Katey Della-Giustina(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-03-2019 My husband and I started planning our wedding in July and found The Rooftop at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. We planned to see the venue and we were astounded at how beautiful it was! So many windows around the room that we ultimately fell in love with it that day and decided to have our wedding here. We worked with Shelley Belk, and wow is she amazing! She helped me out a lot as my husband and I are both busy Army medical students. She went above and beyond everything I could imagine and made everything so easy and stress free. She helped me pick out the menu, order the rentals, and run day of coordination -- she does it all, there was no need for a wedding planner! We had both our ceremony and reception at the Rooftop and the team flipped the room very quickly. The team who works with Shelley for our wedding is incredibly professional and nice. I could tell that they really wanted us to have a great wedding day. If I were to get married again I would choose the rooftop every single time! Reviewed on 11-03-2019
Nicole Drayton(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-09-2018 If you are considering booking this hotel for a formal event, reception, party or wedding, DON'T!!!! Thank me later. I did not know it then but I had the unfortunate experience of having the Bethesda Hyatt Regency as host to my weekend nuptials this past Friday. The service was subpar, the care and attention to paying customer abhorent and the over all quality of the staff and management extremely disappointing! Where do I begin?Overbooking - The Hotel double booked the complimentary bridal suite that I booked over a year ago...I was put into a subpar room and tried to compensate by decorating but it lacked the honeymoon vibe the presidential suite had. I was also promised the outside terrace would be completed construction by the time my wedding came around only to tell me about the overbooked suite and incomplete terrace the day of my tasting without warning. Also, I was assured and contracted that my husband would be place in the governors suite but was not. My husband and his groomsmen were forced to squeeze into a regular sized room to prepare when we had booked and expected a full suite. To make up for the mixup, overbooking, disappointment, my matron of honor and I were promised reduced rate and some compensation on food and beverages but when we checked out, we were fully charged for all food and drinks. I do not know why the workers here insist on making promises and assurances to patrons that they dishonor. Infuriating! The hotel overbooked our rooms so guests who had reserved rooms on the block were not honored the wedding rate. Also, they booked another event during my evening wedding without informing me. The way I discovered it was due to the unethical and sinister actions of the designated event organizer. After I scheduled for my event designer to come to the hotel to decorate in the morning to allot sufficient time for her to get the ceremony and reception room ready, Hyatt Regency put in a call behind my back and without my permission and told her to come at a much later time! Why? Because I later discovered, they booked another event in the same room the time I set up to decorate for my wedding! This was an utter disaster! My wedding guests had to scramble to help the event designer set up and barely got things set up in time! Horrific! Reviewed on 04-10-2018
Grace Friedberger(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-08-2017 I used the Hyatt Bethesda as a room block for my wedding guests and for a farewell brunch. I was able to easily reserve a well priced room block and the event manager for the brunch was very flexible and provided a great meal at great value to our guests. However, there were a number of minor issues that arose, which ended up as frustrations, but nothing more. Most notably, they neglected to mail out packages from Rent the Runway resulting in late fees for me and two others. They have since refunded the charges from the Rent the Runway, but it was a mistake that could have been easily avoided. Responsiveness to e-mails was slow and I need to follow up on multiple occasions to get a response. Reviewed on 12-09-2017

Angela Briggs(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-08-2011 Working with Limor and the Hyatt Regency Bethesda for my wedding was a dream come true. Limor was absolutely fabulous and she helped with every last detail making sure everything was perfect. She also made sure we stayed within budget while making everything so lovely and helping plan a delicious menu, bar, and perfect timeline. The only problem I had with the whole planning and event at the Hyatt was an hour before my rehearsal, Limor called to discuss possibly canceling my wedding due to Hurricane Irene. I know she was doing her job and I appreciate her giving me options (we could cancel up to a certain time without losing money) but that phone call should have been made to someone other than me such as my mother! It totally rocked my world for a couple of hours. On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly. Limor apologized for having to make that call and I understand it was her job but it was a hard idea to swallow just before the rehearsal!\r\rI would recommend Limor and the Hyatt Regency Bethesda to anyone in the area!! They were fabulous! Reviewed on 13-09-2011
