Samantha Weber(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-08-2021 Our wedding was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. To start, you feel so close to the mountains. Looking up periodically throughout our ceremony and reception was breathtaking; the grounds are just perfectly nestled within. The food is AMAZING. One of our main dishes was the halibut. Our guests raved about all of the food but especially that halibut! The house is a beautiful place to stay even if it’s just for a weekend getaway, especially because of the home cooked breakfast. Lastly, Rose, Jeff, and their daughter Teal are simply the best. This was the only venue my husband and I looked at which is absolutely because of them. Their energy is so relaxed and genuine. Teal is not bothered by the millions of questions you’ll have and she has everything down to a science. (I went with all of her suggestions for the other vendors needed and they were all perfect.) There were things I had forgotten (and didn’t even think about) on the actual day. Thankfully, they were quickly brought to my attention and fixed so there was nothing for me to stress about. We cannot wait to go back and visit! Reviewed on 02-09-2021
Sarah Egan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-06-2021 The Inn at Tern Lake is a dream. I truly cannot imagine a more perfect Alaskan venue. Not only is it situated in one of the most breath takingly beautiful places on Earth, but the staff are some of the most welcoming, professional, and kind people we have ever met. I was born and raised in Anchorage and now live in California. My husband and I knew this was the venue for us after building so many memories together fishing and exploring the Kenai Peninsula over the years and wanting to share that with our guests who traveled from all over the US. We planned our wedding sight unseen, beginning to end in 4 months with very minimal stress due to the manager and owners daughter, Teal. She. Is. Amazing. Teal answered emails, texts, phone calls at all hours of the day and fast! She went above and beyond to provide recommendations to our guests for everything from hikes to fishing guides in the area and worked closely with my Mother In Law to plan and execute the most special rehearsal dinner ever. In order to reserve the venue we had to reserve all 4 Inn rooms for a 3 night minimum which ensured we had the entire property and did not have to break down the reception right after it ended at 10 pm which is typical at so many other venues. This was a huge bonus and made for such a great long weekend of celebrating. The rooms were spacious, clean and welcoming. We had our rehearsal dinner at the Inn for 29 people and 120 guests at our reception which was held in a tent (CBC rental) on the lawn directly next to the ceremony site. There is a large guest house on the property, several Airbnbs, The Trail Lake Lodge, Summit Lake Lodge and other guest accommodations close by. The food was world class and many of our guests said our wedding food (specifically the halibut) was the best food they ate during their entire trip in AK. The Inn only allows wine, beer, champagne and seltzer which we provided and was kept cold in the pond next to the tent- we hired the bar tender. The Inn does all the catering, provides the cups, silverware, tables, chairs, arbor, cocktail table wooden spools and even some yard games! We rented linens and booked our florist and DJ. We were lucky enough to have a 10/10 Alaskan weather day which was icing on the cake. There was not one thing we would have changed about the day and can’t recommend this magical place more for a wedding big or small, retreat, event or just a weekend away- We will be back again and again. C Simon(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-09-2012 We absolutely LOVED the Inn at Tern Lake and the venue blew our guests away. We searched AK up and down and this was truly a dream spot. First: the owners Jeff and Rose were wonderful to work with in the months leading up to the wedding, and then on our wedding day did everything possible to take care of our guests and make our wedding run without a hitch. Rose did our catering too and all the food was amazing, she is a great cook and got us a good deal on local Halibut. Second: the venue has outdoor and indoor spaces for dinner and dancing and the ceremony. The Inn is classy and Alaskan and the views are glorious. We had our dance party outside under a big tent and at one point our guests ran out dancing in the field in front of the Inn, surrounded by mountains, and everyone was spinning and dancing and it just was the best moment of my life. Third: my husband and I and our family all stayed at the Inn for several days before the wedding. This turned out to be a really special bonding experience for all of us! We had Rose's delicious breakfast every day, practiced our dancing at night, spent time prepping for the wedding and also sneaking in Alaskan adventures. It was so very memorable. Our wedding day was fierce, magical, alive. We loved the Inn at Tern Lake and give it our highest recommendation. \r\rCheck out pictures of the venue here: http://chugachpeaks.com/moose-pass-weddings/the-inn-at-tern-lake/ Reviewed on 05-01-2013
Michelle Wicker(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-08-2011 I could not have been more pleased with this location! Beautiful lodge in the Cooper Landing/Moose Pass area, with both indoor and outdoor spaces. AMAZING mountain views and gorgeous Alaskan scenery! Catering is included, and the food was TO DIE FOR!! Love, love, LOVED every minute of my wedding here! However, it can only accommodate about 100 guests, so if you want a big wedding this isn't the place for you. They also don't allow hard alcohol/liquor, just beer and wine. But definitely check this place out! It's a must see! :) Reviewed on 05-09-2011
