Jennifer is incredible! As our venue/event contact she was super helpful. She has some great documents to help walk you through the planning process and ensure you have all the details taken care of. We did both ceremony and reception on site, which required more extensive logistics to ensure our vision was executed. Jennifer was there every step of the way to make sure everything was perfect.Can't say enough great things about the staff as well. The bartenders and service staff were extremely professional. In particular our server Rafael checked in on me and my husband throughout the meal so we could ensure we enjoyed the experience despite the whirlwind of the day. Finally - the main ballroom is gorgeous and a perfect fit for those who want an upscale ballroom/venue with the added benefits of being onsite at a hotel.

Jennifer is literally THE BEST!! She went above and beyond throughout our entire wedding planning process and even more the day of our wedding. We received so many compliments from our guest on how accommodating the staff at the InterContinental was throughout the whole weekend.

Jennifer Anderson is an absolutely amazing event manager. She gave out her personal contact information so we could have her help at any time. She was always patient, clear, available, informative, and kind. When my makeup artists canceled the week of my wedding she found me an amazing replacement. Whenever little hiccups occurred she said, \"no problem\" and it truly was no problem for her to manage. She even gave us her personal electric piano to use for a special performance in our wedding reception so we would not have to bring in our own! I always felt comfortable about the venue details falling into place knowing that someone genuinely capable had my back.The view from the hotel is spectacular, and all my guests were pleased with the classy ballroom, great bar service, and tasty food. My husband and I stayed in the penthouse, and it was excellent.

The location is so convenient for out-of-town guests, and the parking is easy to navigate. All of the staff from the front office, to housekeeping, and even the engineers were so friendly and service-oriented. Not to mention the banquet staff who made our dinner service absolutely perfect. Overall, we could not have been happier with our wedding weekend at the InterCon.

We had our daughters wedding at The InterContinental (The IC) in St Paul in September 2021. It was a wonderful experience! The Great River Room has beautiful views, the food was fantastic and working with Jennifer the Coordinator was the best experience. If you are looking for an urban setting, you can't beat the IC in St Paul. We had several out of town guests stay at the hotel and we did too. Great experience. We looked around and I believe we got a good value for the dollar.

We had our daughters wedding at The InterContinental (The IC) in St Paul in September 2021. It was a wonderful experience! The Great River Room has beautiful views, the food was fantastic and working with Jennifer the Coordinator was the best experience. If you are looking for an urban setting, you can't beat the IC in St Paul. We had several out of town guests stay at the hotel and we did too. Great experience. We looked around and I believe we got a good value for the dollar.

THE BEST EVER. We are so happy we decided to work with Intercontinental. Having Jennifer as our go-to person was such a huge relief. She was so knowledgeable, professional, and easy-going. She understood our vision and worked with our other vendors to make sure the day was perfect. If we didn't have Jennifer as our coordinator, I'd truly be lost and stressed. We can't say enough about her and the venue. Our guests absolutely loved the wedding and the services.

The food was incredible, and the overall atmosphere and environment were an absolute dream. I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding or next event. I couldn’t be happier with the service and support I received while trying to plan my wedding. We all know how stressful planning a wedding can be, but when you have the support of an excellent venue/coordinator, it alleviates a lot of the extra unnecessary stress on yourself. There was excellent communication throughout; she answered all of my questions, offered advice based on experience, and did anything she could to help me. 10/10!

The food was incredible, and the overall atmosphere and environment were an absolute dream. I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding or next event. I couldn’t be happier with the service and support I received while trying to plan my wedding. We all know how stressful planning a wedding can be, but when you have the support of an excellent venue/coordinator, it alleviates a lot of the extra unnecessary stress on yourself. We had our wedding last weekend and are so happy we went with the Intercontinental for our big day! Jennifer is awesome to work with and made the planning so easy. She was super helpful leading up to and through the day of the wedding. The ballroom we had our reception in was beautiful and had plenty of space. Our guests loved having everything be in one spot and made it easy for out of town guests. Jennifer went above and beyond our expectations and we would recommend her and the Intercontinental for anyone considering a wedding reception.

We held a small reception due to covid at the Intercontinental. Jennifer was wonderful at helping to create a special intimate environment. She was very responsive and organized! We all also stayed at the hotel as well. The suite had amazing views and helped to make beautiful getting ready photos.

The Wednesday before our wedding, we decided to move our day forward, from Saturday to Friday. This was due to the governor's order banning receptions starting that Saturday. The IC and Jennifer (our contact person) were right there to walk us through our options and to enable us to have the wedding we were planning. It was Jennifer's encouragement that empowered us to make such a last minute decision! She told us to not worry about anything and just focus on being in the moment. She worked with her staff and the rest of our vendors to make it happen and take care of everything behind the scenes. When we walked into the reception we were simply floored! It was like magic; the day we'd been dreaming of unfolded in front of us despite the pandemic craziness! We were able to have the wedding were we planning a day early simply because of the support and effort of so many people spearheaded by the IC and Jennifer! We can't say thank you enough nor recommend them highly enough!!

When my wife and I were trying to find the perfect venue for our reception of 300+ people, two items became very clear for \"must haves\" -- responsive wedding coordinators at he venue (my wife's must have) and a booking that went past midnight (my must have)!The Intercontinental's rooms are very modern; the river room with 180 degrees of windows provided awesome scenery; the staff there responded and handled every predictable (and unpredictable) situation that came up -- exceptionally discreetly. All of this allowed us to enjoy out special day without hassle -- did I mention we partied until 1 am? They also comped us very nice suites the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding.The food was wonderful; that waitstaff was more than accommodating and Jennifer and Lindsey (wedding coordinators) helped plan everything and took care of the finishing details!We highly recommend the Intercontinental!

We knew the intercontinental Saint Paul riverfront was going to be our reception venue the moment we met Lindsay Wayne L, the senior sales coordinator! From the first time we met to the food tasting to the day of our wedding (9/14/2019), Lindsay was extremely attentive and made the entire process not only easy but enjoyable. She made sure everything was in place the day of the wedding so we could just simply enjoy our day! The venue is breath taking and the ballroom was perfect for our 200+ attendees! Everyone raved about the food and their beautiful views from their rooms. When we got to our room at the end of the night, Lindsay had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne for us! I can’t say enough about this venue, all the staff, and especially Lindsay! I highly highly recommend this venue for your wedding or any other big event!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! This is truly one of the most beautiful venues in the twin cities! With floor to ceiling windows on two sides of the ballroom that overlook the river, you can’t beat the views. Other than the aesthetic attributes, the services and hospitality were unmatchable. The food was delicious and we had compliments by majority of our guests about how great their meal was. We had a guest that has celiac disease and who is also vegetarian- the staff went above and beyond to make sure our guest was taken care of! Last but not least, Lindsay Wayne, the senior catering sales manager, is AMAZING!!!! She is the most organized person I know and helps make the wedding planning process a breeze! If you are looking for a spectacular venue with not only great views but stellar service- the Intercontinental is your place!

I had to plan the entire wedding from a different state and Lindsay made it very seamless. The wedding turned out beautiful. My husband and I are so grateful for all the support we received from the Hotel. From the day we arrived there for tour, Lindsay has been so helpful with providing us the details until the day of the wedding! She supported us and guided us to have one of the best day. We made our decision based on the great customer service we got and of course by the beautiful ballroom. Our wedding day is beyond what we expected. My guest loved the food and how everything was organized. What an amazing memory!

We made our decision based on the great customer service we got and of course by the beautiful ballroom. Our wedding day is beyond what we expected. My guest loved the food and how everything was organized. What an amazing memory!

The venue was exactly what we were looking for; we fell in love right away! What I really loved about the venue was the high ceilings and the floor-to-ceiling windows. Our wedding had perfect lighting because of those windows! We were able to take our photos inside the ballroom and just across the hotel is a beautiful fountain and a small park, perfect for pictures. Our coordinator, Lindsay, is the best! She's super sweet, responsive, and informative. She always responded to our questions in detail and was very patient with us. There were no surprises and we had a very positive experience with this venue. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and all of our guests had a great time! We would recommend this place to everyone!

We had the Great River Ballroom the views were spectacular, we wanted an elegant city romance feel and that was very easy to achieve with minimal decorations because of the beauty of this room and the lobby where our cocktail hour was. The suites we had to get ready in were beyond anything I could have imagined, while we did upgrade one because of the number of ladies getting ready together it was worth the extra room, the views and decor for pictures were perfect. All of the staff were amazing and made you feel as though you were the only person they were concerned about, and they ensured everything was just how we wanted it. All the guests were raving over the food and desserts, everything came out looking 5 start and tasted as much as well. They were very willing to accommodate diet needs and did so without a ripple in dinner service. The surrounding outdoor areas are perfect for pictures as well as locations inside the lobby. They truly made our day special!

The moment we began the tour she instilled total confidence in me that she would ensure our day was perfect. Because of Lindsay, I did not feel the need to hire a wedding planner (which I was considering before). She always kept us on track with \"next steps\" and what we should be working on. The InterContinental's preferred vendor list is great. They really do know the best people to work with. The staff the day of the wedding was amazing. My now-husband and I were constantly being waited on and asked what we needed, which is so nice when you are so busy talking to people all night long. I can't speak highly enough of Lindsay and the staff. The food, service and ballroom were all amazing!!

We couldn't be happier with our reception venue choice! The staff really out did themselves! Our guest mentioned to us multiple times how great the service. Our wedding coordinator Lindsay Wayne was more than we could have asked for! She really went above and beyond to make our day the greatest. She was so helpful throughout the whole planning process and made it as stress free as possible. Also, she made the wedding day run smoothly. I felt completely confident that she would take care of anything that went on that day. Each time we visited we felt so welcomed by all the staff and were well taken care of. We really appreciate all the work the Lindsay and her staff did to make the planning process and wedding day so enjoyable. We couldn't thank you enough!! I would recommend this venue to anyone.

The Intercontinental is a good location if you have a large guest list as they can easily accommodate over 250 guests. The renovations add to the appeal of the location. Lindsay was very pleasant throughout the planning process and was quick to respond to e-mails. She is very organized. Using her list of preferred vendors as a starting point and her planning spreadsheets we did not need to hire an additional wedding coordinator. It was very nice knowing that she was doing last minute communications with our vendors checking the final details. The food was good and the chef was flexible allowing us to make changes. They allow for a variety of meal choices and were efficient making sure meals were served quickly. Allergies and dietary restrictions were easily accommodated. There were a few areas which could be improved. When reserving a room block they only release a few rooms at a time. Thus, when guests would book over the weekend often times a specific type of room would be full. Multiple times we had to contact the Intercontinental to add rooms to our block and sometimes this could not be completed until Monday morning. We ended up being charged at the top end of our estimates. This may be because we suspect were charged per drink for every bottle of liquor opened and not the number of drinks consumed. When our uncle left the bar tender gave him a half bottle of liquor and told him that we had already been charged for it. We were also planning to use a voucher system for breakfast the morning after and were told we would only be charged per voucher used. However, the vouchers were never collected so we ended up paying for every guest that stayed at the hotel even though some of our guests had early flights and never came to breakfast. I guess these could be canceled out by the fact that we had room upgrades for our parents and a champagne toast included. Overall, this was a good location to accommodate our large group and the evening went as planned.

We had our reception in the Great River Ballroom where I fell in love with the dance floor- a beautiful marble compass medallion. We worked with Lindsay Wayne, who was professional, accommodating, and kind. She truly made our experience easy and rewarding. I am not the most organized person, so I really appreciated Lindsay keeping us on-task and up to date on everything we needed to provide. Our meetings were always pleasant and we had the opportunity to eat at the Citizen restaurant on a few occasions- always serving delicious food! Out of all of the drama and frustration that can accompany weddings and planning, working with the InterContinental was perfect and completely drama-free. Lindsay even kept track of our vendors and spoke with them before the wedding to get everyone on the same page. The hotel is beautiful and the views are perfect. Many of our guests said our wedding was one of the best they attended, and we are so happy with the way that everything turned out. I highly recommend anyone who is considering the InterContinental to jump right in because you will not regret it!

My fiance and I felt special from the moment we saw and stepped into the Intercontinental. We were greeted by a smiling doorman and valet worker. They made sure that we knew where we were going. Once inside there was water, chocolate, and wine waiting for us. The hotel was very grandeur and elegant. We were pleased with the space and natural beauty of the hall and rooms. There was no bad view of the place. Having it over look the river made the views that much better. Lindsay Wayne, the event planner was more than helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we felt taken care of. Lindsay would answer any questions we had on a timely manner. Even if the questions came at night or on the weekend Lindsay would respond. We had quite a few meetings with Lindsay and each time she reassured us that she had everything under control. She personally worked with our other vendors to get them on the same schedule. Lindsay made many accommodations for our friends, family and ourselves. We highly recommend the Intercontinental for any wedding.

We highly recommend InterContinental Saint Paul for a wedding reception if you are looking for a place that is both classy and fun - and provides top value for high standards. We loved the lower level ballroom for our reception and it was gorgeous - the cocktail space was perfect for our group - lots of energy and fun! The reception room layout enabled us to have tables for 330 without taking down for the dance floor and it is truly a distinctive room and is warm and intimate for a large, workable space. The level of service was remarkable - we worked with Jennifer and she coordinated every little detail, right down to the hanging of the head table backdrop, a unique late-night snack display that WE brought in, and all the display tables and decor. Don't underestimate the value of dropping off the decor and displays earlier in the week and having the confidence it would be set up according to your vision. We literally had no 'day-of' duties other than to have fun. From the beginning, the staff took lots of time to understand our goals and style - and most importantly BUDGET. Jennifer was patient and empowering throughout all the phases of event planning. Note: the extras they include in their prices (dessert, linens, coordination of vendors, minimal rental fee, and more) make this place a true value, in addition to being beautiful. We are so grateful we were lucky enough to have the wedding reception at the Intercontinental!

We were so fortunate to have worked with Lindsay Wayne throughout the entire wedding planning process at the Intercontinental. She has gone above and beyond her role and responsibilities and we are extremely thankful for her contributions and the effort she put forth in making our wedding this past weekend a day of success and a dream come true!! Not to mention how beautiful and magnificent the great river ballroom is!! We continue to receive raving comments on how spacious, elegant, and captivating the ballroom was and how much fun everyone had! The room definitely sells itself, you can have minimal wedding decors and the room is still stunning!!We absolutely cannot imagine going with a different vendor. All the details and the steps were managed so well by Lindsay and the team. As a project manager by trade, she has exceeded my expectations! My Friends and Family have also complimented how friendly the staff were. My family and I are a big foodie family and the #1 priority we had for the wedding was food choice and quality. The food served during the event was good, but we noticed that the food at the food tasting was better. There was a slight deviation, but nonetheless, the rest of the services provided were OUTSTANDING and that made up it!Lindsay was amazing. The venue was beautiful. The food was good. This is best combination you can only hope for!!! We achieved it!!!!

We got married at a family farm in Stillwater and wanted to have our room block at a nice hotel in St. Paul - this was the perfect place. Andrew was very helpful. Once the first 15 rooms in our room block were reserved he helped us add additional rooms to the block (and still at the discounted rate) for our guests.The staff was also able to give out envelopes (we printed, organized and labeled them before handing them over) to the guests, which helped everyone know where & when things were happening. The hotel also printed off breakfast vouchers for our guests (we covered Sunday breakfast for everyone on their own). The breakfast buffet is nice and $15pp, so everyone was happy.The 4 stars is because we had to proactively check our room block and ask if additional rooms could be added, and it was difficult to have additional rooms with a King bed added (rooms with 2 Queens were fine). Otherwise the hotel was great!

I had my wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour and reception) at the InterContinental in the Great River Ballroom on September 17th, 2016. The day was perfection and the space looked incredible! The ballroom was more than enough space for our almost 300 guests, and the \"room flip\" was seamless. We had our cocktail hour in the space just outside the ballroom and the hotel staff transformed the ballroom from ceremony to reception decor in less than an hour! Ashley N was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. She was patient and responsive to our numerous questions and she was always willing to meet in person to go over things. There were a few small communication issues with respect to the guest room block and the tear down timing, but everything was able to be resolved quickly and had no impact on the success of the wedding.I would definitely recommend working with Ashley N and the InterContinental!!

Then we enjoyed our reception and dance back in the beautiful ballroom. There was plenty of space for all our guests. The food was delicious. The hotel rooms are very well appointed and convenient for our guests to just walk back to their rooms when the evening was finished.I would highly recommend the Intercontinental St Paul Riverfront if you are looking for a big, beautiful space to hold a wedding ceremony and reception.

OMG..WOW..AMAZINGWords can not explained how amazing the InterContinental Hotel was and Ashley Nelson the event cordinator at the hotel. It was the most gorgeous venue and the most outstanding food.We looked at so many places to host a 350 plus wedding and the room was not squished and the windows surrounding the venue at night with the view was incredible.it was a dream come true for my daughter. The food was perfect and the service was perfect. A big wedding with not 1 error and food cooked hot to perfection. I am still hearing from my guests that the food was so awesome and tasted amazing. Only at the InterContinental can you say that. I have been to some of the fanciest venues in town and around the country and I must say based on my guests and family, they take the honors as the BEST. Andy the banquet manager came out to ensure everything was going as planned and kept to the timeline. Ashley was there all weekend and even helping me with things that had nothing to do with her job, just helping make sure everything went smooth and i was so greatful. Words can't express the job well done, and the hotel rooms for my guests had views of the cities,and the suites for the bride and groom...what a night. No one wanted to leave.I can't thank them enough and this venue was ************** star . Most stunning venue ever ..Thank you to all for your genrous kindness and love in pulling off the greatest wedding. My friends and guests won't stop talking. Again, FABULOUS and beautiful place. I cannot say enough good words about this venue. From our very first tour to our big day, Ashley Nelson and the venue staff were so helpful and easy to work with. Ashley was very attentive and quick to respond. Ashley went above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect. She would help with everything from venue coordination to general wedding questions. She was there every step of the way. The venue was gorgeous! We had so many compliments on everything from the decor to the food and friendly staff. Having the ceremony, reception, and hotel accommodations in one was also great. Our bridal party and groomsman each spent the day getting ready in our own suites, which were so comfortable and spacious. The venue also works with several other big vendors, which puts some ease into planning! Our big day was flawless! I would chose this venue time and time again and would recommend the Intercontinental and Ashley to anyone!

We had our wedding in the Great River Ballroom with the floor to ceiling windows and beautiful view of the river and downtown St. Paul. It honestly was perfect and Alla was great to work with. We received so many compliments on it being the best wedding anyone has ever been too and having the room be so big - fitting 600+ people, it was great for people to move around in and then dance floor is my favorite. The hotel had just been remodeled - which made me worried but the staff was excellent.

We had our wedding reception at the Crowne Plaza Great River Ballroom, soon to be an Intercontinental, in August 2015. The hotel is nearing the end of renovations and is starting to look quite fancy. We got a complimentary hotel room the night of the wedding which was spacious and very slick. There were some residual construction happening on our wedding day but they did a nice job of putting up nice drapes to separate the reception from construction. \r\rThe Great River ballroom is beautiful and overlooks the Mississippi. The hotel is across the street from a little park area with a fountain close to the river so this was great for pictures. It is also close to very nice parks for pictures ie Rice park near the landmark center. \r\rThe food options on the menu are great but, as the hotel is becoming more upscale, the menu prices reflect this. The hotel minimally negotiates on food prices but provides a full listing up front to you so be sure to assess your budget accordingly. \r\rThere are projector screens that the hotel allowed us to use free as long as we brought our own projectors. Sounds reflects nicely since the ceiling is not too high, we needed about 6 speakers mounted for the whole ballroom. \r\rThe staff was very professional while serving the food and coordinating the event.

The staff and specifically Molly the coordinator were fantastic partners in planning and executing the day. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Our guests were astounded by the ballroom view, the hotel rooms, and the food/drink/service. Once word gets out about this awesome venue it's going to be a very popular and busy place!

When I called, they had no record of my block and the person I had worked with was no longer there, luckily I had the block information which they honored but unfortunately it was pretty late at that point and none of our guests used the hotel and just booked at the other blocks

The Windows on the River room served as the perfect location for our wedding reception. Many of our guests came up to us and told us how unique and beautiful of a location it was. Looking out over downtown with all of the lights lit up could not have been any better for our winter wedding. If you go to look at the room during the day, it may look a little old, but trust us that once it's all decorated at night, it is beautiful!\r\rBeyond that, working with Kaitlin was so useful for our wedding. She had all the answers we needed and more. She went beyond her job to help answer questions that went beyond the venue. She met with us multiple times to make everything perfect, from the food and wine down to making sure we had enough time to decorate. We couldn't have been happier.

We got married in the Minnesota Ballroom and had the reception on the top floor in a room called Windows on the River. We are so thrilled with how everything went! Kaitlyn was our contact throughout the planning process and she was so knowledgeable and responsive. She gave us such peace of mind during the actual event. We got a complimentary room because of our event and it was amazing! It was so luxurious and a welcome respite after a busy day. The view from the top floor was a spectacular backdrop so we didn't have to do anything for decor besides centerpieces. The food was absolutely delicious and we got a lot of comments from the guests as well. The catering staff was friendly, polite and very attentive. We also really appreciated how there weren't hidden fees and it was a one-stop shop for food, venue and accommodations. Members of the family made a weekend trip out of it because the hotel is located downtown near so many attractions. Very highly recommended!

St. Paul Crowne Plaza did a great job to cater to our specific wants and needs for our wedding. The banquet manager was amazing to work with and gave great suggestions. They were also very helpful with room block accomodations. We heard from our guests that they loved the food. After the wedding we had sparkling water and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us in our suite. Every detail was thought out and things ran very smoothly. My only complaints would be: parking and the elevators. Parking-like most places in St. Paul is difficult. The ramp attached to the hotel is very small and larger vehicles are unable to use. We ended using valet for our guests, which worked out very well. The elevators in the hotel are quite slow, but this did not effect my experience overall, just something I noted. I would highly recommend Crowne Plaza St. Paul and especially our banquet manager.

Crowne Plaza was a bear to work with from start to finish. I had 3 different people in charge of my reservation block, so I feel like every time I emailed or called, I got an answer from a different person. They didn't share info either, so when I called to talk with someone, I had to explain the whole situation over and over again. The transportation is expensive and hard to book (except that they sort of strung me along for awhile before finally telling me that they were booked and asking me if I would like to have them come an hour earlier - never mind what time the wedding was supposed to end). And they won't let you use it for more than an hour \"in case they have airport pickups.\" \r\rMy guests also did not enjoy their stay - several people had troubles making reservations under the block, some of them wanted to stay an extra night and were NOT extended the block rate, unlike what most other hotels do, and then the whole computer system was down the ENTIRE weekend of our wedding! All of the guests who stayed there that weekend had to let them make unsecured paper copies of their credit cards and sign something that said it was okay for them to charge the card without a final balance on it! My mom got charged 3 times! She had to call them several times to get it fixed!\r\rI am absolutely in shock of how hard they were to deal with and how poor of customer service they gave. They didn't even reduce the rate or comp anything for the guests who had to hassle with the computer system being down (for FOUR days! Who's computer system is down for FOUR days??). Sure, the location is great, but there are plenty of other hotels in the area. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

And they won't let you use it for more than an hour \"in case they have airport pickups.\" \r\rMy guests also did not enjoy their stay - several people had troubles making reservations under the block, some of them wanted to stay an extra night and were NOT extended the block rate, unlike what most other hotels do, and then the whole computer system was down the ENTIRE weekend of our wedding! All of the guests who stayed there that weekend had to let them make unsecured paper copies of their credit cards and sign something that said it was okay for them to charge the card without a final balance on it! My mom got charged 3 times! She had to call them several times to get it fixed!\r\rI am absolutely in shock of how hard they were to deal with and how poor of customer service they gave. They didn't even reduce the rate or comp anything for the guests who had to hassle with the computer system being down (for FOUR days! Who's computer system is down for FOUR days??). Sure, the location is great, but there are plenty of other hotels in the area. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

The views from the 22nd floor were amazing. The food was great. Here's your draw backs: if you do their package deal, and still want them to serve the dessert (included in package) AND have your cake off to the side and allow guests to grab a cupcake as they please, they charge you extra to allow you do this. They also make you hire security - the security officers were hanging out at the bar all night not doing their job - we had 4 wedding crasher situations, none of which they did anything about. We had permition to gather stuff up the next morning but everything was gone by 8am...Our decorations, cake, etc were missing for 24hrs after the event - apparently the cleanup crew aren't monitored. Our cupcakes were thrown/gone/taken... our cake was destroyed (including the wedding toppers and the 1yr annerversary cake portion).\rOverall, i wish we did it somewhere else.

My husband and I held our wedding reception in the Great Rivers Ballroom. We chose it because of the rooms beautiful character. The large windows give an awesome view of the river. It's a view you can't get anywhere else! Rachel with whom worked with us, was excellent. She was so helpful and answered all our questions. The food at our reception was fabulous except the steak was overcooked. At least it was still tender! Everyone kept complementing us on the desserts too! No one missed not having wedding cake! We had the most amazing wedding day, and we have the Crowne Plaza to thank for that!

We had our wedding at the Windows On The River room on the 22nd floor with the old rotating carousel. It was a perfect wedding! Rachel, the banquet manager, was very efficient and expedient with follow up. The venue was complimented by all my guests because of the view of the Mississippi River and cityscape and the uniqueness of the historic elevator and carousel. Everyone loved literally dancing into the moonlight with the 360 degree view up there. I loved that it had an art deco look about it since we were channeling 1930's old hollywood with our decor. It is definitely spacious enough for 180-200 people (note that we had food stations and not a seated dinner but it worked out that when people wanted seats there were definitely seats for them... just the ebb and flow of a party I suppose). I was worrying about room because I hate weddings that are cramped but it felt very open! I was so busy chatting the whole night that I only ended up trying a few pieces of food but the bites I had were great. The bar service was very friendly also. If I had it to do all over again I would do everything exactly the same!

The Crowne Plaza in St. Paul is a beauitful venue! We used the Grand Ballroom. I was initially attracted to room because of the windows overlooking the river. It was absolutely stunning! Shortly after booking with the Crowne Plaza we were informed the coordinator we booked with left. You think, no big deal, right? Wrong. Crowne went through FOUR wedding coordinators before our wedding. That was a nightmare, having to re-explain what each coordinator had agreed to, feeling like we were being questioned on our contract continuously, spending hours digging up old e-mails to show the coordinators what had been dicussed already with previous coordinators, etc. This added to the stress of planning a wedding. However, the last and final coordinator, Heidi, was fabulous! Very understanding, and nice. She was helpful and accomadating to our wants, and she executed the day perfectly. Overall, the reception was beautiful, and the Crowne's newest coordinator made up for the additional stress! Hope they can hold onto her! Oh, and the food was so-so, not bad, not spectacular. Our guests raved about the salad and the dessert- triple berry tart and carmel cheesecake alternating. The appetizers were also a hit. Just the main course, the chicken, was so, so. We had 300 guests.

We had our reception in the \"Windows on the River\" room - on the 22nd floor! Our event was held during the Twin Cities marathon - we never noticed any problems with our service. A little glitch with room reservations, but nothing major. Would highly recommend.

Good food and nice location, but the Crowne Plaza Riverfront needs to up their game if they want to contend with the finer facilities in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Their prices are out of touch with the rundown ballroom I was in.

We had a wonderful event here. The food was generously portioned, well presented, and tasted great. Our contact throughout the event was really helpful and informative and she even stepped in where our wedding coordinator lasped. The location is great with lots of good outdoor photo opportunities. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We woud recommend it.
