Amy Shoemaker(wedding party)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-07-2017 We recently held a HS sports banquet at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg/Hershey. Planning was a breeze with Deanna, and the service and venue the day of the event was fantastic. Most importantly, the food was delicious! I would definitely recommend this venue for anyone planning an event. Reviewed on 24-05-2016

Katie Carney-Blose(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-10-2013 This is the hotel we used for our guest accommodation because it was close to our venue and had the Winners Circle bar downstairs. The guests said the rooms were nice; however, they did not include breakfast. Some of the reservations were lost as well, so check in was not as efficient as it could have been. Stephanie Mahaffey(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-08-2013 We got a good deal, no minimums as it was an \"off\" month, plus 10 complimentary meals & 5 complimentary rooms. We were promised things in the beginning that did not come through, but we also had 4 different people involved in our wedding planning from the hotel. We still had a great time & the other vendors complimented on how nice it was to work with them. Reviewed on 17-09-2013
Sarha Machamer(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-08-2013 There were a few issues and a little disappointed, but if they only mess up on small this, it didn't ruin my day. Even if you are very detailed how you want things they make it there way. Reviewed on 28-08-2013
Bonnie Yaeger(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-01-2012 All of our guests loved the food and were raving about how nice the ballroom was. The service was great and food was amazing! Amanda the wedding coordinator is really easy to work with and knows how to make the venue look perfect! The only negative we had was that the open bar ran out of certain kinds of alcohol. Oher than that it was amazing! Reviewed on 07-02-2012
Ashley Boyd(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-06-2011 The reception staff at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg Hershey was phenomenal. the hall looked beautiful and the food was great. Unfortunately the hotel itself messed up many rooms that were booked by guests. Reviewed on 05-07-2011
Sara Golesich(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-09-2010 Our wedding coordinator was amazing and the planning process went very well (13 months). The day of the wedding our wedding coordinator was unable to be present and everything went downhill. When my husband and I arrived no one knew what to do with us and we waited for 35 minutes for them to give us a room (because of this I had to be ready and in my dress in less than 2 hours), which wasn't even our promised room. While getting my hair and make-up done we had to switch to our actual room...and it was an inconvenience. Many other small things went wrong as well. However, the food was good and after we worked through the bumps in the beginning everything else went okay. I would not recommend this venue to anyone, especially for a wedding. Ashlee Janusziewicz(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-08-2010 I spent lots of time with our planner at the Holiday Inn. We had made up welcome baskets for guests that booked under our name, each one with a letter made out to a family/friend. In order to insure that the welcome baskets were given to the correct people I made a list for the front desk people to check off who picked theirs up. Turns out the front desk staff decided to offer our baskets to anyone, even people not there for our wedding. Our cake had 4-5 different flavors, we were told that the wait staff would ask our guests what flavor they would want. On our wedding day not only did they not ask what flavor our guests wanted, but some didn't even get cake at all. The next day we were given a free voucher for the brunch. Since we had many family members staying overnight we got up earlier to find out where brunch was. When we got downstairs we saw a hostess standing outside of a room that had brunch in it. We handed our voucher in and she was all confused. She told us that we could use it in 3 different places and then thought mabye we were to use it in the private room. (where the other wedding that was at the hotel was eating) Then we decided to ask how much it was for guests, since our guests were given a rate of $17.99. She had to ask someone else again and wasn't sure. Meanwhile, our family/friends began to gather to greet each other while we tried to figure out where we were supposed to be. The hostess was rude enough to ask them, are you eating here or just going to stand here? After all the money we spent between the reception and hotel stays we were not treated respectfully. Jennifer Neill(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-07-2006 I loved the free room the night of and the free breakfast the next morning. I loved how they took the time to find out exactly what I wanted. Everything else was just great, not necessarily on a I loved it scale.;Make sure to be very specific about what you want with everything. My Matron of Honor and I spent a lot of time stuffing purple grass into flutes to match the theme of the wedding expecting the hotel to use their own flutes for the toast but they did not. They took out and threw away all that grass to fill the flutes that were to be favors. Reviewed on 31-08-2007
