I photograph weddings throughout Illinois (Ernst Jacobsen Photography) and have photographed several weddings the Ihotel. The venue itself is beautiful whether it's the rooms for getting ready, the lobby for indoor bride/bridesmaid and/or groom/groomsmen photos plus the ballroom itself is gorgeous, especially with colored uplighting. The IHotel is also located close to Japan House and the connected University of Illinois Arboretum -- both make for gorgeous outdoor photos either before or after the ceremony. One of my favorite Champaign-Urbana venues. Highly recommend!!!

We couldn't be happier with I Hotel! The sales, events, and catering staff were all phenomenal to work with, and went above and beyond to make our wedding absolutely perfect. They were very responsive to all of our questions and made sure to have every detail before the big day so there were no surprises. Our overnight accommodations in the hotel were top notch, and the staff helped us load out all of our decorations the next morning!

They were nothing but AMAZING!!! I mainly worked with Meredith with floor plans!! She always answered my questions, and worked with me when I wanted to change something! Day of the wedding, the staff was amazing!! My guest loved the location and how I had ceremony and reception in one building! It was a beautiful wedding!!!

I don’t even know where to begin with this rating. The iHotel and Conference Center did a fantastic job. From the start of wedding planning to the end, everyone was amazing. They really take the time to plan with you and make your day so special. From catering, planners, hotel staff and anyone who was involved made the day so easy and everyone is extremely nice! The staff basically treats everyone like royalty and if you need anything, they will make sure they accomplish what needs to be done so you don’t have to worry about a thing. I highly recommend them for any event as you will not be disappointed.

The I Hotel & Conference Center is AMAZING! The venue spaces and hotel are modern and well kept. The sales staff with the hotel are very easy to work with and extremely responsive to questions and needs. I have never had bad food when attending anything at the I Hotel and Conference Center, and University Catering did not disappoint this time either. The food was amazing, and Jeremy, with UI Catering, was wonderful to work with. He was so helpful and answered every question I had along the way. They are also accommodating of special dietary needs that guests may have. Meredith, the Event Coordinator for the I Hotel, is awesome. She worked with me to iron out every detail from room set-up and décor to tear down. She was respectful of what I had in mind for my reception and made it her top priority for it to be nothing less than perfect. She is very easy to work with and timely in her responses to questions and needs. Overall, the event staff the day of was top notch and exceeded all expectations! They checked in the morning of, confirmed any questions they had, and made themselves available if I needed anything at all throughout the day. Another bonus, is they will take all cards and gifts up to your room at the end of the night as well as do all tear down of the venue space. They truly made my day stress free not having to worry about things being right or being forgotten. I am confident in saying that the I Hotel and Conference Center staff make service a top priority and want nothing more than for any couple’s day to be perfect! I cannot thank them all enough for the wonderful job they did in making our special day one to remember!

We had our wedding at the iHotel and Conference Center on 9/15/18! It was beautiful! The lights in the ballroom at what really sold me on the space! U of I Catering is their food vendor for the evening and the food was DELICIOUS! Drinks (alcoholic/non-alcoholic) are more expensive than they need to be, in my opinion! But we loved everything about our wedding day! The staff flipped our ceremony space into our reception space within just 2 hours and it completely transformed the room! We, along with a lot of our guests, stayed in the hotel and we were treated with the utmost respect and manners. I highly recommend iHotel for your wedding :)

We could not have picked a more PERFECT venue!The staff at the I Hotel were an absolute dream to work with, they were all extremely knowledgeable and accommodating during the planning process and when it came to our wedding day, they made the day completely worry free. The reception was beautiful, and our guest still talk about the amazing food and the wonderful wait-staff. Also, a big thank you to our main contacts - Jeremy from University Catering and our wedding coordinator Susan. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect.What really sold us on this venue was the conveniece of having the hotel and reception all in the same place. We enjoyed being able to visit with our guests the next morning during brunch at Houlihan's. We highly recommend the I Hotel, they will be the best (and easiest) part of your whole wedding planning process!

I had a wonderful experience working with the hotel. Their staff was highly knowledgeable and accommodating. The day of did not go as expected, however, their team was able to come to the rescue and help us make our day possible. The food was also fantastic! It is by far the best wedding food I have ever had. The hotel staff were also very helpful in obtaining our block of rooms. I would say that everyone that I worked with was very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wedding/reception venue in Champaign. I'm very glad we chose the I Hotel!

The I-Hotel was an amazing venue for our wedding and I encourage every bride to check them out. I could be involved in as many or as few details as I wanted. The food was wonderful and the flowers matched my vision perfectly. Highest ratings for customer service when they took care of an issue I had with a different vendor. The staff just took care of it. My entire wedding party and many family members stayed in the hotel too. We made an entire weekend out of it and the I-Hotel made it wonderful.

The staff at I Hotel was wonderful to work with. They went above and beyond to make our daughters wedding weekend perfect and beautiful from start to finish. From the rehearsal dinner, bridal party suite, reception and after everything was top notch. Very pleased parents of the Bride. Thank you I Hotel!!

We could not of chosen a better venue for our reception. Susan was our day of wedding coordinator and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They take the hassle out of decorating and cleaning up for you which is one less thing you should have to worry about on your big day. Susan was available to me any time before the wedding and she or one of the other wonderful staff members was always available to us. If we could do it all over again I would do it all the same!

The staff was absolutely amazing and always helpful. They Kept our stress levels down by pretty much doing everything! The venue was beautiful. They went above and beyond to meet our needs. I was so stressed the night before about little things like not having written numbers our chalk board table numbers. Well the coordinator said no problem we can handle all of it and they did that for me and so much more. I would definitely reccomend the Ihotel to anyone getting married. Take your stress away!

The I Hotel was the perfect choice! We had a smaller wedding (max of 70 planned guests, turnout of under 50) in the Alma Mater room, and held both ceremony and reception in the same room. We didn't do anything too crazy, so the I Hotel staff had no problems taking our decorations and having them set up and ready to go for the ceremony, and had the room flip done in no time while we enjoyed cocktail hour just outside the room. Susan was fantastic to work with, always ready to answer questions or provide reassurance!The catering is done through the university, and it was absolutely fantastic as well! Connie and Susan worked hand-in-hand and ensured we had a wonderful night (despite my somehow messing up my seating chart and numbers, which had us with a chair missing at one table - the team had that fixed before I even knew about it!) and I honestly didn't have a thing to worry about during the reception.It was a bonus having nearly everyone at the hotel - fewer worries about driving, and it was so easy for us all to meet up before the wedding and to say goodbyes the next morning.All of this - and we were planning from Minneapolis, MN, with no real chances to stop by the hotel before we arrived to stay the week of our wedding. This was the perfect choice - and who knows? Maybe in a decade we'll be planning our vow renewal there!

We had a wonderful experience with using the I-Hotel and Conference Center for our wedding reception venue! We received many compliments on the location and the food! We really enjoyed working with the event coordinators, especially Susan! They took care of everything for us on our wedding day and it was a beautiful reception! All of our questions were answered quickly as we were planning. I would highly recommend having a wedding reception or any event at the I-Hotel and Conference Center!

We had the most beautiful wedding reception at the I-Hotel. It was simply perfect. The team/coordinators checked every detail with me (bride) as well as my spouse. It was a perfect day and I can't express how thankful we are for their help. Shout out to Susan, she made us feel so special throughout the planning process and never missed a beat. So accommodating and friendly. Our day will forever be remembered as flawless and perfect thanks to the I-Hotel and their team!

My husband and I booked the I Hotel as our reception venue a little over a year in advance. From the time we signed our initial contract, the I Hotel staff was incredibly helpful and reassuring through every step of the process! I was the type of bride that asked a lot of questions. Whether it was about the centerpieces, dinner options, or table linens, I was always greeted with a cheerful response and helpful advice. I even remember Susan, the Conference Center Events Manager looking at me and saying \"Even if you came to us with no ideas about to how to decorate/what decor to use, we'd still make the place beautiful for you... it's our job to make sure you are nothing but happy on your special day!\" Those words truly stuck with me, and they did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple getting married in the Champaign-Urbana area! All of our friends and family who attended would agree: wonderful food, wonderful attention to detail, beautiful venue!

We held our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at the I Hotel on June 3rd. Our experience began with booking and we worked with Megan. She offered great advice and insight on what type of rooms we would need and what the I Hotel could do with the space. My husband and I wanted the entire event to take place in one place as we had many out-of-town guests, and we wanted the weekend to be easy for all of them. Next we worked with Courtney to establish the details of the day. She again made excellent recommendations and worked to make sure all of my desires were met. She worked to coordinate the day, along with my wedding planner and all of the vendors, to make sure that everything happened smoothly and effortlessly. Finally we worked with Jose in catering to establish the food and drink contracts for the weekend. Jose was incredibly accommodating, even accepting my request at the last minute for a tasting and another last-minute request to add food at our rehearsal. He even helped me pick a vegan meal when I found out some of my guests were vegan. His recommendation was spot-on as the dinner was both delicious and filling (something that is very hard to do with vegan meals). Jose and his team stole the show with their excellent food and impeccable service. I received many compliments about their work.The rooms were all beautifully arranged according to our specifications, the food was wonderful (we were told by many guests as well as our own observations), and the entire staff on the conference side was courteous and attentive. We would recommend the conference center to any and everyone. We hit a bump on the hotel side, however. The hotel booked without informing me that they were almost full and I had many guests scrambling to find nearby accommodations at the last minute. We also booked the bridal suite for two nights but were told that we could only have it for one night. The hotel righted all these situations promptly and courteously, but we wished that communication had been better throughout the process.All in all, I would recommend the I Hotel for events because the staff was incredibly kind and courteous, the food was fantastic, the rooms were and are beautiful, and the venue is perfect for a one-stop-shop.

We were so pleased with all the vendors we worked with through the I-Hotel. From catering to our event planner, they were in constant contact with us from 18 months in advance to the day after our reception making sure everything went as we planned. Jeremy and Susan were our go-to people, and we couldn't be more grateful for their help. Our guests were so pleased with the cocktail hour drinks and appetizers, the beautiful ballroom, the excellent dinner and wonderful wait-staff.

I was very please at how accommodating I Hotel was! I Hotel wanted to make sure everything was in order and set up so we didn't have to worry. Everything was prepared amazingly! From the decorations to the food! The staff was very friendly and made sure our day was great! Susan Estergard was an awesome wedding coordinator. She made sure everything was how I wanted it! She wanted us to not have to worry so much and asked how we wanted things!

After a lot of searching for the perfect venue, we came across iHotel. The rooms rentals in the conference center are an incredible value. The event crew that is included in that made may planning very easy, especially towards the end. Our coordinator, Morgan, was very personable and reminded me of things I hadn't even thought of. We used my own laptop for music and videos. Their hookups for their sound system and AV crew made it effortless. The catering (which has a minimum cost on Saturday nights, which is not hard to reach on guest counts of 100 or more) had a few hiccups during the reception, but the supervisor kept us informed along the way and all the servers were positive and very helpful. The University Catering was happy to accommodate our wishes of serving a costume buffet of Lebanese style food. It turned out amazing. I was able to relax and get myself ready for the wedding without worrying too much about how things were coming together down stairs. It was more than I could have hoped for on our big day.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! From start to finish, I knew my daughter made the right choice! Precisely accurate on Every detail. Staff is AMAZING!!!Courtney, Sunju, Megan, and Susan they all worked so wonderful and communicated with each other so Everyone was Always on the same page. WORTH Every dime i Paid. Wouldn't trade it for anything!!! Can't thank them enough for making my daughters and new son-in-laws night Perfect, Flawless, Stress free for me and BEAUTIFUL!! :) BEST TEAM EVER !!!

The I Hotel was a beautiful venue. The staff was super helpful and took care of everything for me. The food/alcohol was a little on the expensive side (but I had 200 people, so it was going to be), but it was excellent! Everyone I've talked to loved it. I would definitely recommend the I Hotel to everyone in the Champaign area.

I worked with Susan Estergard and she was fantastic; open to my ideas and personable. Wasn't as impressed with the catering director. The staff was great during the reception and were very helpful towards the end (they helped my parents clean up all the table arrangements and pack up everything in their van). I was disappointed that the set-up team did not follow the approved room layout.

We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated working with the i-Hotel. The customer service and attention we received throughout our wedding planning experience was unparalleled. We planned our entire wedding from the suburbs, so access to email communication was critical. The i-Hotel catering, booking and event logistics staff were all available via email and were very responsive. They were flexible about meeting with us on weekends, and came to planning meetings fully prepared. The staff was courteous, professional and seemed to genuinely care about making our day special. They allowed us to put our personal touch on our reception decor, and worked well to coordinate with all of our vendors (taking a ton of the stress and pressure off of us!). On the day of, the space looked beautiful! The food was DELICIOUS (our guests ranted and raved about it all night) and the staff did an above and beyond job of helping us set up, keep the party going and take down at night. Couldn't speak more highly about them if I tried. :D
