If you're looking for the most romantic venue in the LA area, look no further. It's like stepping into a fairytale with all of the string lights. We absolutely loved getting married here. We got had a little wedding and dinner for 10 people here April 3, 2023. Amanda was our wedding planner, and it was just perfect! Our mission was to find a sacred space where we could have a ceremony nestled in nature, and have a delicious dinner as well. We could not have been happier with the location, the decor, the service, and the food and cake, too! Because of the beauty of the setting, we didn't need to pay for flowers, only a light decoration of the huppah, which they have available. There was an issue with our spotify not hooking up to the speaker which was a bit distracting, but that can be avoided with a sound check, which we failed to do.The cost is very affordable and I really felt like the staff and planner cared very much and really felt like part of our wedding party!Because of all the rain, the creek bed had water flowing, which also was a lovely touch to get married over rushing water. I would highly recommend the Inn for a very special experience. Reviewed on 01-06-2023

For dessert, we did a vanilla custard cake with fresh strawberries, fruit tarts, panna cotta, blueberry cobbler, and lemon bars. They had many delicious vegan and gluten-free options!Amanda was an incredible coordinator for our wedding. For the planning process, she was communicative and accessible for any of my questions or concerns. The weekend of our wedding was the historic winter storm here in Los Angeles. I was so worried, but Amanda handled everything with grace. She rearranged our entire floor-plan to make sure our guests stayed dry. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner / welcome party here and it was absolutely perfect. The ambiance is out of this world - it literally is a fairy tale. But more importantly, the staff was amazing. Jared our event coordinator nailed it. Their attention to detail was better than our actual wedding venue the following day. Jared made sure to ask who all of the special people were that had special requests at the start of the event and made sure everything was running smoothly. They were also the most friendly staff. They made everything feel laid back. I'm sure we stayed a little bit past our time but they never once made us feel like they were kicking us out. And while I know they were working their butts off all night (and leading up to the event), its to their credit that they don’t just make it look easy, that make it feel easy for the Bride and Groom. We fell for the Wedding Coordinator, Holly, immediately. She helped us throughout our year planning period. This is not someone that just shows up to tell you where to stand on day of, she is very involved from day one. Due to a personal situation, we learned that Holly couldn’t actually be there for our wedding a few weeks beforehand. It is not just a credit to how detailed she was through all of our meetings, but to all of her staff- especially Beth and Kat that day of we didn’t even notice that this person who had been so involved through the whole process wasn’t there. Julia G(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-03-2017 We are so, so glad we decided to have our wedding at Inn of the Seventh Ray. The setting felt intimate, magical, and beautiful, the food was delicious, and we and our guests had a blast! It was everything we hoped for and more. The planning:In the year leading up to our wedding, I sent over 100 emails to the coordinator Kelly- and she was wonderful! I was really impressed with the speed of her responses. Although responses were very brief, I appreciated that it allowed us to keep our planning moving! Kelly somehow managed to keep track of all of the details we agreed on together, even little things buried deep within email chains. She must be incredibly organized! The budget was clear:Kelly helped lay everything out in a way where it was completely clear what was included and what every cost would be. There were no surprises whatsoever. I really appreciated this clarity and trustworthiness. The budget was reasonable:We had thought something so gorgeous in SoCal (and with good food) would be well above our budget. I think our wedding really came off looking much more expensive than it really was.The atmosphere:When we saw this place, we felt peaceful, and at home, and like we were in a lovely forest. We hadn’t seen the place in the dark until our reception, and that’s when we were really struck by how completely amazing it is. The twinkling lights came on everywhere, and it felt elegant, intimate, and absolutely magical. Decor:The ONLY decorations we added were our centerpieces and a bundle of flower petals which made the fountain look amazing, and also looked nice at the edges of the ceremony steps. Nothing else was needed. The food:We had the following:Artisanal grilled cheese rounds, Crostini with avocado and tomato, shaved Brussel Sprout Salad and wedge salad, grilled Salmon with Citrus Salsa and Wagyu Flat Iron with a Port Reduction, Truffle mashed potatoes and wild mushroomsWe loved all of the food, and got compliments on it from guests. It looked attractive, and tasted great. The “flow” of the evening:This is where the Inn of the Seventh Ray staff really shined. They were soooo on top of things!! Somehow they managed to have every detail in place, and yet remained flexible enough to help us when we wanted to “adjust on the fly.” My husband and I wanted to move up our “Grand Entrance” because it turned out we felt eager to re-join the party. Since it seemed odd for our guests to greet us and then go back to cocktail hour, Kelly asked, “Would you want me to see if we can move up dinner? I can talk to the chefs!” I was amazed that with almost no notice at all, they moved dinner 15 min earlier for us! Dinner for 75 people! I don’t know how they did it! Every step of the way, Kelly and the other staff made sure things went smoothly. They even helped with some things related to set-up and clean up that we had fully expected would be our responsibilities. Kelly even held our little ring-bearer’s hand and let him know when it was his turn to go (a very sweet moment that I’ll always remember). After everything my husband and I invested leading up to that day, in terms of time and money, it meant the world to us to have such kind and highly competent people helping make it all happen! We were able to relax and have fun, knowing that Kelly and the Inn of the Seventh Ray staff really knew what they were doing! They were terrific! Reviewed on 05-02-2018

Anonymous (bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-04-2016 We just had our wedding at the Inn in April 2016. The venue itself is lovely for a wedding and the food was fantastic. My wedding coordinator Kelly Hancock was such a disappointment. I originally had Heidi Wahl and she had left the venue for some reason and no one ever contacted me until I had emailed her to set up a tasting. Kelly is fast in her emails replies but she was disorganized and not proactive. I was the one constantly asking about details, scheduling tastings, and the rehearsal. Even our wedding rehearsal run through was a mess. She was telling my bridesmaids and groomsmen to stand incorrectly and she was just so frazzled and disorganized. I understand they are day of coordinators and not your personal wedding coordinators but even the day of my wedding, she was a mess. If my bridesmaids and friends had not helped out with the table place cards, setting up tables, escort cards, etc. My DJ and photographer also really stepped up and helped coordinate the whole wedding. She was also rude to my bridesmaid that was trying to help and do her job which is very unprofessional. Multiple things I had emailed her about and she agreed upon was not done the day of the wedding for example certain tables for my dessert table and escort cards. She had promised to save parking in the front for my family so it would be easier moving items in and out of the venue. We had paid extra money per person to have more food and she didn't make sure the restaurant delivered. I honestly don't understand what was going on with her if she had too many weddings on her plate but it was very frustrating and annoying as a bride to deal with someone like her especially the day of my wedding. If you are looking to book this venue for your wedding I would highly recommend it but I would suggest you request another coordinator. Reviewed on 03-05-2016

Becky Kirsch(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-11-2010 We were married in November 2010 at the Inn of the Seventh Ray, and have only the most positive things to say about Wedding Coordinator Kelly Hancock and the entire staff of the Inn. We had an incredible experience there and recommend the Inn very highly. Both our wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Inn. \r\rFrom the very start, it was apparently that Kelly was entirely organized and on top of her game. Both before we booked the Inn and after, she returned emails and phone calls promptly, and was always available for questions, no matter how small. The pricing breakdown for the Inn was sent to us in a clear and concise spreadsheet that was much more detailed than many other venues that we looked at. Budget discussions were met with a can-do attitude, without any judgment. Kelly clearly wanted us to have the best day possible, and did everything she could do make it happen within our means without pressuring us to spend more than we were able. \r\rThe Inn has a unique, magical feel to it, and Kelly took the time to make sure that each wedding was a unique arrangement. Her suggestions were very helpful but never pressing, and she was open to any ideas or requests that we had. \r\rKelly provided recommendations for many vendors who worked with the Inn in the past in various different price ranges, all of whom we were thrilled to work with, and will provide separate reviews for them. \r\rOn the day of the rehearsal, with our wedding party in from out of town, and all of us excited and nervous about the upcoming celebrations, we were all very distracted, but Kelly kept us all focused in a very friendly, gentle way, and was kind and courteous to our parents and family. We could tell that she'd worked with many wedding parties before. On that afternoon, we brought Kelly boxes of things for the following day (i.e. our programs, seating cards, favors, iPod for DJ, etc), and she took care of everything.\r\rThe wedding went beautifully, and Kelly and the amazing staff at the Inn took care of everything perfectly. They were available for our requests and needs at a moment's notice, and our guests felt well taken care of in all regards. Absolutely everything was wonderful, and we couldn't have been happier.
