Kyra Doolan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-04-2018 I booked Hoffman Haus for my wedding and absolutely loved the venue. Its a gorgeous place for a smaller wedding (we had 80 people). I loved that most of our guests could stay on the property and the ones that didn't were a quick walk away. We had our ceremony in the garden and our reception inside the great hall. Everything looked beautiful. We hired Shonda, from the venue, as our day of planner and she was amazing. It ended up being 50 degrees on our wedding day...in April! She did an amazing job of accommodating the unexpected weather by putting blankets out for our ceremony and space heaters for our cocktail hour. She even found us a babysitter to sit at our kid's table so their parents could relax! The venue also makes everything very easy with outside vendors. You can use your own catering company and provide your own alcohol which was great. We saved a ton of money on the bar by doing that. I highly recommend Hoffman Haus and everyone who works there. They made our big day a dream! Reviewed on 11-04-2018

I had a really wonderful time at the Hoffman Haus for our wedding reception. Overall the value is great and the venue is beautiful! The event coordinator communicated very well. There are a few things I think would have elevated the experience:- The total guest count was 100 which involved having several tables in the patio area of the main hall. Unfortunately there wasn’t fans to help cool the outside guests down. The weather was unpredictable (mid 90s on 9/30/23). If you plan to have outdoor tables, you will need to invest in outdoor curtain paneling or sacrificing the dance floor area inside.- The popcorn bar ran out during the reception. It would be good to have someone available to keep it stocked.- One of the rented cabins’ AC broke, and the guest was not attended to until the following afternoon. It would be a good idea to have an easier to contact after hours facilities/maintenance rather than having to wait until the next day.I highly recommend the Hoffman if your guest count is 70 and under if you’d like to have it indoors. If you’re looking for outdoors, there’s plenty of room in between the main area but you’ll need to keep a close eye on the weather forecast and avoid the October month to schedule as it is booked out far in advance for Oktoberfest. I can't describe how truly wonderful it was to have our wedding here. We didn't have a chance to see the property in person before booking (yikes) but the Event Coordinator, Natalie, went above and beyond to facetime us between ice storms so that we could see the venue. We fell in love with it from there, and every single minute we spend there after was absolutely wonderful. Our guests raved about the accommodations and it was absolutely perfect for our vision of a family wedding. The spaces are so beautiful and well maintained, but beyond that it truly felt like it's own little place outside of the busy main street. The staff are absolutely amazing and make you feel like the highest honored guests. The food provided for breakfast is also AMAZING and so fresh. My husband and I can't stop reminiscing on how perfect everything was, and the best part - this is someplace we can visit for our anniversary every year to remember the most wonderful day. Jennifer Hendl(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-04-2020 My fiance and I were scheduled to get married at Hoffman Haus on April 4, 2020. As I'm sure every woman can relate, this is one of the most important days of our lives, a day that we've looked forward to for a long time.We were planning a wedding weekend - April 3rd Welcome Dinner catered by Saltlick with the Texas Unlimited Country Band and April 4th Wedding (romantic and ethereal). We reserved the entire property for the weekend – our guests had reserved all of the rooms at Hoffman. Throughout the wedding planning process, Shonda and her Hoffman Haus team were so helpful - allowing us to visit the venue multiple times to ensure everything was organized perfectly. Shonda graciously offered solutions and ideas when we needed furniture, lighting, draping, chairs, or a tent that fit our specific wedding vision. As a type A personality myself, Shonda patiently answered all of our questions and was there to make sure we had what we needed to have our dream wedding. When the Federal recommendations and State regulations restricted the size of in-person gatherings due to the COVID-19 epidemic, our April 3-4 wedding at Hoffman Haus was rendered infeasible. Flights were cancelled, gatherings of 10 or more people discouraged via CDC quarantine rules and subsequently banned by state and local laws. An unforeseen disaster for us, our guests, and our vendors. Aaron and I are unable to reschedule at this time as too many things are unknown at the moment - these regulations could remain in effect for a long time. Months and years, not weeks. We're left scrambling to deal with vendors who can no longer perform their services in addition dealing with the heightened anxiety of this pandemic and the emotional loss of having our wedding abruptly and forcibly cancelled beyond our control. We immediately called HH. As a family owned business, they understood what we were going through and that this unfortunate situation was outside of our control. They released us from our obligation to rent all of the rooms, and converted our deposit into a giftcard for a future visit to their venue. They waived our event fee as well. I tear up just writing this, as their actions were conducted with such honor and benevolence.Shonda told us - We are a family owned business and that is not how we conduct ourselves here (referring to requiring us to pay the full event fee and unreserved rooms). Hoffman Haus and all B&B and hotel chains are going to suffer tremendously as a result of COVID-19. How businesses treat customers during this crisis will create a ripple effect for years to come.Aaron and I will go to Hoffman Haus as soon as we are legally allowed for our future anniversaries and weekend getaways, and we will share this story with everyone we know.Hoffman Haus is an amazing bed and breakfast run by people who conduct themselves with utmost integrity and honor, even under the most dire of circumstances - please support them. Amanda Bloom(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-03-2015 I cannot say enough amazing things about Hoffman Haus! I was drawn to this venue because you rent out the entire property for the weekend. So it really feel like a party all weekend with all of our favorite people! We had our rehearsal dinner there Friday night and it was a comfortable casual atmosphere. SaturdayAnnabelle took care of everything and I was pretty stress free. We stayed in the Weber cabin and it was perfect for pictures and for getting ready. The guys got ready in the Basse Haus and we got married in their beautiful garden. The guests were so complimentary of the service provided by the staff and the breakfast delivered every morning was different and amazing every day. It was reasonably priced for our 80 person wedding and we couldn't have dreamt of anything better!! Reviewed on 08-04-2015
Claire Perkins(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-04-2014 I stayed at the Basse house while getting ready. We took family pictures there (we used Kairos as our venue). My only complaint was that the beds in that specific house were as hard as a rock! My parents loved it, but I didn't- personal preference. Most of my bridal party stayed at Hoffman and their beds were great. But I wouldn't let the bed situation be a deterrent; the breakfast is wonderful, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and the place is very clean. But you do need to bring your own paper towels! That is the only thing (other than trashbags) that was missing in the full kitchen. Reviewed on 06-05-2014
