Jennifer Heilbrun(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-08-2019 Our wedding was on August 3rd, 2019. We only had our reception at the Hyatt in the Beacon ballroom with 110 guests.Robin was amazing to work with. She helped us through the entire planning process and worked with us to stay on budget. She also coordinated with all of our vendors and was there that night to make sure everything ran smoothly. We were originally anticipating 150 guests, so when we only ended up with 110, Robin helped us find ways to reach the venue minimum so we didn't waste any money. The food was delicious, and the Beacon ballroom is absolutely beautiful. It has a wall of glass windows with views of Long Beach Harbor, which is so much nicer than other fully enclosed ballrooms. There are a couple of other ballrooms on the property, but we got lucky that none of the others were being used on our wedding night so we had the whole place to ourselves. I wouldn't recommend this venue for small weddings because you would have to spend too much per guest to make it worth your while, but for a 100+ wedding it's one of the more affordable and elegant options we considered. Parag S(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-04-2019 We had our wedding at the Hyatt Long Beach in April of 2018. We worked with Siobhan who extremely helpful and professional. She not only provided us valuable guidance when making multiple decisions about arrangements, timing, etc. but also quickly responded back to us for all of the numerous changes we asked her to make. Everything ran very smoothly at the hotel during the events, and we really enjoyed all of the hotel ballrooms and facilities (e.g. Regency Ballroom, Lagoon, etc.). Would definitely recommend others to have their wedding at the Hyatt Long Beach. Reviewed on 18-05-2019
Jakeisha Gibson(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-07-2019 I was bummed right away! I came here for a tour with Robin. Robin greeted me and then took me to the Sea Room (I forgot the name, but it faces the pool). During our walk over she kept saying I'm probably like the Hyatt Centric because it's better for smaller parties. After our 30 seconds in the ballroom, I asked her about a ceremony site. She said she didn't know I wanted a ceremony because the Knot gives no information. In my head I'm thinking every other place I plan to visit has called me or asked me to fill out some sort of survey.Robin walked me to a spot that we could see the site through the window.Basically, this chick was not helpful at all. I did not receive a packet or an estimated budget. There was no offer of water. Robin was not trying to provide this venue to me. It seems that she had already decided I was a better fit at the Hyatt Centric. At the very end, she even suggested another property, Hotel Maya. I was in and out in 10 minutes tops! This place won't get a penny of my money. Reviewed on 27-07-2018
Janice McComb(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-09-2015 Amazing. Just amazing. From start to finish I had only good experiences with the Hyatt. The event staff, especially my coordinators (Emily originally) and Adrienne made wedding planning stress free. The food was amazing, the ballroom, rotunda, and lagoon were all the perfect and I could not have imagined a better location for our wedding. The entire hotel staff was beyond wonderful and treated everyone attending our wedding as though they were the most important people at the hotel. Well done, Hyatt Regency. Reviewed on 16-09-2015
Stacie Eldridge(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-07-2014 The service personnel were great!! That is the only good thing I have to say about this hotel. I arranged for my parents to stay here for my wedding weekend, which was at another location across the street. The room was really small, there was no microwave in the room and they wanted $50.00/night for rental of a refrigerator on top of the $240.00/night to stay there! In addition, they were completely under construction and my parents (who do not get around very well) had to walk a mile to their room. I was not notified of any of this during the time of booking or I would have booked elsewhere. Also, there was\rno shuttle available like other nearby hotels. The stay was no better than if I would have booked at motel 6, except my parents would not have had to walk as far to the room. You are only paying for the name, keep your expectations very low. Anita Nageswaran(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-10-2011 Overall everything was wonderful. The only glitch we ran into was that we were informed 3 weeks prior to our wedding that there would be a large scale charity event that interfered with a portion of our wedding. The hyatt crew worked hard to make sure that both events didn't conflict, and our guests likely didn't even notice. We had an amazing day! Reviewed on 13-11-2011
Marinelle Tan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-08-2011 The food and service were amazing. The regency ballroom was newly carpeted and the chandeliers are beautiful. The views of the harbor are beautiful, but there is no view of the harbor from the room itself. Be prepared to share the venue with a couple of other weddings the same day and time as yours. Our headcount was about 170. Reviewed on 24-10-2011

Katrina Mandich(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-06-2011 Overall, our wedding night was amazing. The process getting there was a little tricky. My fiance and I were passed through three different event managers before we met our last one, two weeks away from the wedding. All of our request were handled, due to a little extra push our end. Ivy LIt(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-10-2010 We had our ceremony and reception at the LB Hyatt. The Beacon ballroom, unlike most ballrooms, has windows on one side with an awesome view of Queen Mary and Shoreline Village. Martha Block, the catering manager and her team are professional and pleasant to work with. The food was tasty and has nice presentation. It is definitely worth the price that we paid.
