We had the wedding of our dreams at Jacob’s berry farm this past October! The venue is gorgeous and Denise, the venue coordinator, truly was amazing to work with. She was quick to reply to all of our emails and texts, and was always happy to show us around and share her expertise when we needed help. There was an area for the guys to get ready and hangout as well as a separate building for the girls to get ready and not be seen by the groom. There are so many options for where to have the ceremony, all beautiful, we chose to have our ceremony in the grass under the apple trees and it was perfect! We had about 80 guests and there was plenty of space for a larger wedding. Denise helped make sure everything went off without a hitch, even helped hold our dog before his turn down the aisle. We had our wedding on October 14, 2023, and we could not have picked a more beautiful venue! The weather was perfect and the fall colors really showed here. My husband and I are both from out of state, and we decided on having our wedding in Gardnerville, NV as it is between both our homes (Northern California and Utah), so it was a good, “meet-in-the-middle” location. My husband was actually the one to find this venue for us and it could not have been more perfect for my vision. We wanted a rustic, western, yet-classy style wedding and that is exactly what we got. The barn was absolutely beautiful with the lights and how it was decorated. One of the best things about this location is that both parties (groomsmen and bridesmaids) have a place to get ready ON THE VENUE! I had 11 bridesmaids and he had 9 groomsmen and we had more than enough space to get ready without seeing one another. Denise, the venue manager, was the nicest person ever and incredibly knowledgeable in event planning. She helped us out so much at the rehearsal and was so accommodating on the day of the wedding. She made me feel at ease and so beautiful as a bride. We sincerely appreciate all that she did to truly make this the most magical day of our lives. After the wedding, we were sad because we just wished we could relive that beautiful day over and over again. I highly recommend this as your wedding venue to anyone! You will be in the best hands and your wedding will be a fairy tale! Thank you Jacobs Berry Farm for all that you did for us! We loved it! Reviewed on 30-10-2023

Becca Baumruck(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-07-2018 Jack and Diana Jacobs, along with their son Jim, were so wonderful to work with during our wedding. From the early planning stages to the big day, they offered support and advice for every detail of our wedding. Brooke La Fata of My Wedding Library was also very helpful in planning and executing our wedding. On our wedding day, an unexpected thunderstorm rolled through, and the Jacobs Family Berry Farm staff jumped into action so quickly and smoothly that most of our guests didn’t even know that dinner was supposed to be on the lawn, and not in the barn. Brooke was very instrumental in rallying the troops to get this done quickly and efficiently so that we did not have to worry about it and could focus on entertaining our guests. The venue at Jacobs Family Berry Farm is very unique and special. There are multiple areas that can be used for ceremonies, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, with each being unique and special in its own way. If you are getting married in the Carson Valley, I strongly recommend Jacobs Family Berry Farm! Reviewed on 22-07-2018
Heidi Draper(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-06-2013 I have a thing for old barns...\r\r...and my wife to be (Heidi), and I (Jason), had been looking for a \"barn-chique\" venue for over a year. Anyone who is looking for a wedding with the addition of a rustic barn setting will understand just how difficult this can be. The barns are either run-down, filled with livestock or to far away. \r\rAs our wedding date steadily approached...Heidi began to unravel like a ball of yarn played with by a feral cat. It was only her husband to be's, steadfast devotion, and patience that was holding it all together.\r\rIn a conversation with a very good farmer friend of mine I learned of Jacob's Berry Farm. \r\rMy friend explained that Jack and Diana Jacobs were transplants from the bay area. Jack was a civil engineer turned Berry Farmer and Diana was the glue that held Jack together. After his many years helping the Bay area continue to function, Jack had decided to throw his lot into the berry business. With their vines nearing maturity, Jack and Diana decided to get even more creative with the property they had found; beginning a venture into using the farm as a wedding venue.\r\rHeidi and I called up the Farm and I spoke with Jack on the phone. We had a pleasant conversation about our mutual friend and how Heidi and I had come to know of Jacob's Berry as a wedding venue as they had just begun to venture into event hosting. After being invited down by Jack, Heidi and I started to become fairly excited about the prospect of finding what we had been looking for.\r\rArriving at Jacob's Berry Farm Heidi and I instantly knew that we had found what we had been looking for all along. The long driveway takes you directly back to the Jacobs's large farm house which has been immaculately restored. A oversized cotton-wood with a swing big enough for bride and groom fronted one of the finest examples of barn that had existed in the valley's alfalfa hay days.\r\rJack met us as we drove up and offered a healthy wave. In a few short minutes Heidi and I were in love with the venue (there simply are not enough words to do is justice), furthermore we were taken by Jack and Diana's welcoming presence. This was two very kind people taking us in for a glass of lemonade as we discussed everything under the sun.\r\rAfter landing the Farm as a venue Jack and Diana continued to be as thoughtful and supportive of our desires for the big day as they were when we first met. They were both are excited and motivated to see Heidi and I realize the day we had been dreaming of for so long.\r\rWe would offer that Jack and Diana's \"Jacob's Berry Farm\" is one of the finest venues that could be offered in the Northern Nevada area. I personally would like to thank them one more time in this setting as they were nothing...short...of perfect.\r\rV/R\r\rJason and Heidi Rich Reviewed on 14-11-2014
Ashley Ensminger(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-08-2014 The Jacob's Family opened their home to us and made us feel like family. There are so many options with this venue that it is hard to choose! There are several areas where the ceremony and reception can be held, and the family has photos from each wedding to help you decide. We chose to hold our ceremony on the west lawn under the trees, and when it started pouring our family and friends and gathered under the tree with us to stay dry. It was one of the best moments of the day, we still have people telling us how amazing it was. We had planned to have our reception under the apple trees, but due to the rain everything was moved into the barn at the last minute. Everything ran so smoothly, although unplanned, that we had guests who didn't even know dinner was supposed to be held outside. We ended up with a beautiful sunset and rainbow, the picture opportunities were endless.\rThe property is so beautiful that you really don't need to decorate much. They have antiques everywhere that are available as long as you ask; old gates, stumps, doors, wood boxes, etc. We even got to use an antique podium during our ceremony. The property is available to you for the entire weekend; set-up on Friday, wedding Saturday, and clean up on Sunday. This relieves so much of the wedding stress knowing you can have it all setup the day before, and clean up the day after. \rJack was more accommodating than we ever expected. He replied to emails and phone calls quickly, and invited us to the property whenever we needed to take another look. Diana is the sweetest person I think I've ever met. She provided snacks and drinks to us while we were getting ready in the gorgeous bridal area. \rIf you are considering the Jacob's Berry Farm as a venue, all you have to do is drive out and purchase some berries, honey and jam and you will be sold! We can't thank them enough for our wonderful day! Reviewed on 08-10-2014
Anonymous (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-09-2013 I was so fortunate to find Jacobs Family Berry Farm while searching the internet for the perfect wedding venue. I love everything about the Berry Farm, but I will highlight some of my favorite things. You can't get a more beautiful place that allows for flexibility...you can get married under the 100 year old apple trees...or in the backyard on the beautiful lawn...or in the barn...or in front of the barn. This was also one of the only venues I found that you get to have for the whole weekend instead of a limited number of hours which require the bride and groom to clean up immediately after the reception. Jack and Diana are wonderful hosts. They are very organized and welcoming. They provided champagne, wine, fruit and cheese while us girls were getting ready and Jack took some great photos of our wedding that I still cherish to this day. They keep the property in tip top shape and the photo opportunities are endless. This is also a great venue because it gives you an option if you are planning an outdoor wedding, but it rains on your wedding day. I would know. At almost the last minute, we had to change up many things about our wedding to keep guests warm and out of the rain. There are many venues where this wouldn't be an option. Jack was also very willing to help me get the vision I wanted. He hung lights for me up on the really tall barn doors and moved some of the large props they have (a wagon, an old truck, etc) to the locations I asked. I have the greatest memories from that day and would absolutely recommend the Berry Farm to any bride and groom. Reviewed on 19-09-2014
