All inquiries and questions were answered promptly. Every detail small or large was perfected by them. The food was delicious!!! They knock the cookie table out the park.. I had very high expectations and the exceeded them more than I could ever imagine. Reviewed on 27-01-2022
Rachel Harper(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-02-2019 The Hyatt and Allison were absolutely amazing. Allison made the entire planning process as streamlined and easy as wedding planning could be. The weekend of, Allison and her team truly took care of and handled everything. Our theme was “til death do us part”. I gave Allison my vision and she executed it flawlessly. I provided her with my vendor contact list and she took care of any day of issues that may have occurred. Our guests keep commenting on the cocktail hour and food being the best that they’ve had. The food really was top notch. It was great having 4 beer options instead of picking 2. All of the waitstaff were super friendly and accommodating. We ended our night with a taco bar, which was also amazing. We utilized Paul, who was with Encore, and on site, for uplighting and draping. The hotel is already beautiful, but he and Allison were able to really transform it into exactly what we wanted. My only regret is not adding on an additional hour to the reception because of how much fun we were having. Allison and her team went above and beyond to make our wedding truly the best day ever. Plus we were able to incorporate our dog into our ceremony.LOVED our wedding! I would highly recommend them. samantha weaver(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-05-2015 The Hyatt was wonderful. The food was great, service was AMAZING, and they met all of my requests. Shawniece is great and I highly recommend the Hyatt. The only thing I would recommend is if you are staying in the Bridal suite on Friday and are planning on having people to your room after the rehearsal dinner, you will get noise complaints. I would request that your bridal party and any guests staying Friday be put in rooms near you, so that this doesn't happen. The ceremony, reception, and cocktail hours were all amazing, and people said that it was the best wedding they have ever been at. Reviewed on 10-05-2015
Pamela Bender(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-09-2014 If you plan to have your wedding here, make sure you have your own wedding planner to take care of all the issues. We spent a lot of time the weekend of my wedding dealing with the hotel staff because of all the issues we had. Throughout the planning process the wedding coordinator ALWAYS had incorrect information on the paperwork. It would take several emails and phone calls to get it correct. The first issue we ran into the weekend of the wedding was that they didn't set up the correct number of chairs for the reception. I was the one who caught the mistake when checking on the room Friday morning. We had even sent them a document stating how many chairs to put at each table and they couldn't get it right. My chair cover company even questioned the number of chairs, but the hotel insisted they had the correct amount. In addition, they had put out 2 highchairs at the head table and we had NEVER mentioned highchairs in any of our conversations leading up to the wedding. \r \rMake sure you reserve the one tall coat rack at the hotel if you plan to get ready there. If someone else is using it, you are out of luck because there isn't another place to hang your wedding dress in your hotel room.\r\rThe next issue with the hotel was that they broke the chuppah my husband and I built together. When I was informed it was broken, the event staff wasn't doing anything to get it fixed. My mother and I had to direct the staff and instruct them on what to do to get it ready for the ceremony, which was only a few hours away. Once we had informed them what to do, the workers did get it fixed and it was ready for the ceremony.\r\rWe encountered more issues in the reception. The orchid centerpieces, which were part of the wedding package at the Hyatt, were the wrong color. When I mentioned this to the wedding coordinator she insisted that I had ordered the wrong color. I have emails and pictures that prove that the wrong color was provided. The worst part was that she didn't even apologize. In addition, the entree that was served at the reception was different than what we had picked at the tasting.\r\rWe picked the Hyatt because of the modern look of the hotel and ballroom. If you are looking for a modern hotel the Hyatt is right for you, but be prepared for poor service. My family and bridal party spent way too much time dealing with issues when we should have been celebrating.\r Reviewed on 30-10-2014
Melissa Bailey(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-12-2013 The theme of my wedding was \"Historical Elegance\" and to find a venue that fit that and our budget was proving to be impossible. My mother joined in the search and added hotels to the potentials list- despite the fact that I knew I did not want a \"hotel reception\". So somewhat reluctantly, I went to the initial meeting with Lauren at the Hyatt. \r\rAfter she gave me a complimentary custom Starbucks latte, we sat down in one of the prettiest lobbies I've ever seen in Pittsburgh. Instantly I knew that Lauren was very different from every other catering manager I'd talked to, to date. She knows her stuff! My husband and I have large families but we also had a strict budget (who doesn't!) Lauren was upfront and honest about price and more importantly wiggle room. I could go down to every little detail of the reception and how awesome the hyatt was but I don't want to bore you. Instead I'll just list:\r\rEvery staff member at the Hyatt from front desk to servers at the wedding were kind and very professional\r\rAwesome bathrooms! \r\rWe received so many compliments that we had the best Cookie Table display ever! all thanks to the Hyatt!\r\rI was allowed to have open flame incorporated into our centerpieces- which was very important me\r\rFinally, the complimentary honeymoon sweet was larger than most apartments I've seen and the gift of champagne and strawberries made a perfect snack after such and amazing night! \r\rWhen you book a hotel you don't have to pay for the venue and the food separately, the venue is included and trust me the convenience is worth it! Not to mention the money you save! \r\rAlso the parking was free!! we looked at several Downtown hotels and they always seemed to \"forget\" to tell us that there was a $10+ charge per guest! I don't know about you, but if I invite someone to my wedding I would be embarrassed to ask them to pay for parking and with a guest list of 200 thats another $2,000+ that has to come from some where! Just something to think about. \r\rRanting aside, after it was all said and done I was one VERY happy bride! Reviewed on 05-02-2014

I sent emails asking questions constantly and always got a quick response! We had our food served to our guests along with two bars. Food came out fast and there was never a long line at the bar. Lauren Deep(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-12-2012 I just recently had my wedding on 12/29/12 at the Hyatt. The wedding coordinator, Lauren Soriano, was amazing. She really stepped up from day one. She treated my parents, husband and I like we were the only ones to have a wedding at their facility. She kept track of all our notes from each meeting and coordinated with all of my other vendors to help make my dream wedding come true. The food is absolutely amazing. Everyone that came to our wedding raved about the food and drink. The ballroom fit all 310 of my guest very nicely. There was plenty of room to entertain and dance. I can't say enough and if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Beautiful presidential suite for my bridal party and for our wedding evening. They can answer any question you need and exceed all of your expectations and more. Best Hotel for a wedding. Great rates - the block was for $99 per night and they worked with us to make sure everyone was able to get a room. I loved this venue. Reviewed on 05-02-2013
