Inwood Oaks Event Center is an elegant wedding venue located in Oakdale, MN. This versatile setting offers a blank canvas that couples can customize to make their dream event space a reality. It's open to hosting elopements and vow renewals, as well as ceremonies and receptions. The modern space at Inwood Oaks Event Center is finished in a neutral color scheme, making it easy to customize to fit your vision. This large ballroom features subtle lighting throughout, perfect for indoor wedding photography. Adorn the ceiling in drapery for a whimsical feel. This venue can comfortably accommodate up to 1,000 guests for a seated event or 1,500 for a standing reception. If you've envisioned a more intimate gathering, the space can be arranged to suit. All celebrations held at Inwood Oaks Event Center are managed by Mintahoe Catering & Events. This professional team is on hand to take care of every detail, from delicious catering, cakes, and drinks to thoughtful planning. You're invited to create a custom menu to suit your tastes and budget. The chefs here will work closely with you to design your dream feast. The service staff is on hand to answer any questions you might have, including with decor and entertainment, helping to make this process as smooth and enjoyable as possible. They can also be called on to take care of setup and cleanup, giving you one less thing to arrange on the day. Everything was perfect. Sydney helped us plan our event and from the start she was extremely detail-oriented and beyond organized. She provided quick and thorough responses to my many questions, and made everything so easy for us. The food was incredible, the staff were great, and the venue was beautiful. Our guests are still raving about the smashed-tini potato bar!

Inwood Oaks was the perfect location for our first hybrid membership event. There was plenty of space for our guests to feel safe and social distance and the property was very clean. Sydney had all the details in place, AVVR provided great sound and the traditional \"chamber chicken\" was delicious!

I got married here 1 week ago and it was absolutely wonderful. Staff was extremely accommodating and Sydney was wonderful to work with. Not only did my guests have a wonderful time, but they absolutely LOVED the food. They said it was some of the best food they have had at a wedding and the chef had to make food for 300 people. We would choose Inwood over and over again!

I got married here 1 week ago and it was absolutely wonderful. Staff was extremely accommodating and Sydney was wonderful to work with. Not only did my guests have a wonderful time, but they absolutely LOVED the food. They said it was some of the best food they have had at a wedding and the chef had to make food for 300 people. We would choose Inwood over and over again!

This is a hidden gem in the Twin Cities. I'll be frank...I was surprised by how much I loved Inwood Oaks for my nonprofit's big event. Our staff and guests thought it was beautiful and they enjoyed the festivities greatly.

Prom Catering was great to work with. They provided bartenders, hors d'oeuvres for our cocktail hour and dinner. \r\rPrior to choosing our food, Prom hosted a huge tasting event for couples with 2015 weddings. If you are able to attend this event, I recommend it over an individual tasting. I feel that we were able to try more options this way, and socialize with other couples also using Prom. \r\rOur bartenders did a great job keeping up with our thirsty crowd. They had signs up at the bar that listed what was hosted and what was part of the cash-bar. \r\rWhile I never got a chance to try our hors d'oeuvres, the guests thoroughly enjoyed them. We did the Southwest Phyllo cups, the bacon onion tarts and a fruit/cheese display. \r\rAs for dinner - you really can customize as much of your dinner as you want. We had Cesar salad - dressing was kind of heavy, but still good. Main courses were Minnesota Chicken (chicken stuffed with dressing), Beef Medallions and Veggie Ravioli. All were equally delicious. And we were able to choose the type of sides we wanted - we had green beans and red baby potatoes. Both were seasoned well and tasted nice. \r\rOne thing that was above and beyond the expected, is that Prom Catering even made just one gluten free meal for a guest that had severe gluten sensitivities. I appreciated the effort and care they put into making sure each guest was able to enjoy dinner. \r\rPrice-wise, I think Prom is in line with other catering companies - about what you'll find elsewhere. But I felt that the quality of service we received was well worth the price we paid for our food and drinks. I'd recommend Prom Catering and would definitely use them again for future events.

Working with Prom Catering and using the Prom Center for my reception was very easy. They asked questions and I gave answers. They set up everything on the day and I never had to worry about it. The only thing I wasn't pleased about was asking permission to tap a keg I had already paid for. They needed to locate a family member, bride or groom to sign off on it which was unnecessary.

Tartan Park was a great location. It was beautiful and accommodated my wedding of around 170 people. The photographers raved about the great picture opportunities and colors available in the area. The guests raved about the location and food. Amy was great with the planning and always answered all of our questions, however there seemed to be some communication issues.\r\rThe day of the wedding was a bit rough. None of the staff greeted anyone in the wedding party and directed them where to go. They did help with centerpiece placement, but only after the MOB had to track down a staff person. The music for the ceremony was really bad and we had to try and figure it out all on our own and try and fix the problems we were having. This added to the stress from the day. \r\rMost of the staff was great. However one staff did argue with our photographers for wanting to take one picture with us outside before the sun set completely. \r\rTartan park did take care of all set up and take down and clean up. Everything was in one location, making it easy for the wedding party as well as guests. I'm sure it is rather pricey compared to other options, but it was overall a great venue and we had an amazing day.

The Prom Center was great! The night went off without a hitch. Everything flowed smoothly and my guests had a wonderful time. The staff was great and professional. The food was delicious:) The room looked fabulous and I loved the additional space of the fireplace room. We had the bar in there with extra space for people to hangout and talk as well as being able to fit our photo booth in there! \rThe only downside was that I ended up bringing in my own wedding coordinator in for the day of the wedding for a couple hours because they had an event in our room that morning and did not start setting up the room until 2:00pm. I wanted to feel comfortable knowing someone was there that knew how I wanted everything set up and how it was suppose to look especially in such a short time frame since our reception started at 4:30 pm. I also had to find a couple people who were not invited to the wedding (friends of my sister in law) to come put on chair covers since they couldn't be put on earlier and I wanted to save myself $1200 in additional fees for chair cover delivery and set up. Overall everything was wonderful and my husband and I were very happy.

They contract exclusively with Prom Catering, and we were very happy with the customer service we had with both the Tartan staff and the Prom staff. They were so helpful in setting everything up for us; we didn't have to worry about a thing. The night went smooth and everyone had a great time - not a single hiccup to deal with. (As an added bonus, the beautiful grounds make for great photo opps, too).

As soon as my husband and I got to the Prom Center, Amy greeted us and made sure to make sure everyone was happy. Throughout the night we were greeted by many staff and they were all so accommodating. We were happy, our parents were happy and we even had guests say how great the Prom Center was.

We went with butler-passed hors d'oeuvres and a buffet dinner set-up, due to the number of guests and our desire to offer options. As far as quality of food, presentation, service and value are concerned, Prom fully satisfied us, and especially our guests. Our guests are still talking about the MN chicken and the sausage-stuffed mushrooms. We could not be happier with everything that Prom provided. You get what you pay for, and with Prom, you will not be disappointed. If only we could've used Prom for our bar service as well! Love you guys - thanks for a wonderful dinner and awesome service, as always!!! Andrea

We had to use Prom for our alcohol as our wedding was on a Minneapolis Park site and they are the exclusive vendor...prices seem really high even for the catering world. Customer service was prompt and efficient and the bartenders at our event worked hard and were very pleasant.
