but if you are blessed with good weather, guests can certainly enjoy the views of the river and patio out front. Our guests were amazed from start to finish with not only the venue, but the amazing service and food from JDK! Couldn't be happier with our day, just wish we could do it all over again!!!

The King Mansion was the perfect space for our wedding reception! I have been driving past it since my now-husband and I started dating, telling him that it was where our wedding would be and I am so glad we did! The location on the water is absolutely stunning. We loved that it had parking for guests as well as an easy area for our trolley to drop off guests. The different rooms allowed our guests to enjoy the band and dance or sit in quieter rooms for conversation. We worked with Julianna from JDK and she was exceptional at bringing our vision to life! JDK catering was also perfect- we have gotten so many compliments on our food and their service was impeccable. We could not recommend King Mansion more!

I’ve attended multiple events at Historic King Mansion, and it’s such an amazing wedding and event space! Each room has been beautifully restored, from the elegant grand staircase which guests see as soon as they walk through the door, to the bride’s suite, groom’s room, parlor, and main ballroom. The interior of the mansion is the perfect blend of classic and contemporary—it has a high-end, timeless style, but also a casual, intimate feel. The outside of the mansion is also stunning, with wonderful photo opportunities on majestic second-story balconies and terraces overlooking the Susquehanna River! I frequently attend events at the finest venues in Washington, DC, and King Mansion can compete with any of them! King Mansion has taken weddings in Harrisburg and Central PA to a whole new level, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

We had already booked our venue with a deposit when we found about the Historic Kings Mansion. With COVID however we were afraid the ceremony at the church may not be able to happen. We toured the mansion and fell in love with every room as well as the balconies and outside. The church assured us we would not have a problem but I could not get the mansion out of my mind. We were able to reserve the mansion for photos before and after the ceremony and the photos are amazing. Jaime was there when we got there and a bridesmaids zipper had broken on the limo bus. She mediately said I have needle and thread and fixed it immediately. She got the men's Boutineers on moves furniture and was quite frankly a Godsend! If you are looking for something boujee or a step up this is the place!

My now husband and I decided early on that we wanted a cocktail style wedding where our family & friends could mingle while enjoying their food & drink. The mansion has a designated caterer/event coordination, the JDK Group. They executed our cocktail style wedding that included several food stations (for example: pierogi station, hanging pretzel wall, slider station, charcuterie & cheese board), his & her drinks and ensured the flow of the event was seamless and interesting. We had wanted a venue with multiple rooms & options to flow throughout as well as an indoor/outdoor option. The mansion provides a designated reception space but also allows the guests to move throughout the sitting rooms and outside on the porch. Our wedding was to be an outdoor wedding on the lawn, but it had rained that day, so our ceremony was moved indoors, and the set-up was beautiful and intimate. The mansion also lends itself as a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos that also includes views and photo opportunities of the Susquehanna River. The 1920’s, recently renovated mansion was everything that we had wanted in the venue for our wedding.

The venue was understanding of our dilemma and made me feel so much better after working together on a rescheduled date. It is recently renovated and absolutely gorgeous! Just take a chance and check it out; you will not be disappointed! We worked with Molly who was very knowledgeable on general questions we had during the wedding planning. JDK is the caterer and their food is the best (we still get compliments from guests to this day). Seriously such a perfect day!! Highly recommend to everyone!

My (now) husband and I had our wedding photos taken here. Every room is beautiful and provides many options for photos. The grand staircase is perfect to show off trains. The balconies provide great photo opportunities with a view of the river.

We had our wedding here last week and it was perfect!! The Mansion is beautiful and our guests were so impressed. The bridal and grooms suites are roomy and updated. We loved being right by the river and the picture opportunities are great! The Mansion is so very clean, open, and bright. We are so incredibly happy we chose this venue for our wedding.

Although we did not ultimately choose King Mansion for our venue, we had an amazing experience touring with Molly and it was definitely tough walking away from this venue. The main reason we did not choose it was the lack of on site accommodations. However, the venue is absolutely gorgeous and has beautiful spots for pictures. Molly was the main attraction for us though! This location was the first tour we did and she spent as much time with us as we needed answering all of our questions and giving us every detail of the venue. She sat with us and got to know us as a couple which made the entire experience so much more personal, and it was something none of the other venues did. We had so much confidence that she'd be able to help us plan the perfect wedding day and it was clear she was willing to go above and beyond. Definitely wish we could take her along to the venue we ended up choosing!

The Historic King Mansion truly exceeded our expectations! The Mansion itself is stunning and the front lawn was the perfect place for our ceremony. JDK Catering was the best is making our entire wedding picture perfect. We wanted our guests to have a stress free and relaxing evening, with minimal travel, so we were able to have the ceremony on the front lawn, cocktail hour inside the mansion and the reception in a tent on the other side of the lawn. Michelle was extremely helpful in the entire planning process and assisted us during our rehearsal as well as the day of the wedding, going above and beyond, even cueing the bridal party. The Mansion was spotless and the bridal suite was stunning! Our pictures from the balcony were beautiful! I was slightly concerned about the noise from front street, but it wasn't an issue. Our DJ (mixed up productions) provided a microphone. I am sooo thrilled with our wedding at the Historic King Mansion!!!
