J&D farms.. A place for weddings
J&D farms is a barn and farm wedding venue in Gadsden, AL. This rustic locale features numerous sites to hold your festivities. You can make this setting the backdrop for a truly unforgettable wedding day. The J&D farms team presents you with beautiful options for your special celebration. You can exchange your vows in the elegant Stone Garden Terrace, inspired by Japanese zen gardens and Southern farms. Oak trees on a hillside surround the terraced seating for up to 150 guests and a verdant garden, as a flowing stream with waterfalls adds to the ambience. The Stables is an event barn constructed with reclaimed materials and featuring a whitewashed interior. This rustic space is 2,600 square feet in size and can host up to 220 seated guests. The Carriage House provides superb on-site accommodation for a wedding party or honeymooners. J&D farms can host your wedding ceremony and reception. The venue team can also offer accommodation on the premises.

J and D Farms was the best possible place that my husband and I could have dreamed of having our wedding. It was extremely reasonably priced, the owner was personable and checked on us often leading up to the big day, and referred us to all of the best vendors. I loved that we had full access to the property all day Friday and Saturday, and weren’t rushed out on Sunday morning. The staff was so helpful and accommodating and made me feel like a Princess in every way. My husband loved every minute of the experience (and he’s very particular). I would highly recommend J and D to anyone looking for their perfect wedding experience. It was private, intimate, and we felt right at home.

When we chose J&D, we knew it all would be a stunning day. But nothing can prepare you for the day. Danny and his crew went above and beyond for me and Bradley. I’m sure there were mishaps in the day, but everything was handled beautifully. I would often find myself on the balcony of the carriage house just watching the crew and vendors make things happen. Our stay there was nothing short of incredible. I would recommend J&D Farms over and over and over again for another bride to have the same experience I had.Danny, I know your sweet wife is smiling down on you and is so proud. Thank you, again for being a huge part in making our day perfect.

When we chose J&D, we knew it all would be a stunning day. But nothing can prepare you for the day. Danny and his crew went above and beyond for me and Bradley. Danny and everyone at J&D were incredible! We had our rehearsal and our wedding at J&D and Danny and Roni were our photographers!! They took two beautiful rounds of engagement pictures for us (we ran out of light at the first shoot so he let us come back and do a whole session in our remaining outfits!). Honestly that was so kind of them because I don’t know a lot of photographers that would do that for someone! Danny gave us excellent recommendations for other vendors and allowed us to visit the farm to check things out multiple times! We were even able to pop in on a wedding there (with permission from the bride and groom of course) to see how everything ran. If you choose J&D I definitely recommend having Danny do your photography and also definitely stay in the carriage house — it is beautiful! The whole venue is like something out of a fairytale. You feel like you’re in a whole different world! I could go on and on about how accommodating they were! If I had to do our wedding over again, I would choose J&D 60 times over. Super professional, talented, and kind!

I wish I had a more poetic way of saying this but there are no other words to describe my wedding experience with this place other than AWESOME. Danny and his team are quite literally the most wonderful and accommodating people on earth. All details were taken into consideration, I never once felt rushed or heckled with due dates, and they had the perfect recommendations for other vendors in the area. All of my guests LOVED the property and some even told me they wanted to inquire about having their wedding at the farm! It was seriously such a personal experience. The staff became friends to me by the end of the night. I wish I could turn back time because I would relive our wedding every single day and never change a thing. Love this place and love these people. If you're a bride looking for the perfect venue, look no further.

The owners go over and beyond to ensure you are taken care of--from the time you book to the time you depart! I would highly recommend J&D Farms for a wedding. Our daughter was recently married there and everything was PERFECT!! I can’t say enough about sweet McKenzie who was our point of contact. McKenzie was so calm the entire time and patiently put up with this crazed and stressed-out mother of the bride! She is definitely a go-getter and a calming influence on everyone. Nothing phased her. She has seen it all and has a solution for every problem. She was accessible all the time for me to ask questions. We were from out of town and we made several impromptu visits and she was very flexible and worked with us each time. We changed things a few times and it was no problem. We had every little detail planned and then there was rain in the forecast. Not a problem. She had a back-up plan. When it looked like the rain would hold off she had the tables moved out in the grassy area in minutes. When it did start raining a few hours after the wedding we all just went into the barn and she made sure to get everything inside and out of the rain. Anytime I needed anything she was right there. She had people helping her and they were awesome as well. I don’t think she sleeps because she was there the entire time from early Friday morning until we left Sunday at lunch. The venue itself is amazing! It’s so beautiful and is laid out very well. There are so many options for brides. One of the selling points for us was the indoor Stables which had air conditioning. We didn’t think we’d need it but leave it to Alabama to have record breaking heat the week of the wedding in October. So the ceremony was held there and the reception at the barn. Another selling point is that we had access to the venue from 8:00 am Friday morning until Sunday at 11:00 am. We were able to unload and set up everything on Friday so we didn’t have to worry about it on Saturday. The decorator also was able to get a lot of his set-up done on Friday and then added flowers and finishing touches on Saturday. The Carriage House is an added bonus. It’s so gorgeous inside. And they are dog-friendly so our daughters two dogs were able to stay with her Friday night and with the bride and groom after the wedding. They loved being out on the front deck and looking out at everyone on the day of the wedding. And the on-site goats are adorable!!! Yes they have 3 pet goats. We loved them.All of the twinkle lights and candles made the place magical at night. It was stunning. Everything didn’t go as planned (hello heat and rain!) but it still turned out perfectly. An excellent venue.

We took a tour here about a year ago and the owner was AMAZING! We started talking about our struggles to find a venue who would take us (we are a same sex couple) and he was so understanding and accepting. I actually started crying while talking with him. Their website is the best one I've seen, so much information is on the site you know pretty much everything before even going to J&D. The pictures also do not do them justice (even though they are wonderful as well). If you think the pictures are stunning wait until you see this place in person!! Him and his wife are both photographers and as we were touring he was telling us ways they try to make everything picture perfect. Small details other venues wouldn't think of like the perfect spot for cars so they won't be seen in pictures to hiding an ice cooler so them or the guest wouldn't snap pictures of it and mess up the photo. Every little detail they are have you covered. I am not having my wedding here due to the fact my fiancee's family lives over an hour away and theres so many of them it does not make sense to have so many people drive that far so we are having it closer to them. If this wasn't the case I would have my wedding at J&D farms with no questions asked! Even though I am not having my wedding here I'd recommend them to anyone! I know they will take such great care of you on your special day!!

I just got married at J&D farms on September 30th and I can't brag enough about this place. First of all, the venue is absolutely breath taking and so romantic. The owner, Danny, is with you every step of the way. He is always available to answer questions and he is the nicest person you'll ever meet! He also did our photography and we are SO happy with the results. We are from Birmingham so we asked Danny to suggest vendors in the area and every single vendor he suggested did a wonderful job! Everyone is so easy to work with and so nice! We had the most beautiful and fun wedding day and we are SO happy we chose J&D farms!

After visiting several wedding venues in Georgia, we decided to take our search to Alabama in hopes of finding our dream location. The moment we arrived at J & D Farms, we knew we would host the most special day of our lives there. The scenery was absolutely breath taking, the landscape was nicely kept, and every detail had been thought through in order to tie the entire property together into one beautiful venue. Our guests were so impressed! We predominantly worked with Danny, who was always so kind, helpful, and quick to respond to our questions and meet our requests. We could not have asked for more. Our wedding was truly a dream come true and we are so grateful to J & D Farms for making it possible!

We absolutely fell in love with the venue from the beginning because it's almost impossible not to, but the initial interaction we had with the owners confirmed that this would be the place for our wedding. Danny and Jana were quick to respond to our website inquiry and schedule a thorough tour of the grounds. Every question we asked was answered and every request was fulfilled almost immediately from the time of the tour all the way up until our wedding day. Although J&D Farms has several wedding packages to choose from, we were able to create a customized plan for our rehearsal and wedding to remove items we did not need and to include extras as well. We included a two night stay at the carriage house and aside from being a beautiful place to get ready and take pictures, it proved to be very convenient to stay on the property with access to any thing we could possibly need to prepare for our big day! Having access to the grounds the entire day before the wedding, the day of and the morning after allowed us to set up and break down with ease. There are truly no adequate words to express the hospitality we received not only from the owners but from every single employee we encountered during our time at the farm and we will be forever grateful to this amazing venue for helping make our wedding day one we will never forget!

We absolutely fell in love with the venue from the beginning because it's almost impossible not to, but the initial interaction we had with the owners confirmed that this would be the place for our wedding. Danny and Jana were quick to respond to our website inquiry and schedule a thorough tour of the grounds. Every question we asked was answered and every request was fulfilled almost immediately from the time of the tour all the way up until our wedding day. Although J&D Farms has several wedding packages to choose from, we were able to create a customized plan for our rehearsal and wedding to remove items we did not need and to include extras as well. We included a two night stay at the carriage house and aside from being a beautiful place to get ready and take pictures, it proved to be very convenient to stay on the property with access to any thing we could possibly need to prepare for our big day! Having access to the grounds the entire day before the wedding, the day of and the morning after allowed us to set up and break down with ease. There are truly no adequate words to express the hospitality we received not only from the owners but from every single employee we encountered during our time at the farm and we will be forever grateful to this amazing venue for helping make our wedding day one we will never forget!

We bought the largest package from J&D and couldn't have been happier. Since they know the best places on the farm to take pictures, we chose to let them do our photography as well and were very pleased. They are truly 2 of the nicest people you will ever meet and are right beside you every step of the way. We had more people than expected to show up and Danny quickly found more seats for them and did a great job keeping me calm. You have no idea how beautiful the farm is until you see it in person. Slightly modern features with rustic decor was ideal for our personalities and everybody talked about how nice the venue was. Besides the hot summer sun, our day was perfect. With many weddings under their belt, they have very good advice and I'm glad I listened! Take it from a perfectionist, J&D is definitely worth a look. We have absolutely zero complaints and highly recommend them. Worth every darn penny!

J&D Farms was such an amazing & beautiful place to get married! I would recommend it to every bride currently looking for a venue. Danny went above and beyond to make sure that my husband and I had the best day imaginable. He was always courteous and flexible during the planning process, often allowing us to come to the venue to look around (sometimes for several hours). He even allowed us to attend the wedding of another bride, just so that we could see how everything gets set up. The level of personal service can’t be beat!\r\rWe held our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on the grounds. There were several people from the venue on hand that night to make sure everything moved smoothly. Danny himself stayed and helped us work out an issue with one of the suppliers (the heater wasn’t working properly and he fought on our behalf).\r\rTheir selection of decorative items was extensive and incredible! On top of everything they allowed us to use from their own supply, Danny allowed us to use almost anything else we brought in. He cared much more about making sure we enjoyed our night, than a big list of rules or regulations.\r\rIt was a fantastic place to get married and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience.

I had my wedding at J&D Farms on 10/11/14 and it was amazing. I was living in Oklahoma but my fiance was in Alabama, I knew nothing about Alabama or where to start, but Danny and Jana were so helpful with helping me find vendors for food, cakes etc. Any time I needed to text or call them with questions they made the time for me. The venue is absolutely beautiful. We had the ceremony in the orchard and the reception in the barn. Everyone had such a great time and couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was. If you want a dream come true wedding have it here! Seriously!

I had the best experience working with Danny and Jana and everyone at J&D Farms. They make your day as stress free as possible and the venue is absolutely beautiful. We had bad weather during our reception, and Jana and Danny both were willing to extend our hours at the venue to make up for the time we lost due to the storms. Jana and Danny have created a venue that is magical. There are so many options. I had a orchard wedding and a barn reception. The barn is so beautiful that there is little to nothing that has to be done to have it wedding day ready. Not only was the venue perfect, I used Danny and Jana as my photographer. To say my pictures were wonderful is an understatement. They made my wedding day perfect! I will recommend J and D Farms to everyone! The kindest people we met during the wedding planning experience. If you're going for shabby chic, elegant, natural or anything in between, the setting can be arranged at J&D Farms. The land is simply gorgeous with ceremony and reception options of an apple orchard with antique church pews or poolside or a rustic yet fabulously clean barn with amazing architecture. The atmosphere is that of relaxation and class. I could not have been more relaxed on a day that tends to stress out brides. The owners of the farm and, how convenient, also amazing and creative photographers, are both the sweetest people and very professional all at the same time. They let you choose your own caterer, band, photographer or anything else that other locations might lock you into. We chose them as the photographers (J&D Photography) and are 100% pleased with their work. You will not lack any scenery or backdrops for photos since the land has so much to offer. There is a finely crafted carriage house where the bride and her party gets ready. I would recommend this location a million times over to any engaged couple looking for a wedding venue. My husband and I are elated to have gotten married there.

The barn is beautiful but it is very small, has no air conditioner, and it next to the people's home. It also only has one restroom right at the door of the barn. It would be great for an outside wedding in front of the barn!

There are not enough words to describe our experience at J & D Farms. Danny & Jana are so friendly and personable. They went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we hoped it to be. They were very accommodating and always anxious to help when needed. The farm itself is a complete dream. My husband and I were going for southern elegance, and the farm completed our fairytale wedding. If you are looking for the perfect southern wedding J & D Farms is the venue for you!
