Hiwassee River Weddings and Events is a hand-crafted timber frame wedding venue that sits in the middle of an enchanted forest in Delano, TE. Nestled on the crystal clear Hiwassee River at the base of the Appalachian mountains, you can enjoy the utmost nature and luxury at this establishment. The venue is halfway between Knoxville and Chattanooga, making it easy to reach and close to accommodation. This stunning venue offers three ceremony sites, including a riverfront ceremony space, a forest ceremony site, and a beautiful interior ceremony site that is climate controlled. The family-owned private estate sits on a 19-acre peninsula, forested and enclosed by mature river oaks and loblollies, picturesque mountains, shaded woods, lush trees, and the Hiwassee River. You and up to 150 guests can commemorate your milestone in this idyllic setting. It offers various indoor and outdoor event spaces, including a 5,600-square-foot light and airy hand-made timber-frame event center (made from trees on the property by the owner himself) trimmed with custom ironwork. With a climate-controlled interior, the event center features elegant vintage lighting and exposed wood beams, making for a beautiful indoor reception and ceremony. The property also features two wedding suites for you and your beloved to relax and prepare. Hiwassee River Weddings offers a variety of services available all year round. You can enjoy exclusive use of the venue for 10 hours to celebrate in the utmost privacy. Furniture and chairs can be provided with round or rectangular tables. The events specialists here can provide a list of recommended vendors sure to bring your vision to life. The team also offers a complimentary one-hour rehearsal where you can practice for your big day.

The Hiwassee River venue is immaculate and stunning. We had a dream wedding and so much of it was thanks to Bill and his place. The ceremony sites are dreamy. The reception hall is dreamy. Grooms and brides suite are dreamy. Everything is dreamy here. Bill is so skilled, he truly loves what he does and it shows. Believe it or not, he built the venue himself! He was eager to show us all the options and give us ideas. It meant a lot that he was so enthusiastic and found true joy in our wedding experience. He is so genuinely kind and friendly this way with everyone, always smiling. Our wedding was the best day of our lives; we replayed every second in our heads for days. We thought we knew what people meant when they said “it was the best day of my life.” But we didn’t. It was beyond anything we imagined. Everything was just perfect and we could not be any happier. This was an experience we will deeply cherish forever, memories we will never forget. We are blessed to have found Hiwassee River. I wish I could give them 10 stars!

I had the wedding of my dreams at Hiwassee River Weddings on November 4th, 2023! The venue is absolutely breathtaking year round and provides so much natural beauty to complement any flowers/decor. My husband and I got married here in November 2023. The venue had recommendations for quality vendors and had staff present on the wedding day to help everything run smoothly. We had our dream ceremony at the beautiful forest location and got lots of wonderful pictures at the many photo sites on the property. We could not have been happier with our choice of venue!

The folks at Hiwassee River Weddings made my daughter’s wedding day a truly magical experience. The venue itself is so beautiful and the attention to her big day made it a stress-free and completely enjoyable experience. Bill and his staff were so kind and friendly. They helped throughout the entire process and truly cared that her day was perfect. I am so thankful for the wonderful pictures and priceless memories made at this venue.

The venue was an absolute dream, and we had a wonderful time. The sneak peek photos we’ve received from the photographer so far have given us chills because everything turned out perfectly. I’m so glad we were able to have our wedding at your beautiful venue!

How do you even put into words the true genuine magic this venue brings? There aren’t any! From Bill and his staff making you feel like family, to the gorgeous details of the venue inside and out, everything about this place made a once little girl’s fairy tale dream wedding come to life! From the bottom of my heart, my family and I are forever grateful to Bill and Hiwassee River Weddings!

if you are like me and my husband and have grown up on the water your whole life... PICK THIS PLACE! Bill and his crew are AMAZING to work with. My husband and I were blessed by these people and their love of events. I cannot thank them enough for my wedding celebration in May at their beautiful place. I am still hearing about how awesome our venue was and the atmosphere was electric! Highly recommend. We love you guys!! They have 2 places you can pick from for your ceremony -- the river or the forest, both are SO dreamy. Just being on the site is something different -- away from the city, lost in nature with loved ones from near and far.. if you haven't fallen in love yet, go check it out yourself!

I can't say enough good things about this venue! I had gone to a wedding at a different outdoor venue the weekend prior, so in my opinion the best part of Hiwassee River Weddings & Events was that there were no mosquitos to fight off! Bill does a great job of ensuring that his property is well kept as although it was outdoors & had that vibe, it was very clean inside and out with the landscaping and interior of the building. Bill is so helpful and sincere. I would want to go to a wedding here again.

Hiwassee River Weddings and Events gave us the most picture perfect wedding day we could have imagined. The scenery there is incredible, and pictures could never do it justice. It was the first venue we visited and we ended up calling Bill on the road home to book with him because it was just perfect! The team there is even better! Bill, the owner, is truly the kindest person, and he goes above and beyond to make sure couples are getting everything they need and want. He even held up a curtain for me to hide behind to run outside so that no guests would see me as I was preparing to walk down the aisle! The wedding planner Liz also took care of everything so seamlessly that we did not even have to think about anything except seeing each other and saying \"I do.\" In the midst of a global pandemic AND a thunderstorm on our wedding day, we felt so taken care of and safe in the hands of Hiwasseee River Weddings and their team.You'll also have SO many options for places to take photos! The trees, river, and lighting create an amazing backdrop no matter where you are on the property. Plus, it's about 10 degrees cooler there than anywhere else due to the shade and proximity to the water! (A huge plus for a summer wedding.) It even rained on our wedding day, and everything got moved inside, and it was more beautiful than I think it would have been with our original outdoor plan. With all the madness that 2020 brought us, the team here ensured that we did not lift a finger and our day went off without a hitch! I could sing the praises of this place all day long, but just rest assured you'd be getting the kindest staff, the most efficient team, and the most beautiful setting for your big day. I'm honestly sad that it's over, and I wish I could go back and re-do it every weekend!
