We booked a block of rooms and two suites for our wedding guests at our downtown wedding last weekend. Rachel and her team at the Hyatt are wonderful to work with. We thought it would be a nice treat for our out-of-town guests to stay in the heart of the city. Everyone loved the location, as it was walkable to almost any of the downtown attractions. The hotel is beautifully decorated and had friendly staff. We booked an executive suite, which the bridal party used for hair and makeup in the morning before the wedding. When we returned after the reception, we had cookies and ice cream and champagne waiting for us in our room! We reserved the 18th floor gateway east and west ballrooms as well as the terrace. We hosted a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing for our guests. From the very beginning of the planning process until the day of our wedding I had the best experience! We booked the reception venue about a year before our wedding. We worked with Jessica Schuette during the entire planning process and she was a pleasure to work with. There were times when Jessica would be out of town in which case I would get connected to her assistant Regan and Regan was just as lovely to work with. I think it takes a very specific person to be able to do this job and they (Jessica and Regan) were incredible. I must have had a thousand questions during the process and each time Jessica always answered within a reasonable amount of time. I know it can't be easy juggling all the responsibilities of wedding planning, but she made it seem easy and effortless. I can't thank Jessica enough for all of her help! I am going to miss planning with her. The catering staff did a great job and people are still talking about the food. People don't normally remember food items at weddings, but this is not the case with our food items. Not to mention the cake; the cake was amazing. We asked Julie, the pastry chef to bake our cakes (wedding cake and grooms cake) and they both tasted amazing! I also had a macaroon table and Julie was responsible for the delicious macaroons as well! I highly recommend you ask Julie to bake your cake, cupcakes, macaroons, etc. She will not disappoint. The flavors are amazing and she decorated our wedding cake exactly as I had asked. It looked amazing. Customer service was amazing all around; Keith was our captain during our stay and was always there with a smile. He made sure our items got to and from our rooms and made sure we had everything we needed. We felt like royalty during our entire stay. Hyatt regency added so many special touches to our whole experience with them. It was the ONLY venue we looked at because we loved it since day one. AMAZING SERVICE!!! Reviewed on 22-10-2015
Amey Hogg(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-04-2015 The Hyatt Regency St. Louis not only offers amazing space that overlooks the Arch, the service that you receive is top-notch. From their VIP Manager to a dedicated Wedding Planner to a Wedding Butler for the Event, the special touches are not extra....they are something that the Hotel strives to provide. The special details really set this venue apart from others that we looked at during our planning process and also experienced at other wedding receptions that we have attended. We stayed from July 10-12, 2015 and recieved some of the best guest service we've ever experienced and we have past careers in hospitality. Huge recognition goes to Keith Key, our VIP manager for the wedding weekend. He made our stay at the Hyatt one we will never forget. They upgraded my husband to a bigger room and my suite got food one night and then flipped to our honeymooon suite the night of the wedding with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Shauna Hamby(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-05-2015 My husband and I booked the Hyatt at the Arch for our reception after literally spending days visiting spaces all around St. Louis and not feeling that any of the other places were \"the one\". After seeing the terrace on the 18th floor with the view of the Arch and the light up dance floor, we knew it was \"the one\". I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with the Hyatt during the 1.5 years from the time we booked it to the actual wedding day. On the actual wedding day, they went above and beyond to make our day everything I had dreamed, hoped, cried, and stressed that it would be --- even my vendors commented on how fabulous the staff was. I have to say that Jene Hofer, Courtney Oliver, Kat, David, Keith & \"Chef\" not only made the dream & vision that I had come to life, but every single one of my guests and my family members commented how it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding, the best service they have ever had at a wedding, and the funnest wedding they have ever been to. \r\rWe certainly had the best venue and the best team ever! Molly Clinard(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-10-2014 Everything at the Hyatt at the Arch was amazing, and I mean everything. Practically every one of our guests (most of which came from out of town and spent the entire weekend at the Hyatt) praised the service without solicitation from me or my bride. The view at the reception was phenomenal. A cousin said to me, \"This place is too nice for us,\" but the price was very reasonable for the amenities. I would absolutely recommend this venue to friends and family. Reviewed on 31-10-2014
Samantha Bernhoester(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-09-2014 We recently had our wedding reception at the Hyatt Regency downtown. My husband and I chose the ballroom that is located on the roof top overlooking the arch and riverfront. Choosing this as our venue was hands down the best decision we made through our wedding process. The rooftop has a light up dance floor and amazing view! Our guest were in complete awe the whole night. I stayed the night before and from the minute I arrived they brought out the VIP rep who treated us like we royalty till the moment we left. We worked with Rachel McCarty and she helped plan, budget and make the whole process so easy and calm. She was absolutely wonderful and set up everything better then we could of ever imagined. The whole night all we kept hearing from our guest was \"best wedding ever!!\" It was truly a night I will never forget and would HIGHLY recommend anyone to use the Hyatt as their wedding venue. Everyone from the front desk, room service, and servers at the reception were so professional. I never felt more special in my life! Rachel the coordinator really knows her stuff and helped us with so much through the whole process. She's so sweet and AMAZING at what she does! Reviewed on 23-10-2014
Natalie Pelsor(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-05-2014 Our wedding day was beautiful and my husband and I can only thank ourselves. We decided to go with the Hyatt Rooftop Terrace Ballroom for our wedding reception. The view was breath-taking and very unique. The St. Louis Arch was visible through the open roof terrace. That is all I can say nice about this venue. It is over priced, and caused a lot of headache during the wedding planning process as well as the big day. During the process we had 3 different coordinators and never notified of a change. The final coordinator was brought on a mere two weeks before our wedding. I felt bad this woman being thrown into something that had been a year and a half in the planning. So I printed a detailed description of all the elements I required of them with a drawn out schematic. Joy assured me everything would be flawless...WRONG. They didn't even get our food right, set up escort cards incorrectly, put flowers on tables wrong, didn't follow my itinerary among losing a friends luggage and trying to charge our guests for valet parking. For the cost of this reception, I expected perfect service and accommodation. We did not get it. We paid a lot of money for a nice view. If you are looking for a unique venue and do not care about small details falling through the cracks....this is your place. If you want a stress free day....I do not recommend this venue. You would have never have known it with the top rated performance the entire staff had given us. Also Jacqueline was assigned to us after Whitney had left for the evening. She was wonderful. She would check in with us to see how the night was going and if we needed anything. She could not have been more helpful. \r\rNot only was the catering staff wonderful but so was the entire team at the Hyatt from check in to check out. They were all amazed. Being from St Louis they could not speak more highly about the hotel, staff and venue. \r\rWe had our rehearsal dinner and our Sunday brunch at the Red Restaurant in the lobby and the entire weekend could not have been more perfect. Carrie Scott-Smith(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-08-2013 With both families coming from all over the country, we felt that meeting in the middle would be the best option. PLUS, we actually met in the great city of St. Louis (5) years ago so we wanted to share our special city with all of our loved ones. We chose the Hyatt for several reasons and could not be happier with this decision. The hotel is convenient to the airport (everyone took the train in), it has the BEST location downtown (literally right under the famous Arch), the product was absolutely beautiful inside, and the service we received from start to finish exceeded our expectations. We chose to host our ceremony and reception on their top floor that had a beautiful terrace looking right at the Arch - it was ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! Everyone was so blown away with this gem that we found and could not stop raving about this amazing space. The food was outstanding as well – everyone could not stop commenting on how this was the best entre they’ve ever had at a wedding. \r\rI was so impressed with how seamless the entire process was and it was because of my outstanding Catering Manager (Whitney) and her team. They were on top of everything and always one step ahead of me! They worked very closely with my vendors and I did not have to worry about anything. They set everything up in the ceremony/reception area together even better than I could have ever imagined. \r\rThe staff while onsite (we stayed for over a week because most people made a vacation out of it) provided the best service I’ve ever encountered before. \rI am so happy I chose the Hyatt Regency St. Louis and I will be forever grateful for them on hosting the most important and best night of our entire lives!
