I truly cannot imagine having had our wedding anywhere else but ICONA Avalon! I (Nicole) grew up going to Avalon every summer with my family, and Rob and I are both such beach people. We knew we wanted to get married on the beach since before we even got engaged. Icona was the first venue we looked at, and we ultimately chose it for a few reasons: 1. because of how beautiful it is, and 2. because of the ease of having everything in one place- from getting ready in the beautiful ocean front room, to our ceremony on the beach, to our reception being just a few steps away on the veranda (plus them being able to accommodate our small \"micro\" wedding wishes), our after party at the beach bar, and rooms available for our guests. We wanted our day to feel fun, beautiful, and easy, and it was exactly that! (My uncle even commented about how relaxed he felt throughout the day and said \"I feel like I'm on vacation!\") Alyssa (your first point of contact) was incredibly helpful, professional, and welcoming from the first conversation through the wedding day, and both Sarah and then Courtney helped us each step of the way to make our wedding come to life in exactly the way we envisioned. I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Courtney - I don't know how she does it all! She dealt with my million emails, questions, and requests, kept impeccable track of every detail, and then set up and broke down all of the signs and decor pieces we brought on the day of. There was a slight miscommunication with something regarding the after party, but Courtney was right there to help sort things out and make things right so that Rob and I didn't have to deal with it, and could just relax and enjoy the party. Julia, the banquet lead, was absolutely incredible, as well!! From the tasting, to making sure we ate on our wedding day, to helping us keep our dinner timeline on track, she was there for us every step of the way! Even Nici, the bridal room attendant for the morning of the wedding was amazing at checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. I could go on and on about this amazing crew and venue, but ultimately if you're looking for a beautiful beach wedding and a wonderful team to help you bring your vision to life, Icona Avalon is the place!Thank you Alyssa, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Julia, and Nici for being so wonderful and making our day so incredibly special! You are friends and family for life, and we can't wait to see you on our first anniversary!

Our family now refers to Alyssa Jones, director of wedding sales, as our angel from ICONA Avalon. With less than short notice, Alyssa led us in organizing a ceremony and space that looked as though it had taken a year of planning. Alyssa, and other ICONA Avalon staff members, exemplified care and service that made us feel like we were the only couple getting married on a weekend full of weddings. We had the best wedding at ICONA Avalon. The staff was friendly, easy to work with and so accommodating to every last minute change and small detail. The hotel is beautiful, right on the beach and they have so many different options to set up your wedding! We did an after party outside in the firepit/sandbar area and it was the best time! We can't wait to celebrate our one year anniversary back at ICONA!

We booked with Icona about 13 months prior to our wedding day. We worked with Alyssa for several months on general planning info and about 6 months out Courtney was hired and she helped with all the fine details of the big day. Both were extremely helpful throughout the process. As we approached about 3 months out from wedding day, they were even more involved with making sure all the decor, menus, seating, etc was taken care and to answer the inevitable 100 questions that will come up along the way. The day of was flawless (September is the best time in our opinion!). Weather was perfect, everything was decorated and setup in advance. We truly had no hiccups at all throughout the night. The service staff was awesome as well. My wife and I had a personal server who we had met personally on the night of our menu tasting and got her whole unique backstory on so it was nice to see a familiar face! She personally served us and anything we needed for ourselves or a guest was done immediately. My best man to his fault, accidentally ordered the wrong thing and within 2 seconds he had both entrees in front of him to make sure he got what he wanted. Overall, very accommodating and the night we were anxiously waiting for went perfectly. Also worth noting, this is one of the most cost effective venues from Sea Isle City down to Cape May which was also shocking to us given the Luxurious stature that Icona brings.

Our wedding was just last Friday. We drove 3 hours for a beach wedding, but the weather had other plans. Alyssa and her team made the transition flawless! I couldn't have planned this any better without her skill and expertise! Our guests continue to rave about the beauty of the venue, the staff, and every single guest said it was the BEST wedding they have ever been to! So much fun, food was fantastic! Staff was professional and courteous. Everyone left there with such a glorious experience! If you want a beach wedding then ICONA Avalon is it!! Don't worry about weather-the backup is just as stunning!! 5 stars all around!!!

We recently got married on 4/23 & saying our day was PERFECT is a complete understatement. It truly could not have been more magical & we were so sad to leave the next day knowing it was already over. For any brides looking for a beachy but elegant wedding venue, Icona Avalon is 100% for you! We first spoke to the coordinator Alyssa via zoom back in April of 2022. My husband (yay!!) and I quickly fell in love with her warm heart & bubbly personality and knew we wanted to work with her. We planned our wedding all the way from New Hampshire & Alyssa made the whole process as easy & stress free as possible. We actually didn’t meet her until December of 22 at our tasting but we felt like we’ve known her for years! She truly took care of us, answered all emails right away, checked in on us both the day of our wedding & most importantly made our day go smoothly. Literally everything went perfectly all because of her. We are so grateful for not only Alyssa but the rest of the team at Icona. Guests raved about the food, the beautiful Seaglass ballroom & and the ocean front ceremony. Such a romantic place to get married with all your loved ones surrounding you! We are so fortunate to have gotten married at our dream venue & to have gained so many new friendships with the team. We can’t wait to go back for our one year anniversary & hug everyone!

Alyssa was a huge help leading up to the wedding and also on the day of, as well as Julia who made sure we were both taken care of throughout the night. Everything went so smoothly and we had such a blast!

My son and his new wife were married here on November 5 2022. It was exactly how we thought it would be. Simply amazing. From the pre planning to the wedding day it was wonderful. The venue is impeccable, the rooms were beautiful and spotless. The wedding was everything they had dreamed of. However, none of this would have happened without Sarah and Alyssa. We cannot emphasize enough how these two professionals made their wedding day a success!! From start to finish Sarah organized the entire event. She was available for every question, every single phone call and every email. Alyssa provided guidance and support the entire day. They removed all the stress and made a smooth transition from the morning to the end of the evening. Yes, it is on the pricer side but well worth it. If you are thinking of this venue. Book it, you wont regret it!!

Since we didn’t have the wedding with them, they were difficult to work with and felt like such an afterthought the entire time. After the experience we had the night before, I’m so thankful we didn’t have the wedding there!

I couldn't be happier with how our big day turned out! From the prep to the day of to the attention to detail and day of focus on my husband and I we couldn't be happier. Working with Sarah and Alyssa was amazing. Sarah was wonderful to work with, easy to get a hold of and incredibly knowledgeable and so incredibly helpful- in addition to being super sweet! She took care of every detail along with the amazing ICONA staff - Yulia was with us the entire evening and made sure we ate, had drinks and everything we needed was there for us. I can't say enough about how awesome our most favorite bartenders Adrienne and Ryan were! Adrienne even helped us name our signature drink. Amanda was super in terms of helping with reservations and ensuring our guests got everything they needed while staying at the ICONA. I can't recommend this venue and team enough!

We were married on the beach at ICONA Avalon and it was amazing. Our wedding coordinator Carly Peel did a fantastic job throughout the entire process from planning to execution. She was super friendly and easy to work with and really knew her stuff, making everything as smooth as possible, and always responded quickly to our questions. She really took a lot of the stress out of everything, and she particularly did a great job on decorating our cocktail and reception area! The wedding went off without hitch and we couldn't have asked for a better day. If you're looking for a beach wedding on the Jersey shore, we would definitely recommend ICONA Avalon and Carly!

Everything from the helpful staff to the facilities and food and bar services were superb! So great to have room accommodations right at the reception hall. Had so many comments from our guest that the venue was spectacular right up to the after party at the beach bar! Thank you Icona.

We picked ICONA because we were doing a destination wedding. The staff and venue were an amazing choice. Since we were not able to be on site during the wedding planning the event coordinators did an outstanding job in helping us find the vendors we needed who were as magnificent as the ICONA staff.. Everyone was super helpful and so easy to work with. The attention to detail was top notch!! We had the best time as did our guests. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!

I'm not really sure where to begin with this review because there's so much to say. I'll start with the venue.The venue literally speaks for itself. It's stunning. Our wedding guests were completely in awe of every space we used throughout our day. From the beach, to the ballroom, to the veranda, the brew pub, and everything else in between- breathtaking. I can't imagine spending the most special day of my life anywhere else.The staff were so accommodating and welcoming. There was always someone near by whenever we needed anything at all. They were extremely attentive and helpful. A special little shoutout to Julia, she's incredible!! Last but certainly not least, Alyssa and Sarah, our wedding coordinators. I don't even have the words to explain my gratitude for them. They were with me from the very start to the very end, constantly checking in and helping wherever they can. They went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely perfect. When you plan a wedding, it can be pretty stressful. These two helped keep the stress two a minimum throughout the whole process. I truly don't know how I would've done it without them!If you're considering ICONA Avalon for your wedding day, it's a no brainer. I'd give more stars if I could 😊

We recently got married at ICONA and it truly was a dream come true day, thanks in no small part to the efforts of Alyssa, Sarah, and the rest of the ICONA team! Alyssa was incredibly helpful and patient with us leading up to our big day. She was attentive and responsive to our questions, which was very comforting as we were planning the wedding. There was also a transition in staff, with Sarah joining the ICONA team just a couple of months before our wedding. She was also great! We'd also like to shout out Amanda, who handled reservations for our many out of town guests, some of whom were coming from out of the country. Our guests loved their weekend spent at this oceanfront resort.If you are looking for an ocean front wedding, ICONA is a phenomenal option! We are so happy that we got married at ICONA!

From beginning to end of my daughter‘s wedding the only word that comes to mind is perfect. The service, food, and staff were impeccable. I would highly recommend Icona for any event, especially a wedding!

After Alyssa the event coordinator was unable to give us a tour we walked the venue ourselves and though we liked the venue, what sold us on booking our wedding was the response from Alyssa who spoke to us over the phone & seemed so engaged. Once we signed the contract & put a deposit, all communication from ICONA stopped as they did not have a wedding planner. Erin worked at ICONA as the wedding planner for a short period of time, and was excellent to deal with but quit one month before our wedding. A new wedding planner came in, Sarah, and her inexperience was palpable. The day of my wedding I saw her at 9am and then not again until 10pm when she was looking for a credit card for the after party. We paid an extra $8K for cocktail hour as we added every station ICONA offered. There were not enough plates & guests began to hover at stations while eating over them. There was not a lot of food for the price we paid. The passed hors d'oeuvres were extremely light. The cocktail hour was a huge disappointment. I cannot imagine what it would have been like if we didn't add all the stations. There was a male bartender that was incredibly rude. Multiple guests complained to me about him. The father of the groom asked him for a beer a few minutes before cocktail hour ended and the male bartender wouldnt give it to him. The guests all told me he was rude until you tipped him and then he was a little nicer. There was a 20% tip already paid in my contract to all the waitstaff. We had a timeline with the venue that stated 8:30 cake cutting followed by a birthday we wanted to recognize. We cut the cake and then my husband had to search for an ICONA employee to ask where Sarah and the birthday cake was. The DJ could only stall for so long, so we decided to move on to an anniversary dance without the birthday cake. Only to have Sarah finally appear mid dance, interrupting the flow. I went over this multiple times via email & phone calls with both Sarah and Alyssa. We had 11 cancellations the week of our wedding & were upgraded to the ocean view suite. I called the front desk at 7am to see if I could move our stuff into the room for the groomsmen to take photos there. I was told I could & given a key. There was still a couple in the room who did not check out until 12pm, when checkout is 10am. I was told they would clean the room first so it would be available for photos, but with the previous guests not leaving until 12, the groomsmen had to take pictures elsewhere. I was told our stuff would be moved by staff into the new room but they never did. The groomsmen moved our stuff for us during the reception. I paid an extra fee for coffee to be served. It wasnt mentioned that it would be a self serve coffee station. The mother of the bride ended up serving guests coffee to each table. We reserved 4 fire pits for the after party with the money from the cancellations. When we went out to the Sand Bar, 1 of the fire pits already had other hotel guests sitting at it. ICONA double booked the fire pit. A storm came an hour into our after party & in my contract, a rain location of the Avalon Brew Pub was to be provided. Sarah said she had no rain location for us so it ended when rain started. The price we paid for our wedding was to be on an oceanfront venue, that is it. The service & experience leading up to the day was not what we expected with the price tag. My husband and I keep saying we should have gone with our gut & booked Windows on the Water.

We got married at the Icona Avalon on April 29th and could not be happier with our choice to host our wedding with them. Working with Alyssa and team was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The team was so helpful navigating the complexities of re-scheduling with Covid. When it came time to plan for the big day they were by our side through it all, planning, food, room blocks, vendor issues.. you name it they helped us figure it out with ease. Every detail was covered and they are so thoughtful in their planning and approach. Day of.. they truly provided a wonderful experience making us and our guests feel special. The rooms are clean and beautiful and the attention to detail and level of professionalism was truly 5-star. We could not be happier with our decision to get married at the Icona Avalon.

My April wedding at ICONA was amazing. I had my rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks, beach ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and wedding brunch all at ICONA and it was absolutely perfect. The food was excellent. My guests loved spending the weekend here and made a vacation out of it. We also got very lucky with a warm, sunny weekend in April.Highlights were Alyssa, Erin and Yulia. Alyssa was super helpful and very responsive from the beginning. She navigated us through changing our date through COVID smoothly. Erin was the absolute best. She answered emails right away and paid attention to every detail. For example, asked her to refold napkins the night before the wedding and she had her team do it exactly how I wanted. Yulia was an amazing server and had food and drinks set aside for us during the reception. I highly recommend having your wedding here!

Our November wedding at Icona was a DREAM! Alyssa met with us to tour the venue and was patient in answering all of our questions. She was always easy to get in touch with and helped me feel comfortable about booking. Erin was the wedding planner and I cannot get over her responsiveness. She responded to every email I sent promptly and thoroughly. She did a great job setting up our cocktail hour and reception as I imagined it. She was so easy to work with and really made the process as stress-free as possible. The food was incredible and the service was great! Everything looked beautiful and I cannot wait to get my pictures back! The only negative part of our experience was with the reservations side of things. The reservations manager was difficult to track down and not as responsive in getting back to us. We had some trouble viewing who had booked through our room block, but the staff was accommodating and offered to cross check our guest list with their reservations. There was a mixup with our own personal booking and someone actually called up from the front desk on the day of our wedding to tell me that I had to check out (this is in the middle of me getting my hair and makeup done so my sister had to field the call!) It ended up being an error in their system and was pretty stressful at that time but the staff was apologetic afterward. Overall, I would still 100% recommend having a wedding at Icona. It will be beautiful and you will love it!

Amazing experience. The venue was beautiful but the staff was even better. They accommodated a variety of changes throughout the process and couldn't have been more accommodating. The service at the reception, dinners, hotel etc were amazing. Highly recommend as we couldn't have imagined a better wedding venue choice!

We had the BEST day ever. Originally a May 15, 2020 bride, we rescheduled no less than 4 times, and finally had the big celebration we always dreamed of on Oct 17th, and cannot be more happy with how it turned out. Alyssa and team worked with us endlessly to find new dates, and were extremely patient, kind and helpful. I think I cried when I toured the venue because it was so beautiful and exactly what I was looking for - a modern beachfront ballroom, simple white walls, an awesome clean bar, and wood floors etc it was just gorgeous. The space leaves plenty of room for an awesome dance floor, the food was absolutely amazing -- I don't typically expect that much from \"wedding food\" but they knock it out of the park, our guests were raving. Erin O'Brien was so on top of everything to help us with the day of set up and decor and it just all came together seamlessly. Amanda with hotel room blocks is also an MVP, she was soo lovely to work with - so a big shoutout. We LOVE the Icona Avalon and can't thank the team there enough for making our dream wedding come true - thank you for not giving up on us!!

I don't even know where to begin... if you are thinking of booking your wedding at ICONA...stop thinking and just DO IT! This was the first venue my fiancé and I walked into and booked immediately. I assure you, pictures do not do it justice (even though they are flawless). Alyssa was super helpful with planning and very easy to get a hold of. We had to postpone two times and she guided us each time, despite how much she had going on with all of the other brides that had to postpone. Our wedding was an absolute dream come true. Once we made our final date change, Erin helped us coordinate the entire wedding and offered the best options when asked. The stressful weeks and days leading up to the wedding were far less thanks to Erins calming demeanor and professionalism. Our wedding was like a fairytale, a true dream wedding. Everyone was wonderful to work with, the food was out of this world, and our guests are still raving about how great of a weekend they had celebrating with us. I would have my sons wedding at the Avalon, NJ ICONA all over again if I could …. next week maybe?!Then again …. after that. Absolutely spectacular, not only the ICONA Avalon, NJ venue, but even more so was the staff. Everyone from Amanda @ check-in, Alyssa with event planning, Erin-so personable, Julia-what a sweetheart, I could go on-and-on. EVERYONE was better than advertised. It took eight days for my phone to stop receiving emails / TM’s / calls concerning my son and future daughter-in-law’s wedding. Everyone raved about the ICONA, the amenities, and mostly the special / personnel touches provided by the ICONA staff. It really is true that a company is only as good as it’s people. Overall the staff was a gem, very very special.

Alyssa and Erin are who we worked with at Icona and they are so lovely and amazing. They helped us get all the details and everything inline for our big day. After you book with Icona they give you a big checklist which really helps guide you in the process. Our wedding was such a fantastic party, the food was amazing, you get to choose your beers and the liquor is great brands they have standard. The venue is absolutely amazing, views from the ceremony area on the beach, the reception hall and everything else. A big thing that needs to be noted is that Icona let us bring in a ton of our own decorations, and let us hang them all up in the reception area to let us add extra individualized touch, it meant a lot and was really amazing. The rooms were all so nice also all of our guests were complementing.We do want to add that the staff took many extra steps to make sure that we got fed, and were well taken care of during our big day. Kathy was our server who made sure we were able to get food at cocktail hour, always could get a drink for us and sat us down for dinner. It really was a nice special touch that made our day even more special.

I reached out to Alyssa & Carly at Icona just a few days before our ceremony and they made all of my wedding dreams come true. They were a pleasure to work with and met all of our needs on a very last minute schedule. Can’t recommend this venue enough. All of staff was very friendly and accommodating . We had first booked our wedding back in 2018 for 2020. Alyssa and everyone at the ICONA were extremely accommodating with having to change our date due to the pandemic. Our wedding was everything we could have imagined and more. All of the details were ironed out seamlessly beforehand by Alyssa & Erin so the day was completely stress free. The list of preferred vendors was spot on and the food was delicious. Many of my guests commented it was the best wedding they had been to. We cannot say enough about how amazing our wedding day at ICONA, Avalon was! After two postponements my husband and I were finally able to have our perfect day on August 7th! Alyssa was there every step of the way with planning and re planning of our big day over the years! Alyssa and Erin were both so amazing and supportive the entire time and ensured that the day ran smoothly! The entire staff was so thoughtful, well organized and attentive! The food was amazing and drinks were made perfect without any wait time for guests! We cannot thank them enough for the most amazing day and making our dreams into reality! Truly a dream come true! Alyssa, Erin, the serving staff/bartender, even the hotel staff went above and beyond to provide the best experience not only for my husband and I, but for our guests as well. They make accommodation an artform. When we first saw the Icona Avalon we were blown away by its beauty and overall vibe. We could envision our friends and family living it up, enjoying all that it had to offer. I had no idea just how much that vision would become my reality. Since Covid reared its ugly head a very short time after we booked and had our tasting, it put a lot of things in perspective. We kept our original date to get married and we pushed our reception back a year. The event team worked with us and helped us keep hope alive. Through their actions, they kept us assured from the start that everything would be ok. It was all worth it in the end. We had our reception with about 60 people on the Veranda. Erin and her team did a great job with our set up. She had a good balance of making her presence known without being overbearing. People raved about the food and the service. One guest told me the bartender remembered what he was having and had his drink ready to go when she saw him walk up to the bar. Another said how good they were about dietary needs. As someone who has my own food allergy, I appreciate how closely they worked with the chef to ensure everyone would eat something good and wouldn't have to settle. Our attendant Yulia was so sweet and even brought over a bucket of ice to put into napkins for us to cool off. It's that attention to detail we are so grateful for. It's why they deserve every one of these 5 stars. We reserved a fire pit at the Sandbar Bar and Lounge for the after party. Luckily, and to our disbelief, Hurricane Henri decided to spare Avalon and the weather turned out amazingly nice as the day progressed. We certainly took full advantage of the Sandbar's \"Reggae Sundays.\" The band was great, and we were dancing with our toes in the sand. So much fun! Our rooms and hotel accommodations were fantastic, too. We are so happy we booked an extra night to celebrate our anniversary the next day. It was great to lounge by the pool and unwind in bliss. Overall, we had a full destination wedding experience about an hour away from our home. We highly recommend Icona Avalon for any event, but especially for your wedding. We cannot thank them enough!

Choosing the ICONA Avalon for our wedding was one of the best choices we could have made. The venue was gorgeous and the service was phenomenal. We had originally booked the ICONA for our July 2020 wedding but had to postpone until July 2021. Alyssa was super helpful during the entire process from initial booking, to rescheduling, to the day of. Her and the coordinator, Erin, were very responsive in answering any questions we had and made it super easy to customize our day. I loved having Erin the day of the wedding to ensure everything ran smoothly. We got married on July 4th and she even ensured that no one got in the way of the ceremony which was on the public beach in front of the hotel. They even had a dedicated server for us during the cocktail hour and reception that ensured our drinks and plates were never empty. We had our rehearsal dinner the night before at the beach bar which everyone enjoyed. It made it super easy to talk to everyone before the big day. Overall, it was the perfect wedding!

We got married in July 2021. I loved this venue for a summer wedding. My fiancé and I got married in the Veranda and had our reception in the ball room. It was PERFECT. No complaints. We had an event coordinator (Erin) who was with us throughout the entire process. She answered my calls and texts immediately and answered all my questions (and I had A LOT of questions). During the reception we had a server (I believe her name was Kathy) assigned directly to us. She was so attentive. Any time we put down our drink, she had a new one ready for us. She even had a little table tucked away and reserved for us and snuck us out for about 15 minutes during our cocktail hour so we could have a plate just for the two of us of all our cocktail hour food. The service at Icona was second to none. We had our rehearsal dinner at the beach bar outside. Highly recommend. And the pool was the perfect area of relaxation I needed that weekend! Great location, friendly courteous staff, great service, perfect wedding. Could not have asked for more.

This venue was beautiful, that’s what sold us. We worked with Alyssa for about 2 and half years leading up to our wedding date. They were accommodating by letting us bring our own desserts and let us get creative with almost everything we planned. The wedding coordinator quit about 6 months out from our wedding date so not much coordinating was happening other then collecting our money. They hired a wedding coordinator (Erin) about 3 week out from our wedding date and she was not very helpful. The hotel block coordinator didn’t respond to several emails which turned into more of a headache. Kathy was our server for the night of our wedding and she was absolutely amazing !!!! She made sure we enjoyed the food and kept our hands filled with drinks. She should have been the wedding coordinator. It seemed like she was the only one there ready to work. All in all, it was not a smooth process, I didn’t feel supported at all by the wedding team or the hotel accommodations. I should also mention that they “threw out” all of our homemade Italian cookie at the end of the night. Without checking in with the bride, groom, MOB, or MOG.

The ICONA Avalon team was - in a word - AMAZING! From our first meeting through all the preparations to the fantastic wedding day, the team provided unwavering support and invaluable advice. Alyssa Jones was a tireless coordinator, supervising all aspects of what became the most perfect wedding. Erin O'Brien handled every one of our endless requests with patience and success. Randel Davis and Amanda moved mountains to coordinate guest rooms and amenities. Every one of our guests commented that the food was delicious; the setting and the venue were beautiful; the staff was attentive and friendly -- in fact, that the entire event was flawless! We heard time and again that ours was the best wedding ever! As the mother of the groom, I appreciated the team's constant anticipation of anything and everything and the overall elimination of stress that allowed us simply to enjoy the moment! I could not be happier for the whole experience!!

There's no amount of words to be able to explain the elite degree of hospitality we received during our wedding weekend. Besides the ease and continued professionalism throughout the planning process, we were top priority the second we walked into the resort for the final event. We planned our wedding prior to the COVID-19 mandatory shut down and had to postpone once to lead to a December wedding. Even with the global pandemic ICONA Avalon refused to give us nothing but the best, accommodating every want, need, question, and concern, of course over-communicating throughout. They delivered well beyond our (and our guests') expectations. We had a large wedding party, 26 including our parents, and they controlled the room during rehearsal, day-of preparations, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, after-party, and check out the following morning. I'm still in awe weeks after the event and we consistently are hearing feedback from our guests how it was the best wedding they've ever been to. I could go on forever about their staff and their attentiveness, the facility and its flawlessness, the planning process and its ease as well as the small details and organization for our vendors. I wish I could rate them 10/5 because the stress I was warned about never came and the best day of our lives was provided, not only for us, but our loved ones. We truly couldn't ask for anything more!

I’m torn between 3 and 4 stars , but I’m going with 4 because 2020 with covid was hard on everyone. Overall we did end up having a very nice wedding , and a great time. Luckily my husband and I had the night very well planned out. We used the “recommended” vendors on ICONAS list, I would not recommend that. Not completely venues fault but they should definitely not be recommending “party masters entertainment”. Value your money and book someone else. Kyle was a disaster. I also was not impressed with “petals floral design” from their list either. I did not receive what I requested. Our beach Ceremony got rained out so we had it in the verdana room , we only had roughly 65 guests and it felt pretty tight. The ballroom was very spacious, and beautiful. The bar and the food were all great. The team was respectful the day of our wedding and great with our guests. Ashley was great for rehearsal and the day of our wedding , but was very hard to get ahold of throughout our planning.. This venue lacks communication, A LOT, in every area. This is something they really need to work on. My cake was displayed wrong simply due to lack of communication. It was suppose to be a donut tower cake , but only the small cake topper was put on our cake table. By the time I saw it was too late. The cake delivery said they told the venue exactly how to display it. The venue packed up all our desserts for us , but didn’t pack any leftover food. I have a hard time believing there was no food left over as we had a few guests not show up. This was a destination wedding for us , and all our guests traveled a good distance. They were all hungry by the end of the wedding and there was nothing to eat and everything was closed. Another issue we had was the front desk tried charging us again for all our rooms as we were checking out. I was able to prove (and explain) we had paid in advance but if my husband didn’t come get me we would have been charged additional. Again, we made the best of everything and we had a fantastic night. But I definitely suggest this venue works on their communication.

Honestly I was in love with Icona's grounds when we booked it as our venue. And truly had nothing but great things to say. But something was always off. For starters our food tasting was completely forgotten about. When my entire family showed up, Ashley said it was because we were texting the details instead of emailing them. I was given her number to text, so I don't believe this is my fault nor should I have ever been blammed. However they did make it up to us and we moved on from there. But when the Pandemic hit and things got shuffled so did our wedding. We were never actually contacted to check in, we always had to call to see what was going on. Our vision did not fit the temporary plan that the venue had put into place for all displaced weddings that could not be held inside. We did not want to have our dream day on their Veranda terrace. It didn't feel like us. We tried to work with the team to create another outdoor option that would take place in the hotel rooms and dune front area. There were many restrictions involved that the venue needed to sort out. I constantly was on top of them to figure it out faster. My issue was with the urgency and bedside manor in which it was handled. I was told we could not measure the space because it was their busy season and guests were in the room. It took all summer/months to discuss tent options and everything was always an additional expense. Including moving hedge walls. They said this was because they are expensive. All of this when the venue already had almost all of our money from the original date, and we saw nothing from them. With 1 month left to go and still no answers what our wedding would look like we decided we were not given the proper attention we deserved nor was our wedding a priority to Icona. We did not want to feel this way on our big day. Trust me when I say, I had to follow up every few days for a response to things that were important. That is not how you want to be treated as a bride who's wedding was postponed for 4 months. We decided to withdraw from the venue. They proceeded to argue and keep most of our deposit because we did the canceling. Nevermind that COVID canceled our original plans we signed up for. While I do agree that Alyssa and Ashley are very nice, I strongly feel that they are spread way too thin and cannot give every bride what they deserve. At the end of they day money felt like the most important thing to this vendor. And that is not how I would recomend spending your dream day.

Planning a wedding during a pandemic has it challenges, but ICONA Avalon helped us plan the most perfect micro-wedding once our original plans fell through. The beach ceremony was a perfect back drop to our vows and the team did a great job creating a special space for us in the Sandbar Grill for our friends and family to celebrate with us. While it didn't look like the original wedding that we had planned when we got engaged in September 2019, it ended up being SO much better thanks to the ICONA Avalon team.

My husband and I hosted our (very last-minute) small ceremony at ICONA Avalon. Alyssa (Director of Wedding Sales) and Ashley (Wedding Specialist) worked with us to make our wedding incredibly special, despite all the restrictions. We had our ceremony on the beach with approximately 20 guests and our reception at rented spaces (2 firepits and 2 cabanas) at the Sandbar. All of our guests felt very comfortable and were able to stay socially distanced. We chose to serve passed appetizers and open bar, both of which were served promptly. All staff were wearing masks (correctly). We had our ceremony at 6:30 and had no issues with other beach patrons while taking photos. ICONA provided chairs and a walk way and also assembled the arch we rented. All of our other vendors were suggested (not required) by the team and were wonderful to work with as well. I was very impressed by the team and their ability to make a COVID ceremony still feel like the best day of our lives.

It’s hard to put into words the magic you feel on your wedding day. From the moment we stepped foot into the lobby at Icona Avalon, I knew I could convince my husband to have a Friday wedding. Alyssa was amazing from day one and willing to accommodate our intimate 40 person wedding in less than 7 months. We were able to have our perfect beach wedding and celebration in the ball room. Alyssa and Ashley were so easy to work with and were able to accommodate all of our requests. Ashley was one email away with suggestions and support to make our day perfect. All of our guests enjoyed a weekend celebration filled with the beach, sunshine, laughter and cocktails. It truly was the best day and weekend! Thank you to Icona Avalon for letting us celebrate our happy ending!

We just got married on 8/21/20 and so many of our guests have said we had the best wedding ever with the most delicious food.. and we know that’s because of our amazing wedding venue at Icona Avalon!!! Planning a wedding is not easy and rescheduling a wedding due to a world pandemic is even worse but Alyssa and Ashley were there for us every step of the way. They listened to everything I wanted for our wedding day and everything was absolutely perfect because of them. Everything I wanted they made happen. Our picture perfect beach ceremony, our beautiful cocktail hour and reception on the veranda were all a dream come true for this corona bride and groom. Everything about this venue is beyond beautiful and perfect. We couldn’t have been happier with our wedding day and planning and we fully recommend Icona Avalon! Thank you again for our PERFECT wedding day!!

We had such a great experience planning our wedding at Icona! From our very fist visit it seemed Ashley and Alyssa had the details planned perfectly. Being out of town during most of the planning, I was able to be in touch with Ashley whenever there was a questions or something I thought of -she was on it. Both her and Alyssa were responsive to emails and took care of everything, even up through the next morning when it came to retrieving items left behind. We loved the venue and all of the decor that came with it, we didn't have to change things like table linens or decor. We had an easy time arranging our rehearsal at Icona around other Friday night events thanks to Ashley's flexibility. On our wedding day both Ashley and Alyssa took care of all of the details we'd talked about, setting up for the day. We had a beach wedding ceremony and hors d'oeuvres on the veranda, which was beautiful (and would have been the backup plan if the weather was not cooperating). For dinner the menu seemed endless with so many delicious items we'd picked at the tasting, which was a wonderful event in itself. Our guests still rave about the amazing food during cocktail hour and dinner. We couldn't be more appreciative of all of the hard work from everyone at Icona who helped to make our day so perfect.

What a magical event! This was a difficult year to plan a wedding. Alyssa was so reassuring and helpful. We had a tight budget and wanted a small intimate event and just assumed we would need to handle details ourselves. But the weekend came and we arrived and from there Ashley took over. We were treated like we were having a huge costly event. Everything was set up, taken down. She was by our side through rehearsal in the sweltering sun, and all day for wedding day. It was beautiful and perfect. Then we found that there room was decorated when they returned at the end of the night. Thank you Alyssa and Ashley for all you did for Danielle and Ben! We will never forget this experience!

WOW! PERFECT! Those are the first words that come to mind when I think back to our wedding in October. My family and I have vacationed in Stone Harbor every summer for over 30 years, and my husband has also been down there numerous times, so it was very exciting to find a venue that was in such a meaningful place for both of us. Everything about it was a dream come true. Location location location! If you want to be married on the beach (which was always my plan), look no further! Despite it being a little on the cold side, Ashely and Alyssa stuck to my wishes and we were able to have 260 guests out on the sand for the ceremony. We had our cocktail hour on the Veranda, which was gorgeously decorated with the ivy they provided and our reception took place in the ballroom and extra room! I was extremely stressed about fitting everyone comfortably since we had a 9-piece band. Ashely was beyond helpful with this (and every detail you can imagine!). My guests LOVED the food, drinks and the service was unmatchable! Everyone was comfortable, both at the tables and in their rooms. It definitely makes it easier to plan a wedding when the venue provides most of the things you need! (Hotel rooms, a space for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and after party, food, alcohol, dessert, tables, chairs and linens, etc.) The wedding cake/dessert is included in the booking which was fantastic. We ended up getting cupcakes for all our guests in vanilla, chocolate and pumpkin, and got a tiny cake just for us. We also loved the list of vendors they suggested and ended up hiring our florist from it. Our after party was right outside the reception at their beach bar, The Sandbar Village. While it wasn't exclusive to our wedding, it was perfect because there weren't many other guests there that weekend. We rented a few fire pits and had breakfast sandwiches and mozzarella sticks which were a huge hit. Guests also hung out at the Brew Pub before our wedding and on the day after. Shout out to everyone on the staff who was always so welcoming and helpful in the months leading up to our big day. Again, I can't say enough good things about Ashely, Alyssa and EVERY single person who works at ICONA Avalon. Thank you times a million! And yes, you should definitely book your wedding here!!

Our wedding at the ICONA in October 2019 was absolutely gorgeous. It is the perfect setting for a beach wedding. We had visited multiple other venues, but when we came to Icona, we knew it was perfect for us. If the weather does not cooperate, the ceremony can be held indoors at the venue. Thankfully we had a beautiful fall day.One positive of this venue is that guests can stay at the hotel, and you will not need to worry about transportation. The rooms are large, clean, and decorated beautifully. Our suite had a breathtaking view of the beach and ocean! I would note that because you are at a beachfront resort, certain times of the year can be pricey, even with the room block. There are also other hotels close by. Be sure to check and see what is open (hotels/restaurants) during the time of year your wedding will be. The ceremony was the highlight of the day and we had so many compliments on it. There is no need to go crazy with the decor because the beach itself is so beautiful. We had almost 200 people at the wedding and seating at the reception was a bit stressful to figure out, but it turned out perfectly. The food was delicious and there was never a line at the bar. Our dance floor was packed the whole night. Ashley and Alyssa were absolutely wonderful and worked with us to make our day go smoothly. They were both very responsive through the whole process. Trust me, there will be some bumps in the road, and you can be confident that they will be there to problem solve. They are both calm and collected and work with you to coordinate the whole day. Ashley even helped to bustle me up before we went into cocktail hour!If it is open, definitely check out the outside beach bar! Also, the Avalon Brew Pub is located right on the premises and was a wonderful place for breakfast the next morning. We stayed for a couple of nights with our families and felt completely comfortable there. The venue matched the vibe we were going for: an upscale but relaxed tropical/beach setting.

After Aaron proposed on the beach, we knew we wanted a shore wedding. Alyssa accommodated our hectic schedule to meet with us to view the property and we fell in love with the space and all the resort had to offer. We didn't end up looking at any other venues because we knew this was the perfect fit for our special day! Alyssa and Ashley make the perfect team, are fast to respond to even the smallest of questions and there to walk you through the entire process. We were able to customize everything from the reception area to menu and the food was one of our top 3 things in looking for a venue. On the day of, everything was perfect and the staff was amazing. Saturday September 28, 2019 our only daughters wedding reception was held at Icona Avalon. From the first meeting with Alyssa Jones 15 months prior to then working with Ashley Ritchie not one detail or request went undone. We had an 11 piece band that rocked the house - the dance floor was packed for four straight hours- Ashley worked tirelessly with our floor plan to afford us a large dance floor - and it worked out perfectly - the cocktail hour with suggestions to add extra hors d'oeuvre's and swap out a small plate with dinner was perfect for our hour and a half cocktail hour. EVERYONE raved about the food!!! The service was second to none. The bartenders were totally on their game. The countless text messages, emails, and phone calls from our (285) guests have been so welcomed and appreciated! Ashley made certain all of our daughters things were packed up and placed in her cleaned room.The day was magical, but ran smooth because of the team in place at Icona Avalon. We hosted a 2 hour after party at the beach bar which made it so nice to be able to stay on site and just relax and hang out with friends and family! We finished off with breakfast in the morning for friends and family that stayed! Thank you Icona!!

My husband and I got married 8/8/19 at Icona Avalon. We had our ceremony on the beach and reception in the sea glass ballroom. It was been one week since our wedding and we are still blown away by how perfect it was! Alyssa and Ashley have been AMAZING and extremely helpful since day 1 when we booked our wedding. They answered all of my emails and provided us with so many options and choices. The entire staff at Icona, from the valet to the front desk, and the bartenders were incredibly friendly and helpful! You can really tell that the employees take pride in this establishment. Our friends and families could not stop complimenting how beautiful Icona was and how professional the staff were! Did I mention the food? WOW it was delicious and our guests were raving about how awesome their meals were! We loved every aspect of Icona and would recommend this venue to anyone, you will not be disappointed in the slightest!!

Ashley and Alyssa made my wedding planning process so easy and enjoyable. Avalon was a slight destination for me and I never felt like it was an inconvenience. They make a fabulous team and truly put so much hard work and love into every wedding that is hosted at ICONA. They truly cared about our wishes and our vision and they certainly brought it to life. Ashley and Alyssa kept in touch throughout the planning process and were nothing but helpful. They truly made our day so special and I am so thankful we had them throughout this season of life, we will miss working so closely with them. I could go on forever about how amazing those ladies are, they played such a large part in our perfect day. We could never thank them enough for their kindness and patiences. The property at ICONA Avalon is absolutely breathtaking, the pictures do not do it justice. The second we toured ICONA, we knew that is where we wanted to get married. The beautiful beach, veranda, and ballroom aligned perfectly to my rustic beach wedding. The elegance and beauty in the venue does not go unnoticed. We used the beach for our ceremony, the Veranda for our cocktail, and the Seaglass ballroom + the Ohana room for our reception. Our wedding was a little under 200 people and we fit perfectly. We used the Ohana add on room as an extra bar and lounge area if people wanted a break from our crazy dance floor! We never felt over crowded. We also used the cabana's and fire-pits for our after party. It was perfect, guests could just walk outside and be at the beach bar for our after party, it was very relaxed and enjoyable. For the next morning, we hosted a small brunch for guests that stayed at ICONA. We had it out on a cabana and it was closed off until 11:00 so we had it pretty much to ourselves. It was the perfect way to send our guests off and say goodbye. Our guests raved about the food. I have never been to a wedding where wedding guests spoke so highly of the food. Everyone made it a point to let us know how good to food was. From the cocktail hour to the plated dinner, everything was delicious and also did not go unnoticed. All guests that stayed at ICONA were speechless, including myself. From the beautiful rooms and amenities, they truly enjoyed themselves. All staff at ICONA is extremely welcoming and friendly. All weekend, they accommodated to our wedding parties' needs. They even accommodated adding extra nights, we weren't quite ready to leave ;) We are so thankful for their excellent hospitality and kindness, it made the weekend that much more memorable and perfect. I give my highest recommendation to ICONA Avalon. We truly had the most perfect day that we will talk about forever. We are counting down the minutes until our 1st year anniversary trip back to the place where we said \"I Do!\" ICONA will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we hope future couples get to experience what we just had, you will not be disappointed. Everything was beyond picture perfect. I wish I could relive this day over and over.

We visited ICona in January 2018 for the first time in our search to find our wedding venue. It was our first stop of many and not one other wedding venue compared to ICona! We wanted a “wedding weekend” and we found just that ! The venue space is absolutely beautiful and modern yet classic and timeless. Our final guest count came to 258 and We were worried that the space would be tight with our very large guest number but it fit us perfectly and we never once felt over crowded. We were thrilled that they decided to add the roof to the veranda as it added more character to the space and gave our wedding more privacy. Alyssa and Ashley were extremely accommodating, helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns throughout the whole process even answering their cell phones on their time off. The food was amazing and the venue did a great job accommodating our guests, especially those with allergies and restrictions. The bartenders were great and very quick! Our guests particularly loved, Mike the bartender for his extreme attentiveness and his aim to please ! We ended are night we a beach bon fire after party which was a great ending to our wedding as well as a brunch the next day which was great. Our guests loved the venue as a whole and many made it a weekend getaway for them and their family. We definitely recommend this beautiful venue !

Last week my son was married at the Icona in Avalon, NJ. I can’t say enough positive things. We began with our rehearsal dinner and continued on to the wedding and after party. The hotel rooms are clean, beautiful and very comfortable. The veranda provided a stunning setting for our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner and wedding ceremony. The staff was friendly, extremely competent and so eager to be helpful. They helped make the vision of our wedding a reality. We chose to use the option of food stations. It was a wonderful decision. The food was absolutely delicious and we received so many positive comments from our guests. We even had a staff member catering to our needs! My wine glass was never empty! The entire staff made us feel welcome and that we were all the most important people at the hotel. I can’t thank the event at the Icona enough.

We had a post wedding breakfast for our guests in the Ohana Room at the Icona in Avalon, NJ. Alyssa was a joy to work with. Everything was set up beautifully! There was plenty of hot food, coffee, juices and continental breakfast foods waiting for us the moment we arrived.The service was excellent throughout the two hour event! The servers made sure the coffee and food platters were full at all times. They responded quickly and happily with any requests that were made. All of our guests were impressed!Also, many of our guests stayed at the Icona for the weekend. The rooms were immaculately clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated.I highly recommend the Icona!

I am the owner of Sound Entertainmentnj Dj's for over 30 years. Icona Golden, Avalon, NJ is by far the most accommodating venue I have ever worked with. Ashley was amazing. She gave me her timeline and we worked together as if we've been doing it for years. From the ceremony on the beach to last dance it was a well oiled machine. Our bride and groom paid for dinners for all the vendors. I told Ashley about my food allergies and without hesitation she had a lactose free meal for me. That may not seem like a big deal, but I was so grateful. The food was spectacular. Ashley is truly a wedding specialist, always smiled throughout the event. Staff members were also a great crew of people. Ready to help and worked as a team. They too always smiled and respected her. I've been to 100's and 100's of venues but Icona, Avalon \"wowed\" me. My husband & I had an amazing experience from start to finish with Icona Avalon for our wedding. The venue and hotel itself are absolutely stunning (great backdrops for photos!) and it's right on the beach. We had our ceremony in the Ohana Room, cocktail hour outside on the Veranda, and reception in the Seaglass Ballroom - and we were able to open up the Ohana Room into the Seaglass Ballroom for our reception to create even more space! The Ballroom is incredible - it doesn't give you that typical outdated hotel ballroom feel, it has beautiful neutral colors with wood and white accents and is an amazing blank canvas to bring your event vision to life. The staff (Ashley & Alyssa in Events, and Matthew in Group Blocks) were so amazing - answering my millions of questions and keeping everything together. I was planning the wedding from Nashville, so I only went to the venue twice before the wedding. I had total confidence in the team there and everything was executed perfectly. The highlight of the venue to me was how incredibly accommodating they were. Several other venues I looked at weren't willing to budge from their wedding \"packages\

We just got married at ICONA Avalon and I am so, so happy we did. We had a fairly large wedding (250 guests) and I was so nervous about finding a venue that could accommodate everyone. Ashley & Alyssa were incredible and did such a fantastic job. Even the food tasting was a blast! We ended up having a Nor'easter on our wedding weekend and couldn't get married on the beach, but the rainy day arrangements they made were still perfect. The outdoor patio was stunning, the food was incredible and I had so many guests tell me how wonderful the service was! I was so impressed with everything. Even if you don't get the beach wedding you dreamed of, you'll still have a perfect night at ICONA. Thanks to the whole team for making our wedding exactly what we hoped it would be.

We hosted many of our guest at the Icona for our wedding in Avalon NJ in October. The hotel was a fantastic place for our guests to stay with great rooms, fun activities for all ages and the pool still open and warm. The staff was so helpful organizing the wedding room blocks and making sure all our guests got on the correct buses to and from the reception which was a huge help with everything else needing to be planned.We also hosted our wedding after-party at the beach bar where we had numerous fire-pits and food organized which was a great way for us to wind down the evening with our friends and family. We also had an alternative location at the Brew Pub if the weather was not going to be nice.We finally stayed there the night of our wedding and the room was beautiful, couldn't have asked for more!We would highly recommend hosting friends and family and throwing events at the Icona - it was a great overall experience, we (along with many of our family and friends) will be back again soon!

The Chef was able to accommodate ALL of my guest's needs. He even came up with some pretty creative and different options for cocktail hour (which we just loved). We had the beach bar \"after party\" by the fire pits and we just couldn't of been happier with that too. Everyone had the best time at this Venue. Where do I even begin!! Ever since I was a little girl a dreamt of having a Nautical Beach wedding and the Icona gave me the opportunity to have just that!!! I had been searching for the perfect venue for a year. Once I walked into the doors at the Icona I knew this was the one! From the white clean lines and walls to the silver tone finishes and my favorite color navy blue everywhere I invisioned everything right away! But what made the Icona even greater was all the staff from front desk personal to bar tenders and I can forget the amazing wedding coordinators Alyssa and Ashley for making us feel like we were home and family through out the whole process! I knew I was in good hands!! They were always there whenever a question or concern came up and accomidated all of our needs. If you want to have a Wedding Look no where else because Icona is the place to choose!! From the atmopshere to the food its a package you cant refuse!!

My husband and I had our ceremony at the Icona in Avalon and it was absolutely perfect! Since we are not religious and were not getting married in a church we had difficulty finding a venue that was willing to let us do our ceremony only there. The wedding coordinator Alyssa at the Icona could not have been more accommodating to us! They already had a huge wedding booked there, but they were able to let us use their outside covered patio for our ceremony and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Alyssa and her assistant Ashley were absolutely wonderful and made sure my ceremony was flawless! We didn’t have any decorations to use for our ceremony so they lent us a wedding sign and stand to use and set everything up beautifully! They provided us with an office to use before and after the ceremony and catered to our every need. We couldn’t have been happier with the Icona and would recommend them to any and every couple looking for a wedding venue!

My brother and his new bride decided to go to Icona Avalon to spend their honeymoon...their stay was amazing...from eating at the brew pub to lounging on the beautiful beach!Since my daughter was married there in May I contacted Matthew, Ashley and Alyssa and together we arranged to give them a wonderful breakfast on their last day!My brother was so impressed with the service and beauty of the hotel! Thank you for making their honeymoon stay one that they will truly remember!
