Overall our wedding was beautiful & the day of was fine. However working with the Hyatt Regency at Villa Christina was not smooth & very stressful. There was a lot of turn over in the 6 months leading up to the event that caused for miscommunication & things not going smoothly (We went through 3 points of contacts during this time). The last turn over happened one week before the wedding. Also, the points of contacts would only be available to talk Wed – Fri as Sat and Sun they were very busy with events & their days off were usually Mon & Tues. This lead to things getting missed like voicemails & questions in emails. There were things that Ljerka or Doug had agreed to but wouldn't get passed along to Kenyada & she wasn’t able to do it on such short notice such as the timing of when the food would come out for the main course.One of the reasons we chose the Hyatt was due to that most of our guests were out of towners so the hotel & venue under the same roof provided a lot of convenience. Ljerka & Doug were both very accommodating to let us keep adding more rooms to the hotel block as they would fill up & they were helpful with special arrangements like suites for my parents & my sister's family. Doug gave us the heads up when they would not be able to add any more rooms (which at that point was over 50 rooms & just about everyone that wanted a room got a room). There was a bit of panic though because the sales team and the hotel front desk didn’t have a way of communicating that a room from the hotel block had been booked & when we’d have guests call the hotel to confirm their reservations, a lot of them were told that there was no reservation under their name. All guests did in fact have their reservation but it did cause a bit of stress and unnecessary back & forth between sales & hotel. A lot of our guests (including our room! Yes the bridal suite) weren't ready for check in & many of us had to wait a couple extra hours for our rooms to be ready for check in.Kenyada was very accommodating for some last minute chair/table changes the week of the wedding. There was however one table that we didn’t change that was missing some chairs. I also don’t think we had enough chairs for the ceremony as there were a lot of guests standing which many of them told me it was because they didn’t have a chair to sit in.I’m not completely convinced we got all the food that we ordered for as well. For cocktail hour we had ordered a seafood display and all we saw was shrimp (there should have been lobster rolls, muscles, clams, etc). I thought I might have missed this being the bride but the guests that I talked to all said the shrimp was great and when I’d ask “did you have or see any other seafood” they all said no. Also our photographer managed to get a couple of pictures of just the shrimp during cocktail hours, but no seafood. I discussed this with Kenyada after the event and she said that we got all the food we ordered, but I’m still not sure if we did. For dessert we had two stations, the cookies and cream and the s'mores. We did get all the food from both, but I was disappointed how it was presented as the s’mores station ended up being presented as toppings for the ice cream.I don’t blame Kenyada for any of this as she had just started a couple of weeks before our date and was thrown into a mess left from her predecessors. I really hope they’ve hired another colleague for her to work with.

She helped us at every step, provided outstanding resources, managed each detail and even jumped in the Sunday of the wedding as interim sound controller during the ceremony. Unreal!. The venue was gorgeous, the service great and the food was outstanding...equivalent to any fine dining restaurant around. We can't say enough positive words about the entire experience and HIGHLY recommend the Hyatt Regency at Perimeter Villa Christina for your wedding or any other personal or business event.

These positive reviews are from months and even years ago. I got married here September 14, 2019. Sara and Julie left the venue while my wedding was in the works. As you can see the great reviews involve them. WARNING: they are not there. I would call multiple times and never get a response for days. I cried so many times. It was terrible and so unorganized. For instance: the replacement woman they hired called my husband the wrong name the day before the wedding./My guests would check in and the front desk would not give them the welcome bags I had put together./They accidentally sent me a bat mitzah final bill. There are so many more examples. If I hadn't have had my amazing wedding planner I don't know what I would have done. It is a beautiful place, but just make sure they aren't understaffed before booking here. I will also say that the food was really good thanks to the restaurant/catering department.

I truly enjoyed the food and customer service at the Villa Christina. The day of staff were great and Sara and Julie were also wonderful to work with as the venue coordinators. Sara managed to handle 3 weddings in one day that were all inside. Two were supposed to be outside, not mine, but it rained. My only disappointment was the weather on my wedding day didnt allow for pictures outside, which is a plus at this venue. And possibly parking may have been an issue for some of my guests. If you book this venue, make sure the beef is on your menu. My guests cant stop talking about it. Lol. The bridal suite and groom suite were perfect sizes for everyone to get ready. The family got up the next morning to attend the Easter Brunch, which is good as well.

Our wedding at the Hyatt and Villa Christina was amazing. From our very first experience with Julie when we toured the facility, to our planning meetings with Melanie, to the very last minute of the day after the wedding when we checked out, everything was superb. Melanie and Julie were amazing...along with all the other staff at the hotel. We felt like royalty every time we were there and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We got married in the larger garden behind Villa Christina and it was such a beautiful venue. The reception hall was also great and the food was amazing! I could go on and on about how great our experience at this venue was. They thought of every little detail, including champagne and orange juice the morning of the wedding delivered to the bridal suite to enjoy while we were getting ready. It was the perfect day and I'm so glad we chose Villa Christina and the Hyatt as our wedding venue. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for making our day so special and memorable.

Sara Frazier helped us have the wedding of our dreams this past November. We could not speak higher of her communication skills and professionalism. She was always friendly, well-informed, and patient. Sara was amazing with our families, and always stayed true to our desires. Thank you, Sara! Julie Bilecky was also involved- we enjoyed working with her to decide the initial venue package and appreciated her flexibility and kindness. We had our cocktail hour on the patio and the restaurant. Guests loved walking around the gardens, and the Magnolia Room was perfect for our 130 guests. The staff at Villa Christina were timely and attentive during dinner/dessert, and everyone loved the food. There was another wedding in the ballroom next door at the same time as ours, but we didn't notice at all. The bridal suit was beautiful and quiet. The venue was great, and Sara made the evening flawless.

Th Hyatt was the absolute most wonderful place we could have picked to have our wedding! Everything was absolutely perfect! The venue itself is absolutely wonderful because you don't have to choose between a beautiful venue and the convenience of a hotel. The ceremony was absolutely gorgeous out in the Hyatt garden- absolutely gorgeous for a fall wedding! There are also so many spots for pretty pictures you really don't feel like you're at a hotel at all! The reception was absolutely wonderful as well! The azalea ballroom is lovely and spacious with a gorgeous chandelier in the center and little outside patio areas for those needing a breather. The food was delicious! The staff was wonderful! The drinks were great! Julie was an absolute delight to work with! So many guests said it was the best wedding they've ever been to! And so nice for them to be able to stay there that night instead of driving back home or out of towers to have to shuttle back to a hotel after the reception- one stop shot. It made it more of a weekend then just wedding day. So. Much. Fun! I can't say enough good things about the Hyatt!

From start to finish, having our daughter's wedding here was the BEST decision!!! Julie Bilecky was our venue coordinator and she is truly the most wonderful person. She handled all of the details efficiently, including last minute changes with guests not coming and accommodating those who decided to attend! Everything was clear, concise, and put in writing, and we were never talked into anything that we didn't want. She went above and beyond to assure that the bride and groom got exactly what they wanted. We had Plan A, B, and C, in case of inclement weather, which thankfully, we didn't need, but the peace of mind was priceless. The venue, itself, is exquisite! It's the kind of place in which fairy tales are made. The outdoor gardens are stunning and the indoor ballrooms, magical. It's not all visual bells and whistles, either. The food was absolutely delicious!!! And we are foodies. Our guests enjoyed a lovely stay at the Hyatt Regency at Villa Christina. The front desk staff, the restaurant staff, the event staff, as well as the valets, all made us feel like they were as invested in our big day as we were. We can't praise all of them, enough. We are so grateful to have chosen them.

My daughter and now son in law, got married in October 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Perimeter. I can not say enough good things about it -from start to finish. We booked the date about one year ahead and from the very beginning to the last check out and follow up to pick up odds and ends everything went so smoothly. They wanted a place to make a weekend out of the wedding not just a day. We have alot of out of town family on both sides and wanted them to be able to enjoy and not have to travel via shuttle to the event venue then back to the hotel. The planning, was so smooth, the tastings, the questions back and forth, final meetings, rehersal and actual ceremony and wedding reception went off without a hitch. The service, food, drinks excellent, and venues are gorgeous. We had an outdoor ceremony in the garden that was something that would make you think you were in the country not in Perimeter! So pretty!! Ballroom was beautiful, with the bonus outdoor terraces were such a nice surprise addition. We worked with Julie Bilecky and she is personable, helpful and fun to coordinate with. We were in the villa suite and its large enough to entertain guests for your welcome reception after the rehearsal dinner comfortably. Don't hesitate book this venue if you are thinking about it, you wont regret it!!

My daughter and now son in law, got married in October 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Perimeter. I can not say enough good things about it -from start to finish. We booked the date about one year ahead and from the very beginning to the last check out and follow up to pick up odds and ends everything went so smoothly. They wanted a place to make a weekend out of the wedding not just a day. We have alot of out of town family on both sides and wanted them to be able to enjoy and not have to travel via shuttle to the event venue then back to the hotel. The planning, was so smooth, the tastings, the questions back and forth, final meetings, rehersal and actual ceremony and wedding reception went off without a hitch. Our wedding was perfect! Julie Bilecky and her team did an excellent job. We were very pleased with the venue and the convenience of having our wedding at the Hyatt Regency because our out of town guests were able to stay at the location. The food, menu and cocktail hour choices were excellent. Their staff made sure that we were well accommodated on the day of the wedding. Also, the weather was perfect on our wedding day and we were able to have our ceremony in the Hyatt Garden and the reception in the ballroom which was perfect! For any brides, I recommend getting the Villa Suite for your bridal suite, especially if you will be staying the entire weekend! Melanie, the wedding coordinator was also very helpful and responded promptly to any questions we had prior to the wedding day.

The weekend of my wedding Villa Christina treated me like a queen. However the process I would never recommend a Bride to go through. Unless you are 100% hands-on and you notate everything the salesperson tell you...to the T...DO NOT have your wedding here. The sales person Julie was very generous but she sold us a dream that she did not communicate with their coordinator Melanie. Our emails and calls went unanswered repeatedly. My husband and I joked that they only responded when we submitted a payment but it was totally true. We paid our wedding off early and questioned nothing when it was time for us to pay. In other words, we did our part, But Villa Christina did not. Our initial meeting happened 3 months out when it should have happened 6 months out. The wedding team was not as attentive as we would've requested. Unless we went up there in person they never responded to us and they miss-calculated our invoices repeatedly. Through all the miss communication, unanswered emails, being overcharged and lied to; the worst part for me was on the day of my wedding during the reception hour, Melanie yelled at me because I was doing what I was \"sold\". I was told during the reception hour I could get my pictures by the fountain. This was one of the major reasons why I wanted the venue because it went with my theme. So now my pictures were rushed on top of everything that went wrong during the process and day of. I still had the perfect wedding thanks to my guests and personal wedding team, but I cannot thank Villa Christina for that. Please know that Villa Christina is a gorgeous venue who does not have the staff to properly accommodate a Bride and keep their promises. However, they will wine and dine you to influence you that they have. Please proceed with caution.

Villa Christina was an amazing wedding venue and hotel (Hyatt) for our 200 guest. We compared 7 venues before selecting Villa Christina. We agreed on a scoring system and individually scored each venue based on location, hotel accommodations, indoor/outdoor options for the ceremony & reception, ease of doing business, and the best overall value (not the cheapest). We discussed our individual scores, aggregated them and Villa Christina had the highest overall score.The criteria that we valued the most was the accommodations, accessibility, and overall cost for us and our guests. We highly considered the experience and cost of our out-of-town guest because both of our families are from other cities. Villa Christina scored high because it is accessible to public transportation, restaurants, shopping and freeways and, it provides free parking for our guest who stayed at the hotel and the day of our wedding. Villa Christina has a quality restaurant and bar onsite as well. Many of our local guest stayed at the Hyatt the night of the wedding. They loved being able to get ready at the hotel, go downstairs for the festivities, and then retire to their room afterwards. We met hotel guest for breakfast in the restaurant the morning after our wedding. The outdoor space for the ceremony, and being able to easily transition indoors for inclement weather, was important to us as well. Villa Christina has 2 beautiful outdoor spaces for wedding ceremonies. We chose a round outdoor space that looks and feels very private and intimate because of the lush gardens & trees. Also, it is strategically nestled next to the Hyatt, a beautiful backdrop with a contemporary rustic stone façade. The venue allows for all kinds of setups, customs and traditions. During our ceremony, there was light rain. We delayed part of the ceremony, a Nairobi tradition called the “taste of love”, and completed it indoors. This indoor space easily accommodated us and was used for some of our formal pictures, while the other guest transitions upstairs for the cocktail hour and reception. Although this indoor space was not part of our package, Villa Christina allowed us to us it at no additional cost. Also, the staff served us appetizers and drinks while we were taking formal photos. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The ease of doing business was important to us because we wanted to use vendors that we trusted; many venues make it mandatory to use their preferred list of vendors. The vendors were important to us because gay marriage had only been the law of the land for 6 months. We wanted to ensure that we were surrounded by vendors with good intentions and energy. Villa Christina allowed us to use our vendors, although they have a preferred list of vendors. Also, they offered packages to meet different price points and experiences, but allowed us to change our package for our unique taste. One of the major concessions Villa Christina made was switching out the bridal suite for 2 well-appointed groom’s suites. Many of the venues still offer the bridal suite as part of the rented venue space. Villa Christina totally exceeded all our expectations. I would highly recommend this venue to those who care about the details. Villa Christiana responded perfectly to every unexpected moment. This day will forever be special to us because of a perfect venue, a perfect staff, and a perfect experience.

I really regret having my wedding here. Venue was beautiful, service was horrible. My cocktail hour and drinks was a hot mess. Reception was poorly organized. They lied to our guests that we paid for less people. Even the wedding coordinator at the venue we planned our wedding with ditched us on our special day and left no proper instructions. I will never recommend this venue to anyone. Brides to be, please spend your money elsewhere.

Villa Christina was the perfect venue for our wedding! We wanted a venue that was beautiful, convenient, offered good food and a professional staff. We looked at a few different venues, but I fell in love with the gardens at Villa Christina. In addition to having beautiful gardens, they offered the convenience I desired. They are located directly off the Ashford Dunwoody exit, offer all-inclusive packages, and our guests received a discount rate to stay at the Hyatt Perimeter, which is attached to Villa Christina. I’m not a fan of their cakes (I’m a picky cake eater so we used Gabriel’s Desserts), but their other food is DELICIOUS!! The beef wellingtons, crab balls, salmon with mango salsa, and jerk chicken…amazing! Our guests gave many compliments on the food and staff. The staff the day of our wedding was attentive, courteous, and prompt. I couldn’t ask for anything more – no complaints! The banquet manager checked in with me and my husband multiple times to make certain we were satisfied. We were completely satisfied!\rIf you choose Villa Christina for your venue, I ONLY recommend using Carol Thurman with Ohccasions as your Coordinator. Carol has coordinated hundreds of weddings at Villa and knew their processes inside and out. Honestly, my high ratings are based on using Carol as a coordinator. She was attentive, responsive, and helped us communicate our wishes with Villa. I also recommend using her for your bouquets and decorations. Carol makes beautiful and creative bouquets and centerpieces. I wanted color and texture in my wedding, and I probably wasn’t the best at expressing my vision – but that didn’t matter! Somehow Carol was able to fulfill my vision and express my personality seamlessly. All is all - I highly recommend Villa Christina if you use Carol Thurman as your coordinator.\r

The food was delicious, the wedding cake was beautiful, Lauren was awesome through the whole planning process, and the grounds looked great! The only thing I can really point out that went wrong was they started packing up the open bar without a last call or a head's up that our time had ended. Lauren was my event manager she was very personable and gracious. I live in Bermuda so I was very impressed on how smooth the planning process developed. Anything I asked for she made happen and made great suggestions when I wasn't sure of something. My guests raved about the food. They loved the coconut shrimp! You can't go wrong with their wedding packages. I also had them make my cake a 5 tier round cake..HEAVENLY. Everyone is still talking about how lovely my wedding was at Villa Christina! Villa Christina is an amazing venue! From the time we began planning, to the execution of our wedding day, We experienced nothing less exceptional service from the entire staff. Our wedding day was nothing short of perfect. We had a Fall wedding. The ceremony was held in their outdoor garden amidst an oasis of waterfalls and a backdrop beautiful trees and flowers. The reception was in the ballroom in the upper level. Everyone raved about the venue, the food, the cocktails, friendly and professional service and the entire experience. We are both so fortunate that we chose to have our special day at Villa Christina. We had a modest wedding budget and it was worth every dime. I wouldn't change a thing. I would highly recommend this venue to couples looking to have their special day in the Atlanta, Metro area! This is what they specialize in and you won't be disappointed!

Villa Christina is a beautiful venue that had everything what we were looking for. We wanted to have a beautiful garden wedding with some water near by. They have a beautiful creek and waterfall. They worked with us to customize our dream wedding. \r\rEveryone was very nice and very professional. I always loved their food. The chef did a great job with our food. It tasted much better than the tasting which we all thought the food was great. \r\rThe wedding planner at Villa Christina was very friendly and we enjoyed every meeting with her. She was so professional and always gave us answers right away whenever we had some questions. \r\rThe only one thing we hoped it worked out better was that the previous party stayed at the areas that we needed to get ready for our ceremony and reception. Tey were supposed to move to upstairs at 5:30pm. There was no sign of them moving upstairs. We ran around to find staff at Villa Christina to have their help, but it wasn't really smooth. It was about 6:15pm that we finally got our brides room available.\r\rExcept for this, everything was perfect. We highly recommend them.

The Retreat, which is part of Villa Christina, was very unprofessional. The food was sub par, the presentation was undesirable, and please be careful about personal belongings. My wallet was stolen from the event venue. I would look other places for a wedding reception other than this place.

Coordinator was very helpful guiding me through till the wedding date. But their service on the wedding date itself was not so great. Only half of stuffs are set up as agreed time, and no tea light candles were provided on the table, etc.....it was just huge disappointment.\rAlthough their food was great, think twice for using their cake. taste might be ok, but execution is way below considering its price.

Villa Christina was amazing. The grounds and building are stunning. The staff always goes above and beyond to make everything perfect! The food was very good! Because of Villa Christina and their staff our event ran like a well oiled machine. The entire planning process was a lot of fun and very thorough, no detail was left out. I had a wonderful peace of mind going into my wedding day, I had nothing to worry about because I knew Villa Christina was going to take care of everything.

Planning an out of state wedding was a little scary in the beginning but once we chose Villa Christina as our wedding venue everything just fell into place. We were married at Villa Christina in July 2009. We chose this location because of the beautiful landscaping, garden gazebo, the reception ballroom, and the assignment of an event planner. The event planner only assists with the details of planning your special day so I highly recommend you hire a “Day of Coordinator” also. Once our date was set and booked our event planner was in full gear. Lauren was awesome and she was excellent in answering all of my questions and concerns via email or phone promptly. We were also assigned a manager for the ceremony and the reception that worked really well with my Day of Coordinator. \r\rThe price (under 15K) was reasonable for 100 guests for 6 hours. 6 hours consists of: 2 hours prep time, ceremony, 1 hr. hor d'oeuvre & open bar, ballroom reception, seated served dinner, and cake cutting service. It is almost a year since our wedding and our guests are still raving about what a beautiful elegant wedding we had, and how great the service was. I highly recommend that you consider Villa Christina as your wedding venue!

It has a lovely outdoor area where you can have your ceremony, a nice veranda where you can have cocktails, and a standard restaurant where you can have your reception. The food was decent but nothing special and according to the bride it was rather expensive (20k for 150 guests). The most memorable part of this wedding was the fact that the staff at villa christina did not know how to hook an ipod up to their outdoor AV system. The wedding was delayed for 30 minutes while the groom frantically searched for a converter needed to hook the ipod to their system. No such piece was ever found and the wedding music ended up being performed by a guest to the wedding. After the ceremony was over the staff finally found the needed converter.
