We hosted all of our wedding events at the Hyatt Regency and they all went smoothly, the guests had a phenomenal time, and were very impressed by the beauty of the venue and kindness of the staff. For a destination wedding, I could not ask for anything more. Also, the food is to die for. Our rehearsal dinner was in the back of springhouse cafe and the Hyatt decorated the space and provided custom menus. We held a welcome event with a bar, food station, and photobooth on site which was setup great. Our bridal ready room had everything we needed and the breakfast and lunch we had the Hyatt cater in was very good. The ceremony site (courtyard deck) was an absolute dream. The reception (fredericksburg) was perfect - the Hyatt made sure we had a stage for the band, a large dance floor, our banquet attendant made sure we ate and set aside the top cake layer for us. All of the setup aspects ran ahead of schedule. Our Hyatt coordinator even helped a flash dance happen and drove us in a golf cart to all the photo locations we wanted (and sent me the pictures). I forgot some things in the bridal room and they were promptly returned. There is a cool app where you can on the spot tell the venue things like turn up the air or change the lighting and they are very responsive. We felt that we were pampered and our day went so well! We will definitely be returning for anniversaries. If you are considering the Hyatt for your wedding, I highly recommend it. They have multiple venue locations to suite your needs and will make your day flawless. Reviewed on 25-05-2019
Rachel Saenz(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-12-2018 Overall, our wedding day turned out perfectly. The planning part was the difficult time. We started with Gretchen but she moved and we were assigned to another coordinator. I had a hard time with this coordinator responding to the point where I had to reach out to other contacts at the Hyatt. It caused a lot of stress and frustration. Due to getting married in the winter an alternate place for the ceremony was discussed. We did not find out until the month of the wedding that the alternative venue would be on the other side of another wedding's reception. My mother had to explain why this was not an acceptable choice to the coordinator. Along with all of this when we received our final numbers for payment it was wrong 3 times. All this said the actual wedding day was amazing. The wait staff during the reception was wonderful. The bartender was amazing. The individuals who did the lighting and sound were great. I do not think if I did not have a mother who was on it and a day-of coordinator that I hired outside of the hotel that the day would have run that smoothly. The venue is gorgeous but if you have your wedding here its important to review every document thoroughly. Reviewed on 10-01-2019
Melissa Webb(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-09-2018 My family and I have been coming to the Hill Country Hyatt ever since it opened, after having our wedding here I will NEVER come to this property again. To make a long story short, they have very bad communication skills, we were constantly passed around, we were lied to in our contract, and so much more. I spent most of my wedding weekend in tears and now only look at my photos with regret. Some highlights:- What was legally contracted as our rain back up plan was forgotten, so upon arrival I was told our reception would be in a ballroom they selected. When the contract was brought up I was told I was welcome to stay in the rain back up plan area but it has multiple leaks throughout the space...puddles would have been in the middle of the dance floor and on multiple guest tables.- The day after our wedding we asked for our top cake layer (my mom recalls point blank asking our Hyatt coordinator) but no one seemed to be able to answer that question....After the wedding I sent an email and was told it was thrown away because no one came to get it...(They will be baking us a new cake at least, but I would have rather had the one we asked for multiple times)- When we were sent our wedding bill we found thousands of extra dollars being charged. It took multiple new bills to finally get to the correct amount.- We requested our honeymoon suite be extended to the night before the wedding. I checked in after rehearsal dinner and moved all my stuff over. On wedding morning my fiancé wasn't able to grab the honeymoon suite key from me so went to the front desk for assistance. They gave him a key to what he thought was our suite but was in fact a totally different room. We only realized this after the wedding and had to transfer all of stuff in full wedding attire. We told the front desk about THEIR mix up and returned the second suite key. And of course days later we got CHARGED for both suites. (Luckily this error was fixed with a long customer service call).**There is one positive from the Hill Country Hyatt, the bar staff was very nice and our appetizers were delicious. So if you pick the Hyatt you can at least drink down your tears and have something nice to eat. Reviewed on 13-11-2018
Ambreen Hussain(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-05-2018 I only have great things to say about Hyatt - the space is dreamlike, and I love the Hill Country feel, as well as the family history it holds. The Texas BBQ plates at my wedding were incredibly delicious, and most importantly, the service was impeccable! My wedding was held in the RW Pavilion tent. The space was amazing - an A/C tent with the feel of an outdoor, intimate space. We were able to take pictures amongst the backdrop of the golf course and some of the fields, as well as the patio, and some of the pictures I've already seen make the space feel breathtaking. So many of my guests post wedding weekend reached out to me to let me know the food and the ambiance was incredible - some of the best backdrops they've been a part of, and some of the most delicious meals they had ever eaten at a wedding. Also, my cake was a four-tier regal affair. Vanilla with buttercream frosting, filled with creme brûlée and fresh berries. An absolute delight. As a New Yorker planning her own wedding remote via phone and email, Gretchen and Jenny, the wedding coordinators, were incredibly cordial and did everything they could to make my wedding day feel like an absolute fairy tale. I love this resort and I can not say enough good things about it for the above reasons and more. Reviewed on 19-05-2018

The staff there was amazing. They were so accommodating to all of our needs. They went above and beyond in every aspect. Gretchen the wedding coordinator there is friendly and does her job well. She was knowledgeable and was always reachable for whatever was needed. I can't recommend the Hyatt enough. I almost forgot to mention how DELICIOUS the food is. My husband is a chef and it is no easy task to please him when it comes to food, yet the Hyatt did so Reviewed on 15-06-2016
Lizz Brown(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-10-2015 I can not say enough good things about the service at the Hyatt Hill Country! We had our wedding at Lone Oak, a grove of oak trees near the entrance to the golf course and it was BEAUTIFUL! Our coordinator Gretchen was fantastic and did an amazing job helping me coordinate all my vendors. I planned my wedding long distance and she was always available with great ideas and was extremely flexible in meeting with me during my short visits to San Antonio leading up to the wedding. The wedding packages they offer is OUTSTANDING! Our ceremony site, reception site, dinner, bar, wedding cake, tables/ linens, and a honeymoon suite were included in the package at an incredible price. The meal at the reception was phenomenal and the staff went out of their way to make sure that every guest was attended to (we had a few picky eaters and even they were blown away by the meal). I couldn't imagine a more magical night and it would not have been possible without Gretchen and the exemplary staff at the Hyatt! I HIGHLY suggest that everyone check them out, they are the best. Nicole Garza(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-04-2015 \rFirst of all, the Hyatt is an absolutely stunning place to get married. There are various venues to choose from and it's great for gathering family and friends for a weekend of fun. Unfortunately, my experience was less than I hoped for.\r\rAfter a picture perfect ceremony and cocktail hour, things started to go down-hill at the reception. I can say they did a great job setting up our party and the food was awesome. The BUT comes with the bar service. The staff was insanely rude and condescending after claiming too many of our guests were too intoxicated. They cut off our bar at 10 p.m. when our wedding wasn't scheduled to end until 11. Now from my definitely not intoxicated view, it was a ridiculous judgement call. First off, it's a wedding! No one was doing anything out-of the ordinary. 90% of our guests were staying at the hotel. They claimed safety and liability was the issue, But THEY actually caused the safety troubles when they shut down the bar...causing the majority of our wedding guests to leave early! Those guests proceeded to \"Charlie's Long Bar\" inside the hotel where the reception bartender told those bartenders NOT to serve anyone that had been at the wedding. Many of our guests then chose to DRIVE to a bar to continue the celebration. This is exactly what we were trying to avoid by ensuring they all booked $200-$400 rooms/night. Side note, one of wedding stipulations was that the hotel bar stay open till 1 a.m. for our guests.\r\rI will say the hotel staff (other than the bartenders at the reception and bar) was extremely friendly, understanding and apologetic. It was just an unexpected, and truthfully, embarrassing experience. The management has tried their best to apologize and make it up to us...which we appreciate. It's just kind of sad because there's no way we can really go back and gain that one hour of time we could've had at our special day with all of our guests.\r Reviewed on 13-04-2015
Laura Onekeo(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-11-2014 Kristin and her team at the Hyatt did a FABULOUS job with everything. We came to them four months prior because La Cantera had put us in a bind by being closed, and they executed everything flawlessly and made us feel like we were top priority!!! Not only did they give us a great deal on rooms for all our many out of town guests, they really made our day feel like it was a huge deal to them! They blocked off our lawn during the ceremony and before, and the Fredericksburg ballroom that we used was beautiful and perfect!! Everyone loved the food, the venues, and how nice everyone was there. Everything truly happens for a reason, Hyatt made our wedding day absolutely amazing!!! Reviewed on 28-11-2014
Annie Chandler(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-04-2013 If you're considering having your wedding here...DO IT! I married my man under the Hill Country Hyatt's colossal oak tree on the back lawn. I had a wedding planner, but really did not need one because the Hyatt's wedding coordinator (Nicole Garza) was so competent and organized. The Hill Country Ballroom was a perfect reception venue. I highly recommend taking advantage of the lighting company the Hyatt partners with. The effects the lighting had on the ballroom were incredible! Our guests loved that they could stay in one place for all festivities and party around the giant pool/lazy river prior to the main event. Cannot give the Hyatt enough kudos for setting the scene for a dream wedding. Reviewed on 08-07-2014
