Nikki Mei(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-12-2022 My husband and I were so glad we decided to go with the Hyatt Regency Maui for our wedding venue. We worked with Kiana Jepsen and Yesenia Esquivel who were truly the dream team! They were highly organized and provided quick turn around times. We didn't have to worry about a thing the day of the wedding since Kiana and Yesenia handled everything. So a big shout-out to these two women!I also want to highlight just how fantastic the food was. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food and the cake (so, so moist)! Everybody was happily stuffed :) I even asked for take-out boxes after because I didn't want to waste a single bite! If we had to do it all over again, we would still choose the Hyatt Regency Maui. Whenever I had any questions in the months leading up to the wedding she was fast to respond. We got married in the Oriental Gardens with a small gathering of 12 guests and the venue was like something out of a fairy tale. Staff were running around in the background making sure everything was running smoothly during the whole duration of the event. Teresa Kim(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-09-2022 Hyatt Regency Maui as a wedding venue is beautiful for sure, but their events planning office isn't that organized or proactive so I recommend hiring a professional planner to get you through all the steps leading up to the day and on your big day, if you don't want to stress out or experience hurdles, miscommunication and other challenges that end up casting a shadow over your dream wedding. For most of us brides, this is the only chance we get, it's not like we get a re-do, and weddings here are not cheap. Brides and Grooms: Your special day should be extra special. Make sure you have someone advocating for you throughout the planning process if you're planning a wedding here because they won't be that advocate. Not from my personal experience. Courtney R(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-06-2019 Our wedding planner, Amy, with Hyatt Regency Maui was so great; going above and beyond meeting every expectation and need. My husband and I live in CA and planned our destination wedding at this resort. All we did was share our vision and the coordination team rolled up their sleeves and went to work with reaching out to vendors and planning. Our initial planner was Maxyne, who was such a gem in setting everything up for us. When Amy came on board, she executed the vision beautifully. When we arrived on the island, our appointment for our license signing was scheduled for us, we had our wedding rehearsal, and went over final details. Our ceremony took place on a beautifully, sunny, breezy day on the beach. My husband and I laugh about how carefree, easy, and smooth the day was for us. We are so grateful and would recommend everyone have their wedding be this way. But we recognize the day wouldn't have been as magical without the hard-work those ladies put in. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We look forward to coming back and visiting <3 Reviewed on 12-08-2019

We chose the lawn for our event with just me, my husband, our photographers, the guitarist, and officiant. They had an on-site waiter who made sure we had bubbly and water thought the photo reception. Maxyne had employees that roped off areas just for us, so I could walk to my husband like a wedding. The day before the wedding we met with Maxyne and her team to go over and review everything. I can't say enough positive things about Maxyne, she was super helpful from the year out we started planning our wedding to the day of...no details were overlooked! Sure, the hotel and grounds were beautiful and we loved getting married right on the ocean but Maxyne and her team were the difference makers. I can't tell you how much not having to worry about one detail during your day truly means, Maxyne was all over it from coordinating who needed to be where to making sure our day was private and exactly what we wanted. Narcissus Santos(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-08-2018 +1 star: The Halona Kai lawn has an amazingly beautiful ocean view! I had my ceremony at this location and Hyatt did not disappoint. My husband and I are not the tallest people so I requested a little something to stand on so everyone can see. A raised platform was provided and was big enough for the archway, officiant, us, and even quite a few guests for the post ceremony pictures. It made the moment really special since all guests could see what was going on, and we could see everyone's faces. A drawback is that my guests were in the full sun for a good 30 minutes in 80 degree+ weather. I would have opted for some linen tents but I decided to spend that money on the open bar. +1 star: The food was amazing!! We had the beef filet and the hawaiian ono served to our guests. I would highly recommend choosing those. Even better was that we got a dessert trio made with local fruits, as opposed to getting just 1 served for all. -2 stars: The coordinator was lacking. Our large wedding party consisted of loud aunties/uncles/parents and 7 slightly buzzed groomsmen/bridesmaids, so I get it's hard to get everyone on the same page during rehearsal. But I REALLY needed her to guide us, be more assertive, and to get everyone focused. One the day of, no one really knew where to go after walking up to the altar, no one really knew where their reception seats were, I wanted my immediate family to sit in the two front rows but most sat in the back. Just to name a few. Definitely an area needing improvements. Reviewed on 26-10-2018

Maxyne was on top of all the things we discussed, making our experience completely stress-free. All the service at the reception was simply outstanding. Our wedding planner would respond to my emails and calls by the next day. We would have phone conferences regarding planning our big day. When the day came I had no worries about how the wedding day would unfold. Our wedding planning staff picked up our flowers, got my wedding dress and husbands grooms clothes from laundry (needed to be steamed after a day of flying). They do so much for us to ensure that our day was absolutely perfect for us. I would plan a wedding with them all over again in a heart beat. Sarah at the hyatt made it the easiest, best experience I could have ever imagined! She was amazing from start to finish. She was able to help us store some decorations, get them arranged to be down at the ceremony without any worries. She took us around the property to show us where everything would be taking place. The whole hotel staff took care of us from sending us welcome baskets, to greeting us as the bride and groom whenever we had to go to the front desk. We rented the \"Getting Ready Room\" for all the girls to get ready in and that was perfect. It was a HUGE space, which made 8 girls getting hair/make up down very easy! The price seemed a little extravagant for a party of thirty, but on the day of the wedding, the cost did not compare to the beauty of the venue. It was breathtaking and worth every penny! The weather was questionable all week during our stay at the resort, but Sarah was reassuring and had a backup plan for everything. She took the worry from my week and keep me calm. As Mother of the Bride, I just wanted my daughters dream of a beach wedding to be perfect. Our wedding day couldn't have been more amazing and it exceeded all our expectations in all aspects. Because we had a smaller group and we were on a strict budget, having the ceremony in this smaller but beautiful outdoor space was just perfect. The price was right and the scenery was beyond comparison! Since we had a small group of about 20 people, in lieu of a traditional wedding reception, we reserved a group spot at the hotel's famous Drums of the Pacific Luau. This was an amazing idea! It was much more affordable and we didn't have to worry about coordinating anything food and drink wise. Plus, treating our guests to the luau gave us the opportunity to have them all experience Hawaii and it's entertainment as well. The luau was even more special when the host mentioned that they had a newly wed couple in the audience. Then they played a short song and invited my new husband and I as well as anyone that was there for their anniversaries to have a dance. So basically, we got our \"first dance\" that we did not expect to have! It was definitely what one would call a PERFECT DAY! The planning process was amazing as well. It was so nice to sit back and let go some of the control for the wedding planning process. Jacquelyn Stewart was our coordinator and words cannot express how amazing she was to work with. She was available via email and phone which made the back and forth questions and planning so much easier. Not to mention that most of the time, she always answered \"YES\" or \"we can do that\" to about most of all my questions or requests.
